Ben and Ione are fresh off Ben's Tasmanian tour — and they have opinions. They break down their first encounter with actual Tasmanian devils (terrifying, zombie-like, cannot be explained), rave about Woolworths Flu Shot (a six-piece punk band from Hobart who just might be the best new band in Australia), and dissect the Butthole Surfers documentary The Whole Truth and Nothing But — asking the bigger question: is transgressive art always rooted in personal trauma?Plus: Richard Pryor's bisexuality and what it meant to be that openly queer as a Black performer in the 70s, Phoebe Bridgers' no-phones tour as a stroke of marketing genius, and a full decode of the Charli XCX Music Fashion Film album cover — what does choosing John Cale, Martin Scorsese, and Marc Jacobs actually say about where she's headed? Also: Ione reveals the four fictional characters she most identifies with (one of them is Woodstock from Peanuts), and Ben has early intel on Folk Bitch Trio, the Australian band about to blow up internationally.Take a deeper dive into our world at https://weirdertogether.substack.com
THE BOOK OF RUTH| GOD'S RESTORATION PLAN| Preservation and Prospective Living| Discipleship |Session-48| 2026| CHIMDI OHAHUNA The Power of Honest Disclosure: Integrity Before Partnership In this thought-provoking episode of the RUTH Series, we examine one of the most profound moments in Naomi's conversation with Ruth, a moment marked by realism, integrity, and selfless honesty. Rather than making promises she could not fulfill, Naomi openly revealed her limitations, her advanced age, and the realities surrounding her future prospects. Through this encounter, we uncover timeless lessons about leadership, relationships, partnerships, and personal responsibility. This episode explores the biblical principle of being "unequally yoked" beyond its commonly discussed context, revealing how unequal capacities, unresolved limitations, and hidden realities can place unfair burdens on relationships and partnerships. Naomi's transparency serves as a model of integrity, demonstrating the importance of full disclosure before entering any covenant, commitment, or life-altering decision. We also examine the demands of spiritual leadership and the dangers faced by leaders who attempt to shepherd others without being properly shepherded themselves. Drawing insights from the lives of Moses and other biblical figures, we discuss why communion with God must remain the foundation of effective leadership and why faith in God must always precede faith in any human vessel. Through practical illustrations and biblical insights, this episode challenges listeners to embrace honesty over pretense, realism over false expectations, and integrity over convenience. Whether in ministry, marriage, business, or personal relationships, lasting success is built upon truth, transparency, and a clear understanding of both strengths and limitations. Join Chimdi Ohahuna as we uncover how Naomi's candid counsel to Ruth teaches believers the value of realistic expectations, responsible partnerships, and unwavering trust in God. Discover why genuine integrity may sometimes sound discouraging in the moment, yet often becomes the foundation upon which God performs His greatest miracles. Key Lessons from this Episode: • The necessity of being spiritually shepherded before leading others. • Why belief in God must come before reliance on spiritual leaders. • The dangers and burdens of unequal partnerships. • The importance of honesty and full disclosure in relationships and marriage. • How integrity protects destinies and strengthens covenant relationships. • Why realistic assessments create room for divine intervention. Listen, reflect, and be transformed as we continue our journey through the remarkable story of Ruth and the enduring lessons it offers for every believer today. Jesus is Lord.

If someone asked you right now what you want — not what's for dinner, not what everyone else needs — could you answer? For a lot of women, the honest answer is no. Not because you don't have wants, needs, and desires. Because somewhere along the way you learned that having them was inconvenient, and you got so good at editing yourself that you stopped noticing you were doing it. In this episode, we slow down and get honest about the difference between a need, a want, and a desire — three words we use interchangeably and mean completely differently. We talk about how chronic self-abandonment trains your nervous system to flag your own needs as dangerous, why "I don't know what I want" is less about not knowing and more about learned invisibility, and what it actually feels like when your body has been keeping score long before your mind was willing to look. This is the episode about coming back to yourself. Not dramatically. Not all at once. Starting with one true answer to one honest question — and building from there. Because the relationships in your life can only be as real as you are willing to be in them.

