The theories of unrestrained executive power guiding the Trump administration's assault on the administrative state and its attitude toward the federal judiciary draw on a far-right intellectual tradition. The thrust of these ideas is that the president must be able to exercise emergency powers and that neither Congress nor the courts should stand in his way. In this episode, political theorist Damon Linker explains the origins of the ideas driving Trump 2.0. Linker writes Notes From the Middleground newsletter on Substack. Dear listeners We are in sura 36 Yaseen also called the Heart of the Quran
Teaching Text - Revelation 21:1-22:5Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had ceased to exist, and the sea existed no more. 2 And I saw the holy city—the new Jerusalem—descending out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Look! The residence of God is among human beings. He will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more—or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.”5 And the one seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new!” Then he said to me, “Write it down, because these words are reliable and true.” 6 He also said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one who is thirsty I will give water free of charge from the spring of the water of life. 7 The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8 But as for the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.”9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb!” 10 So he took me away in the Spirit to a huge, majestic mountain and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. 11 The city possesses the glory of God; its brilliance is like a precious jewel, like a stone of crystal-clear jasper. 12 It has a massive, high wall with twelve gates, with twelve angels at the gates, and the names of the twelve tribes of the nation of Israel are written on the gates. 13 There are three gates on the east side, three gates on the north side, three gates on the south side and three gates on the west side. 14 The wall of the city has twelve foundations, and on them are the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.15 The angel who spoke to me had a golden measuring rod with which to measure the city and its foundation stones and wall. 16 Now the city is laid out as a square, its length and width the same. He measured the city with the measuring rod at 1,400 miles (its length and width and height are equal). 17 He also measured its wall, 144 cubits according to human measurement, which is also the angel's. 18 The city's wall is made of jasper and the city is pure gold, like transparent glass. 19 The foundations of the city's wall are decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation is jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates are twelve pearls—each one of the gates is made from just one pearl! The main street of the city is pure gold, like transparent glass.22 Now I saw no temple in the city, because the Lord God—the All-Powerful—and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God lights it up, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 The nations will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur into it. 25 Its gates will never be closed during the day (and there will be no night there). 26 They will bring the grandeur and the wealth of the nations into it, 27 but nothing ritually unclean will ever enter into it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or practices falsehood, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life—water as clear as crystal—pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 flowing down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river is the tree of life producing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month of the year. Its leaves are for the healing of the nations. 3 And there will no longer be any curse, and the throne of God and the Lamb will be in the city. His servants will worship him, 4 and they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 Night will be no more, and they will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever. The Apostles' CreedI believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Teaching Text - Revelation 1:8-188 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God—the one who is, and who was, and who is still to come—the All-Powerful!9 I, John, your brother and the one who shares with you in the persecution, kingdom, and endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony about Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day when I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, 11 saying: “Write in a book what you see and send it to the seven churches—to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”12 I turned to see whose voice was speaking to me, and when I did so, I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands was one like a son of man. He was dressed in a robe extending down to his feet and he wore a wide golden belt around his chest. 14 His head and hair were as white as wool, even as white as snow, and his eyes were like a fiery flame. 15 His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp double-edged sword extended out of his mouth. His face shone like the sun shining at full strength. 17 When I saw him I fell down at his feet as though I were dead, but he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last, 18 and the one who lives! I was dead, but look, now I am alive—forever and ever—and I hold the keys of death and of Hades! Each name of Allah is a manifestation of His perfection. His (swt) attributes are beyond human comprehension. When we invoke Allah using His names in our Duas…We're not merely uttering words but tapping into the essence of His attributes. Whether we call upon Him as Al-Rahman (the Most Merciful) or Al-Qadir (the All-Powerful), we're acknowledging His sovereignty over all creation and seeking His aid with humility and reverence. In it, we beseech Allah by His beautiful names. Who better to call during our lowest points in life?Furthermore, let us reflect on the common phrase ""God is love."" While some phrases like “God is love” may carry good intentions, they fall short of capturing the entirety of Allah's majesty. Yes, Allah is indeed Al-Wadud (the All-Loving), but to reduce Him to a mere abstract concept like love is to diminish His greatness. Let's not forget to approach Allah with the utmost reverence and awe, acknowledging His names and attributes in their fullness.Let's never underestimate the power of invoking Allah through His names. Take a moment to reflect on the power of Allah's attributes and choose His names carefully. May Allah guide us on this path of enlightenment and bless us with His mercy and grace. Ameen"
