Interview with P-VALLEY Creator and Cast, Katori Hall, Nicco Annan, Elarica Johnson, Brandee Evans, Shannon Thornton, J. Alphonse Nicholson, and Parker Sawyers #PValley is a popular series about the lives of strippers and the other people in a fictional town (Chucalissa) in Mississippi. Uncle Clifford is the house mother that runs The Pynk, the club where much of the show initially takes place. While strippers Autumn, Keyshawn and Mercedes, as well as the bouncer Diamond, are central to the show, Clifford and his relationships - particularly with rapper Lil Murda - also take center stage. In the interview, the cast and creator talk about flack they've gotten for the show, as well as the fact that many people are supportive of it. It's a great show, with fantastic art and characters, and heart - not "just a show about strippers." ~ Edit: It's not in the interview, but as I was telling Nicco (Uncle Clifford) after, the relationship between Clifford and Murda was/is adorable. (Until a certain point) it's healthy and has a natural ease of just two people who genuinely care about each other that's great to see! #loveislove ~ While #PrideMonth was officially last month, it's a celebration all year 'round! Happy #Pride2

The Dirty Dozen Tour has started and we see Keyshawn (aka M-I crooked letta, crooked letta...) and Lil Murda adjusting to tour life and new found fame. Mercedes agrees to be Coach's kept woman to hold on to her gym and surprisingly finds a possible friend and ally in his wife. Uncle Clifford pops that p*ssy at the Pynk to show the girls she's not new to this, she's true to this! And new girl Roulette breaks Uncle Clifford Rule #4: "You ho, you out da do'." Will Roulette get fired on her day off for tricking? Will Big L become the biggest gotdamn drug dealer in Chucalissa?? Scared money don't make money, so we shall see... Lastly, we bid adieu to the brilliant, heartwarming show that kept Kleenex in business, "This Is Us." We will miss you, Pearson family

P-Valley season 2 is off to a great start! It's obvious that it's goin' down in Chucalissa and some of our favorite characters will find themselves in deep sh*t. (8:00) Murda's enemy (10:32) Keyshawn's baby daddy (11:26) Shout-out to Haley's lips (11:57) Andre Obama ain't sh*t (15:17) Diamond

Autumn runs to the hair shop after Uncle Clifford insults Autumn's hair. Did you notice that? I also get into how difficult it is to build a casino in the bible belt. I discuss “white girl magic," sweating in Chucalissa, safe sex, and Mercedes and Terricka's bombshell shocker! We didn't see that coming. Mercedes was a teen mom? We hope you enjoy! In celebration of tonight's season finale, the baddest B of Chucalissa, Mississippi took a break from the Pynk to ki-ki on The YBF Podcast. Brandee Evans is a STAR, and we knew it from the moment she took over - and by took over we mean did ish we have never seen done on anybody's tv show involving a stripper pole - Starz's newest hit show, "P-Valley". The professional choreographer, former school English Department head EVERYTHING, so we had to chop it up with her to find out about her "overnight success" that def required some major grinding and studying her craft. Brandee and Natasha chop it up about Brandee being a full time caretaker for her real life mom while also grinding on the acting scene, which is interesting since her relationship with her mother was not always a healthy one. She talks about her character Mercedes' toxic relationship with her mother Patrice being so relatable, and it's definitely worth the listen. Brandee also dishes on what it took to get into that EXTRA snatched shape, stunt doubles, Starz giving us naked man parts for once *clap for 'em!*, colorism, her fine a** castmates like Thomas Q. Jones & Tyler Lepley, why she should play Angela Bassett in her biopic, what she needs from a man, her friendship with Tina Lawson, her character Mercedes' real age, and if those comparisons to "Bring It"'s Coach D have any merit.
