Actor Steve Toussaint, known for his role as Lord Corlys Velaryon in House of the Dragon, may have inadvertently confirmed a major casting decision for the upcoming third season. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Toussaint shared a cast list for House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 4, revealing the inclusion of Prince Daeron Targaryen—a character long speculated to appear in the show. The post was quickly taken down, but not before fan accounts captured and circulated screenshots across social media platforms. The list also included Lady Jeyne Arryn, a character who briefly appeared in Season 2, suggesting an expanded role in the upcoming season.Daeron Targaryen is the youngest son of King Viserys I and Alicent Hightower, making him the younger brother of King Aegon II, Queen Helaena, and Prince Aemond. Unlike his siblings, Daeron was sent to be fostered by House Hightower in Oldtown, a decision made to solidify the family's influence in Westeros. Though absent from the first two seasons, his existence has been subtly acknowledged in dialogue, most notably in a conversation between Alicent and her brother, Ser Gwayne Hightower. In Fire & Blood, the novel by George R.R. Martin that serves as the basis for the series, Daeron is known to be a skilled dragon-rider, bonded with Tessarion, a blue-scaled she-dragon. While details about her age and growth differ in the source material, she is expected to be large enough for battle by the time the Targaryen civil war—known as the Dance of the Dragons—reaches its peak.Daeron's arrival is a significant development in the ongoing struggle between Rhaenyra and Aegon II for the Iron Throne. With another dragon-rider entering the fray, the balance of power may shift dramatically. His presence could also deepen the internal conflicts within House Hightower and the Targaryen factions.Additionally, Toussaint's leaked cast list hints at other notable absences and inclusions. Episode 4 will reportedly omit major players such as Prince Aemond, Otto Hightower, and Addam Velaryon, while featuring Lady Jeyne Arryn. If Jeyne plays a more substantial role, this could indicate increased focus on the Vale and its strategic importance in the war. This is not the first time House of the Dragon has faced early leaks. Casting confirmations and behind-the-scenes photos frequently surface online, fueling speculation about future plotlines. While HBO has yet to officially announce Daeron's casting, Toussaint's deleted post serves as the strongest evidence yet of his upcoming debut.Season 3 of House of the Dragon is currently in production, with a release date expected in 2026 on HBO and Max.Who is Daeron Targaryen? What This Means for Season 3A Pattern of Early Reveals

Welcome back to the For Your Consideration Podcast! In this episode, we dive deep into the Season 2 Finale , "The Queen Who Ever Was"

Ebube and Afam have mistakenly touched a weird tree and now have a lot of visions to parse through but luckily they are not alone as Soonen joins them to try and make sense of everything that happened in the 'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Finale. They start by sharing whether the finale lived up to their expectations going in, before dissecting Daemon's journey through time & space, Rhaenyra's Harrenhal visit, Criston Cole processing his emotions, Rhaena being a terrible babysitter, Helaena being too pure for this world and SO. Each character could've easily stepped away and everything would've been fine. Most plowed forward. In doing so, who do they become? Rhaenyra Targaryen proved the lowborn were viable Dragonriders but only after throwing the majority into Vermithor's dragons fire. Daemon Targaryen unprecedently holds his tongue to get what he desperately needs from Lord Oscar Tully. Alicent Hightower is the only one who steps away from it all, but even she returns with renewed resolve.

