Send us a textWelcome to Safe Dividend Investing's Podcast # 251, on November 29th of 2025. My name is Ian Duncan MacDonald, and I am an author of six investment books. Today is a very quick podcast. I am trying to finish up my latest book before Christmas. It is called “Achieving Financial Independence From 180 High Dividend NYSE stocks - Analyzed and Scored”. Over the last 7 months It has taken up much more of my time than I had expected. However, the end is in sight, and I think it will be of great assistance to anyone trying to build a portfolio of financially strong, high dividend, income stocks.I did have time this week to watch a recent lecture by Warren Buffet on YouTube. It is not often you get insights into the pluses and minuses of bit coins, investment bubbles, and why value investing works, from an outstanding investor with 70 years of investment experience. I think anyone who listens to this video will come away as I did much wiser and better informed. The lecture has a terrible title to get your attention “Bitcoin is going to zero”. It was easily found on YouTube. I strongly recommend listening to it. Hopefully I will soon finish the job of launching my new 340-page book. My plan is to have a preliminary release of the book at a reduced price. If you wish to be informed of this preliminary release, please email me at imacd@informus.ca.This is Ian MacDonald hoping my 250 podcasts have motivated you to pursue financial independence as a self-directed investor. 1 Hour and 28 Minutes With David Nasternak and Alex Drain This Podcast Has a Sponsor: Michigan Law Grad Jonathan Paul is the guy with the C you want skating next to the ref and pleading your case. He's also a good guy to sit next to at the hockey games. Segment 1: Miscellaneous opening discussion. Not a great game for either goalie but Michigan made the biggest plays in the biggest moments to earn a win. Top line delivered in the 3rd period. A good hockey game all around Segment 2: Michigan caught flat footed by Wisconsin's aggressiveness. Penalty kill problems and goalie problems. Scored a shorthanded goal but never got back into the game. Goalie interference discussion. Too much physicality too late. Neither WMU nor Providence are looking great right now. MSU clearly outplayed PSU. Probably aiming for a split this weekend. Brief Spengler Cup talk. MUSIC NHL on ESPN Theme "Northern Lights" -- Kennie Ice Hockey (NES) theme

How will the Accademia Giallo crew spend Spooky Season? By digging into The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave, of course!(Or should we say, "of corpse"?)Emilio Miraglia's 1971 thriller stars Anthony Steffen as Lord Alan Cunningham, a rich, mentally unstable aristocrat obsessed with his beautiful, dead wife. After terrorizing exotic dancers and prostitutes, he settles down with Gladys (Marina Malfatti), whose wedded bliss is undone by apparitions and mysterious deaths around Alan's palatial estate. Has the late Evelyn returned from beyond to haunt her husband? Or is there something more sinister at play?In this spoilerific appreciation of a truly unique gialli, the roundtable dives into Miraglia's twisted and twisty tale--appreciating the kills and killer performances, and hotly debating an ending that knocked Evelyn down several notches in Ian's estimation! As part of Scare-a-Thon 2025, this episode will benefit the International Rescue Committee, so please share with your fiends and family--and get involved with IRC here!Support Kicking the Seat on Patreon, watch us on YouTube, and follow us at:XLetterboxdInstagramFacebookShow LinksWatch the The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave (1971) trailer.Support all of our terrifying teachers' axe-tracurricular activities!Stay studious with Aaron Christensen at Horror101 with Dr. AC!And subscribe to his YouTube channel! If you dare, venture down into Kitley's Krypt with Jon Kitley! It's been a busy week around here with the Oilers wrapping up their five-game road trip, and I've got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never ready to cover it all. On today's podcast, I talked about the Oilers' losing streak, Jake Walman's return, Isaac Howard's first NHL goal, and much more. After a run of three horrible (read: painful) losses in a row, the Oilers got themselves back into the win column on Tuesday night against the Senators. As much as it was nice to see the boys grab two points, I'd be lying if I said it would have been cool to see them get there without taking the hardest road possible. The good news is that Jake Walman made his return to the lineup in Detroit, and it didn't take him long to make an impact. Even with reduced minutes in his return, having Walman back felt right, given all the things he tends to do well. Not enough good news for you? Connor McDavid also scored last night in Detroit, proving that he does indeed still remember how to do that if any of you were concerned. Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a Righteous Sack Beating about player fines before wrapping up the podcast with another round of voicemails. The voicemail was quiet again this week, but the messages were still fun anyway. The voicemail is my favourite way to wrap up the show and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts. Another hearty thank you to everyone who contributed to this week's episode, because having all of you in the mix makes the show so much better.Want to leave a voicemail for next week's show? Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. fired all 17 members of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, accusing members of serving industry interests and never recommending against a vaccine. Their role, however, was advising on usage for vaccines that the FDA already approved.
