Yuvan Shankar Raja is a popular Indian music composer, singer and lyricist who primarily works in the Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi film industries. He is the youngest son of music composer Ilaiyaraaja and has won several awards for his contributions to the Indian music industry. Yuvan Shankar Raja made his debut as a music composer with the Tamil film "Aravindhan" in 1997. Since then, he has composed music for over 100 films, including some blockbuster hits like "Kaadhal Kondein", "7G Rainbow Colony", "Pudhupettai", "Billa", "Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule", "Thulladha Manamum Thullum" and many more. Most recently Dr. Katcher was the Academic Director for Natural Sciences for the Asian Division of the University of Maryland Global Campus and throughout his career, Dr. Katcher has been a pioneer in the field of cancer research, and in the development of modern aspects of gene hunting and sequencing (including as one of the discoverers of the breast cancer gene BRCA1) as part of Myriad Genetics, and carries expertise in bioinformatics, chronobiology, and biotechnology. Dr. Katcher has thousands of citations in the scientific literature, with publications ranging from protein structure to bacteriology, biotechnology, bioinformatics and biochemistry. Dr. Katcher is launching his new book “The Illusion of Knowledge” on September 4th, 2021.

Yuvanızın etrafında daireler çizerek yiyecek bulana kadar ilerliyorsunuz. O günkü nasibinizi buldunuz diyelim. Peki, yuvanıza nasıl geri döneceksiniz?Bilim insanları gözlemlerinde karıncaların yiyeceklerini bulduktan sonra, yürüdükleri yolu takip etmeden, yuvalarına doğrudan döndüklerini gördü. Bulunduğu yerden yuvasına en yakın yolu bir karınca nasıl bulabilir? Kızıl karıncaların ve orman karıncalarının yollarını bulmak için etrafa kimyevi işaretler bıraktığı bilinmektedir. Bu canlılar, İlahi bir sevkle, bazı izler bırakarak nereden geçtiklerini hatırlayıp yuvalarına dönüş yolunu bulmaktadır. Çölde ise bu tarz işaretlemeler neredeyse imkânsızdır. Çöl kumlarının yapısı ve çöl şartları, bu tür işaretleri taşıyacak kimyevi maddeleri barındırmaya uygun değildir. Bu çeşit işaretler çöle bırakılsaydı, karıncalar için bu durum, Hansel ve Gretel masalındaki çocukların ekmek kırıntılarını daha sonra bulamaması gibi olurdu. Demek ki burada hayatını sürdüren çöl karıncaları başka bir mekanizma ile donatılmıştı.
