The Clarets are back in action against Bournemouth on Saturday and Scott Parker has been talking a lot about 'culture'. Daz and Bodes dissect the manager's comments and also react to Kyle Walker's announcement this week and speculation around Sean Dyche and Spurs.
On this week's episode, Mike and Dan reflect on the 0-0 draw away at Bournemouth, analyse the run-in looking at form teams and remaining fixtures, and look ahead to West Ham away in the fifth round of the FA Cup. There was little to say about Brentford's trip to the Vitality Stadium, other than it was a point gained after the Cherries missed several chances to win the game. We chat about the injury to Rico Henry, what that means, and why we looked a bit leggy. We also look at the impending run-in from our perspective and from the eyes of those around us, as well as having a chat about West Ham's recent revival under Nuno Espirito Santo. Bournemouth and Sunderland cancelled each other out at Vitality Stadium in a frustrating 1-1 draw that did little for either side's European ambitions. On a night where both teams showed flashes of quality, the game never truly found its rhythm — broken up by fouls, stoppages and a series of baffling refereeing decisions that left players, managers and supporters exasperated. Was it a tactical stalemate? Or did poor officiating rob the match of any real flow? We go over the weekend's action before previewing Cherries' BIG clash against the Bees. Our clashes against Brentford suggests recent history is not on our side. With an abysmal record against the West London. side, can the Andoni Iraola's side finally turn the tide, or will old habits die hard? In our preview, we break down Tuesday night's encounter, with one particular stat that should give Bournemouth fans heaps of hope! In this episode, Rosie Moss speaks with Natalie Dodds.Natalie is a mum of two who lost her partner, Dave, following a workplace crane collapse. She speaks with clear eyed honesty about parenting through shock, bureaucracy and the long tail of grief, while still finding ways to keep Dave's humour and presence alive at the family dinner table. We begin with life before. How Natalie and Dave met, built a home and became parents. Alongside that joy came an earlier rupture, the stillbirth of their daughter, Emily Daisy, at just over 38 weeks. Natalie shares the visceral reality of delivering on a main ward while hearing other babies cry, and the complex coexistence of grief and love that followed. In time, she volunteered with SANDS and welcomed two more children, carrying both loss and hope.At the heart of this conversation is the day of the accident. The unexpected paramedic call. The 126 mile drive. The 7pm news report confirming a crane collapse in Crewe. The moment “alive” became the only word that mattered. What followed was five weeks of ICU limbo. Sedation, ventilation, internal bleeding and sepsis. Dark humour. Small kindnesses from staff. Impossible choices about protecting children from trauma. Then the call no one survives hearing. There is absolutely nothing we can do. The kindest thing is to switch the machines off and let him die.Natalie speaks about what comes after the headline moment. The secondary losses that keep arriving. Mortgage threats. Next of kin complications. Institutions insisting on speaking to the person who has died. An 8.5 year wait for an inquest. The exhaustion of fighting systems that do not bend. She shares how she chose not to take her children into ICU, how she refused false promises, and how she found the words to tell them their dad was not coming home, while still getting them up for school the next morning.Eight and a half years later, the inquest brought answers about training failures and a wrong method statement, followed by the additional blow of hearing “not guilty.” Natalie reflects on the strange mixture of validation and devastation that comes with official findings that change nothing. This is a conversation about compounded grief. About loving someone who has died without freezing them in sainthood. About keeping Dave the man present through stories, laughter and everyday references. About maintaining a close bond with his family. About integrating a new partner into a home where Dave is still spoken about with love.It is also about resilience that does not look shiny. About coping strategies that sound small but keep you upright. Work routines. Blood pressure bingo. Cherries to stay awake on the motorway.Above all, it is about a woman doing the unthinkable and still showing up for her children.A powerful, unfiltered episode about loss, responsibility, anger, love and the long road towards something that resembles stability.

