This week Robert and Jazmin talked through several news items from this week including tragic flooding throughout Kentucky, a new ad from Pamela Stevenson, and Andy Beshear's new podcast.
Congressman Chris Pappas announced this week he's running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. Shaheen announced last month that she won't be seeking election. The New Hampshire House Finance Committee voted this week to make steep cuts to government spending in its proposed state budget for the next two years. We discuss these stories with NHPR senior political reporter Josh Rogers. And the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has tapped Mark Sanborn to be the next Regional Administrator for New England. Sanborn will be in charge of advancing the Trump administration's environmental agenda across New England states and federally recognized Tribal Nations. Rick Ganley speaks with him about his goals in his new position.

The Trump administration is dismantling DEI within the federal workforce and ESG is slowly morphing into one of the most irritating terms in corporate governance. But conservatives, sensing there may be more work yet to do, might wonder if there is anything they can do individually to help end these discriminatory and counter-productive policies once and for all. Turns out, there is. A new effort called Coign (spelled C.O.I.G.N) offers what is essentially a conservative Visa card that donates a portion of every transaction to support Conservative charities. It's the brainchild of CEO Rob Collins, a proud conservative with some heavy-hitting bona fides such as serving as Former Executive Director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Former Chief of Staff to Representative Eric Cantor, and Former Press Secretary for Senator John Thune's Senate Campaign. Rob joins the show today to tell us all about COIGN.Links: America's first credit card for Conservatives...Coign Card Charity ProgramFollow us on our socials: Twitter: @capitalresearchInstagram: @capitalresearchcenterFacebook: www.facebook.com/capitalresearchcenterYouTube: @capitalresearchcenter

Benson and Cruz also touched on the grotesque attack by Colin Allred on the mother of a deceased daughter, who was killed by an illegal immigrant due to Biden's failed border policies. The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 3: 5:05pm- On Wednesday night, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Harrisburg, PA—his first trip to Pennsylvania since he was nearly assassinated at an event in Butler, PA on July 13th. During the rally, Trump emphasized presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris' far-left policy preferences, including: a ban on fracking, abolishing ICE, and ending private health insurance. Trump also spent time discussing Harris' failed attempt to secure the U.S. Southern border. Trump promised the crowd “We're not going to let her do to Pennsylvania what she did to California. She destroyed San Francisco."—even calling out Soros-funded District Attorneys and explicitly mentioning Philadelphia. 5:25pm- Flashback: In 2016, KCAL 9—a CBS News affiliate in Los Angeles, CA—reported that Kamala Harris was accused of treating her Senate “campaign funds like a personal checking account to fund a life of luxury.” When questioned about the accusations, Harris seemingly conceded that money was misappropriated but blamed it on her campaign manager. 5:35pm- Dr. Victoria Coates—Former Deputy National Security Advisor & the Vice President of the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the Biden Administration's prisoner swap agreement with Russia. While it's wonderful that Gershkovich has been released, why does Pennsylvania school teacher Marc Fogel remain wrongfully imprisoned in Russia? Dr. Coates fears that because Russia got the better end of this trade deal, it could encourage Vladimir Putin to imprison more Americans. Plus, why isn't the American media paying closer attention to authoritarian Nicolas Maduro's seizure of power in Venezuela? Coates suspects the media is protecting the Biden-Harris Administration for having eased sanctions on Venezuela in exchange for Maduro's empty promise of free and fair elections—which clearly didn't happen. Her upcoming book is: “Winning the War on Israel: Inside the Battle for the Jewish State and America.”

