I was just thinking about when Prabhu and I first were getting to know each other—before we were even engaged, and obviously before we were married. Just the things that we had to learn about each other. One of the things that sticks in my mind is we lived in LA at the time, and we used to go down to the marina to take walks. He's a foot taller than me—or more than a foot taller than me—and he has got quite a leg span. So, I had to take quicker steps, and I noticed that he also changed his gait so that we could walk together comfortably. I think that's a little bit of what marriage is about: you are individuals, you do things differently, you may see things differently, you may communicate differently, but learning how to bring those things together is part of what makes a really successful marriage relationship. (Excerpt from the talk by HG Nirākulā Dāsī) The other thing that is foundational is the sound vibration. Because every environment, every realm, is defined by the sound vibration therein. Everybody has a soundtrack in his or her environment—or, together, you have a soundtrack. You can determine what your consciousness will be depending on that soundtrack. It is almost, seemingly, too obvious to state, but whatever you consume on a regular basis—whatever you're taking in through your eyes, through your ears—is what's going to be there within your heart. That's the science of the three modes of material nature: how the universe works, and how our consciousness is formed. So, considering any peaks and valleys, it can always be evened out, or we can always rise above those various changes in our lives by readjusting the sound. It's good to know because everyone goes through various challenges, and one of the main teachings in the Bhagavad-gītā that Kṛṣṇa gives is how to remain equipoised while we are facing challenges. It's the reveal of our true character—how we act under duress. Nobody can act civilly under duress unless they have purified their consciousness and that happens especially by purifying the transcendental sound vibration. That's why I like to say: if all else fails—and it will—chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. If you keep the that vibration going and make it ubiquitous in your lives, then you will always stay transcendental above the changes, or aloof enough from the changes to be methodical but dispassionate when you go through anything in your lives. It's just the nature of the world that there are various challenges, and one of the great opportunities to grow together is learning how to face those challenges together. You have to have a strategy ahead of time. Those who assume that there will be no challenges will be disappointed; but those who prepare for challenges will meet them, and those who meet them with the right means to adjust to them, grow in their relationships. Prabhu sent me a video of his mom this morning. It was when he was teaching her how to chant japa. She was 91, I think, and physically she was having a hard time. Her hands were hard to move but she was determined to do it. It was really sweet, and it just reminded me that I miss her. When my siblings and I got to know her, they used to come out and visit, and we would do family gatherings at their house in Lafayette. I remember my sister saying, "I found my real mother." That's just how she was. She just welcomed everyone with love, and she was such a great role model. She really was. She was in college, and she got married during the World War II. Then she had two children, and she had left college. There was a big gap between Prabhu and his brother and the two older kids. Prabhu was the youngest, and when Prabhu went to school, she decided to go back to college. She had to finish her undergraduate degree. Then she went on and got her Master's; then she went on and got her PhD, and taught sociology at San Francisco State. And then, in her 60s, she went back to school while she was still teaching and got a Master's in family therapy or something like that. Then she started working for the Alameda court system to help determine when there were difficulties in the families; she would give advice. She had such a great background because she was a sociologist, she had taken the psychology courses as well, and she had raised four kids, one of whom left home at 16 to become a devotee. She had been through an awful lot. So I was just really remembering her today, and all the sacrifices that mothers make, that kids have no idea, right? We have no idea until we get older, or until you are mothers yourself. Prabhupāda says it's the closest thing to pure love: the love that you have for your kids. So on this Mother's Day, I am so grateful for all of your association, for all of your examples, for your determination, for your dedication to your families, to your gurus, to Prabhupāda, and to Rādhā-Madana-Mohana. Thank you for giving me your association and your example. I'm always inspired by you. When you put the sugar cane through the grinder—not once, not twice, thrice, and maybe, if you're really cheap, you put it through again—that's tuccha. Even the cows come over and smell and go that's nothing left. That's tucchavat. Tucchavat means then you see these accumulations of material desires as being insignificant. They don't mean anything to you anymore because you have this: ar kabe nitāi-cānder. By the mercy of Nityānanda Prabhu, karuṇā hoibe—by His mercy, saṁsāra-vāsanā, these stored desires, layer upon layer, storage rooms full of all these desires, the vāsanās. Karma really means that we're forced to act now because of what we did before. In our mind, we're pushed to go in a certain direction because we've accumulated this karma, and we may think, "When's it going to hit me?" It's driving you right now. prakṛteḥ kriyamāṇāni guṇaiḥ karmāṇi sarvaśaḥ ahaṅkāra-vimūḍhātmā kartāham iti manyate And everyone thinks, "No, no, I meant to do that."If you've ever seen anybody mess up, and they go, "Yeah, I'm meant to do that"—every soul is messing up in the material world and is like, "We meant to do that.": And so they're forced into this because of saṁsāra-vāsanā, carried from one situation to the next to the next to the next because of vāsanā. So he says, 'kabe tuccha ha'be'—when will that time come? When, by the mercy of Lord Nityānanda, will I no longer be forced by material nature to move in a certain direction. When will Nitāi bestow His causeless mercy upon me, so that my desire for material enjoyment will become very insignificant? (Excerpt from the talk Krishna Favours Those Who Continue https://youtu.be/796BMQYnELc) (1) 'gaurāńga' bolite habe pulaka-śarīra 'hari hari' bolite nayane ba' be nīra (2) āra kabe nitāi-cānder koruṇā hoibe saḿsāra-bāsanā mora kabe tuccha ha'be (3) viṣaya chāriyā kabe śuddha ha 'be mana kabe hāma herabo śrī-bṛndābana (4) rūpa-raghunātha-pade hoibe ākuti kabe hāma bujhabo se jugala-pīriti (5) rūpa-raghunātha-pade rahu mora āśa prārthanā koroye sadā narottama-dāsa TRANSLATION 1) When will that opportune moment come to us, when there will be shivering of the body as soon as we chant Lord Gauranga's name? While chanting Hare Krsna, when will there be tears in the eyes? 2) When will I obtain the mercy of Lord Nityananda-candra? When, by His mercy will the desire for material enjoyment become very insignificant? 3) When the mind is completely purified, being freed from material anxieties and desires, then I shall be able to understand Vrndavana and the conjugal love of Radha and Krsna, and then my spiritual life will be successful. 4) When shall I be very much eager to study the books left by the Six Gosvami's, headed by Srila Rupa Gosvami and Srila Raghunatha dasa Gosvami? By their instruction I shall be able to properly understand the loving affairs of Radha and Krsna. 5) My only aspiration is to attain the lotus feet of the Six Gosvamis headed by Srila Rupa Gosvami and Srila Raghunatha dasa Gosvami. Narottama dasa constantly prays to attain their lotus feet. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------
