WBS: Happy Pride. #365 -- The gang is at it again. Brimstone is joined by his wing-man Alex DaPonte as they chat about the car humper from My Strange Addiction, and how he is now sleeping with a different vehicle, how a famous dog from social media was stolen, and then sold to a restaurant for meat. They chat about it being Pride Month, George Lucas' new museum opening in LA, and how the Mandolorian and Grogu was not too impressed. They discuss the Pride flag changing over the years, John Lithgow winning the Best Actor Award at 80 and how a huge overhaul is coming to Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. Brim explains what gets Within Brim's Skin.
This week on Fantastic Forum, we are heading from a galaxy far, far away to the blood-soaked battlefields of World War II with two major new releases. First up is The Mandalorian and Grogu, the next chapter in the Star Wars saga starring Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin alongside Grogu, the galaxy's favorite Force-sensitive foundling. Expanding the story beyond the Disney Plus series, the film promises larger scale action, new worlds, and dangerous enemies as the Mandalorian and Grogu continue their journey through a changing galaxy. We are breaking down the return of familiar faces, the future of this corner of Star Wars, and whether the jump from streaming to the big screen delivers the epic adventure fans are hoping for. Then we turn to Operation: Iron Coffin #1 from IDW, written by Kenny Porter with art by Tyrell Cannon. Set during World War II, the story follows a resurrected Dracula teaming with Allied forces on a desperate mission to stop a Nazi vampire plague from escaping a heavily fortified train packed with soldiers, monsters, and supernatural horrors. Mixing gothic horror, pulpy action, and wartime espionage, the series throws the legendary vampire into a brutal fight for redemption against an evil even greater than himself. Star Wars returns to the big screen with The Mandolorian and Grogu! Listen as Bryn and Troy discuss if the first Star Wars Movie in 7 years is the way or not.
It's Garrett's first Percolated Media Presents podcast in quite awhile, and boy did he pick a doozy to come back to, as there are many many things to talk about this week! He starts things off with a 15 minute observation about what the last weekend in box office means for both the short term and long term. He also goes into Steven Spielberg's appearance on The Rewatchables podcast earlier this week, and what the box office numbers mean for not only the sinking Mandolorian and Grogu. But also this week's Masters of the Universe and Spielberg's own Disclosure Day, opening June 12th. He then talks to director Jeremiah Kipp. Kipp's newly released film The Mortuary Assistant has been taking the top spot on channel Shudder's most watched film. Kipp goes over things like what got him interested in filmmaking, how he approached adapting a very popular video game, what it was like appearing on the popular podcast The Movie Crypt (RIP Arwen), and soooo much more. We think you'll find Kipp to be a tremendously nice guy and we look forward to what he does next! Garrett then concludes the podcast with a wrap up of today's show as well as previews of upcoming retrospectives. With so much going on in the movie world, we can't see Percolated Media Presents laying dormant for long! Songs: Intro: Wolf The Wolf You Feed by Nita Strauss (w/ Alissa White-Gluz) Outro: So Tired of Being Alone by Tarja Turunen (w/Schiller)

The Mandolorian and Grogu is a film continuation of the hit show and the first Star Wars movie since 2019 I talk about it on this podcast enjoy!
A big week here at Pixelsplitters, a lot is going on that needs to be discussed. The Cannes film festival was this past week, and it was a rather quiet affair compared to previous years. What does that mean for this year's film slate? Also, The Mandolorian and Grogu premiered this past holiday weekend to very little fanfare. Where did this franchise go wrong? Also also, Netflix is putting The Adventures of Cliff Booth in IMAX because reasons. Does this film need this release? Is this film going to do business with an IMAX release? And finally, rumor is IMAX is looking to sell. The premium-format company has been performing well financially for a couple of years now and may be looking for a buyer. Popular speculation lists Apple, Netflix, or Sony as potential suitors. Is this nessesary? Pixelsplitters is a conversation podcast that explores the film and tv news of the week, and examines where the film industry as a whole is headed. Sometimes we do Top 5 lists! Tune in weekly and nerd out with us.

I hovedrollen ser vi igen Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Fantastic Four), som skal ud på nye eventyr med Grogu.
