Our Co-host today grabs the torch of uplifting our experiences in relationships and talks about her own personal journey through experiencing abusive relationships. She talks about how her blog transformed her own healing experience plus speaks to how we crave attention and how this leads to controlling traits. Are we really too Co-dependant on one anothing in same ways and not enough in other ways? Tune in now to hear what Melanie and Mahatma have to say. Find out more about the hosts below Meet the CO-host Melanie Gibson began taekwondo training at age ten. At age twelve she stopped taekwondo to pursue other interests, and resumed training in her early thirties. Although Melanie had academic and career achievements throughout her life, she struggled with mental illness and low self-esteem. After making some progress through psychiatric treatment and counseling, she knew she needed to do something more substantial to make lasting changes. Returning to taekwondo had always been in the back of her mind, and the timing was right. Taekwondo proved to be not only an opportunity to re-learn a beloved skill from her childhood, but also a means to build her self-esteem and confidence, and heal from old wounds. It brought a needed excitement and purpose to her life, which she shares in her blog Little Black Belt (http://littleblackbelt.com). While continuing to work at her full-time job, Melanie dedicated herself to taekwondo training and earned her first degree black belt in 2015. In 2017, she earned her second degree black belt. Although a pandemic and knee injury sidelined her training in 2020, Melanie plans to return to taekwondo and test for her third degree black belt. We back to the Heavyweights this weekend, with 'UFC on ESPN+ 44' where the big men anchor the card! Before that though, we have some interesting things happening. Like the unbeaten Ramazan Kuramagomedov makes his debut against the grizzled vet, Alex Oliveira. We have a couple of rematches on the card. One nearly four years in the making, when Angela Hill & Ashley Yoder get to it. And the other, is Pedro Munhoz vs Jimmie Rivera which will be nearly seven years from the first throw down. Alexis Davis is walking into a HUGE fight, as it's her first back since the baby AND, she REALLY wants to break her recent streak. However, she's going against the 'Colombian Queen' Sabina Mazo who might be one of the most slept on athletes in the women's division!! Our Co-main has Magomed Ankalaev who has looked pretty sensational since the hiccup of his debut. He's going against Nikita Krylov who looked great in his last fight and wants to get back into the mix of things! AND, the Main, you have to wonder, will the winner of Jairzinho Rozenstruik & Ciryl Gane be setting themselves up for a fight against Derrick Lewis!?! So, let's preview the upcoming action with today's (ep 150) @ChinCheckPod - UFC on ESPN+ 44: Rozenstruik vs Gane *(Music) 'Relax and Take Notes' (feat. The Notorious B.I.G. & Project Pat) by 8Ball & MJG - 2007

'UFC on ESPN+ 43' is an interesting card, it's showcasing more of the new breed, the up and comers of the UFC And we could also be seeing some potential changing of the guard situations. The first fight on the card is compelling, as Jared Vanderaa called for this fight against Sergey Spivak with his win on the 'Dana Whites Contender Series'. The first of our old skool vs new is the return of Eddie Wineland looking to wash off that last bout against John Castañeda. In the next we have the pitbull, Andrei Arlovski who's really changed his style to increase that longevity. But he's going up against the young, fast up & comer Tom Aspinall. And the last sees Alexey Oleinik who can seemingly strangle anyone from anywhere. But he's facing the light & fast Chris Daukaus. Our Co-main is Ketlen Vieira against Yana Kunitskaya. AND, the Main is a fight that's been brewing for a while! Curtis Blaydes vs Derrick Lewis is a question of, can Blaydes take and hold down the Black Beast. And if he can't, will BB land one of those bricks and blunt that razor? So, let's preview the upcoming action with today's (ep 150) @ChinCheckPod - UFC on ESPN+ 43: Blaydes vs Lewis *(Music) 'Alright' (feat. Big Gipp) by JT Money - 1999

