On the 36th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review one the most influential album of the 1990's, the self-titled debut album by Rage Against The Machine. Led by frontman Zack de la Rocha, guitar legend Tom Morello, bassist extraordinaire, Tim Commerford and hard hitting drummer, Brad Wilk, Rage Against The Machine, combined Metal, Rap, funk and punk with intense political lyrics. Their debut album featured ten hard hitting angst filled songs that spoke to a lot of the issues plaguing society. Racism, police brutality, imperialism and more were met with ferocious intensity of del la Rocha's delivery and the heaviness of the band's pulsating music created an excitement that took the 1990's by storm. The debut album went on to go triple platinum and set the band up as a must see band live. Their live performances, including Woodstock 99! have become legendary. Their lyrics, Tom Morello's guitar sound and more made Rage Against The Machine one of the best bands of the 1990's. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous 34 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was Tom's pick and continues our trend of bands that make you think, like R.E.M. and Rush before this. On the 36th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review one the most influential album of the 1990's, the self-titled debut album by Rage Against The Machine. Led by frontman Zack de la Rocha, guitar legend Tom Morello, bassist extraordinaire, Tim Commerford and hard hitting drummer, Brad Wilk, Rage Against The Machine, combined Metal, Rap, funk and punk with intense political lyrics. Their debut album featured ten hard hitting angst filled songs that spoke to a lot of the issues plaguing society. Racism, police brutality, imperialism and more were met with ferocious intensity of del la Rocha's delivery and the heaviness of the band's pulsating music created an excitement that took the 1990's by storm. The debut album went on to go triple platinum and set the band up as a must see band live. Their live performances, including Woodstock 99! have become legendary. Their lyrics, Tom Morello's guitar sound and more made Rage Against The Machine one of the best bands of the 1990's. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs.
