Send us a textOn this week's episode we're delving into the past, present, and future of American cycling, with none other than former Tour de France podium finisher and current gran fondo organiser, Levi Leipheimer.A former teammate of Lance Armstrong's at US Postal, Astana, and RadioShack, Leipheimer was one of the leading American pros during an era when the United States was planted firmly at the summit of the sport. The stage racer and TT specialist finished third, behind teammate Alberto Contador, at one of the closest ever editions of the Tour de France in 2007, came second at the Vuelta, and won the Tour de Suisse and Dauphiné Libéré, as well as three consecutive editions of the Tour of California. However, Leipheimer's career came to an abrupt halt in 2012, after he confessed to doping for much of his career as part of the United States Anti-Doping Agency's case against Armstrong, which ultimately led to the Texan's lifetime ban.Since then, Leipheimer has spent his time helping young riders in California, as well as organising Levi's Gran Fondo, a mass participation event in Sonoma County which he started in 2009, raising over $3.2 million for at-risk youth, and announced this month that he plans to grow the event into the “richest” professional one-day race in the world. During a reflective, candid conversation, Leipheimer discusses the current state of America's domestic road racing landscape, how he hopes to breathe new life into it, the impact of his generation's widespread doping on the reputation of cycling in the States and the current racing malaise, his perspective on his own career, and how cycling in general deals with its past.

Armed American Radio's Daily Defense 10-21-24 UM campus gun free zone MI State Supreme Court refuses case and Neil McCabe on state of race for White House Today on Armed American Radio, Mark discusses University of Mi campus gun ban and how it encompasses vast swath of downtown Ann Arbor MI, because of the sheer size of the campus itself at over 3200 acres. The MI State Supreme Court refused to hear the challenge to the ban leaving it intact. Critics call it a violation of the Bruen decision because of the scope of the size of the campus itself making it nearly impossible to carry a gun anywhere in downtown Ann Arbor without violating the concealed carry ban. Comparing the ban on UM carry, Mark discussed the recent brief filed by the Second Amendment Foundation in support of summary judgement in the US Post Office carry ban recently filed in FT Worth TX, as CCW is also banned in US Postal facilities nationwide. This too, is also viewed a s a violation of the recent Bruen decision as it relates to the historical context of the founding era when no bans were in place is Postal Facilities. Mark was joined halfway through the program by political analyst Neil W. McCabe from RedState.com to discuss the current news regarding the upcoming US presidential elections, polling information and swing state movements toward Trump and away from Democrats. Barrack Obama being dispatched to WI was also discussed as  evidence of the desperation of the Harris campaign and fear of losing in that state, to Trump. Today's show opens with a revelation that hit social media and a few news outlets last night about missing documents and videos from the J6 Committee. I found this to be of keen interest, given Special Prosecutor Jack Smith has been in the news indicting Donald Trump on January 6 charges. Now, when Trump's lawyers will likely seek to subpoena those documents, the new Oversight subcommittee looking into the J6 Committee has discovered as much as half may be missing. To help shed some light on this, I invited US Congressman Barry Loudermilk, chair of the committee to discuss what they've found and the progress they've made. We chat about documents, videos, missing testimony from the Capitol police chief and more. We even talked about whistleblower protection laws and how hard it is for Republicans to get the truth out via a Legacy/mainstream media who is only interested in supporting Democrat narratives. I next move onto a story that broke yesterday from the state of Michigan. According to The Gateway Pundit, they reveal a story of massive 2020 voter fraud, including an estimated 800,000 ballot applications sent to non-qualified voters and tied to a Democrat-funded organization with multiple temporary facilities in several states. Why have you never heard about it? Because, once local police escalated to state police and the state's Attorney General, it was then referred to the FBI where it seems investigations go to die and evidence disappears – at least if it's tied to the Left. With all that fraud coming out in Michigan, I thought it might be nice to shift our focus to another battleground state. I play two back-to-back sound bites of people testifying under oath. One details ballot harvesting and intimidation in elder care and assisted living facilities, while the other was a US Postal worker ordered to “find mail-in ballots” hours after the polls had already closed and change their post-marked to before Nov 4. While we've been so focused on all of the indictment headlines, it looks like the US has just approved the first batch of M1A1 Abrams tanks to be shipped to Ukraine. Oh, and to anger President Putin further, they may be stocked with uranium depleted ammunition. Remember, Putin said he was pushed to move short-range, tactical nukes to Belarus after Canada sent depleted uranium ammunition to stock their tanks they sent to Ukraine earlier this summer. Speaking of distractions, while we keep getting sold a bill of goods called Bidenomics, one of the regimes green tech companies just declared bankruptcy. Biden lauded Proterra as innovators and pioneers of EV buses, but now it seems those buses will never see the light of day. All those tax-payer subsidies have gone up in a poof of smoke. And, while on the subject of buses, we need to spend a moment with our Vice President. To close the show, I bring you yet another installment of Deep Thoughts with VP Kamala Harris. Let's just say she loves school buses and loves electric school buses even more. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. Deborah has had the privilege of serving fresh, healthy foods and beverages to thousands of New Yorkers. In 2022, she launched Plant Powered Kitchen, a step-by-step roadmap to the essentials of plant-based nutrition which includes interactive online cooking classes. In this course Deborah shares her knowledge and skills of basic nutrition, kitchen equipment, cooking methods, shopping, planning, prepping, scheduling meals and of course, creating delicious plant-based recipes! Deborah champions a holistic approach to health and offers simple and effective tools that help her clients make realistic and manageable changes that add up to big results. In addition to her coaching programs, she has published a recipe book, Green Pirate Recipes: Volume 1 Juices, and a popular online course, Green Smoothies 101, which offers comprehensive lessons on how to incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables into your daily diet by making green smoothies. Food is fuel. It's not supposed to be used for entertainment, celebration, emotions, or anything other than to fuel our bodies. Living enzymes with life vitality force are in the whole foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains and nuts. A plant-based diet is also known as plant-forward or plant-prioritizing. This diet mostly plants. Most of the time. A vegan diet is a morally guided plan that won't consume any product or food made from animals including leather or honey. A success tip is to crowd out less healthy foods with vibrant, whole, fresh fruits and vegetables rather than focusing on cutting things out. In the United States, we're living longer lives, but we're living sicker lives. We are living in the "Age of Man Made Illness" as opposed to Paleolithic Age. Most of these illnesses are caused by stress and food choices. It's not normal to feel bad all the time. Every meal you are either feeding disease or fighting disease. One simple thing you can do is choose to consume foods that have a chemical reaction in your body that lowers cortisol. Cutting back on caffeine can reduce anxiety. Chamomile lowers cortisol in your body. Stress blocks your body's ability to absorb nutrients. Join Deborah's free masterclass - "Eat to Relieve Anxiety" The Brain-Gut Connection. The microbiome is your second brain. Your digestive system has millions of cells, and your gut promotes wellness throughout the body. It can be the birthplace of silent inflammation which breed other diseases. Mail theft and fraud.  He reminds everyone that if an offer is too good, it probably is, and he warned us against fake lotteries, work-at-home ofers, fraudulent charities, and romance schemes.  He asks everyone to stop before responding, ask a relative or trusted friend's advice and to just ‘Google' the sender and to report anything suspicious to the US Postmaster.    For tips and information on reporting a crime go to USPIS.GOV or call 877-876-2455