December 13, 2024Today's Reading: Revelation 1:1-20Daily Lectionary: Isaiah 29:15-30:14, Revelation 1:1-20“To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood…” (Revelation 1:5b)In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. A man in my congregation was a renowned high school basketball coach and the son of a Lutheran pastor. He had a collection of wise sayings, and one of my favorites was this: “There are some things in the Bible I can't understand, but there are many things I can't misunderstand.” That's a great saying to keep in mind when reading the last book of the Bible. The book of Revelation is notoriously difficult to interpret. Bible scholars and churchmen throughout the ages disagree on what every last symbol or image refers to. That can be frustrating when you really want to know what every word means. But even though some details elude us, there are many things you “can't misunderstand.”For example, in the first chapter, it is clear that John was given a prophecy from God, and all who read it and take it to heart will be blessed. It is also unmistakably clear that John is living with the expectation that Christ's return in glory is imminent, and he wants Christians to be prepared for that day. He also wants them to know how great and glorious our Lord Jesus is, and this is perhaps the best part of this book, namely, what it tells us about Jesus. In this introduction, we learn that Jesus is the firstborn of the dead, the ruler of the kings on earth. He loves us, He has set us free from our sins by His blood, and at His coming, every eye will see Him. He is eternal and almighty, the Alpha and Omega, who was and is and is to come. And John's description of Jesus' appearance is striking! He is powerful, glorious, and terrifying. No wonder John fell at his feet as though dead when he saw Him.In the four gospels, we read of the great mercy that Jesus shows and demonstrates to those desperately in need, while in Revelation, Jesus is described as an all-powerful judge. But the two are one and the same. The Almighty and eternal Son of Man is the one who loves us and humbled Himself for us. The timeless one without beginning or end entered into time and was born of the Virgin Mary. No one less than the King of Heaven came down and died for us to free us from our sins. The All-Powerful judge who holds the keys of Death and Hades is, for us, a suffering servant who opens heaven to all who believe.I may not fully understand a number of things about the Lord Jesus Christ, but when it comes to His love for us, I cannot misunderstand. In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.Ev'ry eye shall now behold Him Robed in glorious majesty; Those who set at naught and sold Him, Pierced and nailed Him to the tree, Deeply wailing, deeply wailing, deeply wailing, Shall their true Messiah see. Teaching Text - Revelation 4; 7:9-11After these things I looked, and there was a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said: “Come up here so that I can show you what must happen after these things.” 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit, and a throne was standing in heaven with someone seated on it! 3 And the one seated on it was like jasper and carnelian in appearance, and a rainbow looking like it was made of emerald encircled the throne. 4 In a circle around the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on those thrones were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white clothing and had golden crowns on their heads. 5 From the throne came out flashes of lightning and roaring and crashes of thunder. Seven flaming torches, which are the seven spirits of God, were burning in front of the throne 6 and in front of the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal. In the middle of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second creature like an ox, the third creature had a face like a man's, and the fourth creature looked like an eagle flying. 8 Each one of the four living creatures had six wings and was full of eyes all around and inside. They never rest day or night, saying:“Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God, the All-Powerful,Who was and who is, and who is still to come!”9 And whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders throw themselves to the ground before the one who sits on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever, and they offer their crowns before his throne, saying:11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,to receive glory and honor and power, since you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created!”After these things I looked, and here was an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands. 10 They were shouting out in a loud voice,“Salvation belongs to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!”11 And all the angels stood there in a circle around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground before the throne and worshiped God,
Kris quickly leads us into the essence of Theology: by asking such questions as: What is the nature of God? If there is a God - or Gods - does it provide an answer to the question - What is the meaning and purpose of my life? What is our relationship - as human beings - to God? If there is a God, what relationship should we have with each other? ...and what relationship should we have with animals and with Nature? If there is an ideal, ethical way to behave, what happens if we fall short? ....and what has God got to do with that? What is the relevance of God to the end of this individual earthly existence which each one of us faces? And then there is the Epicurian paradox: "If God is All Knowing, All Powerful, and Good - then how can suffering, let alone Evil be allowed to exist? Why are we even talking about God? ...Or Godness? Contrary to many Faith traditions that provide answers to such theological questions, with certainty and conviction, Kris's Unitarian approach is more nuanced. And he leaves us with a challenge for the week. Do listen on!

In episode #125, Oliver continues the Big Book Awakening series by reading from Chapter 4, We Agnostics, page 48, "The prosaic steel girder is a mass of electrons whirling around each other at incredible speed. These tiny bodies are governed by precise laws, and these laws hold true throughout the material world. Science tells us so. We have no reason to doubt it. When, however, the perfectly logical assumption is suggested that underneath the material world and life as we see it, there is an All Powerful, Guiding, Creative Intelligence, right there our perverse streak comes to the surface and we laboriously set out to convince ourselves it isn't so."
