A very different Clash of the Correspondents this week, as rather than discussing an upcoming fixture James is joined by Wolves fan Bradley Parker and Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson to discuss their clubs following Wolves' 2-0 victory against Villa at Molineux at the weekend. It was a big win for Wolves, particularly following defeats earlier in the day for Ipswich and Leicester; but for Villa it was another disappointing result after a Champions League games which dents their hopes of trying to qualify again foe Europe's top competition. There's also Fantasy discussion with Wolves looking at a brilliant fixture swing in the near future en route to Blank Gameweek 29 and Villa could have a Double Gameweek in the forthcoming Gameweek 25. There's discussion on defensive assets and the likes of Matheus Cunha, Morean Rogers and Ollie Watkins. On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Fulham fan Lewis James and Aston Villa Lee Jackson to discuss the latest at their clubs and their interesting FPL assets ahead of the GW8 meeting at Craven Cottage. Fulham have started really well, beaten only twice in Manchester and they have a great group of upcoming fixtures, whilst Villa have also started well, though it perhaps should also be expected with who they've played so far and fixtures are now looking tougher and have we already seen signs of the Champions League proving a distraction? Both Antonee Robinson and Emile Smith-Rowe have been popular for FPL managers so far, should Fantasy managers stick with them or look elsewhere with Fulham having only kept one clean sheet and with Smith-Rowe benched at the weekend? James has a big Erling Haaland dilemma, and the only way to get him him would include selling Ollie Watkins; does Lee think he should do it? Plus, there's a follow up on conversation during the last International break on concerns over Villa defensively, Raul Jimenez has hit form making him worth considering, and is Morgan Rogers likely to stay the community's darling as enabling midfield choice, particularly when many at a similar price are outperforming him on some of the underlying numbers, and that includes several Fulham players! Day 4 of Correspondent Week concludes with the team that finished in the Top 4 to secure Champions League football as James is joined by Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson to discuss The Villains fantastic achievement and their FPL assets before the big kick off. Ollie Watkins was phenomenal last season and a Euro Semi Final hero for England. Currently owned by roughly half of FPL managers he's the club's clear talisman. Villa have a challenging opening two so those without may want to add the forward in GW3, but it might not be easy for those who go without it might not be so easy to bring him in without a Wildcard. Leon Bailey also had a great season and at 6.5 will appeal, particularly for those without Watkins, but with UCL football to look forward to how reliable will his minutes be? And might Morgan Rogers, currently the only 5.0 midfielder owned by over 3% of managers be the better way to cover some of the Villa attack? There's also assessment of Villa's defensive assets including Ezri Konsa and Ian Maatsen and an assessment of the club's summer transfer business. Which as been, interesting.
