As we study Jesus' final days, we will be impacted as we discover the Love of God for each one of us.  This study is great for large group, small group or home group study and can be started at any time.

Dr. Stephen Lewis of Green Wisdom Health returns to TSPC today to discuss why so many Americans are dealing with stress, anxiety and depression. The links to diet, life style, gut biomes and what we can do about it. Welcome, folks. Good Wednesday morning. It is Wednesday, September the 11th, 2024. For this is episode 3, 556 of the survival podcast. We're bringing back on one of my favorite people to interview Dr. Steven Lewis of green wisdom health. I don't think he's been with us since about 2019. If I remember right somewhere in that range, and it's good to have him back on today. We're going to be talking about stress, anxiety, and depression and how, no, it's. Not all in your head. There's a variety of environmental and nutritional stressors that are actually causing stress. when you have stress, then maybe you have anxiety. And then maybe when you're stressed out and have anxiety. Maybe you get depressed, so you might feel it in your head some, but there are things that you can do to alleviate this and, Dr. Lewis will be with us in just a minute. Next up today, you know, we're going to talk about stress and one of those things that stresses people out is money and having your money constantly erode. That'll stress you out. Well, you know, I don't ever recommend going in all in on anything, but I'll tell you, I've been recommending alternative investments for as long as I've done this show. Anyway, with that, let's bring Dr lewis back on to the survival podcast. Steven, man, welcome to the show. Hey, it's good to be back. Can you just start out with, instead of our subject today, kind of your origin story. Before you decided to go to chiropractic school and then kind of go down this whole world of nutrition with those studies, what was your life like before that? What led you in that direction to choose this as a profession? Well, my parents always took us to the chiropractor first and then an osteopath or MB. Later, if the chiropractor suggested it, I always thought there should be a very symbiotic relationship between them. And that's mostly true now, but, a chiropractor talked me into being a chiropractor and it's been a really good road, because I couldn't handle the blood and guts. I admired the medical profession, but I've seen so many people get well. by taking supplements. And I know the FDA says, it can't help a symptom or cure a disease, but still your body has to have the basics just to work with and our food doesn't have it. And that's why I kind of really admire what you're doing. You're teaching people to grow more nutritious food. And you tell them it's not the soil, it's the microorganism that's, fixing the nitrogen, for example. we're going to talk about microorganisms today and how important that is in your brain health, stress, anxiety, depression, your musculoskeletal health. early on in my chiropractic career, I was really busy. And I noticed that when I put people on nutrients to stop the musculoskeletal inflammation, Then say well God I see better. I'm not as stressed or my husband's nicer to me Which meant I'm not as irritable it all works together structure function nerve supply nutrition and choosing a happy attitude. I think right now people are experiencing more anxiety more depression. but they're also dealing with kind of, as you alluded to, like, and probably part of this is like gut inflammation and you're a chiropractor. So I would imagine muscular skeletal issues or something you'd be looking at. how are all these challenges interconnected? Cause I think people tend to like make these compartmentalized, like anxiety and depressions over here. And that's exactly what pharmaceutical companies want. Cause then they can tell you, right. Take this drug that's on the TV where the mentally, mentally, depressed person is dancing through a field. And then when your hands twitch, take this other drug to go with that first drug.

Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour: The presidents of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard University said Tuesday that calling for the genocide of Jews would not necessarily violate their schools' code of conduct. Teachers in Oakland, California, are planning a pro-Palestinian "teach in," scheduled for Wednesday. Materials included in the Oakland Teach-In Curriculum Resources ask elementary school-age children to draw what they think a Zionist leader looks like and what the definition of a massacre is. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin warned Congress on Tuesday during a private briefing that if they do not pass more aid to Ukraine, it would “very likely” lead to U.S. troops fighting a war in Europe.

The board voted to add "gender identity and sexual orientation" to a pair of policies governing school lunches. The votes were 4-3 in favor of making the change.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) addressed the “March for Israel” rally at the National Mall in Washington, DC, on Tuesday in which he voiced opposition to calls for a ceasefire between the Israel Defense Force  (IDF) and Hamas terrorists. President Biden ripped former President Trump for describing his political opponents as "vermin," saying it's a reference to Nazi Germany. The Biden administration has extended by four months a sanctions waiver that will allow Iraq to continue to purchase electricity from Iran and gives Iran limited access to the proceeds to buy humanitarian goods.

Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour: Rep. Rashida Tlaib is part of a secret social media group in which its members have glamorized Hamas in its war battle with Israel. Florida Gov. DeSantis said that, "I don't really know Mitt Romney," in response to a question about a Romney-backed gathering of presidential candidates last month. ABC News took that comment and did the DUMBEST fact check. Nikki Haley asserts that allowing people to post on social media anonymously is a "national security threat". She promises that as president, she will force "every person on social media" to be "verified by their name."

Over a dozen municipal elections happened across the Ozarks. Most of them centered around tax increases, and almost all of them passed.

Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour: After months of false promises regarding the release of transgender shooter Audrey Hale's manifesto, parts of the document finally leaked on Monday. In response, Nashville's Democrat mayor appears to be furious. He immediately demanded an investigation into who leaked the manifesto, claiming that the release threatens the security of “Nashvillians who are grieving.” Two schools at Martinez Unified School District in Northern California are adopting a costly anti-racism leadership program as three-quarters of students at one of the schools fail to meet the state's basic math proficiency standards. The six figure program, called “Student Leaders' Anti-Racist Movement,” aims to empower and mobilize” students “as catalysts for change through an anti-racist leadership youth movement.” A school district in New Jersey partnered with a sex education group that has offered to provide schools with so-called “gender-affirming” kits that include “tucking underwear,” chest binders, and devices allowing girls to pee standing up.

Rashida Tlaib of Michigan's 12th District has been censured by the House of Representatives following a vote on Tuesday night. The deliberate attack on an elderly Jewish man in California led to his death. Media outlets are tying themselves in knots to avoid saying the man was killed in fight with pro-Palestinian protesters. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to condemn pro-Palestine activists who have been tearing down posters of Israeli hostages hanging in cities across the country. A Washington, D.C. firefighter, who, along with his partner, made a stop for fast food during an emergency call in March, has been fired.

Because her office bought a podium. “In terms of specific features, the height of the podium is specific, I don't know if you've noticed, but women are traditionally a little bit shorter than most of our male counterparts, and uh, so that makes a little bit of a difference, but it also incorporates sound components that make it easier to plug in for multiple media outlets at one time to get the best sound quality, I guess, for relaying back to TV and purposes of that nature, and a number of other things I'll let come through in the audit process.” Hundreds of Lebanese protesters, including some waving Palestinian flags, are currently swarming the US embassy in Beirut. Assailants threw two Molotov cocktails early Wednesday at a synagogue in the center of the German capital of Berlin. Iran's foreign minister posted an ominous tweet on Wednesday that said time is "running out" for Israel.

Franks came within 90 votes of Hubbard in August. He sued over the results, saying that the St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners had improperly counted a couple hundred absentee ballots, which more than eliminated Hubbard's margin of victory. The second primary wasn't close. Unofficial results from the St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners show Franks beating Hubbard 2,234 to 701. Franks won more votes than he did in August. 2019 - Pennsylvania confirmed that more than 11,000 non-citizens are registered to vote. Yesterday - Pennsylvania's Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro on Tuesday announced his state will automatically register people to vote while getting their driver's licenses.