Psalms 14:1 says, “The fool hath said in his heart, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” I remember once talking to a couple whose home I was selling. They were both professors at a major university, and very proud of their educations. The subject of God came up, and they actually laughed at the concept of God. They said that a person had to be uneducated to believe in fairy tales. I remember fearing for them. I pictured Judgment Day when they are standing before a Holy, Omnipotent, All Powerful, Almighty God. How foolish they will feel and how terrified they will be as their words are played back for them. Listen as Bill and Annette describe the danger of making foolish assumptions about God and hell. Hello! Pastor Doug is continuing our Altars Of Prayer series by encouraging us to think of how our prayers connect with the All-Powerful, Sovereign God.
The Conditional Promises of GodOne familiar “if / then” passage, often called the “believer's bar of soap,” is found in the first chapter of the first letter of John. In it, we find one “if” condition and two implied “then” promises God grants to those who meet His one “if” condition. And the two promises of God encompass the totality of salvation this side of heaven, both our justification and our sanctification. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – 1 John 1:9What Does it Say?Let's see exactly what it says.If (the condition, something we must do in order to receive the promise) we (this includes you and me, make it personal, put your name here) confess (homologous – to admit, concede, to affirm or agree) our (it is inclusive, everyone has something to confess to a holy God) sins (hamartía – offense, wrongdoing, failure, fault, it is an act or feeling that transgresses something forbidden or ignores something required by God's law, whether in thought, feeling, speech, or action. Literally, it means to miss the mark or the true end and purpose of our lives, which is God. And note, the word is plural, as in more than one sin),This is the condition prescribed by God. It is something we must do, a non-negotiable, if we want to receive the promise that comes from meeting the condition. And, by His grace, it is something we can do.Next, the Spirit, through John, lists only two of God's infinite attributes as proof of the truth of His promise: faithful and just.He (God, the Sovereign One, Eternal, All-Powerful, All-Knowing, Always-Present, Creator of All, of which there is no One higher, no One more glorious, no One more beautiful or of greater worth, and there is no more lofty goal in which to devote one's life than to have a deep, intimate, relationship with Him) is (His current attributes) faithful (pistós – worthy of belief, trust, or confidence, sure, steadfast, of true fidelity) and (of all God's immeasurable attributes, the Spirit, through John, lists only these two, as if they are enough, already more than we can handle) just (díkaios – righteous, correct, perfect, upright in everything, without error, free from favoritism, self-interest, bias, or deception)And now, after stating His conditions and His attributes, the Spirit reveals the two promises or results we can rest assured of after we meet the conditions. Note, because He is “faithful and just” and does not show favoritism or bias, these promises are for everyone, including you, who “confess” their sins, no matter how great those sins may be, how unworthy you may feel, or how many times you have tried and failed in the past. To Him, it doesn't matter— every day is a new beginning.First Promise: Forgiveness (Justification)to forgive (aphíēmi – to send forth or away, to stop blaming or taking an offense into account, to leave, release, let go, dismiss. God, in effect, chooses, based on our confession, to send our sins and the consequences of them away from Himself and us, to no longer blame us for our offenses, to release, let go, and dismiss the consequences of our sins as if they never happened. We are now free from their condemnation, guilt, and shame – see Romans 8:33-34) us our (again, inclusive, which means you and me. Make it personal, put your name here) sins (plural, the sins...
Emmanuel ("God with us") was the title given to Jesus at His birth. I believe it could change everything! Join us this Christmas Eve as we explore some fascinating implications from the classic carol: O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.

God is ALL POWERFUL, ALL KNOWING, EVER PRESENT, and ETERNAL. If He is anything less, He wouldn't be God. God being God, is reason enough to worship Him. Fall in love with God all over again as you hear that He is “ALL THAT!”
