www.patreon.com/theconspiracypodcastTwenty-five years later, The Conspiracy Podcast is finally tackling it. "9/11: Unanswered" kicks off with the day itself — minute by minute, four flights, one morning that changed everything. It starts like any other Tuesday. Nineteen men move through four different airports — Portland, Boston, Newark, Washington Dulles — carrying box cutters and knives with blades under four inches, which was perfectly legal at the time. Ten of them get flagged by CAPPS, the era's passenger screening system, before they even board. Flagged, and let through anyway. Hosts Eric , Sean and Jorge pull apart exactly how that happened, working straight from the 9/11 Commission Report to keep the timeline accurate rather than relying on secondhand retellings. From there it's real time. Flight attendants Betty Ong and Amy Sweeney calling it in from the air as it's happening. Daniel Lewin, a former Israeli special forces officer, trying to stop his own hijacker before anyone on the ground even knows what's unfolding. The first plane hits the North Tower and the world assumes it's an accident — until the second one hits live on television, and there's no more room for that assumption. Then the Pentagon. Then United 93, where the passengers find out, mid-flight, exactly what happened to the other three planes and make a decision most of them never get the chance to think twice about. The episode also follows President Bush's morning at a Florida elementary school — the seven minutes in that classroom people are still arguing about twenty-five years later — through Air Force One and into the address that ended up shaping the next two decades of American foreign policy. This one ran long. Long enough that the hosts split it into two parts rather than cut corners on any of it. Part 2 picks up exactly where this one leaves off. Later episodes in the series get into what's still unresolved after twenty-five years — the Commission's own gaps, the disputed collapse of Building 7, and the questions around the Pentagon that never fully went away.New episodes of "9/11: Unanswered" drop every Tuesday through September 28th. Patreon members get early access to every episode in the series plus the full, extended After Hours cut. www.patreon.com/theconspiracypodcast

Lindsay Clancy told her journal she was drowning every day. She told her doctors she wasn't enjoying her children. She wrote that she wanted to feel happy and didn't know if the medications were real help or a mask. Her psychiatrist had fourteen appointments with her, including one the day before she allegedly killed her three children. That psychiatrist told the jury Clancy never seemed psychotic. Tony Brueski and retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke answer the listener questions burning through this audience. How does a medical professional miss what a patient's own writing describes in plain language? The prosecution says Clancy was doctor shopping and switching medications to game the system. Nurses and mothers in this audience hear that and recognize desperation, not manipulation. After fourteen days on the prosecution's clock, the state rested. The defense is building its case around a woman who asked for help from every direction and got prescriptions instead of answers. Cora was five. Dawson was three. Callan was eight months old.END_LINKSListen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? What happens when you follow a platform's rules exactly as they're written… and still get flagged? In this episode of Beyond the Image, James Patrick shares his recent experience with Peerspace after a potential renter tried to move a conversation off-platform. James did exactly what Peerspace's rules require: he refused and kept the conversation on the platform. He was then flagged by Peerspace anyway. What followed raised much bigger questions about the relationship between Peerspace and the small businesses that supply its marketplace. James breaks down Peerspace's increasingly aggressive enforcement of its off-platform booking policies, the rise in its host service fee from 15% to 20%, and its introduction of paid promotional placement that allows hosts to spend more to compete for visibility. He also raises a serious concern about renter safety and accountability. What information are hosts actually given about the people entering their businesses? And what happens when a renter causes damage, uses a screen name, or provides little identifying information? There's another consequence that often gets overlooked: when the cost of doing business on a platform increases, those costs don't simply disappear. Small businesses may have to raise their rates, and those increases ultimately get passed on to renters. James also shares the response he received directly from Peerspace's founder after raising these concerns publicly, and why, while he appreciated the response, he believes it addressed only one piece of a much larger problem. This isn't about whether Peerspace should have rules. It should. It's about how those rules are enforced, how hosts are treated, what protection and accountability hosts can expect, and whether a platform taking 20% of every booking is actually treating the businesses supplying its inventory like customers. If you're a Peerspace host, renter, photographer, studio owner, or small-business owner, James wants to hear your experience. Are you seeing the same thing? In a shocking tale of technology gone wrong, a speaker shares a personal experience that highlights the darker side of automated surveillance in retail. A chance encounter at a self-checkout lane sparks a journey into the world of facial recognition technology, false accusations, and the consequences of a system that's more interested in collecting money than justice. This episode delves into the world of shoplifting accusations, where a machine's mistake can lead to a lifetime of financial burden. The speaker shares a case that's both disturbing and thought-provoking, involving a woman who was accused of shoplifting and ultimately awarded $2.1 million in damages. But what's even more alarming is the system that led to this outcome, and the way it's being used across the country. The speaker takes us on a journey through the world of civil shoplifting statutes, where the burden of proof is often shifted from the retailer to the accused. We explore the concept of "probable cause" and how it's being used to justify detentions and accusations, often with devastating consequences. The speaker also examines the role of facial recognition technology and the companies behind it, including Walmart's use of the "Missed Scan Detection" system. If you're concerned about your rights as a consumer, or if you've ever been accused of shoplifting, this episode is a must-listen. Join us as we explore the darker side of retail technology and the importance of standing up for your rights.