"Home Exchange in France: Real Experiences & Secrets to Affordable Travel" – Ever wish you could explore France without breaking the bank? In this episode of Join Us in France, host Annie Sargent talks with Mali Arnstad, a home exchange expert with 14 years of experience swapping homes across France and beyond. Together, they reveal how you can travel for free—yes, free—by staying in local homes, borrowing cars, and even pet-sitting. This isn't just theory; it's packed with real stories, practical tips, and a few surprises from Annie's own recent home exchange adventures in Poitiers, Rouen, Paris, and Vichy. Listen to this episode ad-free Mali Arnstad, a mom of three from Norway, shares how her family has swapped homes in Brittany, Paris, Bordeaux, and the sun-soaked Atlantic coast. She breaks down the two main types of exchanges: simultaneous swaps (you stay in their home while they stay in yours) and the guest points system (earn credits by hosting others). Annie adds her fresh perspective after testing it herself—some stays were fantastic, others… well, let's just say she learned the hard way why you should always check the amenities. (Spoiler: One Parisian apartment had a "no washing machine" rule that wasn't in the listing!) You'll discover how to find trustworthy swaps, what to expect when staying in someone else's home, and why this is the ultimate way to experience France like a local. Mali's hosts have sent her to hidden beaches, night picnics by Roman bridges, and flea markets only locals know about. Want to save thousands on accommodation? Mali explains how to list your home, what to include in your profile, and how to avoid common pitfalls. Annie's tip? Expand your search beyond big cities. Some of the best swaps are in smaller towns or departments like Vienne (for Poitiers) or Allier (for Vichy). And yes, you can even swap cars! Mali's family has driven French cars through Brittany and parked in private driveways in Montpellier. This episode is your guide to traveling France smarter, deeper, and cheaper. Whether you're a solo traveler, a family, or a retiree, home exchange could be your ticket to unforgettable trips. So if you've ever dreamed of sipping wine on a Parisian balcony or biking to Les Dunes du Pilat—without the hotel bill—this is for you. HUGE BLACK FRIDAY SALE | All masterclasses 50% off! Subliminals 3 for 1! FREE month in the Book Club B*tches! This week we're talking about living your future, dream life right now, Wintering, snow days, and… my 2026 surgery goals (yes, the tits are coming). But the heart of this episode comes from an amazing question I was asked by a woman in the audience at my Birmingham event:“When you're stuck between two decisions and you can't choose… what do you do?”Because this kind of stuckness, deliberating, debating, thinking in circles energy? It is a HUGE energy leak & we've all been there.Do I stay in this job or leave?Do I move city or stay put?Is this relationship right? What is the “right” next chapter? That stuck energy can absolutely paralyse you.THE TWO-PART SOLUTIONPART ONE: Bring the focus back to YOUWhen you don't know the big answer yet, redirect the energy. You might not know:Where you want to live…but you know you want to feel healthier and more grounded. What your dream job is…but you know you want more fun, more joy, more friends, more life.Who your future husband is…but you know you want your home to feel beautiful, peaceful, organised. So start there.Start with what you do know.Pour your energy into strengthening YOU instead of obsessing over the decision.PART TWO: What do you actually want from the change?Instead of obsessing over the label (“new job,” “new city,” “new partner”), ask:How would my daily or weekly life actually change?Would you dress differently?Would your routine be different?Would you socialise in different places or with different people?Would you walk more?Go to the gym?Work around others instead of alone?Say yes to more invitations? And then ask the golden question:What elements of that dream life can I have RIGHT NOW, where I am?THE TWO RESULTS1️⃣ You start LIVING your future life now which attracts more of itYou can't manifest a joyful, full, creative, connected, healthy life while living like a drained shell of yourself waiting for a sign.Manifestation requires ACTION and (yes) a bit of delulu energy.2️⃣ You realise you can experience so many parts of your dream life in your CURRENT realitySuddenly the “big decision” matters less.Because you're already building a life that feels good now.Live the life you want before it arrives - and you'll be shocked at how fast it finds you.Thank you so much for listening, find me on the gram @francescaamber & @lawofattractionchangedmylife Get your 2026 goal setting tickets!See you next week, Fran xxx Hosted on Acast. This episode of the Tactical Living Podcast, hosted by Coach Ashlie Walton and Sergeant Clint Walton, tackles a silent struggle many first responders face: hyper-vigilance that doesn't switch off when the shift ends. On the job, scanning for threats is survival (Amazon Affiliate). But at home, that same mindset can turn into exhaustion, irritability, and disconnection. We explore what hyper-vigilance looks like in everyday family life, why it's so hard to shake, and how to retrain your nervous system so peace doesn't feel like danger. 5 Examples of Hyper-Vigilance at Home Constantly Scanning the Environment Always checking locks, windows, and exits—even in your own living room. Startle Responses to Everyday Sounds Jumping at noises like a slammed door or a child's toy dropping to the floor. Difficulty Relaxing in Public Spaces Choosing seats with a view of exits and never letting your guard down, even at a restaurant. Emotional Distance From Family Remaining “on duty” mode at home makes it hard to fully connect with your spouse or kids. Chronic Restlessness or Insomnia The nervous system stays on alert, robbing you of sleep and recovery. 5 Ways to Combat Hyper-Vigilance Practice Grounding Techniques Use deep breathing, mindfulness, or body scans to bring your nervous system back to calm. Create Safe Home Rituals Intentionally shift from “on duty” to “at home” with habits like changing clothes, showering, or a short walk after work. Communicate With Family About What's Happening Explain why you might seem distracted or tense, so loved ones don't misinterpret your distance. Limit Over-Stimulation at Home Turn off constant news feeds or radio chatter that keep your mind in a state of alert. Seek Professional Support When Needed Therapy, peer groups, or chaplains trained in responder culture can help you reset patterns that feel automatic.

