It's been nearly six years since Hailey Bieber last appeared on the cover of Vogue—and let's just say, a lot has changed. Now the face of Rhode, one of the most talked-about celebrity skincare brands, Vogue's summer cover star is also stepping into a new chapter as a mother to her son, Jack Blues. On this episode of The Run-Through, writer Alessandra Codinha sits down with Chloe Malle and Deputy Editor Taylor Antrim and shares insights from her time with Hailey—covering everything from the intense scrutiny she faces online, her relationship with her husband Justin Bieber, and the deeply personal story of her difficult childbirth.Earlier on the show, Radhika Seth reports live from the Croisette at the Cannes Film Festival with the latest from the red carpet and the big screen. She recaps her favorite films so far—and the buzzy ones she's most looking forward to. As Taylor notes, "deranged mothers" seem to be trending this season, with Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson's Die, My Love making headlines after its festival premiere. Radhika also weighs in on the controversy swirling around Eddington, Ari Aster's much-hyped follow-up to Beau Is Afraid (spoiler alert: it didn't make her top picks.)And of course, no Cannes coverage would be complete without a fashion moment. The group crowned their unofficial “Queens of Cannes,” with Jeremy Strong earning his title for perfectly coordinating his bucket hats and suits, and Alexander Skarsgård turning heads in thigh-high Saint Laurent boots. Radhika Desai returns to PTO to talk about the latest round of violence between India and Pakistan, following the terrorist attack that killed 26 tourists in Indian administered Kashmir on April 22nd. We discussed the situation in Jammu and Kashmir since 2019, when the Hindu nationalist government of Narendra Modi revoked the territory's special status under the Indian constitution and brought it under direct rule amid a wave of violent repression. We also talked about fears in Kashmir about the Indian government seeking to change the demographic balance in the territory, and about the scale of the fighting Pakistan and India - which far exceeded the previous round of the conflict in 2019. O jiva soul, arise and give up your sleep. Chant the holy names of Lord Hari, who is the giver of liberation; the enemy of the Mura demon; the supreme enjoyer; the all-attractive one; and the horse-headed incarnation, Hayagriva. 2) Lord Hari [Krsna] incarnated as the half-man, half-lion, Nrsimha. He appeared as a dwarf-brahmana named Upendra and is the killer of the Madhu demon. He is the beloved son of the King of Vraja, Nanda Maharaja, and is blackish in complexion. He is the slayer of the Putana witch and the destroyer of the demon Kaitabha. All glories to Lord Hari, who appeared as Lord Rama, the son of King Dasaratha. 3) He is the darling of mother Yasoda; the giver of pleasure to the cows, land, and spiritual senses; and the protector of the cows. He is the Lord of the Vrndavana forest; the gopis' beloved; the lover of Radhika; and the most beautiful personality in all the worlds. 4) As Ramacandra He brought about the end of the demoniac King Ravana; as Krsna He stole the older gopis' butter; He stole the younger gopis' clothes while they were bathing in the Yamuna. He is a cowherd boy of Vraja and the protector of the cowherd boys. He steals the hearts of all and always holds a flute. 5) Lord Krsna is worshiped by the best of yogis and is the son of Nanda. He removes all the fears of the inhabitants of Vraja. He is the color of a fresh rain cloud, and His form is enchanting. He is the reservoir of all love and is the transcendental Cupid who uses His flowered arrows to increase the loving desires of the gopis. He is the pleasure of the gopis' hearts and the abode of all wonderful qualities. 8) Lord Krsna is the life of the River Yamuna. Nadine Whitney had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Karan Kandhari and Radhika Apte about Sister Midnight and how as original and ‘weird' as it is, it's also representative of people who are rarely seen as (essential) inhabitants of Mumbai. Both Karan and Radhika are an absolute joy to listen to. Kandhari's film is a marvel of inventiveness. The work itself breaks the rules of what is considered genre cinema by never settling on one. Sister Midnight is much like the artist who performed the song after which it is named. Igwald Popstar – known to people who haven't chosen a ridiculous nickname for him as Iggy Pop or James Newell Osterberg Jr., – a man for whom conformity is as anathema as wearing a shirt. It's punk, it's unpredictable, and it has no time to explain itself to people who aren't feeling its strange and wonderful rhythms.Uma and Gopal barely speak to each other but when Uma does open her mouth the crude (but funny) invectives pour out. Her spikiness doesn't bother her neighbour Sheetal (Chhaya Kadam) greatly who takes her under her own resigned wing. However, even when Uma tries (and fails) to be wifely Gopal isn't particularly receptive preferring instead to drink alone than to accommodate Uma. When they do try to be a young couple, they end up taking a pointless thirteen-hour excursion to a beach, only to have to turn around and go home again. Life seems to demand that when they are with each other it is in extremely close quarters which makes Uma more aggressive and Gopal more avoidant. The green wedding bangles she wears (and shakes in anger) become shackles she can't wait to have cut off.Uma begins to make her own way through the city encountering other people whose lives are on the fringes. A trans sex worker who feels a kind of kinship with Uma's oddness. An elevator attendant in a building she begins working at as a cleaner (“Can you clean?” Uma is asked. “I'm a domestic goddess.” She replies), and then there are the goats who seem to follow her wherever she goes. Something is rising in her – something feral and undeniable – neither welcomed nor wholly unwelcomed.Trying to describe what goes on in Sister Midnight is much like humming a blisteringly brilliant song