Ryan Frederick is back from his trip to Austin for UFC Fight and joins co-host Paul Fontaine to recap the week that was and is to come in the world of MMA. It was a busy week with PFL back running along with the Ultimate Fighter and even an upcoming Bellator show and the guys review and preview all of that before getting into a great show this past week at the new Moody Center in Austin. The show featured 9 finishes, which tied a UFC record, and a really good main event between top featherweight contenders Josh Emmett and Calvin Kattar where Emmett eeked out a split decision win. They then go over this upcoming weekend's card from the Apex with a high level lightweight fight in the main event between Mateusz Gamrot and Armen Tsurakyan and a bunch of other fights filling out the card. It's a light news week but there was a focus on the bantamweight division with a title fight booked for September and everyone in the top 10 being recently booked for fights. They also talk the retirements of Zabit, Eddie Wineland and much more in a jam packed episode of In the Clinch! The Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast is back with Episode 55 featuring not one, but two guests as the title spoiled for you. This could not have come together any better than it did. This episode was almost filmed 10 years to the day of UFC on FX 3, which happened to be the first UFC event that I ever attended. It was an immediate love for live sports and the first day I had met any fighter, being Ian McCall. Wineland called into the show on whim and it really just turned into something more amazing than previous interviews. This episode is not a showcase or breakdown of Eddie's next fight on June 18. It was a introspective journey into the career paths of two different fighters who seem to have the same mindset and that is an amazing thing to watch unfold on screen. McCall, no longer Uncle Creepy, talks about how different his life would have been had he won the title that night against Mighty Mouse. (Spoiler, it's not a happy path). Wineland talks about whether or not he still thought he'd be fighting in the UFC 10 years later, let alone getting a brand new four fight contract this year to continue to compete on the worlds' grandest stage. McCall and Wineland really dive deep and explore life, psychedelic's, careers and what life after fighting has meant and will mean, respectively for each of them. Take some time and really have fun with this one and realize that you may get more out of it than you think. Of course, there are some fun stories peppered in here as well as well as some fun facts! Enjoy! Don't forget to head over to the BRAND NEW https://www.quigginoutpodcast.com/ for all things Quiggin Out! The Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast is back with Episode 53 featuring BKFC standout Tom "A Gentleman Of Violence" Shoaff and not one, but TWO special guests! Shoaff is fresh off his dominant victory at BKFC FT LAUDERDALE against Bruce Lutchmedial and for being in a BKFC fight, Shoaff is wearing it well. Shoaff discusses, while at his OWN celebration party held by none other than the 'Bad Boy' himself, Leonard Garcia, his new training regiment, new mindset and how a fight with Chad "Money" Mendes needs to happen. Since this episode was filmed prior to BKFC 24, Shoaff also accurately predicted the winner of Hunt vs. Riggs and we about lost our minds when we found out those men are not only the same age, but about 2 weeks apart. This episode was lot of fun and got even more interesting when ANOTHER surprise guest was ready to hop on, UFC bantamweight Eddie Wineland. Enjoy! Wineland makes his first solo appearance on the show after the Mustache Mafia took over in episode 19. Strap in folks because this one will hit home with so many people. In this episode, Wineland and I discussed his tenured career not only as a fighter, but as a firefighter, father, and husband too. Wineland is a character and shows that he is not only in great spirits after a loss, but that his priorities are in order when it comes to his life. There's even a surprise guest and some talk about Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Things got intense when Wineland decided to throw me for a loop about halfway through the episode when I asked him what he wanted to talk about and his answer... surprised me and I promise will surprise everyone who tunes in. Zane Simon & Eddie Mercado are back this weekend to breakdown the ‘UFC VEGAS 19’ event. The guys will have hot takes, possible next fights, as well as reactions to the overall event. Sign up for #ESPN+ and watch #UFCVEGAS19: #BLAYDESvsLEWIS — FEB 20th., 2021 at: http://go.web.plus.espn.com/c/482924/566982/9070?sharedid=BloodyElbow #UFCAPEX Tonight, Saturday, February 20th., 2021, in the main event of UFC VEGAS 19, we had ‘The Black Beast’, Derrick Lewis, with a remarkable 24-7 record, return to the octagon after a six month break from UFC action to take on Curtis ‘Razor’ Blaydes, with his impressive 14-2 record. These two Heavyweight contenders were set to do battle back in November, but