Recognizing the beauty of podcast and what it can bring to businesses, it is no surprise that podcasting has become more popular than ever. On the other hand, producing a great podcast is not a one-man show. It needs to have a set of people with special skills to go through the hustle and grind from prospecting to promotion. To save yourself from the demand of wearing different hats, you need to have a turnkey production service- you need to have a TEAM! Today’s edition of the Knucklehead Podcast, Chief Knucklehead Stephen will talk about five steps to carve out your niche going into 2021. Reflecting from their own experiences and the lessons they have learned in 2020, Stephen will highlight how these steps are essential in growing your business. Carl Reiner was 98 when he died. I’ll never forget the hours I spent with him sitting in his Beverly Hills home in the same chair that his best friend Mel Brooks always used when he visited. Reiner was 94 on that summer afternoon when I spoke to him about his long career in television and film, his 65-year marriage to his wife Estelle and why he’d always wanted to be an Irish tenor. Then Carl Reiner burst into song. That’s all on this episode of “Now What?” which is produced with the help of Stephen Colon, Gabe Zimmer and Steve Zimmer. Audio production is by Nick Ciavatta.

Acceptance. When something bad happens—whether an existential crisis or a personal tragedy—the first step is to accept that it has happened. Unlike prior crises, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, or other disasters, this crisis is not regionalized. Everyone is a participant. Once you accept the crisis for what it is, you can start to take the necessary steps to deal with it. Dealing with extreme or crisis situations in the past and what carries forward today; examples from personal life. What to expect in the short term as people begin to slowly grasp the ramifications of the crisis. How to help others transition from denial/anger to acceptance and then on to adapting to the new normal. You would be surprised what you're capable of when you don't have a choice—you can overcome the anxiety and uncertainty of this crisis. You are part of a larger legacy of American excellence. I made several and we'll talk about them in a later episode. And with any journey, there will be successes and there will be setbacks. My guest today knows that all too well.Stephen Colon runs Knucklehead Media Group and with their flagship show, Knucklehead Podcast, he speaks to people from all over as they tell their stories about the knucklehead mistakes they made and how they used that to create success.Listen as I talk with Stephen about his company and how he got there. Why he does it and have a laugh as we deal with some pet issues in the process. Here's my interview with Stephen Colon of Knucklehead.

Join Stephen and me as we discuss mistakes, shops, and the guts to have the conversation. Knucklehead Podcast is a podcast where we discuss mistakes that we made, provide perspective to people who could benefit from learning, and spent time with entrepreneurs largely with a military background. I spent almost 10 years active-duty and in the reserves for the United States Marine Corps, grew up working construction, and seeing how somebody willing to work could run their own business. I bought my first business from the guy in the Air Force whenever I was in Iraq, it was a lawn care company and I still get crap to this day for my wife about our slogan “one blade at a time.“ We sold the equipment and the list of clients to someone who is running the lawn care business after we left and immediately started working on side projects as I was pursuing full-time and come after I get out of work. Business is fascinating, consumers are interesting, but the problem-solving component of running a business has always been something that's attractive to me. We encourage people to be #alpha of their life rather than #beta, #dontbebeta #getsomewins, and go dominate with an #alphamindset.

Stephen Colon spent almost 10 years on active-duty and in the reserves for the United States Marine Corps. He grew up working construction and saw how somebody willing to work hard could run their own business. When he was in Iraq, Stephen bought his first business. It was a lawn care company with the catchy slogan (which his wife still gives him flak about), "Mowing lawns one blade at a time“. He sold the business list and immediately started working on side projects, while pursuing a full-time career. Stephen is intrigued by business and consumers; however, it is the problem-solving component of running a business that truly fascinates him. He encourages people to be the 'alpha' in their life, rather than a 'beta'. He believes the 'Alpha Mindset' dominates all aspects of living and a sure way to overcome obstacles, both personally and in business. His podcast show, Knucklehead Podcast, is a story-telling initiative where the mistakes we make are talked about...this provides a positive perspective to people who could benefit from learning from our own mistakes and those of others.

Knucklehead podcast is a podcast where Stephen and his guests discuss mistakes that they made, provide perspective to people who could benefit from learning, and they spend time with Entrepreneurs largely with a military background. Stephen spent almost 10 years active-duty and in the reserves for the United States Marine Corps, grew up working construction and seeing how somebody willing to work could run their own business. He bought his first business from the guy in the Air Force whenever he was in Iraq. It was a lawn care company and Stephen still gets crap to this day from his wife about their slogan “one blade at a time“. Stephen sold the equipment and the list of clients to someone who is running the lawn care business after he left and immediately started working on side projects he was pursuing full-time. Stephen says that business is fascinating, consumers are interesting, but the problem solving component of running a business has always been something that’s been attractive. He encourages people to be #alpha of their life rather than #beta, #dontbebeta #getsomewins and go dominate with an #alphamindset. https://knucklhead.wpengine.com/shop Twitter: @knuckle_pod Facebook: www.facebook.com/podknuckle Instagram: @knuckleheadpodcast

In this episode of “Now What?” you’ll hear from legendary TV producer Norman Lear who created “All in the Family” and other hit TV shows including Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, One Day at a Time and Maude. Now, Lear has sold a new show to NBC about adventures in a senior community. In LA, I opened Google maps and sailed onto the 405 in my rental car, wending my way to the Beverly Hills office of the 95-year old television writer and producer. We had so much fun, singing, laughing and talking about what it means to live in the moment and what happens when those moments run out. It’s all on “Now What?” which was produced with help from Stephen Colon, Nathaniel Beaver, Gabriel Zimmer and Steve Zimmer. Audio production is by Nick Ciavatta.
Kelly Carlin’s father George became one of the most famous counter culture comedians of all time. His “7 dirty words” routine went all the way to the Supreme Court. George was the guest host of the first Saturday Night Live show ever broadcast. He did 14 stand-up comedy specials for HBO, wrote three best sellers, won 5 Grammy Awards and is idolized by comedians like Louis C.K. But try growing up as his daughter. He spent too much time away from home and used too many drugs. Kelly Carlin wrote all about it in “A Carlin Home Companion: Growing Up with George.” I went to see Kelly at her home in LA. We talked about comedy, addiction and how the Buddha was right when he taught that in life is full of suffering as well as joy. It’s all on “Now What?” which was produced with help from Nick Ciavatta, Stephen Colon, Dan Przygoda, Gabe Zimmer and Steve Zimmer.
