1. Søndag efter Trinitatis prædikede Thomas Frovin over Lukasevangeliet 12, 13-21 og første læsning var fra Prædikerens Bog 5, 9-19 

Povod za tokratno temo je bilo vabilo Tehniškega muzeja Slovenije v Bistri pri Vrhniki na ogled kovanja v stari muzejski kovačnici pred dobrima dvema tednoma. Tam že kar nekaj let kovač iz Cerkelj na Gorenjskem Janez Globočnik obiskovalcem demonstrira kovanje na nakovalu. Ob tem je nastal pogovor v katerem sva govorila o tem vedno redkejšem poklicu, in o tem, zakaj poklica kovač ni več v naboru priznanih poklicev pri nas. Z Globočnikom nisva govorila o kovačih kot enih od predhodnikov knjige narave, torej spoznavanja lastnosti snovi, rude, za preoblikovanje v človeku koristne predmete. Je pa ta del nadomestil uvod v pogovor. V uvodu sem na kratko povzel izvor kovaštva in starodavne začetke človekovega spoznavanja z lastnostmi snovi. To se je pri ljudstvih, ki so izumila zgodovino zrcalilo tudi v njihovih mitologijah. Stari Grki, oziroma Heleni, kot se sami imenujejo še danes v svojem jeziku - njihova dežela je bila nekoč Helada, danes pa je »Eliniki dimokratia – grška republika« - Heleni so torej imeli Pantheon, skupek bogov, Olimpskih in starejših Titanskih bogov. Menda je bil najgrši in celo malce pohabljen, tako da je šepal, Hefajst, sin Zeusove žene Here, ki pa ga je po rojstvu zaradi iznakaženosti zavrgla in ga vrgla v morje. Po dnevih padanja (značilno pretiravanje) se je znašel nekje, kjer se je naučil taliti rude in kovati kovine. S tem znanjem se je tudi maščeval Heri tako, da je zanjo skoval zlati prestol, ki je sedečega priklenil. Cena za izpust Here, ki so jo moledujoči bogovi morali plačati Hefajstu , da jo izpustijo, je bila roka najlepše od lepih – Afrodite. Bog ognja, kovačev in obrtnikov Hefajst je z veščino razumevanja transformacije rude, torej snovi v bolj uporabno snov – kovino, pokazal vztrajnost tako kot jo je pokazal pri tem, da je zaradi nje dobil najlepšo žensko. Ki ga je sicer varala z bogom vojne Aresom, ampak se je tako kot materi, maščeval tudi Afroditi in njenemu ljubimcu. Ko sta bila v postelji pred vrhuncem je nanju vrgel mrežo, in na ogled golega ujetega para povabil vse bogove z Olimpa, ki so se ob tem menda celo zabavali. Ta zgodba pove veliko o naravi starogrških bogov, boginj in njihovih podobnikov in podobnic. Gre za personifikacije človekovih osebnostnih lastnosti in prikaze fenomenov narave – Pozejdon je bil npr. bog morja. No, kovaštvo je bila ena od prvih začetnih dejavnosti spoznavanja snovi. In tako nemara eden od začetnikov znanosti, ki se od vere razlikuje v preprostem dejstvu. V verski fenomen verjamemo brez dokaza o njegovem dejanskem obstoju, znanost pa z dogovorjenim pojmovnim aparatom in metodami potrebuje dokaz o obstoju neke lastnosti, procesa ali prehoda iz enega v drugo stanje, agregatno, bi rekli kemiki. Junija pred 180 leti je v naše kraje pripeljal prvi vlak. Slovesno in vzneseno so takrat pričakali novo dobo razvoja in napredka. Od Maribora do Celja je takrat lokomotiva potrebovala dve uri in petinštirideset minut. V tem času danes pride do Ljubljane, kaj dlje pa ne. Vlak je torej hitrejši, hiter pač ne. Visoke upe imajo številni ob nastopu nove vlade, po štirih letih prejšnje garniture končno vidijo luč upanja na koncu predora. Marsikateri pa medtem že opozarjajo, da so to luči bližajoče se nesreče. Ministrski ekipi, ki se je predstavila poslancem in javnosti, ne bo enostavno. Spomini velikega nemškega režiserja se berejo kot kak pustolovski roman, obenem pa postavljajo spomenik presežni lepoti in ekstatični resnici, ki se lahko razkrijeta samo na filmskem platnuVeliko ljudi se v poznih letih sicer loti pisanja svojih spominov, a se ob branju potem dovolj pogosto pokaže, da njihova življenja nemara le niso bila tako zanimiva, razgibana, napeta ali protislovna, da bi jih bilo