Baya Voce opens up about the hidden cost of living in a world that promises everything without friction while our relationships demand the exact opposite. She shares the counterintuitive truth that bending over backwards in relationships isn't love, it's self-abandonment, and explains why most couples fail not because they fight, but because they never learned to repair properly. Through raw personal stories and research-backed frameworks, Baya breaks down the difference between accepting someone's limitations and enabling their dysfunction. This conversation will shift how you think about conflict forever, giving you practical tools to turn your messiest relationship moments into opportunities for genuine intimacy and growth.Sign up for Baya's newsletterFollow Baya on InstagramIn this episode you will:Discover why your nervous system needs friction to build resilience and how avoiding small conflicts actually creates bigger ones laterTransform your relationship arguments using the repair framework that stops the blame cycle before it spiralsLearn the critical difference between change and effort in partnerships and why confusing them keeps you stuck in resentmentBreak free from the cultural myth that bending over backwards equals love and start setting boundaries without guiltMaster the art of staying present during emotional reactions instead of running away or people-pleasing your way through conflictFor more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1839For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960More SOG episodes we think you'll love:Baya Voce pt. 1 – greatness.lnk.to/1836SCMatthew Hussey – greatness.lnk.to/1782SCLiz Gilbert – greatness.lnk.to/1681SC Get more from Lewis! She's spent years guiding couples through what might be the hardest truth in any relationship: sometimes the person you love isn't going to change, no matter how many therapy sessions you attend or heartfelt conversations you have. And that realization, that moment of disillusionment, feels like the end. But here's what most people miss: it's actually the beginning of something real. Baya walks through the painful but necessary process of grieving the relationship you thought you'd have so you can finally see the one you're actually in. She talks about how the healthiest long-term relationships die and are reborn over and over, each version requiring you to let go of what came before. What makes this conversation so powerful is how Baya dismantles the toxic cycle of the "power struggle". That exhausting pattern where you keep trying to change your partner, hoping this time will be different. Lewis opens up about his own experience, sharing how his relationship with Martha has already transformed multiple times, especially now with twins on the way. You'll learn why accepting your relationship "as is" doesn't mean settling, it means finally getting clear on whether you can actually build a life here or if it's time to walk away. This isn't about fixing your relationship. It's about getting brutally honest about what's really there.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Relationship expert Baya Voce reveals why the fairy tale version of love is setting us up for failure—and what actually creates lasting intimacy. She shares her personal journey from serial people-pleasing to building genuine connection, including the painful lesson of being engaged to someone who fabricated his entire identity. Most people never exit the "power struggle" phase of relationships because they've never learned the one skill that matters most: how to repair after conflict. Baya explains why therapy at the beginning of a relationship changes everything, how your nervous system—not your personality—determines who you attract, and why the ability to sit in emotional discomfort is more valuable than chemistry. You'll walk away understanding that love isn't about finding someone perfect—it's about two imperfect people learning to heal together.Sign up for Baya's newsletterFollow Baya on InstagramIn this episode you will:Discover why conflict is required for intimacy – Not optional, not avoidable, but essential for moving beyond surface connection into true partnership and interdependenceMaster the art of emotional regulation – Learn why this single skill, according to neuroscientists, determines your success in every relationship more than communication or compatibilityTransform your nervous system response – Understand how your physiological health—thyroid, cortisol, sleep—directly impacts your ability to stay calm during disagreementsBreak free from the change-accept paradox – Stop trying to fix your partner or change yourself to please them, and learn the framework for healthy boundaries that create mutual respectLearn to repair instead of run – Access the exact framework (truth, agreement, responsibility) for having difficult conversations that strengthen rather than damage your connectionFor more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1836For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960More SOG episodes we think you'll love:Esther Perel – greatness.lnk.to/1686SCMartha Higareda Howes – greatness.lnk.to/1788SCJillian Turecki – greatness.lnk.to/1740SC Get more from Lewis! O ikisini diyorum. 1- Emin: [1:57] Evet. Peki o zaman gezinin başından başlayalım. İlk gittiğin yer Karabük'tü herhâlde. What if the biggest challenge in AI isn't how fast chips can compute, but how quickly data can move? In this episode of Eye on AI, Nandan Nayampally, Chief Commercial Officer at Baya Systems, shares how the next era of computing is being shaped by smarter architecture, not just raw processing power. With experience leading teams at ARM, Amazon Alexa, and BrainChip, Nandan brings a rare perspective on how modern chip design is evolving. We dive into the world of chiplets, network-on-chip (NoC) technology, silicon photonics, and neuromorphic computing. Nandan explains why the traditional path of scaling transistors is no longer enough, and how Baya Systems is solving the real bottlenecks in AI hardware through efficient data movement and modular design. From punch cards to AGI, this conversation maps the full arc of computing innovation. If you want to understand how to build hardware for the future of AI, this episode is a must-listen. Rohan Chakravarty is a Cartoonist, illustrator, and wildlife buff. Creator of