It's helpful to be relentless in your practice of devotional service, and it's quite natural to be unsteady in the beginning. Part of being relentless means you have to be willing to continue, even if you feel that you're not making that much progress. That requires evaṁ buddheḥ paraṁ buddhvā. You have to be situated in your intelligence at that point, because you may not have as much taste as you might need—and you get a lot of credit for staying a long time. In fact, my godbrother Puṣkar Prabhu was just telling me the other day: Śrīla Prabhupāda once commented when devotees were asking these types of questions (and they were brand new), he said, "Wait 50–60 years in your practice." He commented and said, "See who's still around in 50–60 years." Many people shoot up, and they may have various motives, and then they're huge—and then all of a sudden they're not there. But who's there in 50–60 years? One thing is to make a determination to continue no matter what. That's very important, because a "big shot" is just a "little shot" who kept on shooting. That's the case in almost all areas of discipline: somebody who just stuck with it. It's like, "That guy? How'd he get in here?" It's like, "he kept doing it. You guys quit." So, we have to keep going. sva-pāda-mūlaṁ bhajataḥ priyasya tyaktānya-bhāvasya hariḥ pareśaḥ vikarma yac cotpatitaṁ kathañcid dhunoti sarvaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭaḥ (SB 11.5.42) Kṛṣṇa favors those who continue. This verse says that if you just keep going—even though you keep doing stupid stuff and you think, "Why am I doing that?"—it's because you're still "stupid," but you're smart enough to keep going. That is a sign of sincerity. The sign of sincerity is that you keep going. Have you ever seen a little animal or a kid who's totally inept at something, or maybe they're even deformed or injured or whatever but they just keep trying? Everyone runs to them and says, "Help them! Help that one over there, they can't walk." You see people all the time; they adopt a little beagle that has no back legs, and then they'll get a skateboard and hook it up because they want to help them out. So Kṛṣṇa is like that. If we keep going, even though we're the worst of the worst, if you just keep going, then there's magic that happens from chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. We have to remember that Kṛṣṇa is all-powerful. nāma cintāmaṇiḥ kṛṣṇaś caitanya-rasa-vigrahaḥ pūrṇaḥ śuddho nitya-mukto 'bhinnatvān nāma-nāminoḥ There's no difference between Kṛṣṇa and His name. And He's transformative; He's cintāmaṇi. If you remember this, it's like: "I don't like the way my life is." All right, how about let's change it? What do you think? Yeah, good idea. How are you going to change it? Try YouTube? No—try chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. If you just keep trying it, because Kṛṣṇa and His name are non-different, you go to the reservoir and you just drink, and you don't have to do anything else. That's why: vāsudeve bhagavati bhakti-yogaḥ prayojitaḥ janayaty āśu vairāgyaṁ jñānaṁ ca yad ahaitukam It happens quickly when you chant—do something direct. Chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, it is transformative. So, keep going to that reservoir that changes everything. Who changes everything? It's Kṛṣṇa. He's the cintāmaṇi stone. Don't give up on it. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?
First, I offer my respectful obeisances to Śrīla Prabhupāda, and note that this is an historic event. Hopefully, there will be plenty of photographic evidence, because Gurudāsa Prabhu was here to open the first San Francisco temple, and now here he is again. Many devotees—Mālatī, Śyāmasundara, Mukunda, Jānakī Devī—they all asked again and again: "When would the San Francisco temple re-open?" Thank you, first to Navīna-nirada Prabhu, the intrepid, who came here and struggled through four or five years trying to get established here. Then our great hero, Ananta Caitanya Prabhu, came with great determination, imagination, and devotion, and has brought us all together. So, we're greatly indebted to you for your endeavors and to all the members of Bhakti SF who are holding space here for the pleasure of Śrīla Prabhupāda and Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Today, we re-inaugurate this temple with deep thanks to Kent Prabhu who, during the pandemic, was interested in: "Where's the kīrtana? Who cares about a little virus?" He indicated—and it was the same mood that Ananta Caitanya was in—"Virus? What virus?" Therefore, he kept the center open, and he kept chanting. Kent came here and had a vision that we should be established well here in San Francisco; Kent painstakingly looked for a place and then made this happen. So, thank you very much to Kent. Today is Narasiṃha Caturdaśī. We mark it that Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu had worshiped Lord Narasiṃhadeva in His pastimes. But very importantly, in Navadvīpa Dhāma, Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura—who wanted to discover the original birthplace of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu—had noted that each morning he saw a cloud of dust coming from Narasiṃhapallī to where the birthplace of Lord Caitanya has been established. And he noted that it was the Lord Narasiṃhadeva coming every day to maṅgala-ārati to worship at the place of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. So today, we hope Lord Narasiṃhadeva is pleased with this reopening of the San Francisco temple, for Bhakti SF, holding space here for spreading Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu's message all over San Francisco. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
“In the Gaura-ganoddesha-dipika (115) it is said that the two brothers Jagai and Madhai were formerly the doorkeepers named Jaya and Vijaya, who later became Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu. Jagai and Madhai were born in respectable brahmana families, but they adopted the professions of thieves and rogues and thus became implicated in all kinds of undesirable activities, especially woman-hunting, intoxication and gambling. Later, by the grace of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Shri Nityananda Prabhu, they were initiated, and they got the chance to chant the Hare Krishna maha-mantra.” (Shrila Prabhupada, Chaitanya Charitamrita, Adi 10.1.20 Purport)

I would like to offer this class to my very dear friend and Godbrother, Caru Dāsa Prabhu, who is one of the great pioneers of the saṅkīrtana movement. I always told him that if he wasn't doing what he was doing—spreading Kṛṣṇa consciousness in such innovative ways—he should have been the president of the country. He always reminded me of a president or a very highly placed senator; he was astoundingly articulate. Just listening to him was always a feast for the ears. He started a radio station way before social media or mass communication was available. When people were still sending snail mail, he had a bustling radio station where he was regularly putting out Kṛṣṇa Conscious information. He went off to Utah—it's a Mormon state—and made friends with all the Mormons. They love him there; everybody likes him wherever he goes. He started beautiful temples that his wife, Vaibhavī, designed herself. Both of them are highly skilled. Anyway, I've been really conflicted because, hearing that he passed—I guess we heard about it on Tuesday night. On one side, I can just see the momentum he had in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Externally, I didn't lament at all because I thought, "Well, of course, he was about 80 years old, and he just stepped out, moved on and obviously, he had a completely successful life from my perspective and the way I saw Prabhupāda