po vsej sili treba popisati v knjigi. No, ta pomislek oziroma zadržek, ki se na načelni ravni lahko drži avtobiografskega pisanja, pa ne velja za Wernerja Herzoga, enega največjih živečih umetnikov na svetu, ki je svoje življenje leta 2022 popisal v knjigi Vsak zase in Bog proti vsem, knjigi, ki je pod založniškim okriljem Beletrine zdaj izšla tudi v slovenskem prevodu. Ob branju spominov danes 83-letnega nemškega režiserja, ki se je podpisal pod take filmske mojstrovine, kot so Aguirre, srd božji pa Fitzcarraldo ter Jama pozabljenih sanj, se namreč ni mogoče znebiti vtisa, da je véliki cineast vseskozi živel skrajno intenzivno, da, drugače rečeno, v svojem življenju ni vrgel stran niti enega samega dneva, niti ene same ure. Ko se je torej lotil pisanja spominov, Herzogu nikakor ni manjkalo snovi. A kako natanko je vse prigode, nezgode, zmagoslavja in poraze, ki jih je zabeležil na svoji razgibani življenjski poti, razgrnil pred očmi radovednih bralk in bralcev? – Odgovor smo iskali v tokratnem Sobotnem branju, ko smo pred mikrofonom gostili Anjo Naglič, ki je Herzogove spomine prevedla v slovenski jezik. Esri Ireland, the market leader in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), has announced that Waterways Ireland has developed an interactive digital map exploring the rich heritage of the Grand Canal. The map, titled A Boatman's Journey, brings the public on an immersive storytelling experience across Ireland, from Dublin's docks in the east to Shannon Harbour in the west. It was built using Esri's ArcGIS technology. Waterways Ireland is responsible for restoring, developing, and promoting over 1,100 kilometres of inland waterways across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The Grand Canal, completed in 1804, was a marvel of engineering and a crucial artery for trade and passengers. The interactive map charts a boatman's virtual journey along the 130-kilometre-long waterway, travelling on a barge which was designed specifically for the Grand Canal in 1925. Beginning at Dublin's bustling docklands, the boatman navigates a variety of locks, bridges, and aqueducts, as well as landmarks such as the Guinness Brewery. Leaving the urban landscape behind, the barge travels over the Bog of Allen, and through towns including Edenderry and Tullamore, before reaching its final destination of Shannon Harbour. Along the way, users can click on points to reveal information and links to fascinating historical documents, old photos, oral histories, amusing verbal anecdotes, 3D animations, and video clips relating specifically to each location. Presenting material mainly derived from the Waterways Ireland archive in an engaging format, the public can learn about how the canal was built, what life was like for workers on board the barges, and gain a new appreciation for the colourful history and vibrant present of the canal. It also helps people to develop stronger connections to the waterway in relation to their local communities and their own family histories. As well as a cultural voyage through history, A Boatman's Journey is also serving as an invaluable educational resource and Waterways Ireland has created lesson plans for teachers that link the map to the school curriculum. The map can continue to be expanded with new and additional content into the future and Waterways Ireland plans to develop further digital stories using Esri's ArcGIS technology relating to the other waterways it manages. Martina McCarthy, Heritage Officer, Waterways Ireland, said: "ArcGIS has undoubtedly enabled us to bring Ireland's Grand Canal heritage to a wider audience. People who might not otherwise engage with heritage information are really intrigued by the map and quickly become caught up in the narrative. It immerses citizens in what it was like to work on the canal