Green Humour, the comic strip. He is an author and illustrator known for his work in bridging art and science, particularly in the field of bird behavior. His book, “Bird Business,” focuses on showcasing the quirks, antics, and daily lives of 100 Indian birds, offering insights into their unique behaviors. How does a cartoonist and illustrator think about birds? Can you walk us through the process of creating this book. How did you choose the birds that feature in your book? You are clearly interested in bird behaviour. You say, for instance, that the Lammergier- bearded vulture, takes 7 years to master its bone-throwing skill. These are very specific facts. How did you learn all this and how did you choose what to throw in. Rewrites? Anita's intervention? For those who haven't read your book, can you mention some of the fascinating bird behaviors that you have come across? Have you seen all the species in this book? Bar tailed treecreeper? Why do nuthatches move/spiral downwards while the treecreeper spirals upwards, do you know? Baya nesting colonies are usually built close to water bodies to reduce risk of predation by snakes— but aren't there water snakes? Do snakes not climb up trees? Why does the brown fish owl wade instead of doing the traditional thing that owls do? Bar-headed geese (raising the bar). How do you come up with puns? Zach sits down with Baya Voce and Emmy Bush to talk about falling in love hard and fast, hitting a wall after the wedding, and what it takes to rebuild a relationship rooted in honesty, health, and play. The couple, known for their wildly creative wedding (think Burning Man meets RuPaul meets adult summer camp), dive deep into what really happened once the party ended. They speak candidly about the emotional fallout after getting married, the surprising way attachment systems get triggered by commitment, and how chronic health issues nearly broke them. What followed was not a breakup—but a rebuilding. One that required therapy, nervous system repair, personal accountability, and a whole lot of humor. Baya and Emmy don't just offer advice—they embody a kind of radical relational creativity. You'll hear about their cake competitions, their “Spock Mind Meld” reconnection rituals, and their profound respect for giving each other freedom inside commitment. Key Takeaways Commitment Triggers the Nervous SystemGetting married activated their attachment systems in a new way, challenging their sense of freedom and safety. This is a common but under-discussed phenomenon in newlyweds. Health Impacts ConflictPost-wedding, Emmy's health deteriorated due to mold toxicity, and Baya's stress response was in overdrive. Their physical states made emotional regulation nearly impossible, leading to what they called “nothing burgers” turning into huge fights. Processing Isn't Always the AnswerDespite being a therapist and being in therapy, they realized their go-to relationship tools (like deep processing) weren't what the relationship needed. What it needed was play, softness, and space. Staying = GrowingThey describe “packing their bags but never leaving,” demonstrating that staying through the hard parts gave them the space to evolve as individuals and as a couple. The Relationship Is Its Own EntityInspired by their mentor, Baya describes how the relationship has its own needs, separate from individual preferences. Honoring those needs became the key to rebuilding trust and connection. Guest Socials https://www.instagram.com/baya_voce/ Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On this week's episode, Laura and Kevin sit down with Nandan Nayampally, the Chief Commercial Officer at Baya, to discuss the shifting landscape of intelligent computing and the hidden challenges behind AI innovation.Nandan kicks things off by demystifying what Baya actually does, solving the critical problem of data movement, a growing bottleneck that traditional compute-focused architectures can't keep up with. With a rich background that includes scaling Arm's processor business from $200M to billions and playing key roles at AMD, Amazon (Alexa), and neuromorphic AI startups like Brainchip and Tenstorrent, Nandan offers a unique perspective on where hardware truly sits at the heart of today's AI revolution. He unpacks one of the most misunderstood aspects of AI development: while flashy models grab the headlines, it's the hardware, and even more critically, how data flows across chips, that will define the next generation of intelligent systems. As he explains, we're moving from a compute problem to a data movement problem, and Baya is right at the center of that inflection point. Laura and Kevin also get Nandan's expert map of the chip landscape, from Nvidia's dominant position to Intel, Arm, AWS, and where Baya fits in. Spoiler alert: Baya isn't trying to out-muscle the big players but to fundamentally enhance and rethink architectures for a world driven by AI at scale.Nandan also talks about the next big frontier as a hybrid between cloud and edge AI, with massive commercial opportunities tied to how efficiently and securely we can process data wherever it's generated. He offers a thoughtful, non-political perspective on how escalating tariffs on Chinese goods could impact the semiconductor supply chain, AI innovation, and global data privacy. Along the way, the conversation touches on chiplets, SoC (system-on-chip) trends, and, what he really thinks about Nvidia. If you care about the future of AI, semiconductors, or where the real innovation is happening behind the scenes, this is a must-listen episode.Nandan Nayampally is the Chief Commercial Officer at Baya that runs ProductManagement, Marketing Communication, Business Development, Sales and Strategic Alliances. Nandan has consistently been passionate about disruptive technologies and being in the eye of the storm in semiconductor inflection points. While he's had various start up stints in neuromorphic AI at Brain chip, Tenstorrent and Denali Software, a major part of Nandan's career involved growing Arm's processor business from $200M to into the $billions, and expanding its reach from the mobile and consumer markets to automotive, networking infrastructure, data center and AI. During his time, Arm's customers shipped more than a 150B process-based chips. He also had meaningful stints at AMD and Amazon on scaling Alexa into 3rd party devices.

