The uncomfortable truth is when you change your values, the people who benefited from the old ones resist. This week we're talking about boundaries and the messy, guilt-inducing, relationship-testing reality of them. I've struggled most with boundaries around my time and energy—the assumption that because I'm home, my time is everyone's time. But being home doesn't mean being available. Your time still has value, even if nobody is paying you for it. If you've ever asked yourself "why are boundaries so hard?" this episode explains exactly why—and what you can do about it. In this episode: Why we struggle with boundaries (spoiler: nobody taught us, we were raised to be nice, and we watched our mothers operate from obligation) The critical difference between nice and kind—and why you can't be nice and have boundaries, but you can be kind with them What boundaries actually are (and what they're not): protection of your time, energy, values, and peace The survival-level fears that keep us from setting boundaries: what if they get angry? What if they leave? What if I'm selfish? Why the people who love you for your compliance don't actually love you—they love what you do for them Where you need boundaries: with kids, parents, spouse/partner, friends, and yourself Quote of the week: "Boundaries are not mean or selfish. Boundaries are limits on what is acceptable, what we tolerate or participate in. They act as a protection of our time, energy, values, even our peace." Practice for this week: Notice. Notice where you need a boundary. Where do you feel depleted? Exhausted? Resentful? Where are you saying yes and then upset that you didn't say no? Write it down. Get curious.

In this gripping episode of The Feds, host Stephanie Weidle sits down with Kacy Dixon, a former military intelligence officer and JAG attorney, to unpack the ongoing legal and administrative challenges surrounding the reinstatement of military personnel impacted by COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Kacy reveals how refusal of vaccines, testing, and masking has created significant hurdles in the reinstatement process through the Board for Correction of Military Records (BCMR), where the work and burden of proof unfairly rests on service members. She discusses the broken religious accommodation process, marked by blanket denials during COVID that have set a troubling precedent for flu shot declinations, and shares insights from her candid conversations with senior Pentagon officials. Highlighting systemic flaws, including scrubbed records and "failure to promote" labels blocking reinstatement, Kacy proposes a dedicated BCMR subgroup to streamline COVID-related cases and advocates for retroactive severance pay through new appropriations as a fair resolution for all, including the military.Kacy emphasizes the urgent need for accountability, noting that some officials acted knowingly while others were negligent, yet all must face consequences to prevent future injustices. With no clear mechanism for accepting reinstatement offers and a military legal system that courts have deemed a "sham," this episode exposes critical gaps in the process and explores solutions that could restore trust and fairness. Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on the fight for justice, the complexities of military policy, and the path toward meaningful reform in this post-mandate era.Follow Kacy on X: @KacyJDixon Check out Feds For Freedom's SubstackListen to The Feds on all platforms: https://taplink.cc/fedsforfreedomVisit our Website: FedsForFreedom.org Follow Feds For Freedom on Instagram/X (Twitter)/Facebook: @feds4freedomusa

In the latest episode of our podcast, we had the honor of sitting down with Jack, a dedicated husband, father, and tech sales coach who is on a mission to empower Christians to launch successful careers in tech sales. This episode is packed with inspiration, practical advice, and valuable insights for anyone looking to transform their career while keeping their faith at the forefront. A Journey of Transformation Jack's story is one of redemption and transformation. Growing up in a military family, he faced the challenges of constant relocation and the instability that often accompanies military life. Despite growing up in a Christian home, Jack struggled with addiction and found himself in a pivotal moment while in jail. It was during this time that he experienced a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit, leading him to commit his life to Jesus. Jack's journey reminds us that even in our darkest moments, there is hope and the possibility for change. His path from addiction to faith has shaped not only his personal life but also his professional mission to help others find success and fulfillment. - https://youtu.be/Beswq_JIaD8 Key Discussion Points: Get Rooted Encounter Grace Do Not Give Up Take Action Now Ask The Right Questions Purpose In Suffering Moment Of Surrender Faith Over Fear Cost Of Inaction Message For Struggling Men - Want to learn how to Podcast?  Check out my course How To Start, Launch, & Run Your Podcast in 30 days HERE! He believes that many job seekers fall into the trap of waiting for opportunities to come to them, rather than taking proactive steps to reach out and showcase their value. This insight is especially relevant for those looking to break into tech sales, a field that offers significant potential for growth and success. Jack encourages listeners to adopt a mindset of ownership. He shares practical strategies for networking, including the importance of personal connections and the value of mentorship. By building relationships within the industry, job seekers can fast-track their success and navigate career transitions with confidence. Startups vs. Established Companies Another key discussion point in this episode is the difference between working for startups and established companies. Jack outlines the pros and cons of each, highlighting that while startups may offer higher pay and faster career advancement, they come with increased risks. Conversely, established companies provide stability and structured career development but may have lower salary offerings. For anyone contemplating a career move, this detailed analysis offers valuable insights into making informed decisions based on personal goals and risk tolerance. Practical Tips for Daily Success In the hustle of daily life, Jack shares how he maintains his relationship with God and prioritizes family. He discusses the challenges of balancing work and personal commitments, emphasizing the need for intentionality in nurturing one's spiritual life. Jack's practice of setting aside time for prayer and reflection serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of grounding our lives in faith. If there's one thing I've learned in the realm of psychedelic medicines, it's that it REALLY helps to have a solid foundation of spiritual practice before connecting with these medicines. The truth is that much of what we face in these experiences is going to be challenging & by allowing yourself to tap into modalities such as breathwork & fasting, for instance, beforehand, you prime yourself with the necessary experience to handle these challenges & come out seeing them happen for you, rather than to you. Todays guest on the show is a man who along with having an incredible spiritual foundation from which he teaches & trains from, is no stranger to challenging experiences within the realm of psychedelic medicines & in this episode, we dive right into some of these experiences, what he's learned as a result of them, how breathwork & fasting has supported him in these experiences & much, much more.  https://www.highlyoptimized.me

Clint Riggin is a successful entrepreneur, coach and is now diving deep into his faith in seminary school. Earlier in life, he struggled with drug abuse, partying, hanging around the wrong people and suicide contemplation. It was when he surrendered his life to Christ when he began to see substantial change in his life for the better and a greater purpose for his existence.  In this episode, we first unpack Clint's crazy upbringing where he enlisted in the Navy and professionally competed in bodybuilding, but then turned to drugs, partying and alcohol to be seen by society. This led him down a dark path of depression and questioning his life. He knew that he needed to make a change.  Clint decided to travel across the United States where he met his future mentor. This mentor prayed over him and opened his eyes to a better life with Christ at the center. Clint then began to change the way he operated, his beliefs and the people he surrounded himself with.  Clint and Matt discuss the power of faith and mentorship, and how both can create life changing transformations for anyone. Clint is also a successful entrepreneur and brings a ton of value to the listener. He is currently training for a HYROX race so we also hit on the training and mental fortitude needed to succeed in that event.
