During the May 4, 2026, broadcast of The Tara Show, the second segment of Hour 1 focused on Donald Trump's aggressive criticism of the South Carolina Legislature regarding congressional redistricting. Following a recent Supreme Court ruling that weakened the Voting Rights Act, Trump reportedly "took lawmakers to the woodshed" for their hesitation to redraw maps in favor of more Republican seats. The discussion highlighted a growing rift between Trump-aligned activists demanding an immediate partisan "offensive" for the 2026 midterms and state legislators who have been slower to act despite holding a GOP supermajority.
