In this week's podcast episode I'm sharing an interview with one of them, Heather Teague. Heather is just a year older than my eldest child, and I had the privilege of teaching her in what we Southern Baptists call GA's (Girls in Action). GA's is a great missions education program many of our churches still offer to young girls.I like to think that GA's had a big impact on Heather's life. Today she leads a ministry called His Heart for Africa in Jinja, Uganda. She is also starting her own podcast, Faith on Dirt Roads (https://www.faithondirtroads.com/). In August 1995, 23 year old Heather Teague went sunbathing on Newburgh beach in Henderson County, Kentucky. Then someone emerged from the woodland behind, pulled her up by her hair and threatened her with a gun, forcing her back into the trees. And wildly, this was all witnessed by a man and his telescope 25km away, in a different state.

"I can't describe what the look on her face did to me; it made me sick to my stomach. It was a look of sheer terror."On 26 August 1995, 23-year-old Heather Teague decided to sunbathe along the Kentucky side of the Ohio River, near Newbergh Beach. In this short episode, we hear the alleged recording of the 911 call that Tim Walthall made to police after he observed Heather Teague's abduction through his telescope August 26, 1995 while she was sunbathing. *Before listening to this please listen to The Abduction of Heather Teague: Interview with Sarah Teague Part 1 AND 2 so you know what we are referencing and all of the details. Sarah Teague said that this call you are hearing isn't the original call at all, rather, it is the 2nd 911 call. She said that when they first heard a recording of Tim Walthall's call that he mentioned that the person who approached Heather on Newburg beach that day was wearing a wig and mosquito netting... as you are going to hear in this recording, he doesn't say that at all. Now the KSP outright deny that there were ever two recordings and this one is the only one that existed. If that is the case, why was the family shown that recording in 2008? Heather Teague is missing and the police were confident they had their man. After a single gunshot was heard just after 1 AM, confronting Marty was no longer possible. On the afternoon of August 26, 1995, 23-year-old Heather Teague disappeared from Newburgh Beach in Henderson County, Kentucky. She was sunbathing on the beach next to the Ohio River when a witness saw a white man approach her. He allegedly grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into the woods.The police arrived shortly after and began to search the beach. They found a piece of Heather’s bathing suit but didn’t locate Heather. She has not been seen or heard from since.Heather’s mother Sarah has not given up on seeking justice for her daughter. In 2007 she had Heather legally declared dead so she could obtain the FBI’s records of the case.