Is it a point gained or two points dropped? This week on The West Ham Breakdown, Cal and Jack dive deep into the tactical nuances of a game that was more than just a bore draw. They discuss why this performance was a symbol of West Ham's evolution from leaky to resolute and explore how the Hammers managed to completely neutralise one of the league's most aggressive pressing sides, limiting Bournemouth to the fewest high regains they've achieved so far in 2026. Cal and Jack break down how West Ham's rotations affected Bournemouth, highlighting Mads Hermansen's role in disrupting Bournemouth's man-to-man press, and how the midfield flexibility of Mateus Fernandes, Soungoutou Magassa and Tomáš Souček left the Cherries looking lost. These bite-sized episodes highlight practical insights from farmers and experts across the industry. We hope they're helpful and encouraging as you continue your farming journey. What makes husk cherries one of the most surprising—and delightful—novelty crops on the farm? In this Farm in Focus episode, Michael sits down again with Katie Baldwin and Amanda Merrow of Amber Waves Farm to talk about one of their favorite unconventional crops: husk cherries. Known for their tropical flavor, long shelf life, and enthusiastic customer response, husk cherries are a crop many farmers overlook—but shouldn't. Katie and Amanda break down everything from seed starting to trellising to harvest strategies, along with their best tips for selling, storing, and cooking with this fun fruit. Whether you're looking to diversify your market table or try something new in the garden, this episode offers accessible, practical insights for growing a crop that always sparks curiosity. In this episode, you'll hear about: Getting Started: • Why husk cherries are a novelty crop customers get excited about [2:14] • Their favorite varieties and what makes each unique [3:32] Growing Practices: • Seed starting tips and early care [4:10] • Fertility needs and trellising techniques that improve plant health [6:54] Flavor & Marketability: • How pricing reflects the labor involved in harvesting [13:30] • Why their long shelf life makes them a smart market crop [14:30] • Their signature "pineapple-grape" flavor profile [15:05] • Why families—and kids especially—love growing and harvesting them [16:43] Bio:Amber Waves began in 2008 when Amanda Merrow and Katie Baldwin met during a farm apprenticeship, sparking a friendship and a shared dream to feed their local community. A year later, they launched their farm on seven conserved acres behind the Amagansett Farmers Market, drawn to the land's unique coastal terroir, which inspired the name Amber Waves. In the early days, they personally connected with every visitor, cultivating a community that found comfort, inspiration, and empowerment through the farm. By 2016, with the support of dedicated locals and visionary women before them, Amanda and Katie secured ownership of the farmland and reunited it with the historic farmstand. Today, Amber Waves spans over 30 acres, operates a vibrant market and kitchen, and stands as a nationally recognized educational farm serving hundreds of families and visitors each year. Links:
This game depends on context. On the surface, a draw after taking the lead feels frustrating. Dig deeper, and it looks very different.Aston Villa went to one of the league's most awkward away grounds, against one of the form teams in the division, without their key midfield controllers. What followed was not control or fluency, but resilience.Villa started brightly, moved the ball well early, and took the lead through Rogers with a cracking finish that hinted at a comfortable afternoon. It didn't last. Bournemouth raised the tempo, flooded central areas, and turned the game into a sustained physical and tactical test.Without Kamara, McGinn, or Tielemans, Villa struggled to slow the game down. Possession became survival rather than dominance. Bournemouth piled on pressure, racked up shots, and forced Emi Martinez into a genuine man-of-the-match performance. This episode breaks down why the lack of midfield control was inevitable, why the goal conceded was frustrating but out of character for the defence in the game, and why Villa's ability to ride the storm says more about their season than the scoreline does. This was not pretty. It was not comfortable. AFC Bournemouth may have “only” drawn with Aston Villa on the scoreboard, but on the pitch this felt like a performance that said far more. In this match review, we break down a dominant display from the Cherries as Andoni Iraola's side controlled large spells of the game, pressed relentlessly, and limited a strong Villa team to very little. From the structure out of possession to the confidence in build-up, this was another example of Bournemouth looking well-drilled, fearless, and tactically mature. With rumours and discussions growing around Iraola's future, performances like this only strengthen the argument that the club should be moving quickly to secure his long-term commitment. This wasn't a smash-and-grab point — it was a statement showing how far this team has come. We'll analyse: ▪️ Why Bournemouth looked the sharper side throughout ▪️ How Iraola's tactics nullified Villa's threat ▪️ Key individual performances, including Rayan (obviously!) ▪️ What this result says about the manager's future and the direction of the club Learn more about your ad choices. A decent haul from Mike Hosking's cherry tree. Last year he was gifted a tree to ‘adopt' by the team at Electric Cherries – who run everything without the use of fossil fuels. The ‘Mike Hosking Tree' has now been harvested and six kilos of cherries are ready to be eaten. Founder Mike Casey told Mike Hosking that it's been a pretty rough season down in Central Otago, with a lot of wind, rain, and a lot of damaged cherries. But there's a consolation prize, he says, which is that prices have remained high since there's been much fewer cherries on the market. A big win away at Wolves, twinned with a relatively calm but purposeful transfer window, signalled that AFC Bournemouth might be "back". AFC Bournemouth turn their attention to Wolves next, but there's more to this fixture than just three points. In this video, we question why Rob Edwards made the bold decision to leave promotion-chasing Middlesbrough for a relegation battle at Wolves, and what that tells us about the scale of the challenge facing them right now. From a Cherries perspective, the timing couldn't be more interesting. Bournemouth come into the game with