AFC Bournemouth's recent record against Newcastle United has been remarkable, not losing in six games - some Mags even think the sequence of results is even conspiratorial! However the recent form of Eddie Howe's side has improved recently, rising to sixth in the Premier League, and with a keenness to ensure his side retain their momentum, the former Cherries gaffa will be wanting to end the Geordies sorry run with victory over Andoni Iraola's side. After Saturday's loss to Arsenal, Cherries are back under the lights against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night - a team who we feel are "gettable". Despite Bournemouth's terrible run, recent games have been better, however a spanner has recently been thrown into the works with the announcement of ANOTHER injury! Justin Kluivert's omission is bad timing for a side which is already threadbare, and with Thomas Frank looking to rejuvenate his own out-of-sorts Spurs side - Cherries fans' optimism levels for this match-up might now be somewhat diluted... On Saturday, AFC Bournemouth gave the champions elect Arsenal a bit of a scare on a freezing cold night at Dean Court - in a game which saw Cherries take the lead, lose control, concede three, but then give them a scare with a Kroupi wonderstrike. Alas, despite a last minute flurry, truncated by a referee keen to get back into the warm - it wasn't to be for the Chez - with midfield maestro Declan Rice stealing the show. Antoine Semenyo is set to be involved against Arsenal in a week-long Vitality Stadium swan-song, with Bournemouth's boss Andoni Iraola suggesting that the departing star will be utilised in Cherries next TWO games against the Gunners and Spurs. With Manchester City anticipating his arrival at the Etihad, the challenge will have been set by Pep Guardiola for Antoine to cause carnage on the South Coast before making the moving up North, this potentially having a major impact on the title race. The Gunners have been quality this season, but Boscombe - after doing the double over them last season, will want to continue the siege mentality - in one of the season's BIGGEST encounters so far! Sam and Tom are the QP to preview a HUGE game! "Together - Anything Is Possible" - but ARE we together? On Saturday, Bournemouth were TROUNCED by Brentford 4-1 at the GTech Community Stadium in a showing which raises the same old questions amongst Cherries fans. Burnley head to Bournemouth on Saturday looking to end their run of seven straight losses and we preview the pre-Christmas game from all angles. Plus the latest on ALK and season ticket prices and more.
Bournemouth have a clear policy of signing young talent, giving them Premier League experience, and profiting from their departure. Whilst this formula is admirable, it leads to high personnel turnover, an ever-changing and uncertain squad dynamic, the constant need to retrain new recruits, and it puts pressure on recruitment to get the right players in. With Marcos Senesi being the latest player to signal his intent to move, we ponder whether Bournemouth's transfer approach potentially needs more balance, which in turn would create a greater amount of stability amid a perceived player "exodus". Sam and Tom review AFC Bournemouth's unbelievable 4-4 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, before unpacking the rest of the week's Cherries news, including... ▪️ South Stand enabling works will be commencing at Vitality soon! ▪️ AFC Bournemouth women have got some HUGE games ahead! -▪️ Vitality will sponsor AFCB's kit from next season!
They say things come in threes, so with Bournemouth making the trip to Old Trafford in December for the third season on the trot, are Cherries fans expecting to witness ANOTHER humiliation for the Red Devils? The last couple of 3-0 scorelines at Old Trafford came at a time where Manchester United were finding their identity. Now under Ruben Amorim, we're yet to be convinced that they've totally found it, but the stats show that their form is better, their players are better, and their season is better - and they're up against an Andoni Iraola site that hasn't won a game since October. How will this unfold? Sam and Tom are the Queens Park to look forward to a MASSIVE Monday night football... Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. Chile's central valley is one of the world's most bountiful - blessed with rich soils and plentiful sunshine. Early in its history, Chile's agriculture sector was transformed by a wheat boom in the 1800s. Then those wheat markets dried up - sending the country into a prolonged period of economic and social turmoil. Over time, Chile recovered to become one of the world's top exporters of apples, blueberries, kiwifruits, plums and of course, cherries. In the race to decarbonize agriculture, the spotlight often falls on carbon sequestration, genetics, and alternative proteins. But have we overlooked something that's right in front of us? Electricity.Mike Casey is a self-described “tech bro turned farmer” from Cromwell, New Zealand. Mike runs what's believed to be the world's first