This week we have the pleasure of welcoming AKIVA to the roster, giving us a sultry selection of deep-end sounds, enjoy! -- Follow @akiva_official www.instagram.com/akiva.wav -- "The artist formerly known as The Kid Inside, AKIVA is a melodic house and techno producer/DJ/live act based in Los Angeles producing and curating music inspired by the progressive house scene of the early 2000s. Topping Beatport charts with music on U.K. underground labels Deepdowndirty and Gibbon Records and the progressive U.K. powerhouse, Pro B Tech Records. Resident on Saturo Sounds with a monthly radio and podcast series, and Identity Presents - the premier LA-based event curator, hosting and playing with Modus, Galestian, Cid Inc, Miyagi, and Dave Seaman. 2021 saw Akiva assume the role of A&R for the Saturo Sounds label imprint, releasing the "Sounds of Saturo, Vol. 2" compilation. Charting at #7 in the Melodic House and Techno, #4 in both Progressive and Organic House, #1 in Breaks, and number #4 Overall charts. Closing out the year with the #1 Progressive House release thereafter. Akiva started his journey through music with Jaco Pastorius. Welcome to Showcasing House Music DJ Mixes by dattrax!! Hello Fellow House Music Fanatics and Newcomers, welcome!! It's been the longest dry spell we've every had this past year for putting up our house mixes. Our apologies, however, we have not slowed down in buying more house tracks. We're junkies!! We've bought over 200 tracks in 5 separate batches from Traxsource and Beatport since the last mix was posted on our site. Been working on two mixes, which we believe you're going to LOVE. This mix, "Ritual Healing" has gone through probably at least eight versions >> each one had some parts that were really amazing and other parts that just sucked! It has been very frustrating, but accepted as part of our ritual of growing in love with new house tracks and only having a few hours a week these days. Most weekends, we listen to about 500+ tracks on Traxsource & Beatport in the late AMs. Jim, my best friend, DJ partner and fellow house fiend takes on tracks on Beatport and I take on Traxsource. So after about 2,000-2,500 tracks, I usually have about 90-130 tracks total in my virtual crate. Then over a few weekends, I'll dwindle that down to 30-40, then try to find a 15-20% discount code or sit on the crate till Traxsource emails a discount. Then buy, then listen to the tracks in traffic to and from my day job in Digital Marketing at a downtown Toronto agency. Then make a mix on a Sat. morning, shaking the whole house for hours (it's fantastic!!), and then listen to it for a few days. If it sucks, then it gets deleted and back to the drawing board we go the next Sat. It's such a healing ritual because I usually take all my life and work stress and pour it into each mix. In the process, hopefully putting mostly negative energy with some positive and transforming it into something beautiful. Sharing my favourite house tracks in the way that I want them to sound if I was dancing my ass off at a crystal clear and loud club sound system!! Now based in New Delhi, VridianMusic is the shared moniker of producers Vir Rattan Chowdhry and Sidhant Jain. The duo has been producing electronic dance music together, since the inception of their project last year. Associated with the various spectrums of house and techno, VridianMusic aspires to produce, what they like to call ‘emotive electronic music’. Their mix echoes a similar sentiment; with music from Allies For Everyone, Musumeci, and the two-man live-project Doyeq with who’s track, the mix opens. A smooth transition from minimal techno to IDM, finishing off with higher energy tracks from Rauschhaus & PHCK and, Affkt-Txuribeltz; this mix by VridianMusic is subliminal in the craft that is has been put together with. A: I think the tracks are showing really good why I’m doing a certain kind of electronic music today. When I started producing my own tracks in 2010 I was really into Progressive House (Deadmau5, Pryda, …). It’s funny that this genre-name disappeared some years from the scene cause it was somehow connected to EDM. Later on I was more focussed on groovy deep and Tech House. Now you find all of these elements in my tracks. A mixture between Progressive and dreamy Techno but always groovy. Q: When talking about Einmusika Recordings most of the people only see Einmusik behind. But one of the most important guys behind is you. Tell us about your job. A: When I first started working at Einmusika they we’re looking for someone who can help out two times a week to do some basic webdesign and photoshop. But I noticed really fast that there are many more things to do. So I grew with my tasks and learned a lot about how the music industry works. Now Einmusika has become my main job and I’m doing a big part of the daily business there. I’m really grateful to work with such a creative team. Q: Which Kempnich projects are coming soon? A: I recently released an EP on EIN2 together with Allies For Everyone from New York and I’m working on a new Einmusika EP which is coming out in the beginning of next year. I changed a lot in my studio so you will definitely here a big difference to my previous ones. Furthermore I worked out my live-set because I like to perform it soon at some selected venues.

It's been the longest dry spell we've every had this past year for putting up our house mixes. Our apologies, however, we have not slowed down in buying more house tracks. We're junkies!! We've bought over 200 tracks in 5 separate batches from Traxsource and Beatport since the last mix was posted on our site. Been working on two mixes, which we believe you're going to LOVE. This mix, "Ritual Healing" has gone through probably at least eight versions >> each one had some parts that were really amazing and other parts that just sucked! It has been very frustrating, but accepted as part of our ritual of growing in love with new house tracks and only having a few hours a week these days. Most weekends, we listen to about 500+ tracks on Traxsource & Beatport in the late AMs. Jim, my best friend, DJ partner and fellow house fiend takes on tracks on Beatport and I take on Traxsource. So after about 2,000-2,500 tracks, I usually have about 90-130 tracks total in my virtual crate. Then over a few weekends, I'll dwindle that down to 30-40, then try to find a 15-20% discount code or sit on the crate till Traxsource emails a discount. Then buy, then listen to the tracks in traffic to and from my day job in Digital Marketing at a downtown Toronto agency. Then make a mix on a Sat. morning, shaking the whole house for hours (it's fantastic!!), and then listen to it for a few days. If it sucks, then it gets deleted and back to the drawing board we go the next Sat. It's such a healing ritual because I usually take all my life and work stress and pour it into each mix. In the process, hopefully putting mostly negative energy with some positive and transforming it into something beautiful. Sharing my favourite house tracks in the way that I want them to sound if I was dancing my ass off at a crystal clear and loud club sound system!!