a positive COVID-19 test at the last second removed Curtis Blaydes. Tonight the Beast basically ended him with a gnarly uppercut KO that put him to sleep, thus keeping his pre-fight promise to violently stop him. In the co-main event, we had a ladies Bantamweight clash between the vicious Russian vixen, ‘Foxy’ Yana Kunitskaya (Яна Куницкая), who entered the octagon with a 13-5 record vs. Brazilian brawler Ketlen ‘Fenômeno’ Vieira, with her 11-1 record... the competitive Russian striker won via Decision from her back, after a very active fight. Overall, this whittled down 12-bout card saw four swift finishes take place in Round 1, one sub, seven exciting KO/TKO - including our Main event, and four decisions. Rounding things out, bonuses for putting forth POTN efforts went to Derrick Lewis, Tom Aspinall, Chris Daukaus and Aimann Zahabi; FOTN honors went to no one, surprisingly. What a night of fights we have to share with you! Also on the card, we had an exciting bout between rising prospect Chris Daukaus and Heavyweight veteran Aleksei Oleinik, which ended via TKO-punches in the first round. The dominant Daukaus was coming at this on a three-fight winning streak, having defeated the likes of Nascimento, Porter and Holmes. While ‘The Boa Constrictor’ was coming off a loss to one of our headliners, Derrick Lewis, just this past August, 2020. As if that’s not enough, we also had an exciting match-up on the prelims card where Julian Erosa collapsed Nate Landwehr with a first-round flying knee. Join us to discuss all the action... Zane Simon & Connor Ruebusch are back with the MMA Vivisection PRELIMS SHOW, breaking down a set of nine bouts on the 15-bout UFC VEGAS 19: 'Blaydes vs 'Lewis' Preliminary Card. "The UFC has a lot of fighters signed that need fights and by god they’re all fighting this Saturday night in Las Vegas. A 15-bout Fight Night, featuring a bunch of bouts that were supposed to happen last year before injuries, travel restrictions, and #COVID infections got in the way. The whole thing is headlined by a quality scrap between Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis. After that, notoriety takes a sharp decline." - Zane Simon For those fans who wish to dive deeper into the MAIN CARD, check out that version of the MMA Vivi which airs at 2pm Central today, Thurs., February 18th., 2021, right here on our YT channel. 'UFC on ESPN+ 43' is an interesting card, it's showcasing more of the new breed, the up and comers of the UFC And we could also be seeing some potential changing of the guard situations. The first fight on the card is compelling, as Jared Vanderaa called for this fight against Sergey Spivak with his win on the 'Dana Whites Contender Series'. The first of our old skool vs new is the return of Eddie Wineland looking to wash off that last bout against John Castañeda. In the next we have the pitbull, Andrei Arlovski who's really changed his style to increase that longevity. But he's going up against the young, fast up & comer Tom Aspinall. And the last sees Alexey Oleinik who can seemingly strangle anyone from anywhere. But he's facing the light & fast Chris Daukaus. Our Co-main is Ketlen Vieira against Yana Kunitskaya. AND, the Main is a fight that's been brewing for a while! Curtis Blaydes vs Derrick Lewis is a question of, can Blaydes take and hold down the Black Beast. And if he can't, will BB land one of those bricks and blunt that razor? So, let's preview the upcoming action with today's (ep 150) @ChinCheckPod - UFC on ESPN+ 43: Blaydes vs Lewis *(Music) 'Alright' (feat. Big Gipp) by JT Money - 1999

Curtis Blaydes is on a quest for the UFC Heavyweight Championship, but standing in his way is chief party pooper Derrick Lewis. Both of these guys are true MMA heavyweights. They've got power in their hands but Blaydes will be looking for that takedown as often as possible. Lewis will have a puncher's chance but at the end of the day, it will be his own undoing if he finds himself on his back too early. For two weeks in a row, Women's MMA got another featured bout in the co-main event slot of a UFC main card. This week, the featured UFC bout showcases Ketlen Vieira and Yana Kunitskaya, two hungry UFC bantamweight's looking to get into the UFC title picture. The rest of the main card features some big boys, with 6 UFC heavyweights hitting the Octagon for the main card. Tune in for another great podcast from The Complete Sports and Media Coverage team. Today we are featuring a great conversation with a veteran of the combat sports world Stephane Cappellini. Capo has competed in combat sports and worked with his local athletic commission to help put on events. We have a short introduction to the show as we start talking about the UFC. After the pandemic hit North America and postponed and cancelled events the UFC was able to eventually return. We began talking about the events in Florida and Las Vegas after the sport had returned with no fans. We all have been missing live sports and with hard work the UFC has started to fill that void. We introduced Stephane and welcomed him to the show. Our