You know that moment after a breakup when you find yourself going back to their photos. Not all of them, just the best ones. The trips, the laughs, the versions of you that felt happiest together. And before you even realize it, it starts to feel like you lost something perfect. This is about that moment. The quiet spiral where you begin to question your decision, wondering if you made a mistake, where the relationship in your memory starts to feel better than it actually was. Jay breaks down what’s really happening there. Your mind is editing the past, holding onto the highlights while slowly letting go of the reasons it didn’t work. The arguments, the doubts, the patterns that hurt you all start to fade. So what you’re missing isn’t the full relationship. It’s a curated version of it. Jay unpacks why heartbreak can feel so overwhelming. It’s not just emotional, it’s biological. Your brain responds to the loss like withdrawal, craving the connection it got used to, which is why checking their profile or replaying old conversations can feel almost impossible to resist. Even deeper than that, Jay explains how breakups often tap into something older, patterns of attachment, fears of being left, or the need to feel chosen. When you think you’re missing them, part of what you’re really feeling is the loss of security, identity, and the version of yourself that existed in that relationship. In this episode you'll learn: How to Stop Romanticizing Your Ex How to Break the Late-Night Thought Spiral How to Let Go Without Losing Yourself How to Resist the Urge to Check Their Socials How to Heal Without Reaching Out How to Rebuild Your Identity After a Breakup If you’re in that space right now, missing them, questioning everything, going back and forth in your mind, just know this: what you’re feeling is real, but it doesn’t mean the story you’re telling yourself is true. It means you cared, you attached, and now you’re learning how to let go. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Millions of people watched the Michael Jackson biopic opening weekend and walked out smiling. Millions more read the allegations from his so-called second family and felt their stomachs drop. And almost nobody is holding both of those experiences in their hands at the same time. That's what this series does.I'm launching a five-part investigation into the accusations against Michael Jackson. Not a condemnation. Not a defense. An evidence piece. Every debunked claim gets called out. Every legitimate question gets asked. Every financial transaction gets examined. Because here's what I've noticed about this story: the people defending Jackson have financial incentives to keep the narrative clean, and the people accusing him have financial incentives to keep the narrative ugly. Nobody in this story is telling you the whole truth. And the audience — the people streaming the music, buying the tickets, reading the headlines — deserve better than being asked to pick a side without seeing the full picture. This first episode lays out the landscape. The scope of the accusations. The pattern of settlements and reversals. The biopic's own production drama. And the editorial promise that holds this entire series together: we're not going to insult your intelligence by pretending this is simple. The evidence points in both directions. The question is whether you're willing to sit with that.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Some voices today try to make Christianity “easier” by removing whatever feels uncomfortable—reducing the faith to a few agreeable points and ignoring the rest. In this episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef explains why that approach doesn't produce stronger believers—it produces weaker ones. Jesus Himself affirmed the Old Testament, including accounts like Noah and Jonah (Matthew 24:37; Matthew 12:40). That means we cannot claim to believe in Jesus while dismissing what He declared to be true. Scripture isn't a buffet. If the Bible records Christ's virgin birth, His miracles, His cross, and His resurrection, we don't get to select the parts we prefer and discard the rest. Dr. Youssef then turns to Jude, who urged Christians to “contend for the faith” (Jude 1:3). Truth does not shift with the times—and when we forget the magnitude of God's grace toward us, our faith grows thin and our witness loses strength. But when we hold fast to the Gospel, we submit to Christ fully, trust every Word He affirmed, and stand firm—even in a culture that pressures compromise. Prayer: Father, help me cling firmly to Your Gospel and trust and obey Your Word—contending for Truth. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, To those who have been called, . . .” (Jude 1:1). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Youssef's sermon series Truth: The Most Endangered Species: LISTEN NOW The voice you hear on the MY Devotional podcast is digitally generated with Dr. Youssef's permission. If today's devotional stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don't have to walk through it alone.