and hoping your paltry version matches up. Karan Kandhari's marvellous vision simply needs to be seen and heard (the soundtrack is incredible) for the fantastic jolts to pull you into its idiosyncratic and singular orbit.Sister Midnight is vivid and infectious. Radhika Apte is towering as Uma who inability to just “be a person” makes her an outlaw setting her own rules. I believe this shift from headspace to heart space is something we can all relate to – it's the universal journey of being human. And as a listener, I hope you'll come away feeling a little more connected, not only to these stories but to the shared truths and vulnerabilities we uncover here. We explore Krishna's ‘peace formula' and ask whether shifting from materialism to spirituality can bring harmony to both individuals and society. This discussion goes beyond theory. We take a hard look at real-world problems like economic and environmental crises, examining the role of greed and selfishness. But who is responsible for driving this change, and how can we create opportunities for a higher awareness? We also tackle the challenge of spiritual bypassing and ask whether true spiritual awakening can be the solution our world urgently needs. Finally, we embrace the present moment, the ‘be here, be now' mindset, and the beauty of seeing the divine in everyday life. It's not every day you get to chat with a true musical visionary, but that's exactly what happened on Wellness Wednesday when I welcomed Grammy-nominated artist Radhika Vekaria to The Debbie Nigro Show! Radhika's voice isn't just beautiful—it's healing. Her album Warriors of Light has earned her a well-deserved Grammy nomination in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category, and let me tell you, this woman is redefining ancient music in the modern world. Born in London with Indian and East African roots, Radhika grew up surrounded by music—literally from the womb! Her father was a connoisseur of Indian classical music, and she found her voice through song, even overcoming a lifelong speech impediment. Now, she helps others unlock their own voices through sound coaching. Oh, and did I mention she's collaborating with NASA on a planetarium show? That's right—her cosmic vocals are about to be paired with stunning space imagery in a groundbreaking project with the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab. Radhika's philosophy? “I don't make music for you to see me. I make it for you to see yourself.” Talk about deep! If you need some soul-soothing sounds in your life, you must check her out. Listen to our full conversation now—trust me, you'll feel inspired (and maybe even a little more zen).

Imagine a world where spirituality is more about laughter and joy than solemnity and sacrifice. In today's episode, we shatter the stereotype of spirituality as a solemn endeavor and instead highlight the genuine delight that can be found in simplicity and community. Through activities like chanting and dancing without the need for intoxication, we uncover a deeper, more sustainable form of enjoyment that transcends traditional fun. We explore how humor can enhance spiritual growth, creating a vibrant community where imperfections are not just accepted but celebrated. Spiritual practice becomes a joy when we allow ourselves to be fallible and embrace a less rigid approach to life. As we navigate the intriguing intersection of spirituality and everyday life, the contrast between spiritual and material pursuits becomes evident. While material pleasures often come with limits and potential downsides, a serious yet joyous spiritual journey offers lasting fulfillment. We discuss how societies, including those chasing Western ideals, may overlook the negative consequences of material excess. By understanding our true nature and aligning our actions with our intrinsic dharma, we find not only fulfillment but also a lasting happiness that enriches our lives and those of our communities. DR. RADHIKA KAPOOR was born in NYC and raised in NJ. She has extensive experience and sincerity for pediatric oral health care. She is passionate about working with children and their families in a fun and gentle manner. Furthermore, Dr. Kapoor's strong educational foundation allows her to share a wealth of knowledge on oral health as it relates to overall wellness. Dr. Kapoor earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, focusing on areas of child development, at Barnard College, Columbia University, where she truly refined her education of child behavior and anxiety-reducing techniques. She then continued at Columbia University to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. While at Columbia, she held leadership positions with the AAPD and Give Kids a Smile. She received numerous academic honors and was published in the NY State Dental Journal for her work on Ectodermal Dysplasia. Her passion for children's dental health and community service was further solidified during her volunteer work, including a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. She had the privilege of completing her pediatric dental residency training at well-renowned Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC, where she received extensive training and experience in treating patients with special health care needs, sedation, trauma, general anesthesia, and interceptive orthodontics. Inspired by her own personal struggles with nursing an infant with posterior tongue tie, Dr. Kapoor sought to enhance her training in CO2 soft tissue laser. In addition to years of continuing education and achieving proficiency in laser dentistry, Dr. Kapoor had the pleasure of having one-on-one training by one of the experts in the field, Dr. Martin Kaplan, who provided additional pearls of wisdom. Dr. Kapoor is pleased to provide CO2 soft tissue laser dentistry using the renowned Light Scalpel to her patients and their families. This has been instrumental in her tongue tie/lip tie frenectomy procedures, improving breastfeeding in infants, speech, feeding and airway issues in toddlers, and adult postural/sleep problems.