talk about Jayānanda Prabhu, who passed away just before Prabhupāda." So, we had some vision about how Prabhupāda would observe devotees leaving the world, and he wrote about it. On the other side, I noticed I've been mourning very deeply. There is psychological adjustment for me happened after Badrīnārāyaṇa Mahārāja left, and after Caru Prabhu left. I've been having really intense dreams. I realized that after Badrīnārāyaṇa Mahārāja left, I was imagining what it would be like to have died. I actually put myself in the position of: 'Okay, I already passed away and I came back into the life I'm in now, and I'm watching myself.' I could just feel that it was a mourning process. It's one of the hardest things to cope with, and that is the loss of God siblings. We lose mothers, fathers, and so forth, but many of us—at least for me—I have known my Godbrothers and Godsisters longer than I knew my parents for. It is the hardest thing, but it's also part of the maturing process in Krishna consciousness to lose parents and loved ones, and then cope, tolerate, and be observant of how Krishna tells us to process such things, and watch how Prabhupāda did it also. Then, of course, when you start losing beloved Godbrothers, reality shifts. Once again, there's another way of processing everything; taking shelter of the Holy Name and the śāstra becomes more urgent. It's always urgent, but it seems more urgent in those cases. To put on a yajña takes a lot of work—any kind of yajña—and to take it down takes a lot of work. The middle portion is often very short. Again, in a fire yajña, there's only a few spoon fulls that go in, but getting all the ingredients (especially if you have to grow them yourself) and then cleaning up afterwards is the heavy lifting. But the combustion—spiritual combustion—happens in the middle, and this is one of the five most important practices according to Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. I feel like we had that combustion because of the hard work of Śraddhā Devī Dāsī ,team members, and Divyanāma Prabhu—working, all of them, constantly. I'm in on weekly meetings for planning, and then I hear Śraddhā with her team. I see Divyanāma Prabhu constantly planning also for his team. And this is a confluence of different teams coming together; it's just been really nice. I hear Nirākulā in the other room on meetings, and the detail that Śraddhā goes into to plan these is astounding to me, and many of you mentioned those types of things. I don't know if you could hear out there, Śraddhā, but a lot of people were appreciating that you had a motherly presence and you were attentive to every detail. Really, it's your tenacity and your very deep devotion that shows up in the way that you lean into your service completely. I couldn't be more grateful, and all of us feel that way too. So thank you very, very much for giving such sacrifice so that we can achieve this yajña that is irreplaceable in our lives, in our sojourn, in our journey back to Godhead. Thank you very much. Divyanāma Prabhu, Vṛndārikā Ramāi, and their team—they have dedicated their lives, or a good portion of them, to putting on Yātrās. And just in the way things have come together over the years, we have now three Yātrās a year. They've just evolved. But they didn't just evolve, just like the material world and all the species didn't just evolve—there's an intelligence behind it. Divyanāma and Vṛndārikā Ramāi are attached to the dhāma. They have spent a lot of time in the dhāma, and it was good fortune that they ran into Mukhāravinda in the Istanbul airport distributing books one day. Believe it or not, they were in transit, and that's—without all the details—how we met. Then one thing led to another, with a ride from their house to the airport about starting the Youth Yātrā. I had always wanted to do it; didn't know how it would ever happen, but then Kṛṣṇa sent them and they said, ‘We'll do it.' Now there's been a merging of Yātrās, and we have added on in October to the wonderful UK devotees coming together, and I get to spend time going around with that other Yātrā, and now these Yātrās are coming together. Kṛṣṇa has definitely got a plan, and we're really grateful to you and Vṛndārikā Ramāi. Thank you very much for the tireless service you do. Back at ISV years ago, we used to have Devotee Appreciation Day, and we would come together once a year, I think, to try to appreciate the devotees. Every time driving home, I would look at Nirākulā and say, ‘Why am I so exhausted?' It was really hard, because we all have this feeling—I'm hearing it from everyone—you want to try to mention everybody. It's like seeing all the preparations that were just offered to Lord Jagannātha and then thinking you can eat them all. It's impossible to glorify the devotees enough or appreciate them enough. And I always walked away feeling like, ‘Oh, I could have done more.' And that's exactly how I feel now—for all of you, that we came together to render service and create this environment. It's a miracle. It's a spiritual miracle that will be imprinted in our hearts forever.
I really want to thank Divyanāma Prabhu and Śraddhā Devī Dāsī for threading the needle, because it's not so easy to land in all these places and have a stretch of time that we've had to sit here and do bhajan. I keep resonating with the cleaning ladies who asked Ānanda Vrindāvana if we all live in one āśrama back in California, and she said, "No, we're from all over the world," but these yātrās are like living in one āśrama and having the opportunity to see what it's like. See how you like it—just hearing and chanting and going to holy places. And if you do like it, then you're really lucky, because this is life. The other part of the life is to take whatever drop we get and give it to as many people as possible. The spiritual mathematics given in the Caitanya-caritāmṛt is: the more you give it out, the more it swells in our own lives. Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda, dear Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, dear Śrīla Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya, Śrīla Rāmānanda Rāya, Śrīla Svarūpa Dāmodara, and all the residents of Jagannātha Purī who are followers of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu: If You so desire, please instill in our hearts a drop of the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu—for You are His great devotees—so that we can follow in the footsteps of Lord Caitanya by following the footsteps of Śrīla Prabhupāda and his followers, and bring millions and millions of people back here to Jagannātha Purī to chant, dance, and live in one huge āśrama. Make the whole world one āśrama with everyone chanting and hearing. Thank you for considering our request. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #pilgrimageoftheheart #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings
Jaideep A. Prabhu is a scholar of diplomatic history and nuclear policy though he has a wide range of scholarly interests from the Classics, ethics, history, law, literature, political philosophy, religion, and security. His regional interests, however, are limited to Western Europe and the Greater Levant. Prabhu has three Masters' degrees in the humanities despite an engineering background, and has written for several periodicals as well as appeared on national television as an expert commentator.Presently, Prabhu is based in Israel and conducting research at Ben Gurion Research Institute (BGRI) on religion, secularism, and nationalism, making Israel's early state-building and foreign policy a case study. The research also touches upon a brief comparative analysis of Zionism and the idea of a Jewish state on the one hand with Hindutva and India on the other.Prabhu spends his spare time engaged in martial arts, cooking, flamenco, travelling, and scuba diving; he is also an avid fan of football and tennis.