This may seem like an unusual title. How can sin be a “blessing?” True, strictly speaking sin is an offense against God and has the effect of separating us from God. Thus, sin is not a blessing in the strict sense. But God is All-Powerful and can use everything for His glory, even our sin. Sin could be spoken of as a blessing only in the sense that when we see our sins, acknowledge them, humble ourselves before God and beg for His Mercy, He bestows it in superabundance. In the end, the effects of the humility of repentance do far greater good than the damage done through sin. God can repair the damage immediately, and when He does so, He offers a Mercy that not only heals but also elevates us closer to His Heart. Allow your sin to be turned into a blessing by the power of God and you will be amazed at His endless Mercy (See Diary #1293).Reflect upon the attitude you have in regard to your sin. Too often you may deny your sin, justify it or turn a blind eye to it. This is a profound mistake for two reasons. First, doing this keeps you from repenting. Second, a failure to humbly repent leaves you without the abundant Mercy of God. Foster within your heart a burning desire to see every sin you commit. Seek to become aware of every sin, even the smallest imperfections. Attentiveness even to your spiritual imperfections will enable you to humble yourself before God in such a way that your honesty and thoroughness will bring countless blessings to your life. Lord Jesus, Son of God, have Mercy on me a sinner. Lord, I do see my sin but I also realize that I do not see it clearly enough. Please give me the grace to see my every sin, even the slightest imperfection, and then give me the grace to humbly repent with a sincere and contrite heart. I trust in Your abundance of Mercy, dear Lord. Jesus, I trust in You. Source of content: www.divinemercy.lifeCopyright © 2023 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. For example, meeting with the president of a company you wish to work at, or meeting someone famous for the first time, or meeting with the bishop or the Holy Father may all cause a certain excitement. But it could also cause a certain fear and anxiety. Of course the most important and “influential” person you will ever meet is your God. God is Omnipotent and Omniscient, that is, All-Powerful and All-Knowing. He is also All-Loving and, in that perfect love, descends from His throne of grace and majesty to converse with you, to care for you, and to fulfill every need that you have. He comes to fill you with the abundance of joy. Each “meeting” with our Lord must be one of great excitement in that it must be taken seriously, with attention and love being offered back to this most important Person you will ever come to know (See Diary #885).What is your interior experience when you go to Him in prayer? Is it an encounter in which you are overly casual and unprepared? Is it an encounter that gives you fear and anxiety, looking for ways to avoid Him? Or do you allow yourself to be comforted and consoled by the fact that the God of the Universe cares for you enough to step down from His throne of grace and converse with you in your weakness and sin? The Lord's perfect humility should delight and amaze you and give you courage to turn to Him with your whole heart.Lord, I am amazed at Your love for me. You who are the God of the Universe come to me in my weakness and sin. You are attentive to me and offer the perfect care of a loving Father. Help me to always be in awe of the humility You manifest as You descend from Your throne of grace and enter my soul. Jesus, I trust in You. Imagine being All-Powerful, or being an intimate friend of one who is All-Powerful. There is a story of Pope St. Leo I, who lived in the fifth century, which reveals the power of God. It is said that Attila the Hun and his violent army sought to sack Rome. Pope St. Leo met Attila and “persuaded” him to turn back. Later, when Attila's army asked why he turned back, Attila stated that he had been alarmed by a figure dressed as a priest who stood at the pope's side. This figure was holding a drawn sword and acted as if he would strike Attila dead if he advanced. In fear, Attila turned around and left. This short story reveals the power of God to defend us against all wickedness. Though an angel may not appear in physical form next to you, you can be assured that if you are immersed in the Mercy of God, there is nothing you need to fear. All the powers of Heaven will be on your side. The Lord will defend you against every evil and will give you strength to accomplish all that gives Him glory (See Diary #858).Reflect, today, upon two things: 1) Your unity with Christ; 2) The power that flows from that unity. Do you trust that the Lord will protect you from all evil? Do you realize that fear is useless when you have faith and are clothed with the Mercy of God? Reflect upon this fact and surrender yourself more fully to the Lord who must become your Sole Commander in life.My Lord and my Sole Commander, I trust You with my life. I entrust to You my whole being, especially all things that tempt me to fear. Give me confidence in Your Divine Mercy and help me to rely upon You in all things without reserve. Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: www.divinemercy.lifeCopyright © 2023 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. Used with permission via RSS feed.

Little children can't wait to grow up. When they have a birthday, they are filled with joy that they are one year older. And yet, as little children, they are still dependent upon their parents in many ways. The same is true of us in a spiritual sense. We often want to “grow up” and to become great saints, attaining great things for God. And yet, we must often remind ourselves that we are still children. In our “littleness” before God, we are now and ever will be fully dependent upon Him for all our needs. Recognizing this fact is essential to becoming a great saint and growing in holiness. We become great by becoming small (See Diary #779).Reflect upon your littleness before God. Compared to the glory and power of the Almighty, we are small and weak. But God sees our littleness and He desires that we run to Him in complete confidence. Entrust yourself to His Mercy and run to Him. Realize that it is only by humbly admitting your total dependence upon Him that you are made strong through His embrace. Lord, I do run to You and cling to You in my need. You are All-Powerful and glorious beyond measure. May I rely upon You in all things and continually seek You with my whole being. Jesus, I trust in You. David begins Psalm 27 by declaring “The Lord, the Almighty, All-Powerful, Most Holy and Sovereign One who cares about me is my light and is the only one I choose to follow!” That simple statement declared to the world David's willful, intentional, purposeful decision to daily turn his back on King Me and follow the only One who can show him how to navigate through life. What about you? Are you willing, are you able, are you ready to make that same declaration? “Do not be afraid; just have faith” (Mark 5:36). These four words, “Do not be afraid,” are spoken countless times throughout the Scripture. We should pay attention to them. Fear can paralyze us and lead us into many forms of foolish thinking and acting. The person who acts out of fear truly acts like a fool. That may seem harsh at first, but it's not if you understand what it