Engagement comes down to how good your leadership is. Employee engagement is a reflection of the leadership in the organization. When your leaders are people-focused and people first, profit second, you've got a high level of buying. Rich Maloney, author of the video book, Engage & Grow, shares how improving engagement can get people to become highly-engaged in the workplace.Cold emailing is basically sending out an email to a recipient who knows nothing about you whatsoever. It's a brand new message and there's no prior relationship. Ryan Peck, the Cold Emailing King, started cold emailing on behalf of his company. Once he started finding some success, he built upon it. Ryan is now a leads generator, a business consultant, and the founder of The Leads System and Care Ultima. In this episode, Ian Luckett is joined by Ryan Peck all the way from the USA. He is a cold e-mail king, a lead generation specialist, a business consultant, and the founder of The Leads System. And today he will be sharing with us some very important tips and tricks on cold e-mail marketing and how to get your e-mails opened. Today, Ryan shares with us essential tips on e-mail marketing, including what cold e-mail marketing is, how it works, and how effective it is. We also talked about how important it is not to “sell” on your first e-mail, and to keep your sales copy short. Ryan also shared how the power of consistency helps – you need to be consistent in what you do because people are not always available to get back to you, so you need to try again if you do not get a feedback the first time as follow ups are vital in e-mail marketing. We also covered the importance of creating a quality list, getting the right people into your list. Ryan also shares how significant it is to do at least five e-mails when you are putting together your e-mail sequence as part of your content marketing. In this episode, we also tackled how important it is that you work with an e-mail system that suits your business, not all businesses are the same hence the need for a system that meets your business needs. Ryan also shares with us three top guiding tips in cold e-mail traffic: Have at least 5 e-mails in your e-mail sequence. But make each e-mail short. E-mail the right person. No matter how good your sequence is, it will be useless to the wrong person. Deliver and work on your subject line! We also discussed how important it is that you are aware of your analytics so that you know how your e-mails are performing. Was your e-mail even read? Ryan also shares the two basic types of subject lines. They are: Clickbait – putting anything on the subject line in order for the recipient to open the email. Personalised – increases the open rates of your emails. Golden Nugget Round Question 1 – What would you tell your 18 Year Old Self? Don’t wait until tomorrow. Whatever it is that you wanted to do, get started now and take action! Question 2 – What would you lecture at University today? Loving Life with the primary focus of doing more in life, embrace it, and use whatever work you have as a vehicle to a bigger purpose.   Question 3 – What was your biggest investment or financial decision? Investing in myself. "I want to live in a world where I know that kids, especially teens, are given the ability to pursue and find their passions." Ryan Peck of Boise Rock School plays many instruments and wears many hats. Whether it's launching an organization dedicated to helping kids find their creative passions through music with Boise Rock School, or finding an all ages concert hall in Boise through the Boise All-Ages Movement Project, Ryan wants to unlock the inherent creative expression of our teenagers. Oh yeah, and he teaches biology at Boise State University.  Jimmy sits down with Ryan to talk about the role music plays in enhancing a city's culture and inspiring the heck out of our teenagers. "If the kids are all right, the future's all right."  Also, after the interview, Jimmy and Wyatt dissect who is cooler and what a city would be without music. 1.Question Leadership Podcast

Ryan Peck, Associate Vice Chancellor for External Affairs at the University of Denver, discusses the rise of schools endowing Head Coach positions, and how his fundraising team approaches donors for that purpose.

The Tao of Sports Podcast – The Definitive Sports, Marketing, Business Industry News Podcast

Understanding the goals of the University of Denver in athletics takes extra time, since their values are deeply rooted in their mission statement toward student-athletes. Their success isn't as common place as one might think, as lacrosse's 2015 national championship, 7 NCAA Titles For hockey, and 22 for skiing. This means Ryan Peck must pay close attention to fostering each of those priorities in terms of development and external affairs, especially with an across-the-board mentality toward unique sports and their branding opportunities. Peck discusses how the Denver brand is pushed out into the community, as well as ways that he fosters dynamic relationships with alumni over the giving choices that they make. Part of it also becomes a discussion on why Peck has an Associate Vice Chancellor title instead of the common athletic department ones, specifically to provide a continuity across campus in how each person is perceive and their role in the community.