Key Truth: Christ followers trust God's Word to reveal half-truths.Key Verse: Matthew 4:5–7Summary: The devil tempts Jesus to give in to the pride of life to test that God is with him in a powerful way. Jesus overcame the temptation by refusing to put himself in a dangerous situation to test God's faithfulness. Followers of Jesus must personally know God's Word in order to recognize the half-truths that lead us to test God and doubt his presence with us._________________________________Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.com

Can the truth be both our salvation and our damnation, depending on how desperately we need to escape ourselves? "Nervous Man in a Four Dollar Room" follows small-time hood Jackie Rhoades as he confronts his reflection in a mirror that forces him to face his true self and choose between continuing his criminal life or finding redemption. Meanwhile, "The Whole Truth" centers on a used car salesman who acquires a cursed car that compels anyone who owns it to tell nothing but the absolute truth, ultimately destroying his dishonest livelihood and forcing him to confront his own moral bankruptcy. Both episodes we explore this month demonstrate the transformative power of brutal honesty and self-examination, presenting truth as both a burden and a liberating force. Jackie's mirror reflection becomes his conscience, literally arguing with him about his life choices and pushing him toward moral awakening, while Harvey Hunnicut's truth-telling car strips away the comfortable lies that built his career. These stories suggest that authentic change requires facing uncomfortable realities about ourselves, and that sometimes external forces—whether supernatural mirrors or cursed automobiles—must intervene to break through our self-deception and push us toward the people we're meant to become. Jordan Maxwell deconstructs the hidden foundations of Western civilization, from the esoteric origins of religious dogma to the "legal rackets" that govern modern society.Maxwell dives deep into etymology and symbology, revealing how the words we use every day—like "Church," "God," and "Attorney"—carry hidden meanings designed to manipulate public consciousness. Discover why the legal system refers to citizens as "wards of the court," the shocking connection between Hollywood and Druidic magic wands, and the ancient Egyptian link to the "Dog Star" Sirius. This episode is a masterclass in occult history, challenging everything you think you know about the 10 Commandments, the Roman legal system, and the true meaning of "understanding."Key Topics Covered:Legal Deception: Why hiring an attorney legally classifies you as a "person of unsound mind."The Etymology of "Church": From the Roman goddess Mother Circe to the Scottish "Kirk."Hollywood's Secret: The Druidic origin of "Holly Wood" and its connection to magic wands. The Moon Cult: Moses, the 10 Commandments, and the ancient lunar worship of the Hebrews. The Dog Star Connection: How Sirius, Osiris, and the "Dog Star" shaped the word "God."Political Servitude: How sex, drugs, and entertainment are used as tools to reconcile citizens to their loss of freedom. Keywords:Jordan Maxwell, Occult History, Esoteric Wisdom, Etymology, Secret Societies, Roman Law, Black's Law Dictionary, Ancient Egypt, Sirius Dog Star, Druids, Hollywood Magic, 10 Commandments, Moses Moon Cult, Legal Rackets, Corpus Juris Secundum, TruthSeekah, Global Elite, Hidden Symbols.Jordan Maxwell has spent his life exploring the unseen architecture of reality, the symbols, stories, and cosmic forces that shape humanity from the shadows. His work bridges astrotheology, ancient religions, secret societies, extraterrestrial encounters, aliens, UFOs and the esoteric foundations of Christianity, revealing a universe far stranger and more interconnected than most ever imagine. For decades, Jordan illuminated how the heavens guided ancient mythmakers, how sacred texts concealed astronomical and spiritual codes, and how non-human intelligences have accompanied humanity since the dawn of time. His work shows that behind every religious ritual, political symbol, and celestial myth lies a deeper truth waiting to be uncovered. Jordan Maxwell is not just a researcher, he is a keeper of forgotten knowledge. His teachings, interviews and lectures continue to inspire seekers who feel the pull toward hidden wisdom, cosmic spirituality, and the mysteries that bind heaven, earth, and the worlds beyond.Spirit Realm: Angels Demons, Spirits and the Sovereignty of God (Foreword by Jordan Maxwell) https://amzn.to/31g9ydR
Guided Question Which of the four "Christian parties" do I naturally lean toward—and how might that strength become a weakness if not balanced by the full truth of Christ? Summary In 1 Corinthians 1:10–17, Paul addresses divisions in the Corinthian church, where members aligned themselves with various Christian leaders—Paul, Apollos, Cephas, and even Christ. The sermon explores how each group represented a legitimate spiritual emphasis but became distorted when isolated. The Paul group overemphasized grace (libertarianism), Apollos's group prioritized intellect (intellectualism), Cephas's followers clung to rules (legalism), and those claiming Christ alone often became overly spiritual (spiritual elitism). The key message is that each party held a portion of truth, but apart from one another, those truths became exaggerated and divisive. Unity in the body of Christ requires humility, mutual submission, and a cross-centered life where self-interest is surrendered to Christ. Outline 1. The Context of Division (1 Corinthians 1:10–13) Paul appeals for unity, calling out the division caused by loyalty to different leaders. Central question: “Has Christ been divided?” 