means. It simply means that a person acting out of fear cannot act rationally. Fear does great damage to a person's ability to stay calm, remain focused and think clearly. That's why the Scriptures speak so directly regarding this important spiritual point. Fear must give way to faith and trust in God (See Diary #626-627).What is it that causes you the most anxiety, worry and fear? It's a struggle we all deal with. There is no shame in admitting it. So what is it? Identify that which overwhelms you the most and you will identify that which God wants you to surrender in trust the most. Go to the heart of the struggle. Sincerely place that worry and fear into the Hands of God and trust. Trust that God is All-Powerful and capable of handling every situation. He may not change things the way you think they should be changed, but He will lift your burden and enable you to move forward without the fear that can easily paralyze and confuse you. Do not let fear dominate your life. Trust in God and let that trust transform you.Jesus, I do want to trust You and to entrust all my many burdens to You. I especially turn to You with (pause and state that which causes the most fear and anxiety). Please enter into this burden and lift it by Your gentle hand, replacing it with peace and great inner calm. Jesus, I trust in You. Joseph Murphy was a great teacher of the inner meaning of psalms. In previous episodes we have discussed Psalm 23 as well as Psalm 91. Here Murphy goes further and discusses these psalms and how to use them to get results"Meditation is for the purpose of redirecting your mind along God-like ways so that Divine law and order may govern all your activities and all phases of your life. Shakespeare said, “All things be ready if the mind be so.” The Bible says, … The works were finished from the foundation of the world (Hebrews 4:3). All this means is that we should open our minds and hearts and accept the gifts of God proffered to us from the foundation of time.We should reorder our minds and ask ourselves a simple question: How is it in God and Heaven? The answer is: All is bliss, harmony, joy, love, peace, perfection, wholeness and indescribable beauty. The All-Wise, the All-Powerful and the All-Knowing One is within us. No matter what we seek already is. Love is, peace is, joy is, power is, harmony is, and the answer to every problem is within us now. At this moment. God knows only the answer."
Who, in their right mind, would want to be humiliated? What would you do if you were humiliated? Most people would be tempted to seek ways to avoid humiliation. Some would become deeply hurt as a result. Others would become angry and defensive. And though the source of one's humiliation may not be fair, it's important to understand that humiliations can become an invitation to the deepest depths of God's grace and Mercy. Humiliation has the potential to produce humility when embraced properly. Though anger and hurt may also result, humility must be the goal. What matters most is that we shed any pride, anger or hurt that we experience and allow ourselves to enter into the depths of humility. This necessary quality will enable us to rely solely upon God, seek consolation and peace only from Him, and allow Him and His holy Will to be the one and only source of our joy in life. Nothing could be better for the soul than the humility that comes from humiliations (See Diary #593).What is it that humbles you the most? What wounds your pride and causes you to be angry or defensive? What do you stew over and think about obsessively? If something comes to mind, then this may be something very specific that the Lord wishes to turn into a source of grace and Mercy. Everything, be it sin, injustice, hurt, etc., has the potential to be turned into grace by our Lord. He truly is that All-Powerful. Identify that which wounds your pride the most and try to look at it from a new perspective, letting the Lord turn it into a source of grace.Lord, my pride is wounded so many times. There are so many experiences I have that do not sit well with me. Help me to allow all those things that are out of my control to become transformed by You and Your grace so that they may no longer weigh me down, causing hurt and anger. Take these humiliations, dear Lord, and transform my heart through them so that, in my humility, I may come to know You more intimately and surrender to You more fully. Jesus, I trust in You. Before we speak about the evidence of Islam and the Holy Quran's Divine origin, let me quickly introduce Islam. Islam is defined as the voluntary act of submitting yourself to God. When you become a Muslim, you submit and surrender to the will of God, just as the creation around you, providing you peace and contentment in this life and the hereafter. Only when you submit to God, through a process of believing in Him and obeying His commandments, do you achieve an innate and lasting sense of security, true peace of mind, and surety of heart. As a Muslim, you don't live to fulfill your desires, lusts, and impulses; instead, by definition, a Muslim submits their will to the almighty God. You acknowledge and trust that God knows what's best for you, so you follow His guidance. You cannot live peacefully or successfully without religion, and this religion cannot be man-made. Religion must be utterly Divine, with no human alteration inherent. The only Revelation in the world today that still rings good and true is the final Book, the last and final Testament of God, the Holy Quran. All other traditional Revelations have been lost in the annals of time or undergone endless human-made modifications that have rendered them impractical for humanity. Unlike other sacred scriptures such as the Bible, the Holy Quran has been perfectly preserved in both its words and meaning—and in a language that still exists today.Islam is a monotheistic faith that requires followers to admit and recognize the existence of one Supreme God and Being who is Almighty, All-Powerful, All-Knowledgeable, All-Seeing, All-Hearing, Most-Merciful, and Loving. Islam stresses the existence of only One God. The same God worshipped by Prophet Adam, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, Jesus, and Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon them all. Islam demonstrates the fact that, through the centuries, God has continued to bless humanity with holy Prophets bearing the same general message. The message is simple: you should worship God Alone with no partners, love Him with all of your heart, and follow His Commandments. If you follow this edict, you will live a content life in this world and enter Paradise eternally in the afterlife. If you do not believe in God and follow His commandments, you will live a depressed life and enter hellfire in the afterlife. Islam is not a religion solely based on creeds, customs, and rituals such as praying and fasting; instead, Islam is a complete way of life that guides followers in every aspect of their lives. Islam teaches the art of living and dictates how you should steer and navigate your life. Islam instructs you about the things in this life that are beneficial to you and those that are ultimately destructive and should be avoided. Islam states that everyday human acts, such as eating, drinking, greeting others, sitting, learning, dressing, sleeping, and giving charity, are all acts of worship if conducted for God alone and in accordance with His Divine Laws and guidelines.