a hundred years ago and, in particular, it is amazing to see how the story draws young people in and gives them a new appreciation of their local waterways." Jeg har skrevet en bog! Og det er vildt. I hvert fald for mig, fordi jeg har drømt om at blive forfatter i lang tid.Det er en bog om angst. Det er en selvhjælpsbog, en personlig fortælling og bog, der kaster et fagligt nuanceret blik på angst.Jeg har haft den tvivlsomme fornøjelse selv at kæmpe med intens angst. Det har lært mig utroligt meget og gjort mig i stand til at skrive en bog, der forhåbentlig kan bruges sådan ægte derude i virkeligheden og gøre en reel forskel for jer derude, der også kæmper med angst (som jeg føler, jeg er i en slags familie med). Så - tillad mig at introducere min nye bog: "Fri af angst, mod på livet - 6 beroligende strategier" som udkommer d. 18. juni på Lindhardt og Ringhof, og som kan forudbestilles nu i din nærmeste lokale boghandel elle f.eks. på Lindhardt & Ringhof, Saxo eller Bog&idé - eller hvor du nu køber bøger. Piše Silvija Žnidar, bere Eva Longyka Marušič Pisave pisateljice Eve Mahkovic, tudi dramaturginje in dramatičarke, se že od začetka njenega literarnega ustvarjanja drži oznaka avtofikcija, o kateri je zadnje čase, sploh na naših tleh, veliko govora, nemalo se je tudi piše. A pri Evi Mahkovic lahko vselej računamo na to, da nas bo z vsako novo knjižno izdajo presenetila z novo slogovno pa tudi vsebinsko prizmo formiranja avtofikcije, na podlagi česar se nam zdi, da vselej vpademo v malce drugačno sfero piske, ki razpreda o svojih interierjih in eksterierjih. S knjigo na tak dan najbolj trpi mastercard je ustvarila svojevrstne facebookovske dnevniške zapise, skorajda v poetično-aforistični maniri s pridihom takšne drugačne ironije in sarkazma, s TOXICom pa nas je potegnila v divji svet avtofikcijskega romanesknega hibrida, sestavljenega iz različnih manierizmov, oblik pisave. Potem imamo še Vinjete straholjubca, ki niso avtofikcijske, ampak delo fascinantne domišljije z afiniteto do nadrealistične groteske, ki se lahko postavi ob bok pisateljicam, kot so Dorothea Tanning, Leonora Carrington in Leonor Fini. V samem začetku Pogovorov z Bogom avtorica zapiše: »Ko sem napisala: Oseba je lahko toliko stvari hkrati, sem se zlagala. Jaz seveda ne bi mogla biti nič drugega kot Eva Mahkovic«. A deluje, kot da se avtorska oseba zaveda, da je vsak jaz performativen, nenehno podrejen transformacijam, maskiranju, re-invencijam; že samo spominjanje nekega preteklega jaza je posredna, olepšana ali pomanjkljiva naracija – ravno zato je Eva Mahkovic kot avtorica izjemo intrigantna, saj nas k temu, kar naj bi bili njeno sebstvo in percepcija materialnosti, v katerega je le to položeno, pripušča skozi različne jezikovne formacije, refleksije. Ne prepričuje nas v avtentičnost, ki je v naši post-»tisto in ono« že tako ali tako iztrošen in pomanjkljiv pojem, temveč računa na afektivnost, moč izraznosti v pisavi. Mnogo bralstva, najsibo strokovnega ali »občega«, ji je očitalo ravno pomanjkanje pristnosti, univerzalnosti. A kar avtorica vedno znova dokaže, je, da nobena bolečina, izkustvo ni univerzalno, ampak sta bridko lastna, in da ju bralstvu najbolje približamo ravno s pravšnjim razmerjem ranljivosti in moči govorice, in to dokazuje piska tudi v zadnjem delu. Kako bi torej opredelili delo Pogovori z Bogom? Lahko bi si sposodili romantični, Schleglov termin univerzalne progresivne poezije, ki leporečno govori o hibridni književnosti, vsebujoči razne zvrsti, od poezije, proze, drame do kritike, filozofije, avtorefleksije, z vsemi možnimi stilskimi prijemi. V osnovi tako lahko rečemo, da gre za avtofikcijske zapise o osebni tragediji v času napovedujočih se podnebnih kriz, ki se ne držijo linearne narativne linije, temveč so polni digresij, stranskih refleksij, nizanja popkulturnih, zgodovinskih