House of the Dragon reminds us that those who shirk honor/power/glory often have the burden thrust upon them. Both Rhaenyra Targaryen's & Alicent Hightower's collective loss and abandonment run parallel. Aemond Targaryen is hot on Daemon Targaryen's (coat) t(r)ails. We're suspicious of both Daemon & Rhaenyra recent blessings.
In this episode of "Challenge Accepted," Thomas and Frank dive into the intricate world of "House of the Dragon," specifically focusing on episode 6, titled "Small Folks." The duo discusses the power dynamics at play, the struggles of the small folks, and the significant character developments. They explore Alicent's waning power, Aemond's assertive role as Prince Regent, and Rhaenyra's decisive actions. The episode sets the stage for upcoming battles and deepens our understanding of key characters. The episode highlights the struggles of the small folks and their growing unrest. Rhaenyra's decisive actions signal a significant shift in her leadership approach. Damon's visions reveal his internal struggles and potential character growth. Gender dynamics play a crucial role, with women's wisdom often overlooked in the power play. Aegon's harsh reality brings an emotional depth to his character. Strategic moves by the White Worm show the importance of creative thinking in war. Memorable Quotes: "This felt like a Game of Thrones episode. There was some real good conversations setting up some pretty amazing finale episodes." - Frank "I'm going to take the bull by the horns, but really the dragon by the wings." - Thomas "She sees me, you know? Nobody else sees me. She sees me." - Frank "If we just listened to the women, we would have been in a good spot." - Thomas Call to Action: Enjoyed this deep dive into "House of the Dragon"? A noteworthy amount of movement in the storyline and mirroring going on between #TeamBlack & #TeamGreen. Is Helaena Targaryen's dreamer/seer gift/curse like Bran Stark's, only on crack? Might Rhaenyra Targaryen's meeting with Alicent Hightower avert worse tragedy and ultimately yield The Prince That Was Promised?

Spencer and Lee review the second episode of season two of HBO's "House of the Dragon." Extra-long episode of the pod this week to cover a HotD episode chock-full of great lines, winners/ losers and plenty of reasons to question who is actually the bad guy. Plus, Spencer condemns Alicent Hightower. www.mangumtalks.commangumtalkspodcasts@gmail.com
Reaction: 2024/06/23Breakdown: 2024/06/26 What does love look like in different cultures/houses? Why do we worship royalty/celebrity? Alicent Hightower escapes her reality by way of Ser Criston Cole, defying Otto Hightower's authority and denying her children love: so much so, Aemond Targaryen seeks it in the arms of a brothel madame (who looks strikingly familiar to her).
Ebube and Afam are back to spill blood and not ink as they get into the 2nd episode of HBO's 'House of the Dragon' Season 2. They examine the immediate ramifications of Jaehaerys' death (2:25) and the Hightowers' plans (14:35). Plus they touch on The Blacks' reactions to the news (25:10), the importance of Alicent & Criston Cole's relationship (33:05) and other familial relationships in the show (55:30). They finish by pondering who played the game best in this episode (1:12:25).Subscribe to our Newsletter via - https://popcornfordinnerpod.com/#newsletterAlso Available on Youtube - https://youtu.be/UiP41hg7KYgHosts: Ebube Ubochi and Afam NwokoloProduction by: Bankole Imoukhuede

It's been half a year since the events of the first episode and shit is already getting wild. King Viserys names his new queen — and no one is happy about it...except for PLOtto. King Viserys shocks his small council when he decides to marry Alicent Hightower, pissing off Corlys, who offered up his own daughter instead. Daemon has seized Dragonstone, taken an egg, and is marrying his mistress. The Crabfeeder is giving them hell and destroying their ships and trade routes...all of this will lead to an alliance of Daemon and Corlys. If you want to keep the fun going with us throughout the week, come join our Facebook group. Haters gonna hate, and Olivia Cooke is just fine with that. In fact, according to the “House of the Dragon” actress, that's part of the fun of her job. “I don't want to play characters that have to be liked universally,” Cooke reveals on this episode of WrapWomen's “UnWrapped” Podcast. “That's sort of like the beauty of what we do.” During this episode, Cooke also… Reveals her go-to hangover cure after a night out with castmates: “milk thistle” Chats about ~that~ foot scene between Alicent Hightower and Larys Strong: “I was number one on wiki feet for a while” Says fame is “weird” and tries to stay off social media and apps to protect her mental health Shares her drink(s) of choice this summer… besides a negroni sbagliato with prosecco See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Olivia Cooke just had the biggest year of her career, thanks to HBO's hit “Game of Thrones” spinoff, “House of the Dragon.” Part of creating her standout performance as Alicent Hightower was accepting not every part of her process would line up exactly with the massive amount of fan expectations surrounding the show. “Whatever layers I try to give the character in order to make a more nuanced performance… ultimately it's not going to please everyone,” she says. “But that's just what I have to do in order to give a decent, honest performance. I have to imbue it with just things that justify the characters, actions and emotions. And those might not necessarily be in the original text, or even in the scripts.” In this episode of In the Envelope: The Actor's Podcast, Cooke brings us behind the scenes of “House of the Dragon,” explains the layers she added to Alicent, and shares her mindset as she gears up for season 2. --- Backstage has been the #1 resource for actors and talent-seekers for 60 years.