Many reasons justify the belief that Islam is the religion of God and that the Holy Quran is the true word of God. If you are still unsure of it, you should investigate the evidence that points to Islam as the true faith and that the Holy Quran is the true Speech of God. Let's quickly go over a few of these:Many proofs exist to support the fact that Islam is the true religion of God. Among the many proofs of Islam's truthfulness is the fact that it is the only religion whose message and teachings have been preserved and never tampered with nor changed over time. As for Christianity and other religions, their original Revelation and teachings have not been preserved for our perusal. If you look at Christianity, for instance, since Jesus Christ and the disciples spoke Aramaic, Jesus Christ's Message and teachings must have been conveyed in that language. Today, we do not have copies of Jesus Christ's teachings available in the language he taught them. Amongst the many proofs of Islam's truthfulness is that Islam speaks to the predisposition and innate belief God has placed in the hearts of every human. Take the concept of God, for instance. The idea of God is simple, understandable, and not as complex as it is in other religions. Islam teaches the existence of only One Supreme Being, who is All-Mighty, All-Powerful, All-Knowing, All-Seeing, and Most-Merciful, and who created the entire universe and everything in it. All other beings are creations of God and not the actual Creator. If more than one God existed, there would befall a chaos of gods fighting each other for control. If the gods did not fight each other for power and control, then they would be considered dependent on and submissive to each other—in other words, not gods at all. Among the many proofs of Islam's truthfulness stands the idea that salvation makes common sense and applies true justice. Islam states that salvation is based on believing in your Creator, intentions, actions, and repentance. No other religion supports the belief in rational and logical concepts like Islam's concept of God; thus, the ideas of His Prophets, salvation, and the Hereafter appeal to everyone! Islam says that every man is responsible for his actions, sins, and salvation; no one will bear the effects of anyone else's sins, as Christianity believes, which is unjust! God, who owns everything, does not need to sacrifice his supposed son to forgive humanity's sins! Moreover, salvation is not based on one's native ethnicity and civilization, over which people have no control, as Jews believe. Where is the fairness, logic, and justice in that? Islam's concept of the Hereafter makes total sense and applies full justice in its scope. Islam states that there is a life after this one, where everyone will be judged based on how they lived. Everyone will get what they deserve on Judgment Day, be it a reward or a punishment. In this world, evil people may live decent lives and go unpunished for their wrongdoing, while sometimes good people who believe in God and do good deeds live difficult lives. On Judgment Day, justice will be applied. Among the many proofs of Islam's existence is how its teachings guide you to achieving goodness. Other religions teach you to refrain from stealing and cheating, but their teachings are not practical. In contrast, Islam's teachings are very practical and provide solutions for all problems and aspects of life. Islam offers many resolutions, like the solution to poverty. The faith contains a system known as Zakat, which requires everyone with more than a certain amount of money and assets to give the poor 2.5% of their wealth annually. If everyone followed this system worldwide, no one would die from hunger, and poverty would perish!