in umetniških referenc, mešanj »visokega in nizkega« tako v registrih vsebine kot stila; intertekstualnih paralel, izmed katerih najbolj izstopa Kleistova drama Katica iz Heilbronna, ki zaradi momenta požara oziroma preizkusa z ognjem postane pomemben interpretacijski ključ. Pogovori z Bogom so nekakšno hibridno telo raznovrstnih tekstov, ki bi jim lahko nadeli različna imena: dnevniški zapisi, samorefleksije, vrtinci seznamov, alineje strahu, narativne razglednice, dialogi s popkulturnimi fenomeni, sekularne alegorije, vizije posvetne mističarke itd. Vsekakor pestro branje, ki pa sicer ne deluje tako naostreno in intenzivno kot pri TOXICu. Specifična kaotičnost notranjosti in zunanjosti, ki sta vselej v prepustnem prepletu, se odvijata počasneje, mehkeje, z več melanholične ranljivosti. Kljub različnim stranpotem, fragmentiranosti ali »slepim rokavom« teksta se celota bere gladko, sledimo jasnemu dramaturškemu loku, z »vrhuncem« v družinski tragediji, ki nato avtorico popelje do novih razmislekov o sebi in svojih odnosih do raznih fenomenov, ljudi in stvari. Kot namiguje že naslov knjige, gre v tem hibridnem romanu za nagovor Boga, ki pa je bolj kot dogmatičen svetopisemski Bog bitje različnih pojavnosti, kar pač trenutno »molivka« rabi od presežne entitete. Knjiga je nekakšen retoričen aparat artikulacije notranjosti. Bog je kot nekakšen dnevnik, h kateremu se obračamo v času lastne akutne krize, samote, da objasnimo sebe, predamo svoja čustva višji sili, za katero vemo, da verjetno ne bo urgirala, ampak nam že sama konfesija ponuja jasnejšo sliko, če ne ravno striktnih odgovorov in rešitev. Eva Mahkovic si je knjigo sicer zamislila v obliki strukture krščanske maše, vendar je, kot bralstvo kmalu opazi, to mišljeno precej ohlapno oziroma, kot »priznava« piska, prilagojeno njenim predstavam. Zanimivo bi bilo sicer gledati na roman kot na izpoved moderne, sekularne mučenice, mističarke na ozadju potrošništva in podnebne apokalipse. Torej ženske, ki trpi zaradi družinske tragedije, ki jo globoko, duhovno transformira, hkrati pa jo žrejo tegobe nelagodja v telesu, ki se zdi tuje, necelovito, fragmentarno, kot je zrcalno razdrobljena celotna pripoved, v telesu, podrejenemu počasnemu propadanju, stigmatiziranemu z neizprosnimi znaki staranja. Dodatno komponento trpljenja povzroča neznosno stanje vročičnega okolja, zapisanega apokalipsi, ki jo napovedujejo podnebne spremembe, zaradi česar se nekateri avtoričini uvidi zdijo kot vizije gorečega sveta, materije. Če beremo študije preučevalk misticizma, mučenic, svetnic in religioznih zadev, kot so Marina Warner, Amy Hollywood in Rachel J. D. Smith, izvemo, da telo pri mističarkah in mučenicah ni bilo nasprotje duha, temveč njegov medij, proizvajalec pomena skozi bolečino, primarno prizorišče religijskega izkustva. Melanholija, ki večinoma spremlja takšna mistična, mučeniška stanja, pa ni zgolj razpoloženje, temveč epistemološko stanje, generator vednosti, kot na primer že od Roberta Burtona in Dürerja naprej. Pisateljici različne preizkušnje, tragedije in telesna nelagodja omogočajo pogled v neko širšo vednost o sebstvu pa tudi o stanju okolja in o poziciji ženskega spola in telesa v družbi, pri čemer pa knjiga ne vztraja pri tem, da ima končne, totalne odgovore, raje vztraja v odprtosti. Piska seveda mitov ženske telesnosti ne utrjuje, temveč jih s tem, ko jim tudi občasno podlega, učinkovito secira, analizira, subvertira. Takšno branje se zdi privlačno, čeprav bi bilo morda enostavneje reči, da gre za nekakšno potencirano, časovno večsmerno elegijo: avtorica v raznih manirah žaluje za ranami, ki jih zada trenutna nesreča ali pa so jih zadali drugi pretekli dogodki, hkrati pa že vnaprej piše žalostinko za izginjajočim svetom. Za upodabljanje tega sveta, kot stkanega iz vročične nočne more, uporablja