We are at an amazing time, an amazing juncture, because we are here at a time not so long after Śrīla Prabhupāda landed in America and spread Krishna Consciousness. Perhaps most beneficial is that some of the devotees that first met Śrīla Prabhupāda are still with us. Śyāmasundara Prabhu lives just down the road; I talked to him a couple of days ago. He's working on consolidating his three books into one to make it easier to read and have them translated into other languages. Mukunda Mahārāja lives in New Zealand, and he was just in a car accident—a very close call actually. He's okay, but the fact is that we're still in the midst of those devotees who were arm-in-arm and surrounding Prabhupāda in service, going to various places around the world on his order. So, it's an important time to take advantage of such association by hearing what the devotees who were there have written, have said, and, if possible, meeting them—taking advantage of their association. When they are gone, they are gone. I realized that when I was writing my book, Our Family Business, because I was interviewing a lot of devotees, trying to get as much personal information as possible. One of the devotees was Brahmānanda Prabhu, and as I was interviewing him—just a short time after I had finished talking with him—he had left the planet. And Madhudviṣa—I had interviewed him in Los Angeles as he had come to the Ratha-yātrā. He was in a wheelchair at that time as he was very ill, but he still led kīrtana. You could barely distinguish his voice, but he wanted one last opportunity to come to the Ratha-yātrā. He had very eagerly granted me an interview. I took advantage of that; a couple of days later, he was gone. There was also Keśava. Keśava was Karandhara's brother. Karandhara is still here on the planet, but I was trying to get an interview with him and somebody said, "Okay, in a few days." And then they said he has a cold. Then they said he was in the hospital, and then they said he was gone. So, when devotees are gone, they're gone, I realized. I got so much from talking to them personally—things I had never heard before and things I was able to record. So, we should be sponge-like in trying to take advantage of as much association as possible from these iconic devotees who had spent time with Śrīla Prabhupāda. One of the ways to do that is to hear what they have written. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection
Seeing the assembly of devotees eagerly waiting to purchase the Name, Lord Nityānanda first examines each of them to test their qualification; then, He sells them the Name by bargaining for His price accordingly. Sometimes when we go out—just as we were recently, as recently as yesterday, to people in the dhāma where we just were, (first Māyāpur, then Jagannātha Purī, then Vṛndāvana) we offer people a little prasādam, a picture of Kṛṣṇa, and transcendental literature. And we give them the opportunity; we bargain with them. We say, “Please give something.” They say, “I don't have anything.” “Nothing? Give something.” Some people will give some small donation, whatever they can afford. Some people are ready to immediately give something in return, recognizing the value, and they say, “I could hardly give enough.” Other people are hesitant, but we find, especially in India, everybody has something. We met a man digging a ditch, and all he was wearing was a gamchā. And we suggested that, on behalf of Lord Nityānanda, we would accept a donation. Some of the devotees who were watching thought, “Where is he going to find a rupee?” Well, it's in the roll! When you put on a gamchā, you have to roll it. It's in there. Similarly, everyone's got something rolled up somewhere that they can offer. Lord Nityānanda goes around. He finds what can somebody give that gets them started in giving. Because, as Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad-gītā (BG 3.9): yajñārthāt karmaṇo 'nyatra loko 'yaṁ karma-bandhanaḥ tad-arthaṁ karma kaunteya mukta-saṅgaḥ samācara Human life is made successful by giving. When we give, we grow and we notice that not only do we survive giving away what we're so attached to, we feel complete when we give. Paradoxically, we give away and we grow. We feel fuller, because the soul is a servant of Kṛṣṇa—and any way we can serve fills us up immediately. It is natural for the soul to feel happy and full. So Lord Nityānanda quizzes each person to see what level they can start their giving, and then He adjusts the price accordingly. Oh, my dear friends, if you really want to buy this pure Holy Name, then just come along with me, for I am now going to meet with this Nityānanda Mahājana. (Translation, verse 4) That line always gets me, because just think, if someone's going there and they say, “Hey, why don't you come along?” What a life-changing event to meet Nityānanda Prabhu, just like Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī, He wanted to join Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.,, ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #
Talk by HG Vishnugada Dasa: (0:00:0 -0:22:0) Talk by HG Vaisesika Dasa: (0:22:0- end) I was thinking about consistency in relationship to ants, and I noticed that in any discipline that I'm practicing, consistency is the key. For instance, I notice in writing that it's better if I have a daily approach. In fact, I got this advice from His Grace Bhūrijana Prabhu, who's an author. When I was writing my first book—or I should say, when I was not writing my first book—he called me over and he said, “Listen, I have some advice for you, kid. I will tell you what I am going to do for you.” He said, “Just write one sentence every day.” That changed my approach to writing because as soon as he said that, I thought, “Well, I can try to write one sentence a day.” When I started doing that, I realized his trick: I couldn't write just one sentence. I wrote a sentence, then I thought I would write one more, and then one more. Pretty soon, I noticed Nirākulā saying, “Where are you? You were supposed to be here half an hour ago! I told you prasādam was at nine o'clock!”—and look, she's laughing. I noticed that I had crossed over from taking the "consistent approach" (that's the topic) and I had slipped into absorption. Therefore, I took from the ants this mantra—and I thank them to this day—which is: “Don't let the trail go cold.” There's a way in which, as soon as you stop using a trail, it grows over again. In writing, I notice also that if I wait for even three days, then I can't remember where I finished. Even if I mark it copiously, I think, “Was it yellow or green that I was supposed to start with?” And if I wait three weeks or three months, then who knows what might happen? I might even forget where my computer is or how to turn it on! So, consistency is helpful. This concept comes into our practice in the song by Śrīnivāsa Ācārya: 'saṅkhyā-pūrvaka-nāma-gāna-natibhiḥ.' The very fact that Śrīnivāsa Ācārya mentions that the Goswāmīs counted their rounds, as well as other things, and that it was daily, what Prabhupāda called “numerical strength.” Another way of being consistent is to find a number that you'll never go lower than, in whatever you do. Oftentimes, people are starting to chant and they wonder, “How will I get to 16 rounds?” One of the ways is to pick a number that you will not neglect to do. Even if there's a flood, a national emergency, or a personal emergency, you'll keep that number and never decrease. Another thought I had—and I forget where I got it—was: you'll never be thrown off the bus, so don't get off the bus yourself. Nobody kicks you off the bus of chanting or bhakti, so we shouldn't step off. There is a slight caveat: it's important to not be offensive, because if we are offensive, we won't feel like chanting. You just lose your taste for it. Some people are so-called humans. According to the śāstra, dvipada-paśu, they are called 'two-legged animals.' Doesn't matter if you take to the path given by the ācāryas, and especially because Nityānanda Prabhu noticed that a lot of people were being cut off from the mercy. The mercy had been dammed up. Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura sings about this in his song 'Nitāi Gaura Mani'—such a beautiful song. People like to dam up the mercy in religious institutions. They discover some niche, and then they want to stay in their niche—a little hole in the wall somewhere where they have some designated power. And then they want to make sure nobody else gets it unless it's through them. So, Nityānanda Prabhu and Lord Caitanya came. Specifically mentioned in 'Nitāi Gaura Mani,' Nityānanda Prabhu cut a channel. He said, "The heck with this damming-it-up business; it has to be distributed to the whole world." So he cut the channel so the mercy could flow out to everybody. In this age of Kali-yuga, the members of the Pañca-tattva didn't consider who was a fit or unfit candidate. So, how do we come into a place like this? When I was traveling with one of my senior godbrothers in many places around the dhāms, we used to travel together, and we noticed...(04:17) ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #pilgrimageoftheheart #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Begging for the Holy Name is what we're built for. If you've ever wondered—if you've ever looked at yourself in the mirror and noticed your ears, your eyes, the shape of your head, your arms, your legs—did you ever do that? And think, "Well, what is this design?" It's especially designed for prayer. The human body is built for prayer. And this is the most beneficial mudrā (folded hands). We only feel fully satisfied as humans when we pray to Kṛṣṇa sincerely, "Please engage me in Your service." Otherwise, we're to one degree or another neurotic. Every human being has some neurosis. Sorry to say that in front of Viṣṇugada Prabhu—he's a licensed psychologist. Hope I'm not incorrect. It was Prabhupāda's observation. When he heard somebody in court who was asked to give expert witness about a case—he was asked to certify if a perpetrator was mad or crazy—he said, "As far as I'm concerned, as a psychologist, everybody's crazy." So, when we are able to pray to the Lord, then we feel satisfied. In the nāma-tattva, or the truth of the Holy Name, we find in the Bhāgavatam statements that bring our mind to full concentration in one place, like: kaler doṣa-nidhe rājann asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet (SB 12.3.51) Kali-yuga is a lost cause. It's a very difficult time where people are lazy, misguided, unlucky, and above all, always disturbed: prāyeṇālpāyuṣaḥ sabhya kalāv asmin yuge janāḥ mandāḥ sumanda-matayo manda-bhāgyā hy upadrutāḥ (SB 1.1.10) Sumanda—it's really bad. But there's one good quality in the age: mahān guṇaḥ. One good quality is that just by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, one could cross over the ocean of faults of the Kali-yuga. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #pilgrimageoftheheart #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
My deepest thanks to the Mayapur Institute, to my teachers, Rādhikā Nāgara and Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita Prabhu, and my wife, Nirākulā Devī Dāsī, without whom I would not have been able to procure this diploma. Seeing Śrīla Prabhupāda's dedication to writing his books, and having received a personal instruction from him in 1973 to read his books, I'm very happy to offer this diploma to His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda. And noticing how much effort he put into writing his books, I've always thought: if I can put in as much effort into reading his books as he's put into writing them, then maybe I will amount to something. Of course, I can nowhere match his efforts, because he's from the spiritual world, but I'm running behind him with that endeavor. So on this day, I hereby offer to His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda this diploma, which is an offering from my heart. Thanks for saving me from this dark material world through his divine books; and I intend, for the rest of my life, to continue studying them deeply, trying to assimilate what he's given, which is the most valuable, heartfelt spiritual knowledge available anywhere within all three worlds. My sincere request to all my disciples: please read all of Śrīla Prabhupāda's books. Please take Bhakti-śāstrī, Bhakti-vaibhava, Bhakti-vedānta, and when it's available, Bhakti-sārvabhauma. Always study Śrīla Prabhupāda's books, because they're as deep as the ocean; and if you try to swim in that ocean, you'll find out just how deep it is. In the process, you'll become fully Kṛṣṇa conscious by the mercy of His Divine Grace. Thank you for considering my request. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Mata Pita Guru Prabhu Charano Me : Ashram Bhajan
Mata Pita Guru Prabhu Charano Me : AI Bhajan
So what we have here is an institution meant to continually channel the water that Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu, brought from the great ocean of mercy of Kṛṣṇa. We're kind of like civil engineers, right? Sometimes they cut channels like Mulholland; Los Angeles wouldn't be a name right now if Mulholland, a very expert engineer, hadn't figured out how to "steal" all the water from Northern California (you can tell where I'm from) and bring it down to Los Angeles to make the desert fertile. Economics, I learned from an economics book, is the science of managing scarce resources and thereafter the law of supply and demand; but we learn from the Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta that there is no scarce resource in the spiritual world. The more we channel the mercy of Nityānanda Prabhu to the world, the more the supply increases. That's a Haribol! That's a secret of success. Also, when we have an institution meant to distribute mercy, "the devil is in the details," but we can come out of the details by principles. And one of the principles that Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu exhibited and taught to the world is the principle of adoṣa-darśī. Everyone is envious in the material world—my brother gets a raise, and I think, "Darn"; somebody else leads a great kīrtana, it feels like ughh!! As Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad-gītā, this is the lingering disease in the material world. Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu represents the uttama-adhikārī who sees beyond the faults of all living entities, which are cataloged by Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura in the Fourth Canto of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam in his commentary, where he says there are four kinds of people that are highly expert at finding faults, some are better at it than others. And there are four kinds of saintly persons who are expert at following finding the good qualities in others. The first fault-finder sees that there are good qualities and bad qualities and then he only sees the bad; second, he's more advanced, he sees the good and bad qualities so he brings up the bad quality to make sure everybody knows about it; the third doesn't even see any good qualities, just sees the bad; and the fourth is so expert that even in those that only have good qualities, he finds some fault. Conversely, in those who represent Lord Nityānanda to one degree or another, the first sees good and bad qualities but chooses to see the good; the second one sees good and bad and brings up the good quality; the third doesn't see the bad quality, just the good; and the fourth, even in a person who is sudurācāra, who has no good qualities factually, a person who is a representative of Lord Nityānanda finds a good quality. A simple reading of Prabhupāda's books brings us into the presence of Prabhupāda. It nourishes us, it maintains us, and it becomes an industry unto itself—that is, people come from all parts of the world just to hear because the experience is unique; just hearing Prabhupāda's voice, reading his books straight through. Oftentimes people think, 'I've already done that. I know what Prabhupāda says.' He says: "sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja," as Rādhikā Ramaṇa Prabhu pointed out one time. Prabhupāda wanted to make sure that in every purport, everyone got the full meal, just in case they only read one purport in their life. But there's something else about Prabhupāda's books which is understandable only when we go into them very deeply, and that