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Thanks to our partners Promotive, WickedFile, Maverick Shop Owners, and OverdryveWhy does the IRS really pick a tax return to audit? And if a CPA who does this for a living can still get dragged through a three-year fight, what chance does the rest of us have?In this episode, Hunt Demarest, CPA, steps out from behind the desk to tell his own story — a three-year audit of his 2023 tax return that started with a suspiciously timed refund and ended with a win built entirely on paperwork. Hunt breaks down what gets a return flagged in the first place, the one habit that separates audits you win from ones you lose, and why "innocent" and "victorious" aren't always the same outcome — proven by a client who did everything right and still wrote a $25,000 check to the IRS.Hunt also pulls back the curtain on what his firm's audit protection covers, why informational requests aren't the same as a real audit, and why a single missing signature nearly cost him a case tax law was already on his side of. Whether you're worried about a deduction on your own return or want to know what triggers an IRS letter, this episode is a real-time look at how audits actually play out — not the version you hear secondhand. What You'll Learn...(02:51) Hunt's own audit story begins — three years, one 2023 tax return(03:58) Why the audit really happened — a refund, then a red flag a month later(04:41) Getting flagged, part 1 — why large credits are an open invitation to audit(08:24) Getting flagged, part 2 — the oversized expense line the IRS can't ignore(09:48) Inside the process — what an IRS "information request" audit actually looks like(15:06) The rule that wins audits — documentation, documentation, documentation(19:15) Audits take time, and time is money — even when you win(19:40) 100+ hours, one frivolous case, and the real cost of defending yourself(22:28) The hardest truth — being innocent doesn't guarantee you'll win(23:12) The $25,000 loss — when the IRS agent simply won't listen(24:24) The call every shop owner dreads — when paying up beats fighting onIf you've ever wondered what actually happens after that letter shows up, why documentation is the difference between a two-month resolution and a three-year fight, and why sometimes the smartest move is knowing when to stop — this episode is essential listeningThanks to our partner, PromotivePromotive has over 40 years of recruiting and automotive experience. Last August, an alarming, high-profile audit of King County's Department of Community and Human Services' spending on “high-risk” youth program providers found widespread problems and indications of potential fraud. So now, 10 months later, has DCHS been able to clean up the issues that led to the serious internal control problems the audit surfaced? New DCHS Director Susan McLaughlin joins Erica and Sandeep (while David is away) to make the case that DCHS is back on track. The agency is now emphasizing “a culture of accountability,” McLaughlin tells us, and is implementing new supports for smaller community-based organizations to document their work. McLaughlin also expresses strong opposition to a recent proposal from King County Councilmember Rod Dembowski that would require the council to directly approve all spending under the county's Best Starts for Kids program, saying his proposed approach would “have devastating impacts” by bottlenecking DCHS' work.   Going beyond the audit aftermath, McLaughlin tells us that she is confident that DCHS is ready to provide oversight of homelessness services contracts if County Executive Zahilay and Seattle Mayor Wilson decide to claw back those contracts from the troubled King County Regional Homelessness Authority (as they're rumored to be planning), and shares insights about what DCHS learned from the contentious process of siting its new Seattle crisis care clinic on Capitol Hill.Send us a text! Why Did An ISP Trooper Get Shut Down When He Flagged A Delphi Suspect?

According to the defense's appellate filings, an ISP Trooper found "concerning similarity" between the Delphi murders and a suspect who had been flagged repeatedly by tipsters for posting images of dead girls with sticks over their bodies on social media. He pushed for further investigation. His superiors said no.This same suspect, according to the filings, sat across from investigators four days after the murders and admitted to practicing pagan rituals involving bloodletting. He owned a .40 caliber firearm — the same caliber as the round recovered at the crime scene. They recorded his interview. The Delphi Police erased the tape. They never collected the gun. When officers went to verify his alibi, his employer offered surveillance footage. They declined to review it and marked him cleared. In 2018, he allegedly created a painting of Odin hanging upside down — right leg tucked behind the left — matching how one victim was positioned at the scene. His associate, a self-described pagan religious leader who reportedly knew the murder woods "very well," had his interview go unrecorded. His alibi wasn't checked for six years. Neither man has been charged. The jury that convicted Richard Allen heard none of this. The defense argued it should have been admitted as third-party suspect evidence. The trial court excluded it.On the other side of the appeal is the document that started the case against Allen. Detective Liggett's probable cause affidavit allegedly misrepresented witness descriptions to connect Allen to Bridge Guy. Betsy Blair described a young man in his twenties with poofy brown hair — not a 44-year-old with a crew cut. The defense says those physical details were omitted while her jacket description was kept. Blair reportedly told Liggett these were two different men. Without this warrant, the defense argues, there's no search, no gun, no bullet, no arrest, no confessions. A Franks hearing to challenge the warrant was denied. An appellate court will now decide whether the exclusions and the omissions matter enough to change the outcome.