Nahum 2-3 (NASB) Chapter 21 The one who scatters has come up against you. Man the fortress, watch the road; Strengthen your back, summon all your strength. 2 For the Lord will restore the splendor of Jacob Like the splendor of Israel, Even though devastators have devastated them And destroyed their vine branches. 3 The shields of his mighty men are colored red, The warriors are dressed in scarlet, The chariots are enveloped in flashing steel When he is prepared to march, And the cypress spears are brandished. 4 The chariots race madly in the streets, They rush wildly in the squares, Their appearance is like torches, They dash to and fro like lightning flashes. 5 He remembers his nobles; They stumble in their march, They hurry to her wall, And the mantelet is set up. 6 The gates of the rivers are opened And the palace is dissolved. 7 It is fixed: She is stripped, she is carried away, And her handmaids are moaning like the sound of doves, Beating on their breasts. 8 Though Nineveh was like a pool of water throughout her days, Now they are fleeing; "Stop, stop," But no one turns back. 9 Plunder the silver! Plunder the gold! For there is no limit to the treasure-- Wealth from every kind of desirable object. 10 She is emptied! Yes, she is desolate and waste! Hearts are melting and knees knocking! Also anguish is in the whole body And all their faces are grown pale! 11 Where is the den of the lions And the feeding place of the young lions, Where the lion, lioness and lion's cub prowled, With nothing to disturb them? 12 The lion tore enough for his cubs, Killed enough for his lionesses, And filled his lairs with prey And his dens with torn flesh. 13 "Behold, I am against you," declares the Lord of hosts. "I will burn up her chariots in smoke, a sword will devour your young lions; I will cut off your prey from the land, and no longer will the voice of your messengers be heard." Chapter 31 Woe to the bloody city, completely full of lies and pillage; Her prey never departs. 2 The noise of the whip, The noise of the rattling of the wheel, Galloping horses And bounding chariots! 3 Horsemen charging, Swords flashing, spears gleaming, Many slain, a mass of corpses, And countless dead bodies-- They stumble over the dead bodies! 4 All because of the many harlotries of the harlot, The charming one, the mistress of sorceries, Who sells nations by her harlotries And families by her sorceries. 5 "Behold, I am against you," declares the Lord of hosts; "And I will lift up your skirts over your face, And show to the nations your nakedness And to the kingdoms your disgrace. 6 "I will throw filth on you And make you vile, And set you up as a spectacle. 7 "And it will come about that all who see you Will shrink from you and say, 'Nineveh is devastated! Who will grieve for her?' Where will I seek comforters for you?" 8 Are you better than No-amon, Which was situated by the waters of the Nile, With water surrounding her, Whose rampart was the sea, Whose wall consisted of the sea? 9 Ethiopia was her might, And Egypt too, without limits. Put and Lubim were among her helpers. 10 Yet she became an exile, She went into captivity; Also her small children were dashed to pieces At the head of every street; They cast lots for her honorable men, And all her great men were bound with fetters. 11 You too will become drunk, You will be hidden. You too will search for a refuge from the enemy. 12 All your fortifications are fig trees with ripe fruit-- When shaken, they fall into the eater's mouth. 13 Behold, your people are women in your midst! The gates of your land are opened wide to your enemies; Fire consumes your gate bars. 14 Draw for yourself water for the siege! Strengthen your fortifications! Go into the clay and tread the mortar! Take hold of the brick mold! 15 There fire will consume you, The sword will cut you down; It will consume you as the locust does. Multiply yourself like the creeping locust, Multiply yourself like the swarming locust.

fWotD Episode 2835: Battle of Mount Austen, the Galloping Horse, and the Sea Horse Welcome to Featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia’s finest articles. The featured article for Friday, 7 February 2025 is Battle of Mount Austen, the Galloping Horse, and the Sea Horse. The Battle of Mount Austen, the Galloping Horse, and the Sea Horse, part of which is sometimes called the Battle of the Gifu, took place from 15 December 1942 to 23 January 1943 and was primarily an engagement between United States and Imperial Japanese forces in the hills near the Matanikau River area on Guadalcanal during the Guadalcanal campaign. The U. S. forces were under the overall command of Major General Alexander Patch and the Japanese forces were under the overall command of Lieutenant General Harukichi Hyakutake. In the battle, U. S. soldiers and Marines, assisted by native Solomon Islanders, attacked Imperial Japanese Army forces defending well-fortified and entrenched positions on several hills and ridges. The most prominent hills were called Mount Austen, the Galloping Horse, and the Sea Horse by the Americans. The U. S. was attempting to destroy the Japanese forces on Guadalcanal, and the Japanese were trying to hold their defensive positions until reinforcements could arrive. Both sides experienced extreme difficulties in fighting in the thick jungles and tropical environment of the battle area. Many of the American troops were also involved in their first combat operations. The Japanese were mostly cut off from resupply and suffered greatly from malnourishment and lack of medical care. After some difficulty, the U. S. succeeded in taking Mount Austen, in the process reducing a strongly defended position called the Gifu, as well as the Galloping Horse and the Sea Horse. In the meantime, the Japanese decided to abandon Guadalcanal and withdrew to the west coast of the island. From there most of the surviving Japanese troops were successfully evacuated during the first week of February 1943.This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:41 UTC on Friday, 7 February 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Battle of Mount Austen, the Galloping Horse, and the Sea Horse on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm standard Joey.