The first article of faith in Islam is the belief in the Oneness of God. Faith begins with believing in Allah, the Glorious, from which all other facets of Faith spring. You must adhere to and acknowledge that no deity is worthy of your worship, love, subservience, hope, and fear other than Allah. Nothing in existence is worthy of your ultimate loyalty and sacrifice nor worth lowering your head in prostration or humility, except for Allah, the Creator of All. Islam is monotheistic, believing that there is only One God and He is the only One worthy of worship. The idea of multiple gods is rejected in Islam, as is highlighted many times throughout the Qur'an. "They have certainly disbelieved who say, 'Allah is the third of three,' And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment." (Quran 5:73) The most severe sin in Islam is known as shirk, which translates to the concept of ascribing a partner to Allah. The term also encompasses attributing divine qualities to any other besides Allah. Shirk is the only sin that God does not forgive if a person dies before repenting. The Christian belief that Jesus is the son of God, or God himself, is an example of shirk. The belief in the concept of the Trinity— the father, son, and holy spirit—is a grave sin in Islam. Allah states in the Holy Quran that on the Day of Judgment, Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, will deny ever asking people to worship him instead of God or along with God:"And remember when Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: 'O 'Jesus, son of Mary! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?' 'He will say: 'Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right to say. Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden and unseen." (Quran 5:116) God is the One to whom worship is due. He is the Creator, Provider, and Sustainer of everything. He is the Supreme, the Eternal. God has no father nor mother, no son or daughter, no partner nor equal. He is All-Knowing, All-Seeing, All-Hearing, All-Powerful, and Most-Merciful. It is He who gives life and causes death. It is He who is Unique in His Names and Attributes. Everything in this world and everything it contains, the whole universe, including you and me, belong to the One God. We use the phrases "my hand," "my house," and "my money," but it all belongs to God."To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the Earth. Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it. Then He will forgive whom He wills and punish whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent." (Quran 2:284)
Overcoming Through the Fiery Trials (Audio) David Eells - 3/22/23 Running the Race With Diligence Samuel Fire - 12/8/22 (David's notes in red) I had a vision of a nice sunny day; the weather was perfect. (This represents when everything is going well in our lives.) I saw a man driving a racing car around a racetrack. (This man represents every believer who is running their own race. Heb. 12:1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.) He competed his laps with the help of his racing team. (The driving team represents fellowship with our brethren, who are in Christ, helping us complete our daily driving course.) He was driving very well and fast. He didn't crash and he made no error. He was very happy and pleased with his accomplishments. After he completed his daily racing, he thought about the day and then he spoke with his racing team and friends about how it all went and what needs to be maintained on the car. (Representing how we fellowship with other brethren in the Body of Christ. We all have different roles, but we all help each other out.) 1Co 14:26 What is it then, brethren? When ye come together, each hath a psalm, hath a teaching, hath a revelation, hath a tongue, hath an interpretation. Let all things be unto edifying. Maintaining the car is representing feeding our spiritual man with the Word and prayer and fellowship in Jesus every day; abiding in Christ.) Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world. Joh 6:63 It is the Spirit that maketh alive; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. The next day the weather was rainy. (representing trials and tribulation) It made it very difficult for the man racing on the track and he almost crashed. He had many struggles, and he was very frustrated as nothing was going smooth like the day before, there were many trials for him. Mat 6:34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient to the day is the evil thereof. He was so upset after driving that he didn't think about everything or properly discuss with his racing team what had happened. (He chose to wallow in the flesh, rather than rest in Christ and seek prayer and help from brethren.) All he wanted to do was go home and rest (in the flesh), so he didn't maintain the car at all. (When we give in to discouragement and frustration, we are feeding our flesh and sabotaging our individual race. Rom. 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.) The next day the weather was much better, however the car was not performing well. He regretted having not maintained the car the day before and didn't achieve good results. (He hadn't filled up in prayer and the Word, so it was more difficult) The man was upset and filled with guilt, shame and self-condemnation for not discussing with his racing team and for not maintaining the car the previous day. Job 9:20 Though I be righteous, mine own mouth shall condemn me: Though I be perfect, it shall prove me perverse. After this race he spoke about it with his racing team at length and they did proper maintenance with the car. (Representing repentance and getting back on track.) 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Mat 6:33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. The following day he went to the track to race and there were many other drivers also racing on the track. There was a big crowd of people watching him and many other distractions. (This represents trials in various forms to test and refine our walk in Christ. We must maintain vigilance and focus on Him.) 1Co 7:35 And this I say for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for what is seemly, and assiduous toward the Lord without distraction. Mar 4:19 and the cares of the age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 1Co 10:13 Only human temptation hath overtaken you: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way out, that ye be able to endure it. Each day has its own trials, and it is all to perfect us into Christ. Php. 3:12 Not that I have already received, or am already made perfect: but I follow on, if so be that I may apprehend that for which also I was apprehended by Christ Jesus. 