I have 2 boys in the house and we also now have 3 xboxes. I have one other linked so we can play two xboxes under my one live account. However the 3rd Xbox can’t be used to play on live so we can’t play 3 player games....at least I can’t figure out how we can do that. I can be logged into the 360 playing a game and the other two can play on their xboxes but we can not get all 3 xboxes going at once on live under my one account. Do you have 2 live accounts? Or if not how did you get all 3 going? I miss the family live account when you could pay $70 for your entire family. We are extremely lucky at Byte Me to have access to what many would call a Sea of Thieves expert. That expert, of course, is Captain Vinny Pegleg...the man, the myth, the pirate legend! Yarr!Vinny and Captain Blondbeard (aka Dylan) took us all the way through the last year of Sea of Thieves updates, from the vanilla game of last year through the just released Anniversary Update! So hoist the mainsail, batten down the hatches and umm...shiver me timbers as we Sail the Seven seas with Vinny!
Generally when you are on a podcast, it's you that's doing the interviewing. But Isaac Golden of WLCA radio in Illinois is working on a project for school where he has to interview six podcasters and found Byte Me through PodcastOne.Cliff sat down with him and answered questions about how Byte Me got started, how Byte Me DLC evolved out of the main podcast, if doing a podcast has changed how he looks at video games, how he thinks you should deal with trolls and his advice for folks looking to start their own podcast.
We are a little bit late this week, but with both Cliff and Adam sick it's been a bit challenging to get three people in a room together that can all talk without dying! Once we did though, we talked Fortnite and PUBG coming to mobile, about the huge dump of games coming to the Switch, Shadow of the Tomb Raider gets a release date, Byte Me favorite What Remains of Edith Finch is nominated for seven BAFTA awards, Skyrim is coming to Vive and Occulus and the Xbox is getting Freesync support! We answered a couple of questions from Vinny, Colby and Shadough X and went over the HUGE list of games you can get free from Twitch Prime for the next month!
This week we talk about whether or not Games Pass will be the turning point for Xbox as they add in all forthcoming first-party games, Fable may (hopefully!) be getting a reboot, lots of controller news between The Duke and a new Xbox Pro Controller, John Cena might be Duke Nukem and PUBG is getting a new loading screen and new anti-cheat updates.Vinny tries to stump us with questions from The Guinness Book of World Records, the Byte Me guys spend a strange day in VR thanks to MightyWepaman and Mansocks asks...well, you'll see. We are also a Humble Bundle Partner now, so go buy some Humble games (but got to bytemepodcast.com/humble first!) We'd suggest Humble Bundle Monthly which just added Owlboy to its already impressive Civ VI based contests or maybe check out the new Paradox Bundle which will get you Magika 2, Pillars of Eternity and Stellaris!
This episode is all about the GOTY. We each picked our favorite Switch, PS4, Xbox and PC games, plus our GOTY, plus our favorite game we played this year that wasn't released this year!We also had some GOTY feedback from our Discord channel and answered a couple of questions.Have a Safe and Happy Holiday's from your friends at Byte Me!
Since Thursday is Thanksgiving (at least in the US) we thought we'd release a day early so you could listen before you start stuffing yourself with turkey. But if that's not your thing, I say put it on when you are eating and expose the extended family to some Byte Me goodness! This week we talked about Switch third-party games, a conspiracy theory about Battlefront 2 and EA, ask for just a little bit of critical thinking about things before we dogpile and a Minecon update! We answered some great questions about video games (and pie), talked cheap & free games and even did a Small Bite!
In our inaugural podcast, meet the Byte Me team and hear what we are playing. We also talk about what games coming out this holiday we are (or aren't) excited about, whether or not we think the NES Mini is worth buying and talk about the Nintendo Switch price leak. We finish off the episode talking about mobile games Severed and The Trail. Check it out and let us know what you think!
