Many people have heard about the Woke Left, but there is a trend toward "Wokeness" on the Right as well. Today we talk about what it looks like to be Woke Right and why it is problematic for the church. We must be vigilant as Christians not to be swayed into a worldview that does not correspond with the core tenets of the faith, whether that temptation comes from the Left or the Right of the political spectrum.Time Stamps: 00:00 Introduction 03:36 Defining Terms and Understanding History 12:01 Problems with Wokeism on the Left 24:27 The Rise of the Woke Right 50:52 Problems with the Woke Right (for Christians) 52:12 Problem 1: Emphasis on Group Identity 57:08 Problem 2: Overemphasis on Ethnicity 1:03:28 Problem 3: Unfounded Skepticism against Authority 1:08:34 Problem 4:Emphasizes Human Solutions to a Sin Problem 1:11:47 Why is it Important to talk about the Woke Right? If you have found the podcast helpful, consider leaving a review on Itunes or rating it on Spotify. The Gospel is Gods answer to the problem of sin. Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus came to earth on a rescue mission. When we look at the world around us, or even reflect on history, we see a massive barrier separating us from a holy and righteous God—that barrier is sin. This barrier is far too great for us to overcome on our own. But God, in His love, sent someone to remove that barrier completely: a Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our broadcast today deals with our alienation from God - and its consequences. But, here's the good part - there was One who was willing to bear this alienation, this separation for us. It was none other than the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary - where He suffered the separation from God that we should have experienced. It is possible for you to find forgiveness of sins and get to know God personally - to close up that gap of separation once and for all. Interested?
How exactly Jesus is the solution to the sin problem? Some think Jesus solves the sin problem by changing the way God looks at the sinner, while leaving the sinner still committing sin in their hearts and lives. But if sinners still sin, is that really a solution to the sin problem? No. When you think about it (and you can even see it with your own eyes today), living in a society where sin still abounds, harbored in our own hearts, but is considered understandable and "atoned for" while not eliminated in reality, doesn't make for a great society. If allowed to continue, it simply would eventually end in death for all. In other words, how is life in heaven going to be any different than life in the world today if we have not overcome every temptation to sin? And if we are inclined to think that in heaven or in the new earth sin will not abound on the basis that we will be with Jesus, consider that Satan and some of the angels chose to sin in that environment. Join us as we look at what scripture tells us is the only true and logical solution to the sin problem. Is happiness possible in a marriage when there has been pornography and broken trust? Dannah Gresh has personal insight on the topic of “Happily Even After.” Married 33 years, this bestselling author and podcast co-host spent 30 years studying sexual theology and sexual social science, but academia could not prepare her for discovering that her husband had relapsed into his decades-old pornography addiction. For Gresh and her husband, the process of forgiveness and recovery was fraught with failed attempts and discouraging days, but also discovery. They found that recovery requires redemption because pornography is a sin issue, and that God intended to use even this for His glory. Today Gresh and her husband inform others about the devastation of pornography and share the process by which God can heal and empower restoration in life and marriage. Whether you struggle or know someone struggling with pornography, you will be encouraged by Gresh's direct, realistic, and redemptive testimony. Unraveling the Mystery: Is OCD a Sin Problem? Join us as we delve into the topics of faith and mental health, examining the presuppositions and misconceptions around OCD. #ocd #mentalhealth #podcastdiscussion ---------------------------------- In this episode, we examine the nature of OCD through different lenses. The materialistic worldview often reduces human experiences to purely physical explanations, such as chemical imbalances. Within this context, OCD can be seen as an attempt to explain spiritual struggles using purely physical terms, attributing the sins of fear, anxiety, and the desire for self-made control to OCD. On the other hand, Christians view these struggles as manifestations of fear, anxiety, and a human desire to have god-like control over one's own life. By acknowledging the spiritual aspect, Christians recognize the need for reliance on God, trust in His guidance, and surrendering control to His loving sovereignty. We draw inspiration