In an odd sort of way, the first season of Ted Lasso is more Empire Strikes Back. Most everyone agrees that it's a solid banger all the way through and in spite of ending on a downer, there's still the hope of what's to come. So as we head into season two this week, I suppose this is either A New Hope or perhaps Revenge of the Sith, depending on where you stand with regards to the prominence of Nate the Great to the overall plot. Are you feeling down on the general state of the world? Feeling like you're losing faith in humanity? Ever since Rogue One, the galaxy far far away has been a bit of a mixed bag. For every Mandalorian, there is a Solo. And for every Ahsoka, there's a Rise Of Skywalker. So when a new animated show featuring everyone's favorite prequel jobber was announced, there was plenty of anticipation, mixed in with a healthy dose of trepidation. Now that we've had a chance to give it a watch, the sentiment seems to be nearly unanimous. With a Rotten Tomatoes score just under 100% and tons of critic and fan accolades, Maul: Shadow Lord is a blatant success.