2. The Four "Parties" in Corinth a. Pauline Party – Libertarians Emphasis: Grace and freedom. Strength: Trust in God's forgiveness. Weakness: Abusing freedom and excusing sin. b. Apollos Party – Intellectuals Emphasis: Wisdom, eloquence, and theology. Strength: Serious study and reflection. Weakness: Pride, indecision, and superiority. c. Cephas (Peter) Party – Legalists Emphasis: Action, tradition, and decisiveness. Strength: Moral clarity and conviction. Weakness: Simplistic solutions, rigidity, legalism. d. Christ Party – Spiritualists Emphasis: Direct spiritual revelation. Strength: Deep devotion and divine dependence. Weakness: Lack of accountability, subjectivism. 3. Application to Practical Issues in the Church Each group interprets key issues differently based on its core lens: Speaking in tongues Church discipline Eating and drinking Role of women These interpretations reveal how imbalance fosters division. 4. The Call to the Cross (1 Corinthians 1:17) Paul reminds the church that he came to preach the gospel, not to gain followers. The gospel is centered on the cross—self-denial, unity, and Christ-centered living. The cross should draw believers together, not push them apart. Key Takeaways Every group held part of the truth—but partial truth, when isolated, becomes distortion. Unity in the church does not mean uniformity, but mutual submission and love. The cross is the ultimate model of self-denial—it unites, humbles, and transforms. Mature believers listen, reflect, and respect others before reacting. Divisions in the church often arise from personal pride, not pure theology. Real spiritual maturity is marked by a willingness to die to self and live for others. Scriptural References 1 Corinthians 1:10–17 – Paul addresses divisions and calls for unity. Philippians 2:3–5 – Consider others more important than yourself. Galatians 2:11–14 – Paul confronts Peter about falling into legalism. Philippians 3:4–9 – Paul counts all accomplishments as loss for Christ. John 17:20–23 – Jesus prays for the unity of His followers. Romans 14:1–13 – Do not judge each other in matters of personal conviction. Ephesians 4:1–6 – Maintain unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Luke 9:23–24 – Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Jesus. Recorded 4/5/81

Y'all always say the truest, most beautiful, hardest things. Honestly, I'm always grateful for your courage to come on this show and say your thing out loud.” – Jen Hatmaker “I didn't know Jen was about to curl up in my cave and hold me close. I didn't know her story, which I expected to be irrelevant to mine, would tell me that I am okay, normal, and I won't stay this way.” – Anonymous reader/listener “The best teachers don't tell, they show. Although you say this book is not prescriptive and you're not telling us what to do, you've shown us how to live a life and get through hard things with integrity, honesty, discretion, and strength. You've shown us how to take responsibility and ownership of our own shit. Your friends have shown us how to show up fully and unconditionally. Beautiful examples of love and friendship. Your family has shown us how to be there as an unwavering and loving presence to get through their hardest things.” Reader/listener, Denise “My life broke apart too and thankfully I had friendships to fall back on. It wasn't a thing where I was grateful in hindsight. I was able to be grateful for it in the moment, which is not typically how stories unfold.” – Anonymous reader/listener Resources Mentioned in This Episode: Awake: A Memoir by Jen Hatmaker - https://amzn.to/3KDAalt 107 Days by Kamala Harris - https://amzn.to/47aZ6tb Poems & Prayers by Matthew McConaughey - https://amzn.to/473gy1Q Fierce, Free and Full of Fire: The Guide to Being Glorious You by Jen Hatmaker - https://amzn.to/48jrtXg Emily P. We're quick to spot the truth in other people's choices: “If he would just manage his time better…” “If she'd finish one thing before starting the next…” But when it comes to our own patterns? The truth feels harder to see — and even harder to admit. In this episode, I'm digging into the critical practice of telling yourself the truth — the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Because the stories we tell ourselves don't have to be true to shape our lives. They just have to go unopposed. You'll hear: Why it's easier to analyze their problems than to face our own How “permissive phrases” like “I'll start tomorrow” or “I need this to take the edge off” quietly run the show A client story that shows exactly how to challenge vague justifications and uncover the truth The difference between evaluation (judging yourself) and coaching (creating a way forward) A simple 3-step challenge to practice radical honesty and break free from excuses and procrastination If you've ever wondered why you keep starting over, why you feel stuck in cycles of “I'll do better tomorrow,” or why it's so much easier to see solutions for other people than for yourself — this episode will be a game-changer. ✨ Your breakthrough is on the other side of one question: “What's the truth here?”