Olivia Cooke said in an interview that her character in HOTD, Alicent Hightower, has a bunch of kids that quote “are all f---ing weird”. And you know what, she's right. But it's her second child, Princess Halaena, that is maybe the most “f—ing weird” of them all. She seems to speak nonsense, has a love of collecting insects, and neither her siblings nor her parents seem to understand her at all. Because Halaena doesn't speak nonsense at all, she has the gift of prophecy and no one around her realizes it. She may not seem it, but Halaena may be the most important of her siblings to House of the Dragon as she has the gift of sight. Daenys the dreamer come again. And Larys Strong may have noticed.
Admir and Osama get together to have themselves a chat about episode 7 of House of the Dragon - Driftmark. The duo highlight the episode as the pinnacle of season 1 so far thanks to the complex web of character deceptions and decisions that the showrunners have woven up to this point.
In this episode, Greta and Jason talk through the very intense family reunion after Laena's funeral. Then, they speak with Olivia Cooke, who plays Alicent Hightower, about her approach to the character and Alicent's transformation over the years. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. The podcast is brought to you by Hennessy & pure love. We are still on the House of Dragon high and its not very potent. My expectations have gotten the best of me and its hard to quench my thirst. We are dedicated and promised to follow through with the full first season of the show but I wish I could participate in the writing room because im not getting the same energy I once had. At the end of the day a weak King creates weak television! Thank you for listening, peace and love. Game of Thrones Veteranen wissen: Hochzeiten gehen äußest selten glatt, warum also hier eine Ausnahme machen?

In this The Cast Beyond the Wall podcast discussion, returning guest Lanie James joins hosts Caleb Masters and Daniel Stull to cover the sixth chapter of House of the Dragon, "The Princess and the Queen." The story jumps forward by ten years, the most of any episode of the series yet, and introduces us to an older Rhaenyra Targaryen (now played by Emma D'Arcy) and Alicent Hightower (now played by Olivia Cooke) who have seemingly reversed their power statuses despite Rhaenyra remaining the heir to the throne. With the next generation of Targaryen and Velaryon children now being caught in the middle of the family feud as King Viserys slowly wilts away, it's only a matter of time before war breaks out. Meanwhile, as each of Westeros's most powerful women seeks to either make good with or unseat the other, "The Princess and the Queen," reveals one of the kingdom's major shadow players, Larys Strong, to the game. Does the latest time jump derail the previous episodes' momentum or does it give the story a fresh reboot bringing us closer to a satisfying conclusion? Today's podcast topics include: Our overall reviews of "The Princess and the Queen" The consequences of the ten-year time jump on the story we've seen so far What Larys Strong's big play might mean for Alicent Ser Criston's 180-degree pivot toward hatred of Rhaenyra This week's winner, loser, and wildcard player According to the IMDB synopsis, “The Princess and the Queen” is described as: "Ten years later. Rhaenyra navigates Alicent's continued speculation about her children, while Daemon and Laena weigh an offer in Pentos." Admir and Fahad get together to discuss the latest episode of House of the Dragon - The Princess and the Queen. The duo touch on the biggest time jump in the show so far (10 years) and note the benefits and drawbacks that come from such a choice.
Join Joseph and Michael as they give their overview for the sixth episode of House of the Dragon "The Princess and the Queen". This is the first episode after the ten year time skip and it did not disappoint to deliver us more drama and scandal. Beware spoilers beyond this point. In this episode they discuss the brutal and tragic death of Laena Velaryon, how much of a pathetic person Criston Cole is, Alicent Hightower's terrible parenting skills, and Princess Rhaenyra's major scandal with Harwin Strong.
There's a major changing of the guard on House of the Dragon. Following Milly Alcock and Emily Carey's turns as young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, episode 6 jumps ahead in time to meet the characters as adults, as played by actors Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke. D'Arcy talks about stepping into Rhaenyra's shoes (and wig). Plus, hosts Nick Romano and Lauren Morgan break down the major moments of episode 6. Learn more about your ad choices. It's halftime in Westeros. Both factions are in their chambers discussing what they can do to win the Iron Throne in the second half. And they're all scared, because this isn't a game...of thrones. All that matters now is what's ahead. How do Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower come together? How does Daemon Targaryen win? The House of the Dragon can't be knocked out with one punch. Or even several punches, in succession, from the mailed fist of that little bitch boy Criston Cole. Yeah, it's halftime in Westeros. And the second half is about to begin. #thanksviserys