is that they're as deep as the ocean. Every time we read, we realize that assimilating what Prabhupāda has given would require a Herculean effort. Another thought along those lines is that Prabhupāda gave a Herculean effort to write the books. It's legendary that he wrote whenever he could, and he said, 'Drops of water wear the stone away.' He sacrificed his sleep in order to translate and commentate during the night time. I thought once while reading that I cannot write like Prabhupāda wrote; I never will. However, at least I can try to put in the same effort reading Prabhupāda's books that he put into writing them. What if I tried to catch up on that level? Since Prabhupāda already said, 'You must also read my books,' it means the potency is there, and that goes for everyone. Assimilating what's in Prabhupāda's books is only realizable for those who try to read all of the books, because once you do, you see that upon completing the Bhāgavatam, you'll realize, 'Oh, I was only able to take away a fraction of this.' So, I'm eager to express enthusiasm that everyone who would like to may make it a lifetime endeavor to read all of Prabhupāda's books. Read them with your friends, read them with your family, and if you get consistent, it's amazing how you'll find that you go through each book miraculously. And what I mean by that is...(14:36) ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Each year, about 32% of the food produced across the world is lost or wasted. Tackling food loss and waste has been on the global agenda for decades, with policymakers citing it as a contributing factor to issues like food insecurity and environmental degradation. Despite this attention, food loss and waste remain a challenge across the world.A new book from researchers at the Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition (TCI) provides an evidence-based framework for addressing food loss and waste as a means to improve access to healthy diets. In “Wasted Potential: Tackling Food Loss and Waste Across Transforming Food Systems,” TCI alumna Jocelyn Boiteau and Director Prabhu Pingali set forth a policy agenda that builds demand for diverse, nutritious foods in order to incentivize food loss and waste reduction while mitigating tradeoffs between food security, environmental sustainability and socioeconomic welfare. In addition to stimulating demand for safe and nutritious foods, they call for investments in value-adding innovations like processing, packaging and cold chain infrastructure, as well as public infrastructure and financial services that improve market access.“Wasted Potential” was published by Springer as part of its Sustainable Development Goals Series. It is available to download through open access.
Expanding the conception of god part2 - Chaitanya Charan Prabhu by Exploring mindfulness, yoga and spirituality
Śrīla Prabhupāda talks about just listening. Just listening is enough to give us advancement in our japa and, hence, in our spiritual lives. Because japa is the basis. If we notice where our mind is going, we just gently pull it back to the sound vibration. I find myself that whatever I spend my day on—or whatever I am doing when I'm not doing my japa—that's where my mind tends to wander: where I am, what I'm going to have to do later, or what I've spent time doing the day before. So, the more our engagement is in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, the more our kathā is speaking about Kṛṣṇa and His pastimes then, even when our mind wanders, it's not off to such a bad place, and it's more gently and easily brought back to the sound. I know sometimes devotees I have heard ask, "Should I be meditating on Kṛṣṇa's pastimes?" But that's not what our meditation should be, unless those pastimes come into our mind by Kṛṣṇa's grace. We just need to listen to the mantra, making sure we're chanting each syllable clearly and with attention. And then, if we think of a pastime—like when we go to the dhāma and remember the pastimes—if they just come into our mind, then that is Kṛṣṇa's mercy on us; it's not that we force it. Our concentration should just be on listening—listening to each syllable. If we're able to "make a comeback," as Prabhu says, sometimes bead by bead, then that's the practice. That's what it is: it's a practice. Over many, many sessions of japa, many days of chanting sixteen rounds (or however many rounds we are all chanting), that practice becomes more steady, more natural, and more enlivening. I like to look at it as my personal time with Kṛṣṇa. I'm putting in the time to chant my rounds, so why not put in the best time? Why not give Kṛṣṇa my full attention or as much as I can bringing my mind back to hearing His name? When I do that in a mood of gratitude, I find having a mood of gratitude really helps me to control my mind. Gratitude and humility. .------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, when he lived in Vṛndāvana, would walk from Akrūra Ghāṭa every morning and sit down at Imlitalā tree and he would chant japa from early morning into the late morning. Similarly, when Caitanya Mahāprabhu came to South India, he made special arrangements for his japa. It says here, from our reading last night: "Since your two hands will always be engaged in chanting and counting the holy names, how will you be able to carry the water pot and external garments?" That's Nityānanda Prabhu trying to induce Caitanya Mahāprabhu to take somebody with him. Why? So he could have his hands free and chant Japa. From this verse (Cc Madhya 7.37), it is clear that Caitanya Mahāprabhu was chanting the holy names a fixed number of times daily. The Gosvāmīs used to follow in the footsteps of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and Haridāsa Ṭhākura also followed this principle. Considering the Gosvāmīs—Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī, Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī, Śrīla Raghunātha Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, Śrīla Gopāla Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, and Śrīla Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī—Śrīnivāsa Ācārya confirms: saṅkhyā-pūrvaka-nāma-gāna-natibhiḥ. In addition to other duties, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu introduced the system of chanting the holy name of the Lord a fixed number of times. As confirmed in this verse, Caitanya Mahāprabhu used to count on his fingers; while one hand was engaged in chanting, the other hand kept the number of rounds. This is corroborated in the Caitanya-candrāmṛta and also in Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī's Stava-mālā, which is quoted. Prabhupāda says: "Therefore, devotees in the line of Caitanya Mahāprabhu must chant at least 16 rounds daily. And this is the number prescribed by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Haridāsa Ṭhākura daily chanted 300,000 names; 16 rounds is about 28,000 names. There is no need to imitate Haridāsa Ṭhākura or the Gosvāmīs, but chanting the holy name a fixed number of times daily is essential for every devotee." So, this is the foundational principle of the practice of devotional service, and we get constant confirmation of how important it is. https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/7/37/ ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Balarāma, Gopāl Prabhu, I came to your house in that little enclave called SLO, San Luis Obispo. It's a little isolated place. You have to airlift in all supplies. If you fly there, you have to drop in by parachute. It's a little place surrounded by reality. And we came to your house and saw that because of your sincerity, you had facilitated hundreds of young people, non-traditional, as Devavrata said, no previous connection with anything that has to do with Hare Kṛṣṇa. But I've never seen any dancing or chanting in kīrtan like the one that took place in your house. I kept looking up to see if the roof was still on. If it hadn't been a slab floor, it would have broken through, and that's a harbinger for your devotional service that you started in such an environment and facilitated it. Therefore, I pray to Śrīla Prabhupāda, to your spiritual master, and to Devavrata Prabhu and his team, and all the previous ācāryas, that