Another year, another Birthday Special... our sixth! It's Mike's birthday... it's Phil's birthday... it's the podcast's official state birthday... so what better than a silly, hastily assembled drunken quiz? No ? required... that was a rhe A chance for Loz to close the gap on Phil's epic quiz streak as well as to introduce a wild card in the shape of a third contestant! OK, fine. This wasn't the actual intent, but best laid plans and all that. Also, Simon Perrins drops in to elaborate on his frankly incontestable assertion regarding a British cultural icon and their place in the Multiverse. Simon is also responsible for the magnificent art for this episode, which is a pretty big clue if you're British and over a certain age. It's my 50th birthday. And I'm not here to give you a load of bullshit about how excited I am, or how 50 is the new 40.The late 40s have been TOUGH.And that's true for most people.Statistically, 47 is the most unhappy age. (Yes, actual scientists have studied this.)It's the collision of parenting, elder care, and peak work responsibilities.Your time has never been more constrained. You feel urgency to trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp while you're still healthy — but you're working 60 hours a week and supporting multiple family members. You worry that your happiest years are past — and it just gets worse from here.Bestie, if this is you, you really need this week's episode of the Climb Your Mountain podcast.Because it is going to give you HOPE.It's going to reassure you that greater happiness is coming. You don't have to work for it.It's going to happen naturally.And.You can also move toward happiness NOW.Not by quitting your job and walking across Mongolia with twenty dollars in your pocket. (Although that would be a totally iconic midlife crisis thing to do.)You get to start reclaiming happiness right here, one small step at a time. Here's how.Enjoy ❤️ RESOURCES MENTIONEDThe Happiness Curve: Why Life Gets Better After 50 (book) (aff. link)WORK WITH SARAHCurious about how life coaching can help you? It's that time of year again—Rick's Birthday Special returns for its sixth year, and this time he's joined by the original Sigma Duocast co-creator himself: Nate.In true Sigma fashion, this episode is a chaotic mix of updates, nostalgia, and completely unplanned tangents. Rick opens up about his current state of motivation, the grind, and where his head's been lately. The duo dives into everything from Magic: The Gathering card hype to the Black Friday madness they proudly refused to participate in.Sports talk gets spicy as Nate officially abandons his long-time Dallas Cowboys fandom to join the San Francisco 49ers faithful—Rick has thoughts.Together, they also spontaneously create a brand-new segment: “Nate's Life Tips” (working title), where Nate drops some questionable wisdom that somehow makes perfect sense. It's fun, it's out of pocket, it gets unexpectedly deep, and it's exactly the kind of energy that defines Sigma Duocast. A perfect celebration of another year around the sun for Rick—and a classic reunion for the OG duo.
Have you ever hit a birthday and thought, “Whoa… I learned a lot this year”?In this special birthday episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, I'm breaking down 36 life lessons from 36 trips around the sun, the real stuff, the hard-won wisdom, the wins, the mistakes, and the things that actually helped me put the Happy in my Hustle this past year.Every year, I do this little tradition where I reflect back on the life truths that hit the hardest across all 10 Happy Hustle alignments. It's not about being perfect. It's about staying aligned, being intentional, and actually enjoying this wild ride called life. And if you're an entrepreneur like me trying to grow your business without burning out, these lessons will resonate. Because honestly, most of them came from learning things the hard way. Fatherhood stretched me. Marriage humbled me. Health reminded me not to take shortcuts. Faith grounded me. Nature healed me. And business? Man… business taught me a ton about focus and what actually matters.A few of the biggest lessons I break down inside the episode:Giving to others is one of the fastest ways to fill yourself up—it's crazy how true that is.Your health will humble you real quick if you neglect it (ask me how I know).Your attention is your most valuable currency, and your phone will steal it if you let it.If you want a 10-level partner, you've gotta be a 10-level partner—hard truth, but a game changer. And joy? Joy comes when you prioritize fun, passion, and presence… not just productivity.I also share why faith expanded for