In this week's episode, the entire RedSix Podcast of Caleb Haldane, Nick Johnson, and Stevo "the Gutternerd" Totten joins hosts Caleb Masters and Daniel Stufll on The Cast Beyond the Wall to recap and review House of the Dragon season 1 episode 5, "We Light the Way." This mid-season chapter of House of the Dragon brings us to one of the oldest Game of Thrones traditions, a wedding ending in bloody death and despair. Before arriving at its inevitably dark conclusion, "We Light the Way," begins with the introduction and death of Daemon's wife, Lady Rhea Royce, a transactional marriage proposal between Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon in the Driftmark, Ser Criston Cole goes rogue due to a broken heart, and a new grudge forged between Alicent Hightower and the rest of the King's inner circle. What could the latest Westerosi wedding spell for the seven kingdoms? Today's podcast topics include: Our initial review of "We Light the Way" What the latest bloody Westerosi wedding could mean for Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon How many episodes does King Viserys Targaryen have left before his inevitable death? Daemon's latest play and whether it will amount to a successful grander scheme How the Strong family is sewing doubts between Rhaenyra and Alicent Hightower What we expect to see in episode 6, "The Princess and the Queen." According to the IMDB synopsis, “We Light the Way” is described as: “Daemon visits his wife in the Vale. Viserys and Rhaenyra broker agreements with the Velaryons. Alicent seeks the truth about the princess.” Continue the conversation Listen and rate us on Spotify Subscribe, rate, and review on Apple Podcasts Email questions to castbeyondthewall@live.com Like the official The Cast Beyond Wall Facebook Page Follow The Cast Beyond the Wall on Twitter @Cast_Beyond_GoT
Admir and Fahad get back on the House of the Dragon vibes and discuss episode 5, We Light the Way. The duo discuss the big wedding scene and its impeccable tension thanks to some great acting and screenwriting, predict what Alicent Hightower's actions will mean in the long run and give their midseason review grades.
House of the Dragon Episode 5 Reaction! What really set off Ser Criston Cole against Joffrey? Check out our sweet, sweet merch! http://www.newrockstarsmerch.com House of the Dragon episode 5, We Light the Way, finds us celebrating the coming marriage of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon. But before the opening banquet can even come to a close, there is bloodshed on the dancefloor. Ser Criston Cole is finding it hard to live with the secret of his night of passion with the Princess, and Alicent Hightower is finding new ways to navigate the politics of the royal court without her father around to help. And through it all, King Viserys is just trying to live long enough to have a decent legacy. Jessica Clemons and Brandon Barrick react to this episode and breakdown the series of events that led to Ser Criston Cole finally snapping.
