Rebecca and Alex are back with a bang this week, chatting about loads of action from the Premier League and the Champions League. Chelsea shone in Europe in an amazing 4-4 with Ajax (although Rebecca just considers it a 5-4 win because screw VAR) and they have plenty of love for Cesar Azpilicueta and his resurgence. The Blues are also chugging along very nicely in the league, as Rebecca talks about how they’re likeable for the first time in, well, forever. Liverpool face a massive game this coming weekend as the BIGGEST GAME EVER IN FOOTBALL approaches and we look ahead to that titanic clash at the top of the table, as well as delving into Man City and Kyle Walker’s exploits in goal, along with Liverpool being 'Mentality Monsters', Sadio Mane running the show and the Ox rising again. Naturally, we have plenty of thoughts on a terrible weekend for VAR, with the latest nonsense including offside armpits, Maradona style handballs not given, and rescinded red cards. There's also plenty of chat about the rest of the Premier League, including the latest on Emery vs Xhaka, why it's possible to have empathy for both Andre Gomes and Son Heung-min, and some revised relegation picks in light of big performances from Newcastle United and Brighton. Plus, the Jorginho hop, Willian and Grey's Anatomy, Pep's penis, Planet Football, Harry Arter's political opinions, and which team Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes could still do a job for. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. A trip to Cardiff City under the lights brought to an end the first chunk of Fulham's season and whilst a draw from what is always a tough trip to the Bluebirds is absolutely nothing to be sniffed at, it was marked by a somewhat comical red card for pantomime villain Harry Arter, returning to the club with which he spent last season on loan. We break down everything from Fulham's slow starts to some ridiculous refereeing. With the first element wrapped up, it was time to take a look at the season as a whole so far. 10 points, 6th in the table, 5 goals for Mitro, three wins, two losses and a draw - we crunched the numbers and took a whirl through the Barnsley, Blackburn Rovers, Huddersfield Town, Millwall, Nottingham Forest and Cardiff - before answering a stack of your questions.