"... we've run out of leads to work... there's just nothing coming in."In 1995, authorities decided to suspend the investigation into the disappearance of three women from Springfield, Missouri. This decision followed years of sporadic progress, including a grand jury review in 1994 that ultimately concluded without issuing any indictments. However, later that year, Steven Garrison - a suspect with tenuous ties to the case - stood trial for an unrelated crime. Strangely, that crime revealed an eerie connection to the Springfield Three's mysterious disappearance in 1992...Part 3/5Research, writing, hosting, and production by Micheal WhelanLearn more about this podcast at http://unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast, consider heading to https://www.patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a Patron or ProducerBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/unresolved--3266604/support.

We gotta get this thing off the ground. We'll see. Oh! She's— I'm sure you'll understand lately. Through the corridor. Where's the corridor. You'll see it. *walks into wall* Er—maybe not. Portal! Portal! Portal! Always. Follow. Your instinct. Maybe later? I— Wait! Where are you going?! Somewhere else! I don't know! There's something you should know. What should I know. He—shot himself this morning. Oh, that's terrible. I might have my wires crossed, Then again, Come again, Here again— Second time The controller of everything Controller of God —but if God has a controller I guess that's who I am (That's who I am) I'm not tryna look cute today; I just wanna go in on a loan How long has it been Seen I seen what you saw— But if I saw your face, It's a whole new world I got lost once; No more scholarships No more storms, No abortions. No missed calls, No more harsh words (Harsh words lost!) No more music, More songs Fire on, Bass guitar— I play everything on the wall I'm a whole animal I got tired of the wall, I got a will to work I just won't work For a star! Someone call my employer, I got ties, and bosses Leather cuffs and centrifugal force less I'm so worthless But you started it for her No, I don't want to smile; I should just start the fire under my soul To get lost with it. I'm still tied to the art, Still tied to it all I still can't decide For my heart Or my soul If I should just move on with it. I shouldn't move over so fast; This whole car has bucket seats. I should just leave it to God, And I don't want to worry too much About projects I already took losses on If it buffers again, I know I'm in charge Just thinking about where I've gone with it says I should let it go, All the way gone. I don't need a divorce I need to resurface Just let go And just get gone I've been missing a piece of my heart And I've had a lot of fun times On rooftops But I got two dogs barkin With no bones And no boners As thrones To sit upon What was that about the crown? If my plane goes down, all is lost. I thought about voice activated doors— Keeping the lights on at night And starting wars over Don't hold onto value What doesn't serve you only Sell the dream they sold you To show you The cold shoulders; I need no more open doors And no pawns If it's not worth all of it All of it. I don't want More open doors, And more artifacts to show I could only get cold hard numbers No nurses more; Wait till you get a divorce— That'll show you the cold hard world. I'm not worried about an offer. I'm not worried about a job, As long as I've got long John Silvers I'm not worried about the way it works so much Except Leaving a piece of myself In the past, With no way to get out. (There's no way to get out) Didn't I say before That I loved the whole world over you. You built the whole world over water The wall around Rome in a day. Remember the time you sold your piece And your peace Remember what you could give To forgive To forget To spend your entire life Spinning and spinning In the wild And End-the-end It's a win-win situation. Everyone gets worried after supper When the car backs out of the driveway, God knows I could be gone for an hour at most, Or a month, Depending on Where I'm going Nobody knows When I close my doors to visitors Open to the public, on some days. On some, Corporate function. Dress code with all the right Suits and ties, Dollar signs and Brunches Now, far beyond private Firewall And a lockdown mode. I'm dizzy with the loss of time But you'd chain me to a bedpost, Managed by a stranger Then again, at night I've lost all hopes All night, Steady fishing in a man made pond For nine hosts. So if 9 out of 10 times The answer is yes, And one no— Might as well vote; Get on with it I should fill out an app for McDonald's yet I'm already full of c/gum And water. So why not? Dancing through projects And galaxies Stunted in movement, alcoves Shallow ponds and hollow rivers tides Comes again who I am, When not all else m She got off the bus, I was like “Bye grandma!” Aww. I'm guilty of it myself— And this is because I know The way you are treated in public— By not only whites— but other blacks Judgement and mistreatment of the public in general— If you natural hair is the furthest away from what has been made to be the ideal standard. Mold them over aluminum muffin cups. Place in the freezer.Put all ingredients for egg custard filling in a mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth. Prepare a water bath that you can put your saucepan in later. Transfer this to a medium saucepan over low heat and use a rubber spatula to keep stirring until the mixture starts to coat the spatula thinly. Remove from the heat and transfer the saucepan to a water bath to cool it down quickly.Preheat oven to 485 F (Yes, pretty high temp!). Remove the pastry from the freezer and place it on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Pour the egg custard mixture until about 3/4 full in each shell.Place them in the oven, bake for 30 minutes. Rotate every 10 minutes for even browning. Toward the end of cooking, custard will start to bubble and blister.Remove from the oven. Let it cool for about 1 minute and then unmold the tarts to a wire rack to let them cool down. They'll turn soggy if they sit in the muffin cups for too long. The top will sink a little bit and this is normal. Serve while warm if possible. You can store tarts in the fridge and reheat them in the oven at 400F for about 10 minutes.

