In this teaching, Pastor Randy Mosher, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel of the Cumberland Valley, continues to lead us on a verse-by-verse journey through the Book of Jeremiah. In this teaching, we pick up in Jeremiah 26:10, where tensions rise in the temple as the religious leaders and officials react to Jeremiah's bold call to repentance. Though threatened with death, Jeremiah stands firm, delivering God's message with conviction and courage. Moving into Chapter 27, we explore a powerful object lesson involving yokes—where Jeremiah, under God's direction, physically wears a yoke to symbolize Judah's coming submission to Babylon. It's a dramatic moment that challenges both the political leadership and the false prophets who promised peace when judgment was near. Together, these chapters confront us with questions about whose voice we're listening to—and whether we're willing to accept God's truth even when it's uncomfortable. Come ready to dig deep into God's Word and be strengthened in faith, discernment, and obedience. Presentation Aids: Study Outline.

In this teaching, Pastor Randy Mosher, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel of the Cumberland Valley, continues to lead us in a verse-by-verse study through the Book of Jeremiah. In this teaching he picks up in Jeremiah 25:34 and continues into chapter 26:11. In these powerful and sobering passages, we'll witness God's declaration of judgment not just on Judah, but on the nations as a whole. The imagery is vivid and weighty—a cup of God's wrath passed from one kingdom to the next, symbolizing His righteous anger against rebellion and injustice. But the message doesn't end with judgment; in chapter 26, we see the prophet Jeremiah standing in the temple courts, faithfully proclaiming God's word to a resistant and hostile audience. Some reject him outright. Others call for his death. But there are also those who pause and listen—proving that even in the midst of national hard-heartedness, there are still hearts willing to respond. As we study these chapters, we reflect not only on what happened in ancient Judah, but also on what it means for us today. These verses remind us that speaking God's truth may not always be popular, but it is always necessary. Jeremiah's courage—and even the example of another little-known prophet named Uriah—challenges us to be faithful witnesses in our own time, even when costly. Midweek “Verse-by-Verse” Teaching – Jeremiah 25:15–33 - with Pastor Randy Mosher, Calvary Chapel of the Cumberland Valley. In this powerful continuation of Jeremiah 25, we witness the prophet bearing the “cup of the Lord's fury” to the nations—a symbol of divine judgment that begins with Jerusalem but does not stop there. In verses 15–33, God makes clear that His justice will reach far beyond Judah, encompassing all kingdoms of the earth. This sobering passage confronts us with the reality of God's righteous wrath against sin, the responsibility of leadership, and the certainty of coming judgment. Join us as we walk verse-by-verse through this prophetic warning, unpacking the imagery, historical backdrop, and implications for both ancient nations and our modern world. We'll also reflect on how this passage foreshadows God's ultimate plan of redemption through Christ—who drank the cup of wrath so we could receive the cup of mercy. Listen in and be stirred, sobered, and strengthened in your walk with the Lord.

Verse-by-verse through the Book of Jeremiah with Pastor Randy Mosher, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel of the Cumberland Valley, in Hagerstown, MD. In Jeremiah 24 we explore the powerful vision of the two baskets of figs. One basket is filled with good figs—representing those whom God will preserve and bless, even in exile. The other holds bad figs—symbolizing those who persist in rebellion and will face judgment. This short but vivid chapter reminds us that God sees the heart, and even in seasons of discipline, He is working for the good of those who trust Him. It's a message of both warning and hope—calling us to trust God's purposes even when they unfold in unexpected ways. Presentation Graphics: PDF PowerPoint Study Outline https://calvarycumberland.com

The lady flows through a growing urban sprawl, strip malls and housing projects, gets her ground water sucked out of it, and yet it's very resilient and migratory browns have developed a life survival strategy to combat all the hardships thrown at it including climate change. Join guest river keeper and guide: Neil Sunday, and host Matt Supinski as they discuss in part 1 its history dating back to the French and Indian war, its watershed from head to tail and beyond; and it's modern legacy. The main point of the podcast is conservation and how to protect the Letort and get it more friends.