Click here to send me a quick message :) Over the course of the past couple hundred years, we've been progressively losing our intact communities. Instead of extended family and village style lives, most of us in the western industrialized world exist in nuclear family structures. Some of that independence has been welcome; but there is also a tremendous loss of community care and support. There is perhaps nowhere this loss is more palpable than in the childbearing years. Which is what Shakila Marando has felt compelled to address with her doula care collective, Doulas by the Bay.She started with a personal practice as a doula but the demand for her services surpassed her capacity, so she began expanding, and over time has now built up her community care model to 60 doulas and counting. And they're expanding from the San Francisco Bay Area down to Southern California now, always recruiting new doulas and offering more education and support for families in those communities. I also loved hearing about her passion for perinatal mood support, and the role doulas can play in the rollercoaster of emotions that shows up postpartum.Listen to learn:Shakila's personal journey from becoming a new mother to becoming a doulathe origin story of Doulas by the Baya little on how this kind of doula community care model works what a doula is and is nothow doulas can play a role in perinatal mood supportwhat to consider when choosing a doulaResources:Today's shownotes: Get Shakila's links!Episode 25: Immediate postpartum care the herbal way w Liz PhilbrickEpisode 85: Acupressure for childbearing years with Sarah TewheyEpisode 136: The Herbal Doula with Marie WhiteEpisode 166: Your postpartum body w Courtney Naliboff + Dr Ruth MacyIf you loved this episode, share it with a friend, or take a screenshot and share on social media and tag me @herbalwombwisdomAnd if you love this podcast, leave a rating & write a review! In this Com d'Archi, through the voice of Esther, discover the festival ‘Utopies Constructives' (Constructive Utopias) and its realisation: a thirteen meters long wicker footbridge. This footbridge was realised with the collective ‘Construire l'Architecture' (Constructing Architecture).Founded in 2019 by Marc Hymans, Geoffrey Clamour, Priscillia Jorge and Camille Sineau from ‘BETA' (Bureau for Experimental Architecture) and Benjamin Marolleau from the cultural center ‘La Teinturerie', the festival is dedicated to innovation and research in architecture and construction. It takes place in Richelieu, the city named after Cardinal Richelieu who had it built on the model of the ideal city. Thus, the wicker footbridge project not only aims to embody the researches on resource preservation and new building techniques but also to reopen this historic site to its inhabitants. The bridge will be raised over the Mable canal in the park Richelieu, offering new paths into the garden. Its design combines traditional basketry techniques with new technology since its weaving was calculated with the BAYA algorithm. There's only one thing he can do now: to save himself, his ex-wife, and his daughter, he must make this mission his life, hunting down the target on his own. But Mason isn't alone in his search, because for Interpol agent Martin Sauvage, apprehending Baya has become a personal vendetta. Sauvage is a man just as haunted as Mason. And just as determined. Never have the stakes been so high, the forces surrounding him so great. Sauvage wants Baya in prison. Mason needs him in a body bag. Assassin and cop are on a five-thousand-mile collision course, leading to a brutal final showdown--and the one man in the world who can finally show Nick Mason the way to freedom. Zineb Sedira talks to Ben Luke about her influences—from writers to musicians, film-makers and, of course, other artists—and the cultural experiences that have shaped her life and work. Sedira, born in Paris in 1963 to Algerian parents and based in London since 1986, uses film, photography, installation, sculpture and other media to reflect on memory, from the personal to the collective and historical. She explores representation, language and family, intimately informed by her French, Algerian and British identity. By mining her singular autobiography and its connection with colonial histories and their contemporary legacies, Sedira has created a body of work that is at once politically nuanced, emotionally complex and visually rich. She discusses her early interest in Mary Kelly, her enduring engagement with the art of JMW Turner, and her admiration for the Algerian painter Baya. She reflects on her fascination with the Pan-African Festival in Algiers in 1969, the subject of a body of work. And she talks about her love of jazz and ska, the influence of postcolonial writers, among much else. Plus, she gives insight into her studio life and answers our usual questions, including the ultimate: “what is art for?”Zineb Sedira: Dreams Have No Titles, Whitechapel Gallery, London, 15 February-12 May; the film version of the work is on display at Tate Britain until September 2024; Dreams Have No Titles, Cultural Foundation, Abu Dhabi , UAE, 3 October-28 January 2025; Let's go on singing!, Goodman Gallery, London, until 16 March; Standing Here Wondering Which Way to Go, Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, Lisbon, Portugal, 19 June 2025-22 September 2025.