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Peter Mandelson's links with senior figures in China, Russia and Israel were among the concerns raised by the UK's vetting agency when it concluded he should be denied clearance, multiple sources have told the Guardian. It comes after a powerful parliamentary committee said the government was failing to fully comply with a parliamentary motion ordering the release of all papers relating to Mandelson's appointment. A spokesperson for Hayman said he “has no personal connection or familiarity whatsoever” with Mandelson, and his contact with him was limited to work the British politician did for his thinktank. Peter and Eden kick off with a leisurely check-in — outdoor Godzilla screenings, Eden's miniature laundry room diorama with a 1/12-scale mahjong set, Peter's Amon Amarth/Dethklok concert recap, and new releases from Periphery and LE SSERAFIM. Then, with an assist from ChatGPT's Codex, Peter has assembled roughly 45 of the internet's most-agreed-upon worst album covers for a tier list ranking — S being the most catastrophically bad. The resulting hour-ish is essentially an appreciation of outsider art, deeply cursed Photoshop, and the specific chaos that was '90s rap cover design. Key revelation: the Rednecks, who made Sex and Violins, are Swedish, and that is the Cotton Eye Joe.SHOW NOTESOutdoor Movie Night Gone Right: Eden's projector plan collapsed due to daylight, so they wheeled the TV outside and screened the 1998 Godzilla with Matthew Broderick — which Eden argues holds up better than its reputation suggests. Friend L contributed an observation about American Godzilla's gender presentation that Peter and Eden both find compelling.Daikon 3 & 4 / Studio Gainax Origin Story: Eden showed friends the legendary fan animations made for the early-'80s Daikon convention circuit — blatant copyright-violating anime crossovers that nonetheless launched the careers of the people who would go on to found Gainax (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and later Trigger (Delicious in Dungeon, Season 2).Roombox 3 Progress: Eden's current miniature diorama project is a laundry room featuring a vending machine, an arcade cabinet, and a complete 1/112-scale Chinese mahjong set (all 144 tiles). Models are being dressed in fabric soft clothing rather than left as bare plastic.LE SSERAFIM New Album: Eden's favorite K-pop act has a new record out. The second track samples La Macarena, which prompted a mild generational crisis at the comic shop when the younger staff noted it predates them.Dungeon Crawler Carl / Discworld Detour: Peter is finishing Book 8 of Dungeon Crawler Carl (narrated by Jeff Hayes, whose per-character voice work Peter genuinely enjoys despite usually disliking that approach) and has resolved to go into Terry Pratchett's Discworld next as a pressure valve from heavy genre fiction.Amon Amarth / Dethklok Concert: Peter drove to Salt Lake for the Amon Amarth/Dethklok tour. Amon Amarth was a highlight — Johan Hegg commanding a full audience Viking rowing session — while Dethklok left Peter cold; the Metalocalypse spectacle on screen keeps the audience at arm's length from the music. Castle Rat opened and was a solid short set.Forza Horizon 6: Peter is ~15 hours in on the Japan-set new installment and finding it an ideal low-commitment diversion. Fits easily into 20-minute sessions or longer stretches.Periphery — A Pale White Dot: New album from the djent-adjacent prog-metal band. Peter's read: fewer peaks but also fewer low points than usual — more consistent, somewhat more middling. Flagged as interesting rather than essential.Bad Album Art Tier List: The main event. Peter used Codex to compile ~45 covers from various internet "worst of" lists into a tier list app, with S = truly worst. Notable rankings: The Faith Tones' Jesus Use Me nearly got its own tier above S; Rednex' Sex and Violins landed S upon discovering the band is Swedish and responsible for the definitive Cotton Eye Joe; Iron Maiden's Dance of Death — described as looking like "Baby's first Blender" — is an A despite being one of their best 21st-century albums; Badfinger's Ass (donkey with headphones, hand holding a carrot) closed the list as a deserved S.Creed Sidebar: Human Clay cover triggers a genuine conversation about Creed's arc — good debut, one-and-a-half good albums, then nothing. Peter credits Alter Bridge as the redemptive outcome.

2026-04-05 | UPDATES #164 | Orbán's Pipeline Plot, Russia's Election Machine, and the Seven Days That Could Kill Hungarian Democracy. Today — Sunday, April 5th, 2026 — exactly seven days before Hungary goes to the polls in what may be the most consequential election in European history this year — two backpacks containing what Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic described as explosives of "devastating power" were found a few hundred metres from the TurkStream gas pipeline in northern Serbia, near the Hungarian border.Within hours, Viktor Orbán convened an extraordinary defence council in Budapest. He posted on Facebook that Serbian authorities had uncovered "a powerful explosive device and activation mechanisms at a critical gas infrastructure site linking Serbia and Hungary." The investigation is underway. The pipeline carries Russian natural gas from Turkey through the Balkans to Hungary and Central Europe. If you have been watching the Hungarian election campaign, this moment was not a surprise. It was predicted. Warned about. Flagged by intelligence services, investigative journalists, opposition leaders, and European policy analysts — for weeks. What you are watching may be the most telegraphed false flag operation in modern European political history.
