Welcome back to the FPL Lounge! The lads are back to preview GW30.Shortened pod this week after the lads return from a stag do, and with a Tuesday deadline after FA Cup QF weekend, there's much to talk about! The shape of the rest of the FPL season, while not confirmed, far clearer than it was ahead of GW29, with the FA Cup semi-finalists confirmed and likely resulting in 4 teams blanking in GW34, and 4 teams doubling in GW33. The lads run through what that, and an injury to Erling Haaland, now mean for the game.Crystal Palace are going to be very popular in FPL from now until the end of the season , with three possible doubles (and two possible blanks) between now and the end of the season. With that in mind, two Eagles feature on the centre of the radar, with an additional one on the mid-range. The lads also include a City asset with upside, and doubling defenders. In a shortened pod they skip straight to captaincy, where they assess whether Marmoush and Mateta, playing two of the worst sides in the league this season, can rival Mo Salah's captaincy supremecy. If you like what you hear, do let the guys know on X (fka Twitter), Insta, Threads or TikTok, @FPL_Lounge, and the lads are now on BlueSky too, but without the underscore: @FPLLounge. Be sure to subscribe wherever you get your pods, so you always get new episodes in advance of the Gameweek deadline!
Can Marmoush cover Haaland and is he the best captaincy option this week?
Bored of the International Break and ready to get back in the swiong of FPL, Bux and Brian bring in a powerhouse guess from across the Atlantic Ocean in @FPLFella. Dan returns to the podcast to discuss his brilliant blank GW29 wildcare draft and his perspective on the teams to target for the run in. Brian dreams of a top 1K finish with another strong GW and 4 chips remaining with a 2,4K overall rank and 8 game weeks to go. While Bux brings the banter amidst a season from hell. Fun episode with two top managers, some derby drama and plenty of classic #FPLUSA FA cup shenanigans. Hope you enjoy and crush it in GW30.

Suj and James review the Blank Gameweek of 29 and very differing FPL fortunes as Suj's Free Hit went from a dreadful Saturday to a spectacular Sunday, whilst James' weekend was without a Free Hit and instead something altogether ****! ...And that's before conversation gets to Tottenham's latest defeat! All games covered including Bruno Fernandes' haul in Manchester United's victory at woeful Leicester, it was Anthony Elanga rather than Chris Wood who went big as Forest also won well on the road, Brighton were unfortunate not to take all 3 points from Manchester City and Brentford produced perhasp the surprise of the weekend, with victory at Bournemouth. It's over two weeks until GW30 and there's a repeat of how information will be king going into the next Gameweek, there's discussion on players of interest, targeting the bottom 3, points chasing, Erling Haaland and more... These are the best players to buy in Gameweek 29 & why Bournemouth/City should be a priority.
Welcome back to the FPL Lounge! The lads are back to preview GW29.And it's a blank gameweek, with four teams not playing due to the EFL Cup Final, there's plenty of strategy divergence for FPL managers to navigate. There's a player on the centre of the radar this week, but a big chance you already own him! Andy & Chris don't, though, and despite being fairly against this player all season, he feels essential this week. A somewhat-maligned defence has some short and long-term appeal on the mid-range, with a wing-back with attacking upside and a very cheap £4.0m option giving some appeal. Things have gotten slightly worse, but still ultimately can only get Beto, on the fringe.Double down on a swimming against the tide? Why not? Despite blanking again, one premium asset feels like returns are imminent based on he underlying numbers. And with Salah blanking, who do we turn to with our captain's armband? The lads finish, as ever, with a little game they like to call Who the Heck Is Stat?! If you like what you hear, do let the guys know on X (fka Twitter), Insta, Threads or TikTok, @FPL_Lounge, and the lads are now on BlueSky too, but without the underscore: @FPLLounge. Join Josh and Brandon as we recap the Premier League's ups and downs, highs and lows from this weekend. Major disappointment for Cole Palmer punters who can only watch in terror as Salah break's the single-season points record (that he already owned) . . . in March. But it's guaranteed that Salah will not factor in GW29 as Liverpool blank in favor of their League Cup final against Newcastle. Thusly, Newcastle also blank in GW29, as do Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. So, what strategies are best suited to getting through next weekend? Josh has committed to a Free Hit and takes us through his picks for the gameweek, while Brandon will use his stockpile of free transfers to move on some useless players. With that, we take a well-rounded view of what's to come, also weigh in on Manchester City's potential impact, and deliberate heavily on the optimal captaincy options. Hail Cheaters! My FPL GW29 First Team Selection and Transfer Plans!