Death, Duty, Legacy, and the question of who will you be remembered as hangs over the realm in HOUSE OF THE DRAGON's fifth episode WE LIGHT THE WAY. King Viserys I's failing health has him contemplating all of these big questions as he sets in motion a plan to wed his heir Rhaenrya to Laenor Velrayon and hopefully secure his line, his family, and the Targaryen dynasty. But everyone else is trying to answer the question of who they will be and perhaps none more than Alicent Hightower -- who for the first time steps out before everyone as not just a Queen – but – to quote Margaery Tyrell – THE Queen. Tensions are brewing, passions are boiling over, and that means it's a perfect time for a Game of Thrones wedding… There is a lot to discuss so let's dig in on the 145th episode of Casterly Talk with Ken Napzok, Alden Diaz, and Andres Cabrera Follow Casterly Talk on Twitter: https://twitter.com/CasterlyTalk Order Ken's book Why We Love Star Wars: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1642500003/... Special guest Daniel Bokemper from The Cinematropolis joins The Cast Beyond the Wall hosts Caleb Masters and Daniel Stull to do a review and storyline by storyline analysis of the third episode of House of the Dragon, "Second of His Name." Episode three of House of the Dragon jumps ahead by nearly three years. This week's topic--when will Rhaenyra get married? All three of the leads; Rhaenyra, Viserys, and Daemon; spend their time in this episode growing out of their pre-conceived ideas of ruling the seven kingdoms through a different test. Rhaenyra wrestles with the expectations of the patriarchal leadership in Westeros, Viserys reflects on his consequential decisions, and Daemon goes toe to toe with the infamous crab feeder in hopes of earning respect. Does House of the Dragon's first "battle" with the deformed pirate live up to the legacy? Today's podcast topics include: Why Rhaenyra's defiance exposes her father's weaknesses as a leader How Viserys's hunt differs from a similar event during King Roberts's reign What the appearance of the white hart for Rhaenyra could mean Alicent Hightower's subtle plays to protect the realm How Daemon's victory at the Stepstones gives him political leverage over Viserys Will Rhaenyra decide to marry? Why the epic crab feeder battle felt anticlimatic What we expect to see in episode 4, "King of the Narrow Sea." According to the IMDB synopsis, “Second of His Name” is described as: “Daemon and the Sea Snake battle the Crabfeeder. The realm celebrates Aegon's second nameday. Rhaenyra faces the prospect of marriage.” Continue the conversation Listen and rate us on Spotify Subscribe, rate, and review on Apple Podcasts Email questions to castbeyondthewall@live.com Like the official The Cast Beyond Wall Facebook Page Follow The Cast Beyond the Wall on Twitter @Cast_Beyond_GoT

This episode we are really seeing the game of thrones beginning. The lines are starting to be drawn and allegiances are starting to form. This was a good one. With the King facing pressure to marry, he has different voices in his ear telling him who he should marry...and all of it is for their own personal gain. By the way, I can't stand Otto....We also got to witness Rhaenyra starting to show she got that dawg in her...unlike her daddy. Daemon has the kingdom in an uproar and showing them he want the smoke. The episode ended with Viserys choosing (more like Otto playing him), Alicent Hightower as his bride setting of Corlys Velaryon and Princess Rhae Rhae. Between Viserys' decision, Daemon and Corlys uniting, Otto ass hating and Cragas Drahar stealing and killing anything moving in the Step Stones...shit about to get real hot, real fast.....#HouseoftheDragon #watchdemthrones #blackwithnochaser #podcast #podsincolor #gameofthrones #dragons #KingViserys #RhaenyraTargaryen #Targaryen #CorlysVelaryon #DaemonTargaryen #OttoHightower #OttoisaHater
