Embark on a spiritual journey with us and special guests, Keli Woods & Nāma, as we promise to reveal the timeless qualities of a truly spiritual person. Drawing insights from the Bhagavad Gita, we explore how genuine spirituality transcends appearances and focuses on perceptions and interactions with the world. Join our lively discussions filled with humorous anecdotes and insights, challenging the stereotypes of spirituality while emphasising authenticity and personal expression. Ever wondered if you need to be flawless to hold others accountable? We tackle this provocative question as we share a personal experience of witnessing inappropriate behaviour. This sparks a heartfelt conversation about the struggle between personal growth and addressing uncomfortable situations. We navigate the complexities of ethical growth, pondering whether we must conquer all our vices before encouraging others to improve. It's a thoughtful exploration of courage, accountability, and the shared journey of self-improvement. Dive into the intriguing world of spiritual discernment and self-control as we examine how mundane actions can serve a higher purpose. Inspired by a fascinating example of a business funding a spiritual temple, we explore the themes of sacrifice and control of the mind and senses. This episode encourages introspection on how such self-control forms the resilience needed to face life's challenges. 1st Corinthians 2:15 – “The spiritual person, however, can judge everything but is not subject to judgment by anyone .” Please note that the 1st part is in English, and the 2nd part is in Malayalam starting at 16:46 mark.According to 1st Corinthians chapters 2 and 3, there are four kinds of people. 1)The natural man - A natural man does not have the mind of Christ. The natural man perceives the things of God to be foolishness and refuses to have the thinking of Christ.2) The fleshly person- A fleshly person has jealousy, strife and arrogance. 3) The infants in Christ - They have just come to know Christ and are only now beginning to learn about the things of God. Sometimes they will look like a fleshly person as they cannot think or judge with the mind of Christ.4 ) The spiritual man – As the things of God are spiritually perceived, they are able to discern or evaluate properly the things of God. A spiritual man has the mind of Christ. What makes a person spiritual, how should a spiritual person behave, and what are the rewards of a spiritual person are discussed. A personal evaluation of the current Christians is made.My name... Cicily at cicilysunny@gmail.com

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN BY BRINGING BACK THE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE OF EARLY AMERICA: GEORGE WHITEFIELD
The GRAND INQUIRY is then, how shall I KNOW that I am one of “THE” BELOVED of the Lord? The NATURAL MAN never minds the love of God; he FLATTERS HIMSELF he LOVES God NATURALLY, that the love of God is a plant that grows in NATURE'S GARDEN; BUT a SPIRITUAL PERSON does not so. What does the king take notice of me? does the king look pleasant up|on me in a drawing-room? am I called to wait upon him? am I beloved of this, and that, and the other person? if I am, let God go, I care not; if I have but the love of this and that courtier, I care not whether God loves me or no; THIS WILL NOT DO for an AWAKENED SOUL; and THEREFORE the grand enquiry, and INE PROOF of a person's BEING AWAKENED is, HOW shall I KNOW whether God loves me or not? why try; I am persuaded of it, that we may as well know that God loves us, and we love God, as we may know that the sun shines at noon-day; how shall I know it but by the effects of this love, by the fruits of it? That great man, Dr. Watts, who was called the sweet singer of Israel, says, "we should go first to the grammar-school of faith and repentance, before we go to the university of predestina|tion:" whereas the devil would have them go first to the university, to examine whether they were elected or rejected, or no: they should do as a good woman once did, when satan tempted her, and wanted to distress her, that there were but few to be saved; she said, if there were but two to be saved, she would strive to be one of them. Surely I am belov|ed of the Lord, if my natural enmity against the Lord is slain. How do I know I love a person? how can you prove that you love me? why, say you, I hated you the other day: how many people met I with the other day, that could a few weeks ago have pulled me out of Tottenham-court, but God has over|come their hearts. The person now 〈◊〉 his former enmity, and when that enmity is removed, and you are reconciled to them, cannot you know that you love them? and if God has removed that enmity to Christ out of your hearts, surely you are one of the beloved of the Lord. We are the beloved of the Lord, if we are brought to abhor and renounce that which stands between us and the Lord; I mean, our cursed self-righteousness. BY GEORGE WHITEFIELD

Title: The Power of Divine Wisdom: Insights from 1 Corinthians 21 Corinthians 2 delves into the heart of Paul's message to the Corinthian church, contrasting human wisdom with the wisdom of God. This chapter emphasizes the foundation of Paul's preaching, the role of the Holy Spirit in understanding God's wisdom, and the profound distinction between the spiritual and the worldly. Paul's Approach to Preaching (1 Corinthians 2:1-5)Paul begins by reflecting on his approach to preaching when he first arrived in Corinth. He states that he did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as he proclaimed the testimony about God. Instead, he came in weakness, fear, and much trembling, choosing to know nothing among them except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Paul's reliance on the demonstration of the Spirit's power, rather than persuasive words of human wisdom, aimed to ensure that the faith of the believers would not rest on human wisdom but on God's power. This sets a profound precedent for Christian ministry, highlighting the effectiveness of divine power over eloquent rhetoric. The Wisdom of God Revealed by the Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:6-16)Paul distinguishes between the wisdom of this age and the hidden wisdom of God, which was predestined before the ages for our glory. This divine wisdom, he explains, is inaccessible to the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. Instead, it is revealed to believers through the Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God, making it possible for believers to understand the gifts bestowed on them by God. This passage underscores the crucial role of the Holy Spirit in revealing and understanding God's wisdom, which is not discernible through human intellect alone. The Natural vs. The Spiritual Person (1 Corinthians 2:14-15)Paul contrasts the "natural person" who does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, perceiving them as foolishness, with the "spiritual person" who judges all things through the lens of the Spirit. This distinction highlights the transformative effect of the Holy Spirit on a believer's perception and understanding of divine truth. The spiritual person is equipped to discern spiritual truths, which are foolishness to those living according to worldly wisdom. Contemporary Application: Embracing Spiritual WisdomFor modern readers, 1 Corinthians 2 challenges the prevailing cultural emphasis on human intellect and wisdom. It invites believers to a humble acknowledgement of the limitations of human wisdom in comprehending divine realities. This chapter encourages reliance on the Holy Spirit for understanding and living out the profound truths of the Christian faith. It reassures believers of the Spirit's active role in revealing the depth of God's wisdom and love, empowering them to live in alignment with God's will. Conclusion: The Call to Divine Wisdom1 Corinthians 2 offers a compelling exploration of the nature of divine wisdom versus human wisdom. Paul's message to the Corinthians resonates with today's believers, calling them to seek wisdom that comes from God and is discerned through the Spirit. This wisdom is not only transformative but also foundational to a faith that rests not on the shifting sands of human philosophy but on the solid rock of God's power. In a world inundated with information and human knowledge, the wisdom of God stands as the true guide to understanding and living a life that pleases God.

