In this episode, we have the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Dustin Davis, a renowned veterinarian with expertise in artificial insemination and parasitic aspects of animals. Dr. Davis shares his journey in the field of veterinary medicine and discusses the potential of flavonoids in treating parasites and inflammation in animals. Dr. Davis's introduction to the world of veterinary medicine was serendipitous. Growing up in rural Georgia, he initially pursued a career in engineering but soon realized his passion for working with animals. After witnessing a large animal veterinarian in action, he knew that becoming a veterinarian was the perfect blend of his love for animals and his desire for an adrenaline-filled career. Dr. Davis went on to specialize in reproductive work, including embryo flushing and artificial insemination and eventually ventured into the field of deer farming.Deer farming, particularly in states like Texas and Pennsylvania, has become a multi-billion dollar industry. However, parasites pose a significant challenge for deer farmers, leading to substantial economic losses. Dr. Davis recognized the need for effective parasite control in deer farming and began exploring the potential of flavonoids in combating these parasites. Flavonoids are naturally occurring compounds found in various plants, such as onions, kale, and berries, and have been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and anti-parasitic properties.
Dustin Davis is a cowboy who trains and breeds horses and cows. Along the way, he has discovered that horses have an opinion. Training them to respect your opinion on command demands you take a leadership role with them. It's a skillset that translates directly to leadsing people as well. It also involves flexible communication skills. Each of us maps out a plan for a day's activities, however, the horse may not agree with our plan. We adjust. We become malleable. We work around the difference of opinion - which is very much how we work together as people as well. I'm a twenty year old ex-collegiate athlete turned entrepreneur. I started up wholesaling back in April of 2022, at nineteen, working out of my college dorm room. After the semester ended I decided that I'd forgo my last three years of school and dive full time into growing the business. I've decided to take a risk and embark on the journey of acquiring knowledge through experience. I plan on taking full advantage of these years I've essentially given back to myself in order to create separation between my competition and I. Time being our greatest asset, I am focused on scaling my Wholesaling business, networking with more like minds, learning how to identify new opportunities and being well prepared to capitalize on them. You asked, I listened and today, I am proud to bring you COBRA KAI, the first scripted series discussed on our show. What began as a wild hair idea from 3 KARATE KID obsessed feature comedy writers became the signature series for Youtube's premium streaming service, Youtube Red. Today I welcome one of those creators, Jon Hurwitz, as well as Youtube Red's Head of Comedy development, Dustin Davis, for a incredible discussion of how they convinced various rights holders, wined and dined potentially reluctant stars and employed Google analytics (along with a healthy dose of good old fashioned gut instict) to bring this fantastic series to life...and not upset a legion of hard core fans along the way. It's a great one that I hope you enjoy!
In this week's episode, we circle back to our first topic in this series where we will discuss Leadership. We are honored and excited to have Dustin Davis, Head Football Coach for 12 years, to have a deep dive conversation around the topic of what it takes to be a good leader.

Pastor Keith Radke assumes command today as he explains how our hearts are influenced by external things and how Jesus promises to give us peace in John 14:27! This same verse tells us not to be troubled OR afraid! Heather also brings up a GREAT point specifically about trials and storms. Sometimes being thankful just means being able to look back and being able to tell God “Thank you, without that I wouldn’t be who I am today!”