may your sojourn in this life be marked by enthusiasm, full engagement in devotional service, and happiness of heart to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and see other people dance as enthusiastic as they were at your house. And may that enthusiasm that started in your house spread throughout California and then all over North America and the world. And we give you our sincere congratulations today for staying in the āśram system and strictly following in the footsteps of the previous ācāryas. Cc Madhya 24.327-331 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/24/advanced-view/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Transcendental necessities really have to do with being able to remove the doubts of a disciple. It's the main point, and it's an intuitive process, because for a disciple, Kṛṣṇa comes in the form of a particular spiritual master locally. As Prabhupāda said, "Spiritual master means a post and also means a person." And the way one ascertains, and does ascertain, that one is getting one's spiritual necessities is by hearing. Generally, people are in a bewildered state in this world, and they're also depressed, and they're also unlucky, and they're also always disturbed. But by hearing from a bona fide spiritual master, one starts to feel lucky again. One comes out of depression. One feels optimistic, and it's that upliftment that generally informs a person or inspires a person to say, "Oh, I'm feeling improved by listening here." And whether it's the Dīkṣā-guru or śikṣā-guru, it's like, "I'm getting enlivened by this. This is the good old spiritual influence that I've always been looking for, and that I've maybe had before. Now I'm feeling it again," whatever it may be. But it's visceral, and it's internalized by a person, by hearing, and all necessities are fulfilled by hearing. I mean, even on a material platform, as Prabhupāda points out in the Third Canto of the Bhāgavatam, what to speak of spiritually. So if the quality of the person is coming through in their talks, in their speech, and the person is feeling uplifted, then that fulfills that requirement—that should be able to deliver the necessities, to remove the doubts. If you look carefully at this passage about the Mahā-bhāgavata, you'll be surprised. In fact, it's used as a counter to those who opine that the way of becoming a guru requires such a lofty conception that only Nityānanda Prabhu or maybe Queen Kuntī could possibly initiate anybody or be involved in the process. But listen what Prabhupāda says here (Cc Madhya 24.330). Cc Madhya 24.278-326 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/24/ ------------------------------------------------------------ I read in the Śrī Bhaktisiddhānta Vaibhava that when devotees got a windfall, Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta liked them to spend the money on preaching. He didn't like them to get fat and have lots of money. He wanted them to feel that "we have to depend on Kṛṣṇa." That's why it's nice to spend all your money on books and then distribute them all and start over. It gives that feeling of full dependence on Kṛṣṇa. When Caitanya Mahāprabhu, in the Caitanya Bhāgavata, had taken sannyās and He goes out wandering, He brings His followers with Him. As they began the journey, He turned to them and said, "Did you bring anything?" And they said, "Oh, my Lord, You didn't tell us to bring anything." He said, "Very good, because I want you to observe that although the universe is filled up with food and money, people get only what they deserve, and that Kṛṣṇa is sustaining us wherever we go." Once I interviewed Mahātma Prabhu about the early days of preaching, and he said, once Prabhupāda put out an edict that "anybody who goes out preaching and traveling to preach who doesn't care for personal maintenance, then, I guarantee they'll go back to Godhead." I forget what the exact benediction was, but it was something extremely lofty. And he said, "We all just jumped in the van in the middle of winter and took off for the North." He tells the whole story about how they got to some tiny, little town. It was in Canada. It was blizzard conditions, and there was some drunk guy. The only guy on the street was drunk. He ended up buying a book. And then they wondered where to stay, and they were looking around, and they just happened to find a door with a sign on it. They went in there, and it was full facility. Everywhere they went, they found that kind of facility. That Prabhupāda's mood, sort of as Svarūpa Dāmodara said, after Lord Caitanya took sannyās, he said, "I became mad." So Prabhupāda had that kind of spiritual madness, too. I heard he brought a little bag of oats or something, in case there was nothing to eat. Cc Madhya 24.221-277 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/24/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Question: How to fully forgive those who insult us or obstruct our seva when we are still unable to overcome feelings of pain and anger. Excerpt from the answer: You could take Mahātmā Prabhu's seminar on how to forgive. Lots of people have spoken about forgiveness. Mahātmā Prabhu, in the devotee context talks about it. But one thing is, forgiving doesn't mean that you condone what people have done; forgiving is for you to let it go so that you can move on. Prabhupāda gave an instruction to Peter Burwash. He was a businessman who ran Peter Burwash International. It was a big, huge tennis company; it taught people how to play tennis. He was a devotee, but he never got initiated. In Hawaii, he got a lot of association with Prabhupāda. He signed up as a life member one afternoon, and the next morning, he found out that the devotee he gave his money to had absconded. He became so disturbed and angry, and he went to talk to Prabhupāda about it. Prabhupāda gave him this instruction that he kept for the rest of his life. He used to give seminars and he would always start with this instruction that Prabhupāda said, "Don't be angry with the instrument of your karma." And he took it to heart. So if one takes whatever happens—it doesn't mean, of course, you don't do due diligence. If somebody has abused you or is bullying you, you have to do your due diligence. It doesn't mean to become a doormat to forgive, but internally, one can become highly philosophical and think that 'whatever comes to me, it's by Kṛṣṇa's arrangement. Perhaps I'm paying back a debt from my last life,' and Kṛṣṇa gives this permission, or the śāstra does, to take it as a lesson and just let it go. So it takes a little practice and some philosophical underpinning. Deities are known for their intimate connection with their devotees, and the secret in life was given by one of my godbrothers, who used to live in Govardhan. He lived and passed in Govardhana. His name is Gopīparāṇdhana Prabhu. He had stayed where we were, right next to where we were this morning for breakfast. He lived just down the road from there, in a little house with his wife and child and a couple of cows. He was a great scholar, a linguistic scholar. He helped to translate many of Prabhupāda's books, including the 10th, 11th, and 12th Cantos. Also, he was the great expert who was able to bring the Bṛhat Bhāgavatamṛta to light in a perfect way, praised by the greatest scholar of Gaudiya Vaishnavism at the time in the academic world Joseph T. O'Connell who said, "Nobody else in the world could have done that." That was the great Gopīparāṇdhana Prabhu. And he said once, something that I've always kept with me and that anyone can live by for great success in life, and I would like to tell you.He said, "It's not what you know that counts, it's who you know and what you are." So we learned this lesson from Śrīla Kavirāja Gosvāmī, from Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, to find the pure devotees and follow in their footsteps. Even if we feel unqualified, even if we are unqualified, we become qualified. Kalpante ye 'nu tān iha—in this world, from whatever position we're in now, even Sūta Gosvāmī says in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (SB 1.2.25): bhejire munayo 'thāgre bhagavantam adhokṣajam sattvaṁ viśuddhaṁ kṣemāya kalpante ye 'nu tān iha Which means that previously, all the great saints worshipped the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is beyond the three modes of material nature. Anyone who follows in their footsteps and tries to emulate what they have done according to their capacity becomes eligible for the same result that they attained. So we come here begging for the mercy of Śrīla Mādhavendra Purī, thinking of how he carried wood in his hands for the Lord. And we can remember that he's considered the most celebrated of all Vaiṣṇavas in our sampradāya, as he set the stage for Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu to come and teach the emotional love for Kṛṣṇa, which had not been taught ever before. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #kartikimmersionretreat #pilgrimage #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
