Andrew Douglas Tench, a 31-year-old resident of Belmont NC, was reported missing by his family on March 26, 2024. Tench was last seen on Sunday, March 24, 2024, around 11:30 pm, leaving his Belmont residence for Charlotte in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Monroe, NC. D'Shaun Montrell Robinson was arrested on several counts related to Andy Tench including disposing of his body in a dumpster. Robinson is currently working on a plea deal which, if granted, would most likely end up with time served. Andy Tench is a white male, approximately 5'05" tall, weighing about 135 lbs. In this episode of the Crack House Chronicles Donnie and Dale speak with two members of Crime Stoppers of Cleveland County NC, Jeff Yates and Sgt. Brad Benson. Cleveland County Crimestoppers is a non-profit organization that helps law enforcement obtain needed information for the investigation of crime. Crimestoppers is an independent board that works with law enforcement in gathering information and giving rewards for the information provided. The system for gathering this information keeps the caller completely anonymous and unknown to both the board and law enforcement. Cleveland County Crimestoppers provides information to all Cleveland County law enforcement agencies. Sergeant Brad Benson at the Shelby Police Department is responsible for gathering and distributing all tip information to the appropriate agencies and to provide information to the local board as the law enforcement coordinator for the board. The board meets monthly to discuss business and make recommendations or approve tips for the previous month. Crimestoppers play an important role in gathering needed information to extend cases for further investigation. All law enforcement agencies within Cleveland County are fortunate to have a local board that is willing to make an effort to reduce crime in our area. By scanning the QR Code below, a person is taken to the anonymous tip information page that will allow information, photos, and videos about a case to be uploaded to the police for their investigation. If the information helps solve a crime, the tipster may collect reward money paid by Crime Stoppers - all anonymously! We pay up to $1000 for such information dependent on the severity of the crime. In May 2019, Jennifer Dulos, mother of five, dropped her kids off at school, and then disappeared. She was last seen near her home in New Canaan, Connecticut. When she was reported missing by concerned family and friends, police went to the home to take a look, and found blood in the garage. Cindy moved to Virginia, USA in 1995 to live with her aunt and uncle, for better educational opportunities. On Halloween 2001 she went to a costume party with two close friends. They partied until 2am the next morning, when they left and stopped off at a friend's apartment to play video games. At 4am they dropped Cindy off at her apartment. She was never seen again. On December 15th, 2022, 11 year old Madalina Cojocari was reported missing in Cornelius, North Carolina. Her mother, Diana Cojocari, initially told the police that she last saw her daughter on the night of November 23rd. However, investigators soon discovered that nobody outside the family had seen Madalina after November 21st. This discrepancy raised suspicions, especially as it became apparent that Diana, along with her husband, Christopher Palmiter, were withholding crucial information, impeding the progress of the investigation. In this episode of the Crack House Chronicles Donnie and Dale discuss the unsolved murder of Chuck Porter and speak with his sister Crystal Porter. Born Charles "Chuck" Alvin Porter, Jr., he was 39 at the time of his murder. This took place on Sunday, September 26, 1993, at the Interstate 85 rest stop in Cleveland County. Mr. Porter was working at the rest stop as part of his employment with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He was found tied-up with a gunshot wound to the chest in the rest stop utility room. Witnesses reported seeing two young black men driving away toward I-85 southbound in a dark Volkswagen. Sketches of the two men were circulated, but have not produced any viable leads.
