Moni sotilasasiantuntija arvioi, että halukkaiden maiden koalition pitäisi olla valmis jalkauttamaan sotilaita Ukrainaan. Yhdysvalloilla ei Trumpin johdolla näytä siihen kuitenkaan olevan haluja. Euroopan mailta edellytetäänkin nyt vahvaa roolia. Ohjelmassa pohditaan, millaiset uskottavat turvatakuut voisivat olla. Haastateltavien sotilasasiantuntijoiden mukaan operaation ehdot tulee määritellä tarkasti, sillä Venäjä tulisi takuiden sitovuutta todennäköisesti testaamaan. Ohjelmassa kuullaan myös, mitä ukrainalaiset ajattelevat tekeillä olevista turvatakuista ja rauhanehdoista. Tosin taistelujen Ukrainassa jatkuessa edellytyksiä tulitaukoa valvovalle operaatiollekaan ei ole. Alaskan huippukokouksessa presidentti Donald Trump taipui Venäjän presidentin Vladimir Putinin ajamaan näkökantaan, että rauhanneuvotteluja voitaisiin käydä ilman tulitaukoa, taisteluiden jatkuessa. Se oli pitkän linjan yhdysvaltalaisen turvallisuuspolitiikan asiantuntijan mukaan Trumpilta iso strateginen virhe. Putin sai Alaskasta sen mitä halusi huonosti valmistautuneelta Trumpin tiimiltä, yhdysvaltalaisasiantuntija sanoo ohjelmassa.
