Physical therapists Kim Downey, Ziya Altug, and Shirish Sachdeva discuss their article "How physicians can reclaim resilience through better sleep, nutrition, and exercise." In this episode, Kim, Ziya, and Shirish explain how the triad of sleep, balanced nutrition, and physical activity forms the foundation of physician resilience. They outline practical strategies such as circadian-friendly sleep routines, meal planning to stabilize energy and mood, and integrating aerobic activity with mindful practices like yoga. The conversation emphasizes small, sustainable changes, institutional supports, and peer accountability systems that make self-care realistic for busy clinicians. Listeners will come away with actionable lifestyle medicine strategies to reduce burnout, strengthen work-life balance, and improve both personal health and patient outcomes.

She also talks about her experience as a first-time filmmaker and the challenges she faced as a director. Ziya also discusses the challenges of dealing with misinformation online, the experiences of women in the media industry, and the importance of supporting upcoming female journalists. Ziya mentions Sarika Suzuki and Severn Suzuki (David Suzuki's daughters) as women she admires in the media. Ziya and her team are still raising money for the documentary's impact campaign and they plan to release a podcast to delve deeper into the dark secrets and stories of the plastics industry. Gâsıplar kitaplara uzandı! Bir-iki dili susturdular ama Allah ona bedel yüz dil lütfeyledi. *Bir dönemde de Pir-i Muğân, Şem'-i tâbân, Ziya-ı himmet'in kitaplarına güve gibi musallat oluyorlardı. Kütüphaneleri basıyor, kitaplara el koyuyor, müsadere ediyorlardı. Değişen bir şey yok tarihi tekerrürler devr-i dâimi içinde. Belki bir-iki dili susturdular fakat ona bedel Allah (celle celâluhu) yüz tane dil lutfeyledi. *Üstad hazretleri, “İman tevhidi, tevhid teslimi, teslim tevekkülü, tevekkül saadet-i dâreyni iktiza eder.” buyurmuştur. Her şeyi bütün bütün Allah'a havale edip, yine her şeyi O'ndan bekleme makamı sayılan “tefviz”in hulâsası, İbrahim Hakkı Hazretleri'nin “Tefviznâme”sinde şöyle seslendirilmektedir: “Hak şerleri hayreyler / Sen sanma ki gayreyler / Ârif ânı seyr eyler / Mevlâ görelim neyler / Neylerse güzel eyler. Sen Hakk'a tevekkül ol / Tefviz et ve rahat bul / Sabreyle ve râzı ol / Mevlâ görelim neyler / Neylerse güzel eyler.”