Pastor Don begins by introducing Riley and Madison Williamson who are going to South Korea to minister to students at Camp Humphreys. He prays for them and asks the congregation to support them. He then transitions to the main message about what it means to be a spiritual person. He explains the differences between cultural Christians, biblical Christians, and nonbelievers. True believers have the Holy Spirit living inside them, guiding them to truth. The Holy Spirit gives new power to live righteously and avoid sin. He leads and directs believers into truth and wise choices. The relationship with God becomes intimate like a child relating to a loving father. There is confidence in being God's child and even being an heir with Christ. An illustration is shared of three kinds of lives – the natural self-directed life without Christ's influence, the spiritual Christ-directed life with Christ ruling, and the carnal self-ruled life where Christ is present but not obeyed. The goal is to live the spiritual, submitted life consistently. In summary, a key mark of a true, biblical Christian is having the indwelling Holy Spirit who empowers righteous living, reveals truth, creates an intimate connection to God, and transforms us to living for God's glory rather than selfish desires. The choice confronts all believers – will we allow Christ to rule our lives or try ruling ourselves? The path to spiritual maturity and peace lies in submitting to Christ's lordship through the Spirit's power.

Daunting. But it needn't be. People often ask how they can get started, so here are some thoughts… A tree with deep roots can weather any storm. We all experience storms in our lives. It is not a question of whether or not we will experience another storm. That is not the question, but rather, when will the next storm be approaching? And when the storm arrives, it is too late for a tree to sink roots. When the storm arrives, it either has the roots or it does not.I have been battered around in the storms of life in both scenarios. For some of life's storms I was caught off guard and unprepared, and those storms damaged me significantly. But I have also encountered storms at times in my life when I was firmly committed to the daily routines of the spiritual life. These storms did nowhere near as much damage. The storms you have experienced in life have passed. You can do nothing to prepare for them or to change them. You may be still picking up the wreckage that those storms unleashed in your life. There will be more storms in your life. I don't know what and I don't know when, but they will come for they are part of every person's experience of life.So begin to prepare today for the coming storms. Begin to develop deep roots by fostering a rich inner-life. Foster a rich inner-life by committing yourself to a daily routine of prayer and reflection.I recommend three practices to ground your daily prayer and reflection: 1. The Prayer Process, which is explained in detail in the book I Heard God Laugh and the video series that accompanies it. It can also be found in the description below. 2. Daily Journaling, just write down whatever comes to your mind for a few minutes each day. Date your entries so you can come back to them over time and see how far you have come, how much you have grown.3. Spiritual Reading, because books change our lives, because we become the books we read. Why does it matter? Why is it important for each of us to establish a daily routine of prayer and reflection? When Jesus was on the cross, he cried out, “I thirst.” In response to his desperate plea the soldiers gave him wine mixed with gall. This bitter combination would have only increased his dehydration and added to his misery. I meet people every day who are crying out, “I thirst.” And the world gives them wine mixed with gall, which only increases their dehydration and adds to their misery. We are each thirsty in our own ways today. You know your thirst, and I know mine. Your thirst may be different next week, and it may be the same. But the reality is our souls are thirsty. And we cannot satisfy a spiritual thirst with a worldly potion. Dig The Well Before You Get Thirsty. I chose this title because our spiritual thirst is real and isn't going away. Every day we are blessed to be on this earth, we will have a need to drink the living waters that God wants to freely give us. But we have to dig the well. How? By developing a daily practice of prayer and reflection. That's how we dig the well. That's how we gain access to the living water that Jesus spoke about. Most people in our culture today are severely spiritually dehydrated. You may be in that place yourself. If you are, do not be discouraged, but don't be a victim either. Start digging y
Readings from Tuesday in the 22nd week in Ordinary Time: 1 Corinthians 2, 10-16: After his failed attempts in Athens, Paul makes his way to Corinth, and he speaks about the spiritual person and the animal person: "An unspiritual person is one who does not accept anything of the Spirit of God" (1 Cor 2, 15). The Vulgate says: Animalis autem homo non percipit ea quæ sunt Spiritus Dei. St. Josemaria said: “We have no alternative, there are only two possible ways of living on this earth: either we live a supernatural life, or we live an animal life. And you and I can only live the life of God, a supernatural life” (Friends of God, 200). Fr. Eric Nicolai preached in Ernescliff College, on August 30, 2022. The spiritual person who judges rightly sees the various religious messages of the world to lead away from God's one true message of salvation. Those who know Christ by faith alone reject any spiritual claim that leads away from the truth.
Many people seem to be spiritual but really aren't biblical. We must learn to test the spirits of what people say so that we don't drift away from the Spirit of God.
