We're BACK! Sabina Graves (Gizmodo, This Means Podcast Producer) rejoins the podcast to discuss the latest and greatest with the Looney Tunes Franchise; including a re-cap of our trip to Six Flags: Fiesta Texas and the Vegas Philharmonic at the Smith Center to catch Bugs Bunny at the Symphony! The Looney Tunes are celebrating the Lunar New Year with a slew of merchandise that includes collaborations with brands from BOSS, UNIQLO, KOHL'S, UNIQUE VINTAGE, MOSCHINO, GAP, and SCOTCH & SODA just to name a few! This also allows for the brand to pump out new content such as this special Lunar New Year centric short from the team behind Bugs Bunny Builders where they teach kids the different aspects of the traditional Chinese celebrations such as the food, the parade and the reveal of the next animal. SCOPELY and Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem have new characters entering the fray with Lunar Bugs and Lunar Lola, both wearing traditional Lunar New Year symbols on their stylish wardrobes. In Looney Tunes News: Duck Dodgers: The complete Series is headed to Blu-Ray on March 28th! This will include a new remaster of the the classic Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese short that started it all, as well! TINY TOONS: TINY TOONS: LOONIVERSITY Will be Released on HBO MAX in 2023! THE OSCARS The Oscar Noms have been revealed and Brendan Fraser is among the leads for Best Male Lead for his role in The Whale! He was recently on The Drew Barrymore Show and brought up Looney Tunes Back in Action! He bragged about working with Bugs, called Daffy a jerk and even name dropped Bruce Lanoil who was the puppeteer for the on-set Bugs and Daffy! You can check out the full clip here: https://youtu.be/r1TiQGwYNIY?t=362 Or Check out the Instagram for a trimmed version. From one 'Looney Tunes' actor to the next: LeBron James has made NBA history this week by scoring at least 40 points against all 30 NBA teams! ALSO: The ANNIE NOMS Placed friend of the podcast Candi Milo (Granny, Witch Hazel) and Michael Ruocco (Storyboard Artist) on the top list for awards thanks to their work on HEX APPEAL! We are BREWING UP GOOD FORTUNE for the NOMINEES! SIX FLAGS: FIESTA TEXAS While the rides that weren't breaking down every 10 minutes were fun, there was so much that was a disappointment by our trip. - No Hot Chocolate Stands - No Popcorn - The Price of Carnival Games was Astronomical! We're talking $15 a throw! - The Batman Ride continuously broke down. - The Holiday in the Park was advertised to continue through the Holiday Season and yet everything for it pretty much ended on the 23rd. LAME! - The Soda Machines were broken. The food was small compared to it's price and to top it all off; My Mother was cold! While the park activities left a bad taste in our mouths, we did see some wonderful friends and the merchandise was out of this world! The trip to Vegas to catch Bugs Bunny At the Symphony! George Daugherty and the entire Vegas Philharmonic made up for the prior week's disappointments! You can check out the entire interview on the YouTube page or listen to that podcast next! It was a beautiful concert and the visceral experience of seeing these cartoons played live is absolutely a MUST for any Animation fan! Happy Halloween from your friends at the Daydreamcast! Timely as ever, despite our one week break, we indulge in seasonal musings as we explore the philosophy of modern horror games, the horrors of being a completionist, as well as the most horrific creature known to man: the Pac-Man reimagining from Pac-Man & his Ghostly Adventures. We refuse to move on, however, before tackling the real reason for the season: more F2P gacha games! Please pray for Brogan's recuperation, but not until listening to our deep dive on the daddy of modern stealth games, Thief: The Dark Project. Thief focuses on providing the player with a toolset within a rule set and going: "Your move", pioneering emergent gameplay and many more staples of the stealth genre we take for granted now. Complete with a dense atmosphere, an amalgamation of medieval and steampunk, and that Y2K edge™, the game warrants (and rewards) thorough re-examination. Halloween Vile wishes you and your family blessed holidays. In this week's episode, Dave Lee (Youtube.com/daveleedownunder) joins in the fun to discuss the recent "contwoversy" surrounding the NO GUN policy within the Looney Tunes Cartoons. Plus, we take a look into an episode of the new series featuring Elmer Fudd without a gun, Sylvester and Tweety on Ice and a Road-Runner short to review just how brilliant it is. These are the episodes we watched from The Looney Tunes Cartoons! (Pain in the Ice, Tunnel Vision, Pool Bunny) We also discuss the latest character reveal in the Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem game, Revenant Road-Runner!Looney Tunes Cartoons Controversy: No Guns! This news has taken the nation by storm, even though it really shouldn't have as there are many, many more pressing issues to be concerned about. But Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam will not be sporting their fire arms in this new series and I, for one and perfectly ok with that.Pain in the Ice - Tweety and Sylvester are at it again and this time, it's on ice. The gags and execution here are strong and quick leading to many memorable moments and surprises. I really enjoyed the character work in this and the way the team utilized the setting to its full potential. Starring Tweety (Eric Bauza), Sylvester the Cat (Jeff Bergman) and Granny (Candi Milo).3.5/5 Carrots! Tunnel Vision - A Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner short based around the classic gag of painting a road on the side of a rock. The water color backgrounds and amazing animation of its central characters stand out strong in this outing, but it's the creative spin they put on the gag that make it stand a cut above. 3/5 Carrots! Pool Bunny - When Bugs Bunny (Eric Bauza) travels to the desert during a heat wave, its Elmer Fudd's (Jeff Bergman) pool that becomes the prime vacationing location. The two have such grand chemistry and the way the comedy just rolls off of their vitriol is palpable. The gags come fast and furious and each one elevates the picture as a whole. BRING THE KIDS! "Of Course You Realize... You know." 4.5/5 Carrots Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem New:Revenant Road Runner!ACME Commercial: ACME Drinking Fountain!Did you agree or disagree about the gun policy in place? Does this tarnish any part of Elmer Fudd or Yosemite Sam for you? Do you have HBO MAX?