CC Madhya 19.118-154 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/19/advanced-view/ ------------------------------------------------------------ I had long conversations with Rādhikā Ramaṇa Prabhu when we stayed with him the year Sādhu Saṅga was in Utah. Rādhikā was saying it's the glory of a person, and it makes them more glorified when those after them first of all choose to write about the materials following that luminary. He gave the example of Shakespeare. How many thesis papers have there been in the humanities department about any of Shakespeare's works or his life in general? Millions. And did that eclipse Shakespeare's writings? No. On the contrary, it's a light shining on them saying, "Wow, so many people were writing about him and, you know, taking points from his writings that he must be like the super guy," and he is in literary history. So his point was, after every ācārya, there are always thousands of commentaries. We only see a few of them, but there are thousands of writings about any luminary, any of the mahātmās who have written, and so forth, and it glorifies them, because, of course, that person made a stir, they hit a nerve. They actually had something potent to say, and therefore there's a lot more to say about it and a lot more to churn within what they said. Therefore his opinion was and is, that it's the glory of Prabhupāda that more people write about what he said and what he brought to bear—the whole canon of Vedic literatures—and how we can bring it into the modern light so that people can take advantage of it. That shows Prabhupāda's potency. And case in point was the Bṛhad Bhāgavatāmṛta, because Joseph T. O'Connell, who at the time was the preeminent expert on Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇavism in the academic world, if you read his foreword to the book, he says that very thing: that nobody in the world up to this point, after hundreds of years, has been able to do what Gopīparāṇadhana Prabhu has done, which is to effectively translate what Sanātana Gosvāmī wrote as prose, as commentary, he wrote in Sanskrit, and nobody had been able to take it and put it into a natural flow of language that people could read and understand. And He said it's perfectly done. He said, "This points to the greatness of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedānta Swami Prabhupāda, that he could attract and then train disciples who could do that." What to speak of how the devotees headed by Hṛdayānanda Mahārāja were able to finish the Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Cantos of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, which sometimes people say, "Oh, you don't read those. They're not Prabhupāda's books." But my opinion is, they're as much Prabhupāda's books as before that, because who trained them to talk like that and have a perfect grasp of the siddhānta and to be able to present it in the same mood that comes through the disciplic succession? It shines a light on the greatness of Prabhupāda that somebody was able to be there and continue that, as Prabhupāda asked them to do. Cc Madhya 17.1-39 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/17/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Prayer is a kind of declaration of one's determination, and we don't even know how determined we are until we start praying, to hear ourselves. Rādhikā Ramaṇa Prabhu gave this masterful class In New Vrindāban that was about prayer. I mean, what class has he has ever given that's not masterful?. And he said, when he was a kid and he was learning to read from the Bhāgavatam, he and his brother would listen to their parents read Bhāgavatam to them, they would get absorbed in the stories, and then when the prayers would start, they would think, 'Oh, not again!' Because sometimes the prayers seem—to those who are eager to hear Līlā stories—they can even seem tedious. But he said after a while, when he matured more, he realized that these were the most important part, because it was the response the devotees were having to Kṛṣṇa and what was in their heart. And he was talking about how important it is for us to hear the prayers, but also how important it is for us to pray, because we may have a general sense of our determination. But then when we voice it to Kṛṣṇa, we have to articulate it and really think about it. And then we also have the sense of, 'I'm saying this to Kṛṣṇa,' and it becomes more personal. In general, that's the juncture at which we meet Kṛṣṇa is when we decide that we're going to be serious and determined. Because somebody, as we hear from the ten offenses, somebody may maintain material attachments even after understanding so many instructions on the matter. One of my godbrothers used to say, 'Kṛṣṇa doesn't see what you are offering as much as he sees what you're holding behind your back.' If we become determined, and at least come to the point of saying that, 'Kṛṣṇa, you know what I'm holding behind my back? Please make me give it up.' That kind of frankness is an exhibition of one's determination. Cc Madhya 14.1-18 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/14/advanced-view/ ------------------------------------------------------------ I think it's in contention for the best purport. We should have every year the 'Best Purport Awards.' This is what I'm going to enter. (HG Vaisesika Dasa) Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī wants to point out that nothing could compare to the Lord's mercy toward Mahārāja Pratāparudra; therefore he uses the word dekha (“just see”) and caitanyera kṛpā-mahābala (“how powerful is the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu”). This is also confirmed by Prabodhānanda Sarasvatī: yat-kāruṇya-kaṭākṣa-vaibhava-vatām (Caitanya-candrāmṛta 5). Even a little of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's mercy serves as a great asset for spiritual advancement. Therefore the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement must be spread through the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. When Rūpa Gosvāmī experienced the mercy and magnanimity of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, he said: namo mahā-vadānyāya kṛṣṇa-prema-pradāya te kṛṣṇāya kṛṣṇa-caitanya- nāmne gaura-tviṣe namaḥ “I offer my respectful obeisances unto the Supreme Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, who is more magnanimous than any other avatāra, even Kṛṣṇa Himself, because He is bestowing freely what no one else has ever given — pure love of Kṛṣṇa.” Śrīla Locana dāsa Ṭhākura has also sung, parama karuṇa, pahuṅ dui jana, nitāi-gauracandra: “The two brothers Nitāi and Gaura are so kind that no one can compare to Them.” Similarly, Śrīla Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura has sung: vrajendra-nandana yei, śacī-suta haila sei, balarāma ha-ila nitāi, dīna-hīna yata chila, hari-nāme uddhārila, tā'ra sākṣī jagāi-mādhāi “Just to deliver all the sinful persons of this age by propagating the chanting of the holy name, Lord Kṛṣṇa and Lord Balarāma have advented as Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Nityānanda Prabhu. Jagāi and Mādhāi are evidence of Their success.” Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's special mission is the deliverance of all fallen souls in Kali-yuga. Devotees of Kṛṣṇa must persistently seek the favor and mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu to become fit to return home, back to Godhead.