konkretne, efektivne, neposredne, neolepšane opise, morbidno razpoloženje stopnjuje z motivi in podobami mrtvih živalic, ki skupaj z drugimi izvirnimi prispodobami prerastejo v čudovito metaforično mrežo znamenj nasilja, strahu in smrti. Skozi celotno knjigo je vzdušje primerno vročično, skorajda halucinatorno, somnambulno, kot pri Katici iz Heilbronna, avtorica gradi na primerni paleti barv, ki poudarja katastrofo ognja in njegovih pomenskih sledov. Na vse skupaj bi lahko prišili tudi termin morbidne fascinacije nad stanji nesreče in raznimi smrtmi, a če ta idiom naznanja nekakšno vznemirjenje, radovednost nad takšnim stanjem stvari, pa pri Evi Mahkovic pomeni tudi nekakšno globljo povezanost z žalobnim podtokom celotnega življa. Čeprav vročičen svet na začetku in koncu knjige teži k nekemu kaosu, entropiji, kar je tudi čudovito barvno uprizorjeno, piska vselej ohranja »drobce božjega v svetu« vročine, nekakšno milost, lepoto, možnost celjenja. Pogovori z Bogom so fascinantni in čudoviti zaradi notranjih napetosti in kontradikcij: zaradi nekakšne baročnosti vsebine, neštetih seznamov tega in onega, mrgolečih asociacij, hkrati pa melanholičnosti uprizoritve le tega. Zaradi neumornega zanimanja za telesno, ki pa je vselej že prizorišče bistrega »duha«. Zaradi neskončne žalosti, ki jo generirajo različne tragedije, hkrati pa zaradi sijajno svetlečih se drobcev, ki toliko nežneje pobožajo v temini.

Bi bilo upanje, da večnost krivico poravna!?

Piše Marija Švajncer, bereta Maja Moll in Dejan Kaloper. Knjiga filozofa Milosava Gudovića Jež in polž, Hermenevtična basen skrivnosti je resno strokovno delo z vsem zahtevanim znanstvenim aparatom – od seznama literature do stvarnega in imenskega kazala ter povzetka v dveh jezikih. Recenzenta sta bila Brane Senegačnik in Luka Trebežnik, spremno besedo je napisal Alen Širca. Avtor interpretira stališča francoskega filozofa judovskega rodu Jacquesa Derridaja in nemškega filozofa Maxa Schelerja. Derrida se je v zgodovino filozofije zapisal kot pobudnik destruktivizma, Scheler pa je bil personalistični fenomenolog. Gudović z vidika hermenevtike natančno in zbrano bere nekatera njuna dela in temeljito razlaga pojmovanje poezije, se pravi Derridajevo sklicevanje na ježa in Schelerjevo na polža. V slikovitem, vendar vsebinsko in formalno doslednem pisanju je kar nekaj paradoksov, provokacij in obratov in opozoril, da ne vidimo prav – v resnici je drugače, kot se nekaj kaže navzven. Podobno pišejo slovenski lacanovci, pa tudi v filozofemih drugih strukturalistov, zlasti teoretskih psihoanalitikov, je bilo kar precej tovrstne svobode. Gudovićevo pozornost je vzbudil Derridajev kratki esej Kaj je poezija? iz leta 1988. V njem je dekonstruktivist zagotavljal, da se o pesništvu na področju filozofske razlage lahko govori le s šiframi in metaforičnostjo ter spodkopavanjem metafizične misli in njenega esencializma. Po temeljnem načelu dekonstrukcije je za vse igre pisanja značilna arbitrarnost, vsaka interpretacija je nova preizkušnja svobode. Arbitrarnost se izkazuje v samolastnosti odločitve. Odgovor na to Kaj je poezija? sledi logiki izvorne poíesis, ki presega meje jezikovne umetnosti. V teoretskem govoru o pesništvu izgine tisto, kar poezija je in kako se nam razkriva. Dekonstruktivno mišljenje, zgoščeno v sluteči odgovor, ne nadomešča literarne besede, ampak se prepoznava v zrcalu pesniškega. Derrida igro interpretacije enači z diktatom. Poezija govori sama, izgovarja samo sebe in odgovarja zase. Gudović poudarja, da se Derridajev nauk odpoveduje učenosti in védenju, izenačenim z znanjem. Dekonstruktivist je umetnik paradoksa, vseeno pa je poezija povezana z dolžnostjo sporočljivosti. Sporočanje brez naslovnika je nesmiselno. Poezija sama odgovarja na vprašanje o lastnem bistvu, in sicer tako, da pride v neskritost in kulturno orbito. Odgovarja zase in