With GW28 nearly in the books, we look ahead to GW29 - the GW that contains the Carabao Cup Final and therefore a blank for Liverpool and Newcastle, as well as their would-be opponents Palace and Villa. Neither Lee nor Sam are looking to FreeHit, so how on earth are we going to navigate through unscathed? We'll also look back at the weekend's action, including a missed penalty for Palmer, but two scored for Sarah - as he breaks an all-time FPL record. GOAT. GW scores, teams and overall ranks as usual, including Sam's Assistant Manager thoughts for next week, as she has the chip active. *Sam Featured on the Official Spurs Instagram Page for International Women's Day: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DG7qCdHuedg/?igsh=Z3pwcjB2Y2h2NGo1 A massive THANK YOU for all your support watching, liking and sharing our videos! _________________________

Join Josh and Brandon as we look ahead to GW28 and key FPL transfers and captain picks. The main talking point might be manufactured concern over Mo Salah's minutes against Southampton. Is that enough to scare us off the armband or even a Triple Captain chip? Plus, we recap the weekend's FA Cup results and consider what impact the quarterfinal draw will have on the fantasy calendar. A red card suspension for Cunha and head injury for Mateta complicate our thinking, too, with GW29 fixture blanks around the corner—many strategies are are still on the table, with or without a Free Hit. Join Josh and Brandon as we recap the highs and lows of GW26—including a postmortem on our Assistant Manager chip experiences—then quickly look ahead to Tuesday's midweek GW27 deadline. A key question is on Cole Palmer and whether he can reemerge as an FPL darling with the two best home fixtures of any fantasy pick in the next two gameweeks. Do we dare we give Cole the armband? Plus, we discuss how the GW29 blanks for Liverpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace should impact our upcoming transfer and chip strategies—speaking of, what even is the optimal chip strategy at the moment? Players from Liverpool, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are hitting great form but with a Blank for all four teams on the horizon in Gameweek 29, it's time to plan to transfer some of them out
Suj and James revisit a Podcast from 4 weeks ago deliberating which week would be best to Free Hit from the potential Blank Gameweeks of 29 and 34. There's discussion on considering the template, including the importance of Erling Haaland, and the fixtures before after GW29 when making a decision on whether to activate the Free Hit or run through the Gameweek, and that decision will need to be made without the picture for the Doubles of 33 and the Blanks of 34. There's a look at potential Free Hit Drafts for 29, 33 and 34 and James reiterates the script for the current projections and has warnings about how the weeks around the FA Cup Semi Finals may not be exactly what we think and how that can have big implications for Wildcarders looking to Bench Boost. And the consequence of the Newcastle v Crystal Palace arrangement for GW32 might not be as obvious for GW33 as it appears now. On the Gameweek 25 Review Podcast Suj and James discuss all the key FPL relevant info from the weekend which featured disappointment for many owning Aston Villa assets as they were held by ten man Ipswich, Manchester City's demolition of Newcastle featured a hat-trick from Omar Marmoush and Arsenal found someone who could play up front in an unlikely source as sub Mikel Merino. There's also reaction to Tottenham's victory against Manchester United in the battle of the underachievers, there was another limp display from Chelsea at Brighton which included a stunning goal for the hosts by Kaoru Mitoma, and Wolves made Liverpool sweat at Anfield. Plus, there's discussion on solutions next for those on the Assistant Manager Chip and some of the consequences from the announcement of Newcastle and Crystal Palace being arranged for Gameweek 32, James contemplates switching Salah to Haaland in GW29, but will the Egyptian King still get the armband when the two clubs meet in GW26? James' live stream is dominated with Chip questions following the Premier League's shock announcement today that the GW29 fixtures of Arsenal v Chelsea, Aston Villa v Liverpool and Fulham v Tottenham will be brought forward to GW25 in the event that they need to be postponed to accommodate a team playing in the Carabao Cup Final. James explains the possibilities and why this announcement could have a huge bearing on the future Double Gameweeks of 33 and 36. Plus, should those intending to Triple Captain Mo Salah now abort and play the Assistant Manager Chip instead? And if the do, should it be on Arne Slot or David Moyes? Plus, why possible Gameweek 25 doublers should be held, why it may now pay to wait on Bournemouth and Brentford assets rather than invest, benching dilemmas and lots more! Suj and James assess the possibilities for using the Free Hit Chip in one of the likely Blank Gameweeks of 29 or 34. Gameweek 29 is likely to have two postponements due to the Carabao Cup Final; there is discussion on how best to manage the first Blank subject to which games are actually postponed with a look at how a template Free Hit might change subject to which games stay on. But is GW34 a better week to cover the problems? There's discussion about the best fixtures in that week and how what could happen in a possible Double Gameweek 33 will impact the Blank after, with some teams potentially Doubling and then Blanking in consecutuve weeks. And a consequence could GW33 be better to use the Free Hit Chip? The answer ultimately may be decided by the who, and when.