me this year, why nature remains my best medicine, and why focusing on margin over revenue has brought more peace and abundance into my world than ever before. These 36 lessons aren't just motivational, they're practical and immediately actionable. My hope is simple: If just one of these lessons helps you harmonize your ambition and your well-being…If just one truth gives you clarity, relief, inspiration, or direction…Then this episode did its job.So if you're ready to reset, realign, and maybe laugh a little at my mistakes along the way, I'd be honored to have you join me for this birthday special.Connect with Cary!https://www.instagram.com/caryjack/https://www.facebook.com/SirCaryJackhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/cary-jack-kendzior/https://twitter.com/thehappyhustlehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFDNsD59tLxv2JfEuSsNMOQ/featured Get a free copy of his new book, The Happy Hustle, 10 Alignments to Avoid Burnout & Achieve Blissful Balance https://www.thehappyhustle.com/bookSign up for The Journey: 10 Days To Become a Happy Hustler Online Coursehttps://thehappyhustle.com/thejourney/Apply to the Montana Mastermind Epic Camping Adventurehttps://thehappyhustle.com/mastermind/“It's time to Happy Hustle, a blissfully balanced life you love, full of passion, purpose, and positive impact!”Episode Sponsors:If you're feeling stressed, not sleeping great, or your energy's been kinda meh lately—let me put you on to something that's been a total game-changer for me: Magnesium Breakthrough by BiOptimizers. Nostalgic episode of the podcast in more ways than one. Not only is it more than two hours long, we've even chucked in some lovable connection issues for you. It's a monster episode here, and leading the way is a terrific appearance from Daniel Wells. There's so much good stuff from Daniel, including his memories of spending time with various Welsh snooker icons, how hurt he was was by negative comments made by Ronnie O'Sullivan, not having an alcoholic drink for over a year, a first ever appearance at the Crucible and his hopes for the future. We also reflect on a superb success for Mark Selby at the Champion of Champions, look ahead to UK qualifying, round up the rest of the snooker news and read out your very kind messages as we celebrate our fifth anniversary. We very much appreciate you being there during our half a decade on the air. It's been a memorable journey for us. The story of the podcast will go on, and we'll return next week to look ahead to the main stages of one of the sport's greatest events, the UK Championship. Text the show! The link's in the episode notes — let's talk storyThis year's birthday carried a kind of beauty and healing I never expected. Just three days before turning 33, I lost my grandma — and with her passing, God began to reveal something deep in my heart. For years, my birthdays were wrapped in disappointment. I often gave others the power to determine how special I felt, expecting them to celebrate me the way I celebrated them. And when that didn't happen, bitterness settled in.But this year, everything shifted. In those three days of grief and reflection, God spoke three things to me:1️⃣ I'm allowed to make myself happy — it's not anyone else's job to do that for me.2️⃣ Jesus rose on the third day.3️⃣ Proverbs 14:10 — “Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can fully share its joy.”What started as a painful week turned into a resurrection moment — the death of my old self and the beginning of something new. At 33, I see how God used loss, healing, and revelation to bring me into freedom and joy that only He can give.Join me as I share what it means to let go of bitterness, embrace personal joy, and celebrate the quiet resurrection God can bring in our hearts.Mahalo for joining me today and for letting me share this space with you.

In this edition of Study Break, in which we subtly celebrate Sam's birthday, we discuss a variety of women's issues: the discourse meltdown brought on by Sabrina Carpenter's chauvinist comeback and her aesthetic shift from pastels and pin-ups to Helmut Newton and Halston; the mass crisis of female reproductive unwellness; Addison Rae's kaleidoscopic showgirl debut; and the upsetting regression of Sydney Sweeney's bathwater hustle. We also discuss some boy issues: Luigi Mangione's lovably centrist birthday dispatch from prison, putting the Guy Fawkes mask on and embracing Redditism, Trump and Elon's toxic yaoi best friend breakup, and more.To stay subscribed to exclusive episodes and all the glamour of our premium content, head to https://www.nymphetalumni.com/subscribe and add your payment info
