My guest this week is Academy Award nominee actor, Gary Busey. Filmed live in my home, Gary was generous to share Highlights from his career, personal life and his wonderful "Buseyisms". Please enjoy the vignettes and stories with Gary Busey. In 1966, Gary Busey left Tulsa Oklahoma, to make it big as a singing drummer in Hollywood. The band acquired moderate success playing gigs along the Sunset Strip opening for Sly and the Family Stone and various other bands. His band, Carp, was signed to Epic Records and was given a moderate signing bonus to cut their album. When the band broke up, Gary didn't give up and went on to audition for television and film roles after studying with James Best in Studio City. Gary's tenacity landed him roles as guest stars in such television shows as Gunsmoke and Baretta. Gary's standout performance in A Star Is Born got the attention of Dustin Hoffman who hired him along with his son Jake for the film Straight Time. On the heels of hype, Gary landed the second lead in Big Wednesday, now a cult classic surf film and immediately after, he landed the lead role in The Buddy Holly Story, which garnered him critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for best actor in 1978. His pivotal performance as a villain in Lethal Weapon earned him the attention of a new generation, and the concept of being hired to play villains.Watch the Podcast on YouTube | Read the DiariesHost, Author of Diary of an Actress,. On this special episode of THE BIG 4-0, Ron and Peter look back at the first SEVEN films from one of our childhood action heroes, Steven Seagal. ABOVE THE LAW (1988), HARD TO KILL (1990), MARKED FOR DEATH (1990), OUT FOR JUSTICE (1991), UNDER SIEGE (1992), his directorial debut ON DEADLY GROUND (1994), and his only theatrical sequel and arguably the end of his run as a major box office draw, UNDER SIEGE 2: DARK TERRITORY (1995). That's a lot of films and a lot of ground to cover, so apologies if we didn't do each film or his entire career justice. There are a lot of interesting discussion points left on the table, many touched on, but not fully explored - such as a deeper dive into his past and wild background claims (CIA and/or mob ties?), excellent/interesting supporting cast members we mention but don't trace the arc of their careers as we normally would (Sharron Stone, Pam Grier, Kelly LeBrock, William Forsythe, Jerry Orbach, Tommy lee Jones, Gary Busy, Erika Eleniak, Michael Cain, John C. McGinley, Joan Chen, Billy Bob Thornton, Eric Bogosian, Evert McGill, Morris Chestnut, and Kathrine Heigel, among others), how he always uses a .45 pistol the way Riggs and McClane always use a Baretta, his badass Bronco in MARKED FOR DEATH, the fact that he looks great - damn near hunky - at 40, no less, in UNDER SIEGE, Bassil Poledouris' awesome ON DEADLY GROUND score, and Seagal's music career (two actually-not-bad blues albums!), post-theatrical-direct-to-DVD period, TV career (A&E's LAWMAN), his fashion, political beliefs, and his legal troubles, both as an accused sexual predator and a falling-out with his producing partner Julius Nasso, which led to a real-life Seagal/mob altercation - but as a focus on just these seven films, how they've aged, and where we each rank them in his filmography, it's an in-depth, fun, and revelatory episode. Please remember to Rate, Like, and Subscribe, and we'll be back in 1984 next time to burn down the house celebrating STOP MAKING SENSE and PARIS, TEXAS's BIG 4-0s!

This week on Just Jack & Will, lotta dads, lotta daddies as Sean & Eric give a lifetime achievement award to episode 213 of Will & Grace. They talk about having to wait awkwardly for your takeout, sing the theme song to Baretta, and spend plenty of time reminiscing about the legend Sydney Pollack. Then, they welcome a true cult icon, the fabulous Perry King, to talk about playing John Marshall in this episode, and whether he really would go see the Backstreet Boys, but in all honesty they just want to ask him about their favorite Perry King parts. Don't get too attached to that, I have a coat of yours that would go perfect with it.Have a question about Will & Grace, especially Season 2? We want to hear them! We have a little Christmas for you today....we don't talk about skin care a lot on this podcast, but before Tussanee was into lashes, skin care was her first love. When we set up this interview, Tussanee was so excited as she loves to get nerdy about skin the same way she does with lashes. In today's episode, we have Amanda Barretta from Tizo come on our show to give us insights on what kind of sunscreen you should be looking for as well as explaining how it works. We think adding sunscreen to the products you sell in your business is a great addition. We sold Tizo in our salon, and it was very easy to sell. Hopefully, after you listen to this episode, you'll order some of their product and give it a try. I do want to be clear: we are not an affiliate of Tizo...we just love their product and hope you'll consider selling it in your business as we did. Jimmy went to New York Comic Con (NYCC) over the weekend and got a bunch of interviews and did a couple of press rooms. In this episode, you'll hear the press room he did for the upcoming Disney+ show THE MUPPETS MAYHEM. It's all about the Muppets band Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem and their process of navigating current world problems while making an album. It was May 4, 2001. Bonny Lee Bakley, wife of Emmy-winning actor Robert Blake, was mysteriously gunned down a block away from Vitello's restaurant in Studio City, California. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The media couldn't get enough of yet another Hollywood murder case. But many were focused on what would become of Bonny and Robert's 11-month-old daughter, Rose. That beautiful baby girl, who grew up somewhat hidden from the public, is now a 22-year-old young woman. She's smart, insightful and she is very much ready to tell her story. Bonny Lee Bakley had nine husbands before she met former “Our Gang” and “Baretta” star Robert Blake. He would be her last. As she waited for Blake outside a Los Angeles restaurant someone approached her car and shot her in the head. Was this Bakley's checkered past catching up to her, or was the danger someone we thought we knew? This week's Court TV Podcast dives deeper into these questions with another episode of the original true crime series Someone They Knew With Tamron Hall. This week's episode titled “If You Can't Do The Time.” To see this week's episode of Someone They Knew with Tamron Hall, click here.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Robert Blake, the Baretta and Little Rascals actor, was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors and figures. He was charged in the murder of his wife, Bonnie Lee Bakely. Gerald Schawartzbach was his lawyer. Blake was acquitted and Schwartzbach, who has been invovled in some of the biggest criminal cases, and perhaps the first known acquittal using a Battered Spouse defense , talks with me about his career, his book, Blake, his hippie days and more. www.killercrossexamination.com ___________________________________________ Neil Rockind is the host of the Killer Cross Examination podcast. It's our last episode in May-steries and before we go on a short summer break we're going out with a bang. This week we are recapping Picture Perfect Mysteries: Newlywed and Dead starring Alexa Pena Vega as Allie and Carlos Pena Vega as Detective Acosta. Allie is shooting photos at a friend's wedding when someone does a little shooting of their own. The groom is killed and Allie has to work with Detective Acosta to solve the murder. In this episode we talk about how proficient photographers are at solving murders, recap a fun game of succulent hot potato and speculate on whether a Baretta 84 is a gun or an 80's hair metal band. This movie has positives and negatives but we hope you join us as we focus on Picture Perfect Mysteries: Newlywed and Dead.
