Had a ball this week on #NoSuggestionPod with our guest, the effervescent whirlwind of fun that is actor, athlete, and improv comedian, Julia Schroeder (@juliaeschroeder). Guest co-host Aston Hollins (@astonhollins) and I had a giddy, ugly time chatting with Julia about everything from the fraternal order of improv comedians, to her one-person character show, Changing Room, to her participation in our peer improv podcast, Sounds Funny Radio (@soundsfunnyradio), to our appreciation of PacSun. We also got some crazy improv comedy scenes in, including a scene about a group of scientists dealing with losing an important, irreplaceable specimen! This episode was a really good time, with positive vibes. We hope you enjoy getting to know Julia as much as we did! If you enjoy this episode please, rate and subscribe! We appreciate you!

Creating a community of raving fans is no easy task for brands and creators. That's probably why our insight-obsessed friends at Methods + Mastery recently published this incredible research report on The Secret Language of Fandoms, which deconstructs multiple examples of raving fan communities online, and identifies a core trend among fandoms: that they are built on, and held together by complex language. Join us for this special episode as we unpack the report and how to interpret audience data, with Breana Bacon and Julia Schroeder from the Methods + Mastery research team. you can learn more about their work at knoweldgedrops.mtehodsandmastery.com Be sure to read the full report if you want to learn how to speak fan. What does it look like to show up for ourselves and others, authentically? In this short-and-sweet first episode of 101 Ways of Being, Julia Schroeder ponders over these questions and more.

Rising tuition cost and insufficient “real world” education programs are frustrating to young adults in the U.S. who feel forced into traditional universities. A degree or accreditation is often used as a dangling carrot to lure potential students into high debt status. Non-traditional, creative career paths often take a back seat to traditional majors. Julia says CreateU is designed to teach the mindset of participation in our ever evolving, global world. Key Takeaways: [2:09] How do we empower creatives to be profitable? [4:05] CreateU is a fast track to learning with relevance to current funding sources [6:04] We teach the mindset, so individuals can participate in a global evolving world. [7:00] A 3-phase, 1-year online program within a global community [11:54] The initial sections are the most intensive, a course is required every day [13:38] A track/path is similar to a major in a traditional university [16:11] Accreditation programs will transition to move past the fear element [18:34] We are working on a global goal campaign with the UN [19:46] Our goal is to keep CreateU under 10K [20:26] We are taking 10% of tuitions and putting it towards a graduate fund for projects [21:01] Contacting CreateU [22:11] The .life extension just fit our ideals perfectly Mentions: CreateU Khan Academy The Foundation Integrative Nutrition
