Tonight, we take a look back at Newcastle's solid away win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League. The Magpies raced into a comfortable 3-0 lead by half-time and simply managed the game from there. It wasn't the most thrilling second half, but at this stage of the season, it's all about getting the job done and keeping that Champions League momentum going! We'll go over all the key talking points from the match and, as always, give you our player ratings.
Newcastle United continue their push for Champions League qualification as they travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City this Monday night. It's another massive fixture for the Magpies, and we're here to break it all down!Join us tonight as we preview the big game, looking ahead to what's at stake for both sides. Can Eddie Howe's men take another huge step toward a top-four finish? Will the injuries affect the starting XI? And how should we approach this one tactically? We'll be covering:
Leicester City's first team is not built for a long future together like the squads of many of their Premier League rivals, latest research suggests. Including loanees, 14 members of Ruud van Nistelrooy's squad see their contracts at the King Power Stadium expire within the next 18 months. Broken down further, the CIES Football Observatory have noted that only 55 per cent of City minutes this season have been played by those on contracts beyond the summer of 2026.So with relegation back to the championship all but confirmed, which may well come with a transfer embargo. we look at those players whose contracts expire in the summer, the ones we might sell, and which youth players returning from loans we want to see break through into the first team. #LCFC #LCWFC #premierleague #Leicester #Leicestercity #leicestercityfc #epl #foxes Hosted on Acast. Rob gives us the rundown of his experience in the away end in the East Midlands, before we move onto the match itself. There's an in-depth discussion on how this sterility and dullness is kind of what we have to expect without Bukayo Saka, before we discuss the performances of Raheem Sterling, Mikel Merino and, of course, Ethan Nwaneri. Arsenal's 2-0 grind at Leicester - survivalist masterpiece. It was about rewriting the rules of pragmatism under the flickering lights of a faltering conundrum. The crowd didn't just witness a football match; they saw a team morph into something raw and ruthlessly creative when Plan A dissolved into dust. Leicester's barely strangled Arsenal's attacking veins for 70 minutes - it was self-deficient and we needed a miracle - something. Then came the twist: Mikel Merino, a midfielder by trade, thrown on as a striker. Chaos theory in cleats. His two goals—a poacher's stab and a predatory redirect—weren't just goals; they were existential middle fingers to convention. Ethan Nwaneri, meanwhile, played without the comprehension of premier league pressure. Instead he decided “I'll take it from here.” The away fans? Architects of this chaos. Their roar after Merino's second goal didn't just rattle the King Power Stadium—it shook loose the cobwebs of Arsenal's hidden talents. Three points earned, not gifted. Not pretty, not polished, but necessary. Sometimes survival is the sharpest form of beauty. Strap in—we have a lot of fight with this team. The fire burns brighter than ever. Stoke it. C'mon Arsenal!

On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Leicester City fan Sam Martin and Arsenal fan Adam Pritchard to discuss the altest at their clubs - and they include some major concerns - ahead of Saturday's meeting at The King Power Stadium. It looks like it's down to a 4 team race to survive at the bottom of the table and hopes Leicester may have had of a resurgence after victory at Tottenham were dampen by a chastening 4-0 defeat at Everton. Do they have what it takes to survive? And can Arsenal chase down Liverpool's lead at the top? The task looks tougher now with Kai Havertz confirmed likely to miss the rest of the season and Arsenal's attack now looks stretched to the limit for availability. Plus there's FPL discussion with Arsenal's Ethna Nwaneri likely to catch attention at a bottom price of 4.5, could the Gunners defence suffer as a consequence of their injury problems and there is one Leicester asset likely to catch the attention of some Fantasy managers for Gameweek 26. Being back to just the two of us, we used this opportunity for a brief catch up on the latest happenings. Here, we will be discussing the first 2024/25 WSL game for the Foxes against Liverpool last weekend and will be looking towards this upcoming Sunday when Leicester's Women take on Arsenal in their first game back at home at the King Power Stadium since the summer. According to Sophie, nothing quite beats playing back at home in front of the own fans and this time, we'll have an extra special supporter in the stands watching very closely. A Sunday full of celebrations – a birthday party across the pond, a milestone recognition accompanied by a family reunion and a long-awaited home appearance back together with the Foxes fans.
Reaction and debate following Everton's 1-1 draw with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. A good solid performance from Everton resulted in them picking up their first point of the season. There were positives throughout, however, Leicester got themselves back in the game with the Blues relinquishing yet another lead. Ian Croll, Chris Beesley and Gav Buckland discuss whether it was one point gained or two points dropped. In other news, reports moved quickly today to reveal The Friedkin Group have agreed a deal to purchase a majority stake in Everton Football Club. The lads will discuss what this means as attention now turns to Crystal Palace at home this Saturday. Jarrad Branthwaite came through an U21s match on Sunday afternoon and could be in contention for a starting place in a match the Blues really must win.