conversation started by speaking about the difference we noticed with no fans in the stands at these latest live event fight cards. We briefly discussed the rumors of Mike Tyson fighting Shannon Briggs or Evander Holyfield. The focus quickly shifted back to the UFC and the latest pay per view UFC 250 and the main event featuring Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer. After a brief discussion about the dominant performance by Nunes we shifted into discussing the other fights on the card. We began to specifically speak about the bantamweight fights beginning with Cody Garbrandt and his big knockout victory over Raphael Assuncao. Stephane mentioned Garbrandts jujitsu coach Ricardo Almeida and we brought up his new Striking coach Mark Henry and his original team Team Alpha Male. Sticking with the bantamweights we marveled at the submission victory by Aljimain Sterling over Cory Sandhagen. Then transitioned into talking about the big knockout win by Sean OMalley over Eddie Wineland. To cap off UFC 250 we talked about Cody Stamman and his win with a heavy heart after his 18 year old brother had passed away recently. We then turned our attention to the latest fight announcement of the card for UFC 251, It was revealed just hours before our conversation that the card would take place on Yas Island called "Fight Island" in Abu Dhabi on July 11th. This card is scheduled to feature three world title matches. We started by talking about the Title fight in the Bantamweight division between Petr Yan and Jose Aldo. The belt is on the line because of the retirement of Henry Cejudo and so the title was vacated. The Main event of UFC 251 features the Champion Kamara Usman defending his belt against Gilbert Burns. We discussed some of Burns last fights and the merits of his title shot. We shifted to the third title fight on the card that would see a rematch between Featherweight Champion Alexandre Volkanovski vs Max Holloway. Volkanovski took the belt from Holloway on December 14, 2019 by unanimous decision. Stephane questioned how Holloway could comeback in such a relatively short time and get a victory and getting beaten quite badly the in first match. Our great conversation was concluded with some discussion on the recent announcement of Georges St Pierre getting nominated for the UFC Hall Of Fame. It was a great breakdown from one of our favorite analysts and we look forward to many more discussions in the future. I hope that you enjoy this Podcast outtake and hit the like button and subscribe to our channel and insert our podcast into your life. Take care and all the best. Bye for now

The UFC showcased a headliner featuring a Women’s Featherweight World Championship Bout with the Current Best Pound For Pound Female MMA Fighter, Amanda ‘The Lioness’ Nunes, defending her title at UFC 250 in the Main Event TONIGHT (Sat., June 6, 2020) from inside the brand new UFC APEX Fight Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The contender was Felicia ‘Feenom’ Spencer, who entered the octagon having last defeated Zarah Fairn at UFC on ESPN+ 27 back in February of this year, fighting out of Orlando, Florida, with a 8-1 fight record going up against Nunes’ unprecedented ten-fight win streak, having last defeated Germaine de Randamie at UFC 245 back in Dec. 2019, with a current 19-4 record. Also on the card, was a highly-anticipated Bantamweight scrap, which many felt should have been the co-main event. It was a battle between the current #2 best MMA Bantamweight Fighter, Aljamain ‘Funk Master’ Sterling against the #4 best in Cory Sandhagen; the actual co-main was also a Bantamweight bout but between the #6 & #7 ranked Raphael Assunção and Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt... what a fun night of fights we had to look forward to! During the entire five-fight main card portion of UFC 250, throughout the telecast, SBN MMA's Matt Ryan, engaged with the live chat whenever possible. Along with his co-host Harry Terjanian, we provided a radio-style play-by-play broadcast of every single important bit of violence. In the main event between Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer, Nunes outclassed her opponent en route to an easy decision victory. In the co-main event featuring a bantamweight clash between Cody Garbrandt and Raphael Assuncao, the former champion looked measured and smart until he scored a vicious walkoff KO at the buzzer of round 2. The feature fight between Aljamain Sterling and Cory Sandhagen didn't last long as Sterling scored a dominant and early first-round rear naked choke submission victory. Elsewhere on the main card, Neil Magny scored a workmanlike decision over Anthony Rocco Martin and Sean O'Malley scored a first-round one-punch walkoff knockout (KO) over longtime veteran Eddie Wineland. On the preliminary portion of the card, Alex Caceres outclassed Chase Hooper, Ian Heinisch quickly dispatched Gerald Meerschart, Cody Stamann scored a hard-fought decision victory over Brian Kelleher, Herbert Burns quickly submitted Evan Dunham, Maki Pitolo TKO'd Charles Byrd and much more.
