Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, and company lost to both Iowa State and Alabama (IN 4 OVERTIMES) to wrap up the Phil Knight Invitational in Portland, Oregon. Coming off a monster performance against Portland, Pete Nance was more or less a non-factor in the games. Puff Johnson has added much needed depth of the bench, but Coach Davis is not utilizing everything that's at his disposal. Mack Brown's football team is going through similar struggles, albeit on the other side of the season. Drake Maye, Josh Downs, Antoine Green, and the rest of the team have lost back-to-back to Georgia Tech and NC State. The club will look to regroup before facing Dabo Swinney's Clemson Tigers on Saturday in the ACC Championship.
