Life with Cardiff City has started well for Brian Barry-Murphy. The Irishman has a 65% win ratio from his first 20 games. The Bluebirds have spent the majority of the season at the top of League One. A standout win over Wrexham has secured a place in the last eight of the EFL Cup against Chelsea. And host of talented youngsters are starting show their true potential. No wonder he's in relaxed mood as he discusses his first four months in charge, and how he relishes the "refreshingly honest" demands given to him by the owner Vincent Tan.
In this episode, the hosts discuss various football topics, including the recent announcement of a sporting director for St. Louis City, EFL Cup highlights, and the performances of teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool. They also delve into player performances, particularly focusing on Erling Holland's finishing skills, and preview upcoming Champions League matches. The conversation wraps up with reflections on team strategies and expectations for the season ahead.
Cardiff City certainly delivered a statement win over Wrexham in the EFL Cup, giving further evidence of the progress made under manager Brian Barry-Murphy this season. There were plenty of polished performances, but maybe none more so than Rubin Colwill. But will his display - witnessed in person by Craig Bellamy - be enough to force him into the Wales manager's plans for next month's World Cup qualifiers?Rhian Wilkinson has also been left with plenty of food for thought after two friendly defeats to Australia and Poland extended Wales' poor run to seven consecutive defeats, and no wins in their last 11 games. And Sam prepares for a return to Newport in the FA Cup with Gillingham.
Liam Keen and Jonny Drury bring you the latest episode of the E&S Wolves podcast - in association with University of Wolverhampton at The Halls. Liam and Jonny look back on a busy few days that has seen the late Burnley collapse, those scenes in front of the South Bank and a crazy EFL Cup tie with Chelsea. They look at what has gone wrong, how the second half against Chelsea may have given some Wolves fans some hope - and they answer the big question, can Vitor Pereira turn it around? Keen or Not Keen returns - and Liam answers some burning questions from you Wolves fans, before looking ahead to Saturday's trip to Fulham. Music from Poco Drom.

In this episode we look back on the 1-0 win Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon. An Eberechi Eze goal against his former club was enough for three points, on another day when Arsenal kept a clean sheet and didn't allow a shot on target [the stats are lying to you!]. We discuss the performances of both sides in a game that wasn't a classic but was exactly the kind you need to win if you want to become champions. There's discussion of open play goals versus reliance on set-pieces, and listener questions about Ethan Nwaneri, Viktor Gyokeres, how much Arteta will rotate for the EFL Cup game on Wednesday, the importance of Gabriel and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. Tabs is joined by Ian (aka @AskCannonPics) to reflect on Arsenal's gritty 1–0 win over Crystal Palace. It wasn't the most exhilarating performance, but it was professional, controlled, and enough to keep the pressure on at the top. The pair discuss Eze's first Premier League goal for Arsenal, defensive dominance, and the growing injury list — plus a preview of Wednesday's EFL Cup clash against Brighton.
In this episode, after a discussion about root vegetables, we take a look at what the Arsenal players have been up to in the Interlull. From Bukayo Saka scoring a goal to Riccardo Calafiori having lots of shots. We also chat about Martin Zubimendi and his interesting interview in the Guardian, before looking ahead to the 'Battle of Moustaches' as we take on Fulham next week, and the schedule in general with Premier League, the Champions League and the EFL Cup to contend with. We also answer listener questions about Gabriel Jesus and his role this season, striker alternatives to Viktor Gyokeres, which Arsenal player we'd like to get on the podcast, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. Southampton, Ipswich Town, and Leicester City have confirmed their spots in next season's EFL Championship following relegation from the Premier League. Crystal Palace and Newcastle have won the domestic cups, the FA Cup and EFL Cup, respectively. All that is left to hash out is who will be in which European Competitions next season. Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest all have a chance to qualify for the UCL. This makes the Chelsea trip to Nottingham Forest such an interesting match-up for the final round of games.