This sermon from Philippians 2:5–11 was preached on September 28, 2025 by Samuel Parkison as part of the sermon series "Rejoice in the Lord Always."
One way to know that you have received Jesus is if you are living as He lived. Jesus' life illustrates perfectly what it means to love God and love neighbor so that if we simply do what he did we will be obeying God perfectly. We can rejoice that because Jesus came and lived the life that he did, he has shown us how to have an indestructible life that darkness cannot shake or destroy. Speaker: Minister & Senior Pastor, Jim Samra Passage: 1 John 2:3-8 This was recorded live in Grand Rapids, MI on September 21, 2025

As we set aside 21 days to pray and seek God together, we're going to focus on the PRESENCE of God. When we prioritize this time to pray and not just talk to God, but hear from Him too - something significant happens. Let's grow deeper in our relationship with God as we practice the presence of God, personally and corporately.

Welcome back to our Rooted in Ephesians series!Today we're resting in the truth of Ephesians 1:11–12:“In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory.”You've been chosen. You've been included. You have an inheritance—a future and a position in the kingdom that you didn't earn, but were freely given in Christ. When you realize you're an heir, not an outsider, it starts to change the way you think. You don't have to live from insecurity, fear, or shame anymore. You don't have to chase value—you already have it.Your spiritual inheritance is a daily invitation to live like a daughter of the King, walking in purpose, identity, and peace—because your story is part of His glory.
In today's message, Pastor Johnny describes how sin's grip is broken and no longer holds power over you. Blaming Satan for your sin is dishonest. Jesus shattered the chains and will crush the devil's works. Are you living in that freedom or still acting caged? Don't let a single excuse stand in your way! Jesus has won.

In this powerful solo episode of the Growth Now Movement, I (Justin Schenck) sit down with YOU to talk about something deeply personal and often overlooked: legacy. Inspired by the recent passings of cultural icons like Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osbourne, and Hulk Hogan, I share my thoughts on what it truly means to leave a lasting impact. These legends lived boldly, made mistakes, and still left behind a legacy that touched millions. And that's what this conversation is all about—understanding that our imperfections don't define us; they shape us. Justin opens up about: Why your legacy starts with how you show up today The importance of being present with your loved ones How to turn personal setbacks into a springboard for growth Why you don't need to have it all figured out to start building your legacy A heads-up on his upcoming break in August (and why revisiting past episodes could be exactly what you need) This is a reminder to live life on purpose, embrace the lessons in the missteps, and keep showing up as your most authentic self. Whether you're a creator, entrepreneur, parent, or just someone seeking more depth and meaning in your journey, this episode will hit home. What will your legacy be?