Galloping In Grace 2 Cor 3:17 #RTTBROS #Nightlight Galloping in God's Grace Verse: "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." - 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV) SEATTLE (AP) — A zebra that escaped from a trailer east of Seattle last weekend remained on the lam Friday, as authorities closed off trailheads at a nature area in hopes of keeping people away and easing her capture. The zebra was one of four that escaped as they were being transported from Washington to Montana last Sunday. The driver had taken the Interstate 90 exit for North Bend, in the Cascade mountain foothills about 30 miles (48 kilometers) east of Seattle, to secure the trailer, when the zebras got loose, surprising residents and drivers as they galloped into a rural neighborhood. Three were quickly captured after being corralled in a pasture. But the fourth — a mare called “Z” — hopped a fence and has proved more elusive, spawning popular social media memes that have placed the animal everywhere from riding a ferry across Puget Sound to rounding the bases at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV), "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Just as those zebras broke free from their confines, we too can experience the liberation that comes from the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are no longer bound by the shackles of sin and guilt. The Spirit of the Lord dwells within us, granting us the freedom to live abundantly in His grace. We are set free to run the race set before us, not weighed down by the burdens of our past or the worries of our future. As the zebras galloped with joy, their stripes a beautiful testament to their uniqueness, we too can celebrate the individuality God has given each of us. In Christ, we are free to be who He created us to be, unhindered by the expectations or limitations of this world. So let us embrace the liberty we have in the Lord, allowing His Spirit to guide us as we gallop through life with purpose and passion. May we, like those zebras, bring unexpected joy and wonder to those around us as we live out our freedom in Christ. Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the freedom we have in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to fully embrace the liberty that comes from Your Spirit dwelling within us. Grant us the courage to break free from the confines of sin and to gallop with joy in Your abundant grace. May our lives be a testament to the freedom found in You. In Jesus' name, Amen. https://linktr.ee/rttbros Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros

Beginnings are formed when something else ends,A skin that was torn, with healing, now mends,The scars of our past are now etched in stone,A map to the future when trav'lin' alone. A home without peace makes a child want to fight,A life spent in shadow won't recognize the light, Though gray skies may gather, seek shelter from the storm,Just rise above those dark clouds and the sun'll keep you warmThe rivers are running, both faster and red,Now water flows scarlet with the help of the dead,Break free from the present, with fury and force,And run like the river with haste from the source.Free of the duties, and free of the shame,Free of the people that gave you their name,Freedom to see a better day ahead,The freedom of death without being dead. Now left all alone, with the pain of the past,The trials of present are not meant to last, When your're left with nothin', hold onto what counts,Cause the harder they hit you the higher you bounce.Original Musical Arrangements by Jackie Presti with Lyrics by Ryan Knowles.Support the showCAST & CREWAloysius, Jupiter Nameless - Eric AustinAllela, Fiona Pratt, Gertrude Redd - Kate PiattiLillian Method, Carmela Kaine, Veronica Delmonaco - Hannah SchoonerThomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Arch Porter - Ryan KnowlesOther roles played by the cast.Original Music Arrangements - Jackie PrestiLyrics and Lead Vocals - Ryan KnowlesGuitar and Mandolin - Bob RoseChorus Singers - Robin Campbell, Jackie Presti, Lindsay RoseAudio Production and Sound Design - Alex SterlingAssistant Audio Engineer - Colin BrysonExecutive Producer - Nadine WelchWriter - Kevin LikelyProducer and Director - Justin HeymanSpecial thanks to Prof. Elizabeth Ellis-MarinoWrite us:contact@palecolumbia.com

We're back in the saddle again! Galloping along with our archeologist friend Dr. Indiana Jones played by Harrison Ford, who just turned 81 years old! We prepared for this adventure by recently rewatching the first four Indiana Jones movies in one day. The first three Jones movies from the 1980s were wonderful. But needless to say, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) did not hold up, and our expectations for this fifth installment of the Dr. Jones saga were low. Director James Mangold takes the reigns from Spielberg this time, along with many credited screenwriters. This time it's 1969, and we're searching around the globe for Archimedes' Dial of Destiny. Harrison Ford leads the cast, which includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Ethann Isidore, and Mads Mikkelsen. Returning characters include John Rhys-Davies as Sallah and Karen Allen as Marion Ravenwood. Composer John Williams does some heavy lifting, scoring the heck out of this one at the age of 91! We'll let you know all the highs and lows of our final adventure with Dr. Indiana Jones!
