Hello, my unapologetic beauties, I hope you all are well and keeping safe. For today's episode, I am joined by Azandria "Tiffany" and we will be discussing self-acceptance. For Tiffany to be a woman of colour who has a visible flaw, it was a great difficulty for her to truly accept and value herself as someone who is uniquely beautiful and who has a lot to offer. Because of her prior inability to fully accept herself, it impacted her relationships, her career, and her overall life. It was a journey for her to get this place where she can look at her reflection and be in love with her flaws and herself. This topic is important to many women of colour because so many of us struggle with self-acceptance and self-love. It hinders us from taking that step to better ourselves and our lives and also makes us feel unworthy and undeserving of love and a good life. Hello, my unapologetic beauties! I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe! For today’s episode, I was inspired to discuss the topic of manifestation and social media influencers. This topic came to mind following the B. Simone controversy that has transpired over the last few weeks. Is manifestation something that you can teach and profit off of? Should we really be listening to some of these online influencers? Are we too dependent on these influencers? How do we know which ones to support and which ones to let walk on by?

Thank you for tuning into another episode of "Unapologetically Black" brought to you by "Unapologetically Her" In light of the protests and all that has been going both across the border and here in our backyard, I realized that it’s not only my due diligence but my responsibility and right to use my platform to not only voice my thoughts and feelings but to allow others to share their voice and thoughts as well. The goal is to not only discuss what’s going on but to discuss how we’re feeling, talk about personal experiences, our history, about oppression, interracial relationships, what it’s like to be out there on the front lines, how it feels to be black in today’s society. There are so many different ways to experience it, but in one way or another, we’re all able to relate to each other. The goal is to touch on the things we don’t always get to hear about, and from the voices that you wouldn’t normally hear from on a day to day basis. In this episode, I am joined by Tiffany (@justcallme_tifff), a mother fo two who was both strong and brave enough to join the podcast and share her story. The piece that you heard recited at the beginning of the episode is titled “White and Black” by Tarik Boyce from his first book of poetry “Black, Blue, Green.” A book with a collection of 10 years of poetry writing.