We have another packed weekend of action, MMA and Grappling. 'UFC 256' kicks things off with their penultimate card of the year. A bunch of great fights, Kevin Holland is back and he still gets a tough fight in Ronaldo Souza. Our Co-main gives us two questions, is Charles Oliveira ready for this level and is Tony Ferguson still hungry, still dangerous. Then the Main event sees Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno in the fast ever title turn around in UFC history. We then get the final 'Submission Underground' card of the year, with 'SUG 19' Chael Sonnen has lined up a great line-up, headlined by Satoshi Ishii, who challenges Mason Fowler for the strap! So, let's preview the upcoming action with today's (ep. 120) @ChinCheckPod - UFC 256: Figueiredo vs. Moreno - Submission Underground 19 *(Music) 'Tempo' (feat. Missy Elliott) by Lizzo - 2019
Compassion and empathy are on short supply in today's climate. This year has put us all to the test in trying to understand one another when approaching different sides of a topic, or putting it simply, just to be a good friend. We are all going through something! So how do we cope and be there to support one another when all the expert opinions tell us that a strong support system is needed to get through these tough waters of social isolation. Our Co-host today gives us his take on how he stays present for others and ways that he's able to refill his well to avoid burn out. On this episode we go deep again. Oh Black Church...Where art thou? is November’s podcast for Real Talk: Black Minds Matter. Historically, our churches have been the cornerstone of the black community for everything from the civil rights movement to public health awareness (i.e. Red Dress Sunday). It has been said that black people are more likely to look to their Pastor for advice, counseling, and political commentary as it relates to these challenging times. Our Co-hosts Andrea Brown and Nia Jones are joined by Rev. Bryce Jones, Co-Pastor and BMHA Chaplain. This episode discusses the importance of collaboration and the absence of such between mental health professionals and spiritual leaders as we understand the REAL strengths and limitations of the faith community as it relates to Black mental health.Links/Information discussed in this episode:Hood Feminism (Book):https://www.amazon.com/Hood-Feminism-Notes-Movement-Forgot/dp/0525560548 Reading While Black (Book):https://www.amazon.com/Reading-While-Black-American-Interpretation/dp/083085486X How can you get involved?Join the BMHA Social Media Community https://www.facebook.com/blackmindsmatter1 , subscribe on YouTube at Black Mental Health Alliance, and follow us on Instagram at @black_minds_matter_ and @youngblkmindsmatterBMHA membership offers an opportunity to connect with a premiere mental health organization of clinicians, educators, researchers and change agents all focused on emotional healing and whole health for the global Black community. We sit down with Gail Maderis, Dr. Odette Harris, Glo Harris, Julia Collins, and Julie Wainwright to hear how they prevailed against adversity, were fueled by their setbacks and answer the question: why are women harsher critics of ourselves than our male counterparts?Hosted by Nina Kjellson, WoVen : Women Who Venture is a podcast from Canaan and Edit Audio Inc. that represents a platform, a community and really a celebration of venturesome and adventurous women in healthcare, tech and business.

“Is it OK if I sell this property?” A liquidator of a Co sought Court directions relating to a possible property sale. In 2002, an ABN was obtained for Trust 1. It appeared there was no trust deed for Trust 1. In 2014, Trust 2 was settled. Our Co was trustee. Bank accounts were opened. High value transactions followed. In 2015, property was purchased in the name of the “the Co as trustee for Trust 1” i.e. the 2002 trust, not the 2014 trust: [7]. It appeared likely the money to fund the purchase came from the Co’s Trust 2 bank account. The Co kept inadequate financial records: [14]. It was unclear whether the Co bought the property in its own capacity, for Trust 1, or Trust 2: [15]. There was a chance of there being a trust deed for Trust 1 with an ipso facto clause; removing the Co in the case of a liquidator being appointed. With no deed found, it was appropriate for the Court to give directions to the liquidator: [20]. With no trust deed (and no ipso facto clause) the Co’s liquidation does not affect its trustee status: [23]. The Court worked through the evidence and declared the Co trustee of Trust 1, paving the way for a sale: [24], [25].
The tables are turned on this week's episode, with Frank Konsella becoming the interviewee rather than the interviewer. We start off talking about where I grew up, in the foothills above Golden, CO. Like many of my guests, I grew up ski racing at Winter Park, so when it came time to find a place to live, I naturally chose somewhere with great skiing- Crested Butte. Skiing has always been a big part of my life, so of course we talk about all the layers of skiing that I've been involved with- from competing in Big Mountain events, to skiing all of Colorado's Fourteeners, to writing a backcountry guidebook along with Brittany Konsella. We finished up the interview talking (not surprisingly) about real estate. So if you've always wanted to know more about me- this is your chance. Subscribe to the podcast. When we talk about trafficking, most people assume we are just talking about sex trafficking. The story goes so much deeper, it is an industry impacting millions of innocent lives. Human Trafficking is highly profitable generating hundreds of millions of dollars – for individuals, organizations and even governments in some cases. Countries like the Philippines, Brazil, Thailand and some of the wealthy Arab countries, but also in the United States and Europe. There are actually more people enslaved through labor trafficking than we can imagine. We are talking about MILLIONS of people who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Impoverished communities, migrant workers and children: all at risk for indentured servitude, forced labor, sex exploitation and other forms of labor trafficking. Human lives being brought to be sold, a commodity that will never be outdated, or expired as long as there are no governments working on protecting its people and everybody is subject to Human Trafficking by all means. And in some cases the government itself is trading these lives, like Qatar where the World Cup in 2022 will be held, this event has led to such a large increase in forced labor that an estimated 4,000 workers will die during preparations only.