fully electric farm, made up of 21 electric machines, from irrigation systems and frost-fighting fans, to electric tractors and forklifts. His business is aptly named Electric Cherries, where power is generated from renewable sources on-farm. Manchester City formally announced their intention to be part of this season's Premier League title race with a stunning showing against a brave Bournemouth at the Etihad on Sunday. An Erling Haaland brace, twinned with an excellent Nico O'Reilly strike ensured that Pep Guardiola's side went second in the top flight, just six points behind leaders Arsenal. Cherries were excellent for significant parts of the game, but City's Catalan controller flooded the midfield, deploying a high-risk and high reward tactic, which overpowered Iraola's charges in the middle of the pitch, leaving Haaland free to do what he does best. Despite the result, there is A LOT that AFCB can take from the performance, as Sam and Tom explain in this week's Second Look. This season, the conversations are all about Arsenal's aptitude, Liverpool's lull, brilliant Bournemouth, and sumptuous Sunderland - no one is talking about Manchester City, but whisper it, this is exactly what Pep Guardiola will be wanting... City are somewhat flying under the radar, and whilst the recent loss against Aston Villa will have been been disappointing, they are still in touching distance of leaders Arsenal - but whilst Erling Haaland is in the form of his life and players are coming back from injury, Pep's side somehow still seem to be the forgotten side in this season's absorbing Premier League campaign. AFC Bournemouth have NEVER won at the Etihad, and we've only taken a point against Manchester City away back in 1989. Plus, for most, if not all - of our visits, Cherries have always been below the Citizens in the table. This season though, Boscombe are second and City are fifth... What if actually win this? Is the gauge of where we are REALLY at and point to where we could possibly be? Sam and Tom are at the Queens Park and Q Sports Bar to preview Sunday's huge game! On Sunday, Match of the Day's Danny Murphy suggested that Cherries are most Premier League fans' second favourite team. After witnessing Andoni's men comprehensively beat Sean Dyche's Nottingham Forest in a 2-0 home win, the BBC pundit couldn't help but praise Bournemouth's ability to get results - pointing out their fluid football, full throttle pressing, and tenacious nature - exclaiming that they are "great to watch" and "playing with a freedom that excites everyone that watches". Whisper it, but AFC Bournemouth are becoming more clinical, scoring more goals from fewer chances - and with Junior Kroupi likely to deputise for the absent Evanilson again, all eyes will be on our French fox in the box ahead of Sunday's clash against Nottingham Forest. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest fans have endued a turbulent few months, with the departure of Nuno, and a quick "hi and goodbye" from Ange, but with Sean Dyche in charge of the Tricky Trees, new life has been injected into Forest's wayward season, and with a win under his belt already, a character building visit to Bournemouth may well be the kind of the clash that the former Burnley and Everton gaffa will be salivating over. Sam and Tom focus on all things Bournemouth and Forest in our preview. We are at Q Sports Bar in Boscombe to look forward to Sunday's clash. As the dedicated away fan pub, Q Sports is open to Forest fans before Sunday's game - but also to all Cherries during the week! They are located at 704-708 Christchurch Rd, Boscombe, BH7 6BY. The QP is the home of AFC Bournemouth fans on a Cherries match day and is open from 11am on match day with £350 to be won on the day by Cherries supporters. He unpacks his reaction to the news, and shares the latest updates on Wendy's strategy to avoid taking the fall. From there, he catches up on all the current Housewives shows, starting with the great Chin Check debacle in Potomac. Keiarna may not be memorable, but is she low-key having a good season? From there, Dylan digs into the drama on RHOSLC, where Whitney's hilling journey/wine tasting/psychic reading event delivered epic drama. He also weighs in on Todd's scenes with Bronwyn, and whether Britani is being sincere with her daughter. Later, he gets into some thoughts on the RHOC trip to Amsterdam, including those posts that Gretchen allegedly liked, and shares what's All The Rage, presented by Angry Orchard Hard Cider. On Saturday, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace fans witnessed an absorbing clash at Selhurst Park which has been lauded as the most exciting Premier League clash this season. It had it all - potential red cards, VAR checks, a penalty, a brace for starter Eli Kroupi, and a hattrick for Jean-Philippe Mateta. Cherries went top of the table during the game, but with the Eagles snatching a late draw, Iraola's men ended up in fourth - however, Liverpool's loss at home to Manchester United on the Sunday subsequently elevated Boscombe to third - what a rollercoaster!