Morning Show 04 - 24 - 24 Hour 2 Trump Trial, Victoria Jones - -Glenn Elliott On Senate Campaign by The Watchdog
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- Rebecca Picciotto of CNBC writes: “President Joe Biden on Saturday signed Congress' $1.2 trillion spending package, finalizing the remaining batch of bills in a long-awaited budget to keep the government funded until Oct. 1. Almost halfway into the fiscal year, the president's signature ends a months-long saga of Congress struggling to secure a permanent budget resolution and instead passing stopgap measures, nearly averting government shutdowns.” You can read the full article here: https://www.cnbc.com/2024/03/23/biden-signs-1point2-trillion-spending-package.html 3:25pm- In response to the House of Representatives passing a $1.2 trillion spending package on Friday, Congressman Scott Perry (R-PA) publicly objected to money going towards “processing” migrants entering the country unlawfully instead of prioritizing security at the U.S. Southern border which would prevent their entry in the first place. 3:30pm- On Sunday, New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy announced that she was suspending her campaign for U.S. Senate. In a video posted to social media Murphy explained her decision: “I have been genuine and factual throughout—but it is clear to me that continuing in this race will involve waging a very divisive and negative campaign, which I am not willing to do.” You can read more here: https://www.politico.com/news/2024/03/24/nj-first-lady-tammy-murphy-to-end-senate-campaign-to-replace-bob-menendez-00148728 3:45pm- Ben Protess and William K. Rashbaum of The New York Times write: “With Donald J. Trump on the clock to secure a nearly half-billion-dollar bond in his civil fraud case, a New York appeals court handed the former president a lifeline on Monday, saying it would accept a far smaller bond of $175 million. The ruling by a panel of five appellate court judges was a crucial and unexpected victory for Mr. Trump, potentially staving off a looming financial disaster. Had the court denied his request for a smaller bond in the fraud case, which was brought by the New York attorney general, Mr. Trump risked losing control over his bank accounts and even some of his marquee properties.” While speaking to the press outside of the courthouse, Trump said he plans to pay the newly reduced bond in cash. You can read more here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/25/nyregion/trump-bond-reduced.html

PA GOP Candidate for Senate - Dave McCormick joins Dawn Stensland LIVE on 1210 WPHT. Dave first reacts to the Boyle drama seen in MontCo, before expanding on his campaign running against Bob Casey, and finding ways to give PA voters hope and opportunity.. Dave was born into a family of two hard-working teachers and spent his early years helping on the family farm. His parents instilled the values of hard work and resilience, which he follows today, and he is passing the lessons on to his children. Growing up, Dave played football and wrestled for his high school's team. He delivered newspapers and bused tables at a hotel. And when the time came, trimmed the Christmas trees so everyone who came to the farm had something beautiful to put in their home. As a 7th-generation Pennsylvanian who grew up outside of Pittsburgh, he knows the Steel City like the back of his hand. But after high school, it was time for Dave to leave the city and head to college. Dave was nominated and graduated from West Point, the United States Military Academy, with a mechanical engineering degree. When he wasn't keeping his head down studying for exams, you would see Dave practicing his wrestling skills for the school where he was a four-time letterman and a co-captain. His time at West Point only furthered the lessons that his parents instilled in him as a young child. He truly saw how dedication and hard work can pay off. Upon graduation, Dave enrolled in the U.S. Army Airborne School and Ranger School, where he was named the Honor Graduate of Ranger School. Shortly after, Dave joined the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper and was one of the first waves of deployments into Iraq during the Gulf War. As a Captain, Dave led his team of 130 soldiers in clearing minefields and destroying enemy munitions. Dave's service in the military ended in 1992, after five years of commissioned service, earning him a Bronze Star. His time in the Army again exemplified the hard-working and resilient values from his parent's teachings. From there, Dave went and earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University, moved back to Pittsburgh, and entered the private sector, where he employed hundreds of Pennsylvanians in his successful tech start-up. His work ethic was strong, and his accomplishments were so well known that he was nominated to serve in multiple positions, including Under Secretary of Treasury and Deputy National Security Advisor. In these roles, he led the fight to protect American technology from Chinese theft and advised the President on national security issues. When Dave returned to the private sector, he met his wife, Dina. The two of them have six daughters. Dave is running for the United States Senate to ensure this nation provides a promising future for his children and future generations. Tune in 10 AM - 12 PM EST weekdays on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT; or on the Audacy app!