nase. /…/ Pesništvo je samo svoja privatna skrivnost. Milosav Gudović pomisli, da nas interpretacija Derridajeve negativne poetike pripelje do odločilne točke v njegovem zapletenem in metaforičnem odgovoru ter opuščanju institucionalnega pojmovanja poezije. Derridajev esej Kaj je poezija? je pravzaprav po naravi negativna in apofatična basen, v kateri je glavni junak jež, vržen na pot metaforizacije in apofatike. Apofatika pomeni zanikanje oziroma opisovanje tega, kar nekaj ni, namesto tega, kar je, in neposrednega opisovanja. Podoba ježa je vpeta v svobodno igro s filozofskim izročilom. Derrida z metaforo ogrožene živali skuša opisati lastno neprijetno razpoloženje in pokazati, da pravzaprav ne najde popolnega odgovora. Metafora po njegovem mnenju ni značilna samo za poezijo, temveč tudi za filozofijo kot metafiziko. Bivanje v metafori je podobno bivanju v svetu – v njem se vselej že nahajamo in ga razumemo. Prispodoba ježa je pisateljska domislica, ki namiguje na to, da je pesniška pisava vselej izvzeta iz vsakdanjega jezika. Običajna in vladajoča filozofska gramatika je ne moreta razvozlati. Gudović ugotavlja, da se Derrida bliža pesmi s tem, da se odreče interpretaciji. Njegova dekonstruktivna in negativna poetika je brez vednosti in onstran vednosti. Derrida nikoli ni skrival tega, da je bil pod močnim Heideggerjevim vplivom. Nenavadno pa je, da je pesem umestil v srce in svetoval, naj se je naučimo na pamet. Gudović se poglablja tudi v personalistično fenomenologijo Maxa Schelerja, zlasti v njegovo pojmovanje reda ljubezni, latinsko ordo amoris. Po Schelerjevem mnenju je največji dosežek, da človek stvari ljubi tako kot Bog. Zamisli se nad polžem in njegovo hišico. Polževa hišica je torej metafora počasnega gibanja celotne paradigme, na kateri temelji resnično samozrenje osebnosti. Človek nikoli ne zmore – naj se še tako trudi – odvreči vrednostnega bremena. Človek je v marsičem, zlasti v elementih skrivnostnosti, podoben polžu, seveda pa je tudi meta(ontološko) privilegiran in poklican k transcendiranju svetnih danosti. Gudović se na koncu vpraša, kaj naj bi pri vsem tem, kar je predstavil, počela interpret kot nemi opazovalec ali zapisovalec in tolmač. Morda ima v mislih samega sebe. Na hitro bi zapisal, kaj je videl in slišal, kar se mu je zazdelo, kajti takšen splet dogodkov in idej – o tem ne bi niti za hip podvomil – je poseben provokativen fenomen. /…/ Tolmač je ves čas v zadregi in nevarnosti, da tudi njegovo kratko delo o zgoščenem delu ostane zapleteno, nedokončano. Pisec spremne besede, literarni teoretik Alen Širca, se sprašuje, ali dobrega pisca in umetnika nasploh ne spoznamo prav po dobrih metaforah, primerjavah, alegorijah, simbolih, prilikah in parabolah. Na njegovo vprašanje je mogoče odgovoriti, da smo vse to lahko prebrali v knjigi Jež in polž Milosava Gudovića. Njegovo filozofiranje res zahteva precej zbranosti, vendar je tako izzivalno in poglobljeno, da ga tisti, ki še vedno ljubimo filozofijo, tako kot jež ali polž, pravzaprav kot njuni samici, z zanimanjem in veseljem vzamemo v roke in za nekaj časa pozabimo na razburkano dogajanje okrog sebe.

I had set out toward Lambrick Park to close out my “Revisit Trilogy,” beginning my first windy lap with the goal of staying in zone two. I reflected on the previous runs—King's Pond and Rithet's Bog—along with a tough experiment in zone one the day before, which made this effort feel more balanced. Over five steady laps, I shared the quiet rhythm of the park, brief encounters with fellow runners and plenty of dogs, all while keeping a consistent pace. I noted how the run fit into my broader weekly training, managing effort, calories, and recovery to stay on track. I wrapped up the session on my final lap, looking ahead to upcoming adventures and signing off from Lambrick Park on April Fool's Day.