momentum, confidence, and growing excitement around the squad — not least the possibility of a first appearance for exciting new Brazilian signing Rayan. In what could have been easily explained as two games against superior opponents, Manchester United did not let their current league situation stop them from picking up two huge wins in their season. Back to back weekends, United faced City and Arsenal and won both matches. The second result saw the title chase between City and Arsenal tighten more, a gap now only four points. Liverpool fell to defeat again, this time away to Bournemouth. A last minute winner for the Cherries heaps even more pressure on Arne Slot and Co to find solutions to their problems. In this video, we break down Bournemouth's ambition to follow the Brighton recruitment model, but given our the evidence that high player turnover seems to result in a culture of impermanence and uncertainty, we ponder the type of signings Cherries might need in order to prevail - both this season, but also long term. Wolfie looks into the story regarding Moroccan Striker Youssef En-Nesyri! To Buy Wolfie A Coffee! Click Here: https://buymeacoffee.com/forestfantv The search for a new talisman at the City Ground has taken a frustrating turn as reports emerge that Youssef En-Nesyri—a player heavily linked with Forest just days ago—now reportedly favours a move to Everton. Despite initial claims that the 28-year-old was reluctant to move to the UK due to the "cold weather," concrete talks have allegedly opened for a loan deal with an option to buy at Goodison Park. Wolfie dives into whether this is a genuine "hijack" or if Forest simply hesitated too long on their four-man shortlist, allowing a Premier League rival to steal a march on the Moroccan international. In addition to the striker drama, Forest have reportedly turned their attention to the South Coast with an enquiry for Bournemouth's Marcus Tavernier. The versatile midfielder has long been admired for his Premier League experience, but a deal looks incredibly difficult to pull off this January. Bournemouth are currently grappling with their own injury crisis and have already sanctioned the sale of key players, meaning the Cherries are reportedly "resolute" in their stance that Tavernier is not for sale. With the January 31st deadline creeping closer, the pressure is mounting to find support for Igor Jesus, especially with the current injury situation. If the En-Nesyri deal is indeed dead, does the club pivot back to the "Marinakis Pipeline" for Mehdi Taremi, or is there a late surprise waiting in the wings? Drop your thoughts in the comments: are you fuming that En-Nesyri might choose Everton over us? Don't forget to like and subscribe for the latest NFFC news and match reactions! After Saturday's loss to Arsenal, Cherries are back under the lights against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night - a team who we feel are "gettable". Despite Bournemouth's terrible run, recent games have been better, however a spanner has recently been thrown into the works with the announcement of ANOTHER injury! Justin Kluivert's omission is bad timing for a side which is already threadbare, and with Thomas Frank looking to rejuvenate his own out-of-sorts Spurs side - Cherries fans' optimism levels for this match-up might now be somewhat diluted... On Saturday, AFC Bournemouth gave the champions elect Arsenal a bit of a scare on a freezing cold night at Dean Court - in a game which saw Cherries take the lead, lose control, concede three, but then give them a scare with a Kroupi wonderstrike. Alas, despite a last minute flurry, truncated by a referee keen to get back into the warm - it wasn't to be for the Chez - with midfield maestro Declan Rice stealing the show. Sam, Tom and Neil are at the New Inn in Poole to dissect an absorbing game under the lights. Antoine Semenyo is set to be involved against Arsenal in a week-long Vitality Stadium swan-song, with Bournemouth's boss Andoni Iraola suggesting that the departing star will be utilised in Cherries next TWO games against the Gunners and Spurs. With Manchester City anticipating his arrival at the Etihad, the challenge will have been set by Pep Guardiola for Antoine to cause carnage on the South Coast before making the moving up North, this potentially having a major impact on the title race. The Gunners have been quality this season, but Boscombe - after doing the double over them last season, will want to continue the siege mentality - in one of the season's BIGGEST encounters so far! Sam and Tom are the QP to preview a HUGE game! The QP is open from lunchtime on match-day, pints from £4, outdoor heaters, match day menu, children's play area, the £150 raffle (grab a ticket with every drink purchased). "Together - Anything Is Possible" - but ARE we together? On Saturday, Bournemouth were TROUNCED by Brentford 4-1 at the GTech Community Stadium in a showing which raises the same old questions amongst Cherries fans. Sam and Tom dissect the abysmal performance before contemplating the bigger picture - a club that are seeking togetherness whilst deploying transfer policy that creates an environment that appears so temporary. We are spending this holiday season together, when we eat roasted chicken, asparagus, and cherries jubilee before discussing The Holdovers (2023). Everything about this Christmas movie is spectacular. The writing, cinematography, acting, and music come together to create an honest, humorous, and emotional slice of life. It reminds us that the journeys in our lives are just as important as the destinations. Happy holidays to everyone.
Bournemouth have a clear policy of signing young talent, giving them Premier League experience, and profiting from their departure. Whilst this formula is admirable, it leads to high personnel turnover, an ever-changing and uncertain squad dynamic, the constant need to retrain new recruits, and it puts pressure on recruitment to get the right players in. With Marcos Senesi being the latest player to signal his intent to move, we ponder whether Bournemouth's transfer approach potentially needs more balance, which in turn would create a greater amount of stability amid a perceived player "exodus". Sam and Tom review AFC Bournemouth's unbelievable 4-4 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, before unpacking the rest of the week's Cherries news, including... ▪️ South Stand enabling works will be commencing at Vitality soon! ▪️ AFC Bournemouth women have got some HUGE games ahead! -▪️ Vitality will sponsor AFCB's kit from next season!