from biblical passages like Philippians 4, John 14:27, Joshua 1:9, Matthew 6:34, Psalm 23:4, Psalm 34:4, and 1 Peter 5:7, which offer solace, encouragement, and wisdom in navigating fear, anxiety, and the pursuit of control. These verses provide a foundation for understanding the Christian perspective on finding peace, surrendering to God's will, and seeking His comfort in times of struggle. Join us as we engage in an in-depth discussion, bridging the gap between the spiritual and emotional aspects of OCD. Through personal stories, insights, and biblical teachings, we aim to provide a holistic understanding of this complex condition while emphasizing the importance of faith, reliance on God's grace, and the pursuit of peace in Christ. #UnderstandingOCD #FearandAnxiety #DesireforControl #ChristianPerspective #FindingPeace #PodcastDiscussion ---------------------------------- Splash Page: https://i.mtr.bio/biblebashed Main Episode's playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtY_5efowCOk74PtUhCCkvuHlif5K09v9 Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BibleBashed Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BibleBashed Twitter: https://twitter.com/BibleBashed --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support

Christianity in many ways, is an inconvenient truth. It's message is one of sin, error, the necessity of change, suffering, death, and sacrifice. The so called, "super-apostles" dodge the inconvenient parts for a slicker, more profitable message. There is only one problem: it isn't TRUEWhat is it then, that makes this inconvenient truth WINSOME? That it is true. There is no plan-b with God. What other paths are there to deal with one's DEATH PROBLEM, and ones SIN PROBLEM? There are none.Listen 7 minutes today as Paul makes his inconvenient yet wonderfully winsome argument. And listen tomorrow too by subscribing at Google podcasts.
Speaker: Pastor Matthew Walker Series: Communion Service One of Satan's chief lies is that man can solve his sin problem without salvation in Jesus. In the sad story of Judas, the terrible power of Satan's deception is on full display. He deceived Judas into thinking he had no hope and he led the chief priests to accomplish his plan to murder Jesus. The lesson for us is that our only hope is in Jesus.

Welcome to Part 2 of the Salvation Series! The last episode focused on our sin problem and separation from God outside of a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. The Word of God is clear that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Rom. 6:23). Given that, it's also clear that there had to be a remedy, and one outside of ourselves, to have our relationship with God restored once again. This is the heart of why God sent Jesus into the world to save His people from their sins (Matt. 1:21). The gospel message is clearly explained for us in the early verses of 1 Corinthians 15. That is, Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day (All according to the Scriptures!). Yes, the Good News is clearly explained and was the message of the early saints that was once noted to have "turned the world upside down" in the First Century (See Acts 17:1-9). However, in our times our evangelical presentations are often empty of telling the lost about sin and separation from God and need for a Savior. In its place, many pastors, evangelists, and individuals are focusing on their individual testimonies instead of Scripture truth in evangelism, which will lead no one to Christ and keep the lost in their lost condition. This episode will help those who listen make a clear distinction between a true saving gospel presentation and those of today that leave the sin problem of man out. It also gives examples of current ministries that translate the gospel to a form of self-reformation, rather than true regeneration. Then it will provide true examples of salvation in the lives of Charles Wesley, Jonathan Edwards, John Newton, and Charles Finney. All of these came under deep conviction of sin and separation for significant period of time before the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit aided them to find faith in Christ. Charles Wesley's salvation experience is so wonderfully displayed in the great hymn, "And Can It Be? That I Should Gain." Some of those lyrics will be examined to demonstrate a true gospel saving, life changing experience that should be representative of all lost people who come to true faith in Jesus Christ. Those who may listen and come to faith in Christ, my ministry email address is: 2daysdenarius@gmail.com I would greatly look forward to assisting you with the next step in your new life! 2Days Denarius has been granted permission by Pastor Steve Hereford of the Eastport Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL, to use his wonderful Scripture song, "Most of Our Time," as the podcast's theme song. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only solution to our sin problem.