1 Co. 9:24-27 Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain. 25 And every man that striveth in the games exerciseth self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown; but we incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so, fight I, as not beating the air: 27 but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected. Tried by Fire Samuel Fire - 12/9/22 (David's notes in red) I sought the Lord because I was curious if hell fire [or torment] is Holy fire [or the Lord's refining process] and I heard the Lord say, “Yes. Anything that cannot, or totally refuses to be, connected with Me, is to be tormented. The torment and hell are the weeping and gnashing of the teeth where the fire does not cease from burning. The end for everything is either completely destroyed and removed into this judgement, or remains cleansed and refined with Me. I am an all-consuming Fire. 1Co. 3:11-15 For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 each man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire. 2Pe 3:7 but the present heavens, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against a day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly men. Heb 12:29 For our God is indeed a consuming fire. Lev 20:26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I, Jehovah, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that ye should be mine. That which is remaining, will experience judgement of hell, the process of refinement of My Holiness. As nothing can live without Me, there is nothing for the evil to live with, but only the Holy Spirit which burns until eternity. (He guides and convicts us, and the fire consumes all that is evil.) Act 17:24-25 The God that made the world and all things therein, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 neither is he served by men's hands, as if he needed anything, he himself giving to all life, and breath, and all things; Mat 3:11-12 I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but who cometh after me is mightier than I: whose shoes I am not fit to bear: HE shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire: 12 whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor and gather his grain into the garner, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire. Joh 16:8 And HE, coming, will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 2Th 2:8 And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the spirit of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his presence: Job 4:9 By the breath of God they perish, And by the blast of his anger are they consumed. (Job was a righteous man but not yet manifesting perfection so, he went through the fiery trials until he was gold.) I then remembered Meshach, Shadrach and Abed-Nego were not harmed, as their faith was in the Lord God. Only their bonds were burned up, as well as the enemy who threw them in and Nebuchadnezzar's command to serve idols were all eliminated. Dan 3:22-28 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. 23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste: he spake and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the aspect of the fourth is like a son of the gods. 26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace: he spake and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the Most High God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came forth out of the midst of the fire. 27 And the satraps, the deputies, and the governors, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power upon their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed, neither were their hosen changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on them. (Get rid of your flesh now so it won't have to burn later.) 28 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Our Father is the silversmith. Pro 17:3 The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold; But Jehovah trieth the hearts. Isa 1:25 and I will turn my hand upon thee, and thoroughly purge away thy dross, and will take away all thy tin. Pro 25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, And there cometh forth a vessel for the refiner: Mal 3:2-3 But who can abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: 3 and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer unto Jehovah offerings in righteousness. We are to be wise and be purified. Dan 12:10 Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but they that are wise shall understand. Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God. Zep 2:2-3 before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Jehovah come upon you, before the day of Jehovah's anger come upon you. 3 Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger. An attachment to evil, is clinging to the very thing the Lord wants to burn-off and remove. It hurts those who won't let go of evil and the refining process of fire continues until only what remains is Holy and Pure. With the completion in the sanctification of washing with the Water of the Word, all are then solidified, hardened and unchangeable by their faith in Him. Rom 12:9 Let the love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cleave to what is good. Eph 5:10-11 proving what is well-pleasing to the Lord; 11 and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. Num 31:22-24 howbeit the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead, 23 everything that may abide the fire, ye shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water for impurity: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make to go through the water. 24 And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean; and afterward ye shall come into the camp. 1Pe 1:7 that the proving of your faith, more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ: Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined by fire, that thou be rich; and white garments, that thou be clothed, and the shame of thy nakedness be not manifested,: and eye salve to anoint thine eyes, that thou see. 1Th 5:21-22 but prove all things; hold fast what is good; 22 abstain from every form of evil. Psa 97:10 O ye that love Jehovah, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of his saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Seeking and allowing the Lord to do His good will through us for His pleasure [is the goal]. Php 2:12-13 So that, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much rather in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure. The demons tremble at His presence, knowing their just and righteous judgement is pending. Jas 2:19 THOU believest that God is one; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and shudder. Nothing can withstand the Fires of God. Nah 1:6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him. God is Almighty and All Powerful, (omnipresence, omnipotence, omniscience) nothing can compare. He is Sovereign overall. His Name is above every name. His Word is above all. Psa 115:3 But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever he pleased. Isa 55:11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Jer 32:17 Ah Lord Jehovah! behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thine outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for thee, Pro 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap; But the whole disposing thereof is of Jehovah. Php 2:9 Wherefore also God highly exalted him and endowed him with the name above every name. Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple And give thanks unto thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Something that is burned as hot as possible, emits light. We are to be the light of the Lord. Mat 5:16 Thus let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in the heavens. Pro 4:18 But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Php 2:15 that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as luminaries in the world, Exposure to the Fire and Light, the Perfect Power of God, [causes the darkness to flee away, if we cooperate with His Spirit.] Joh 3:19-21 And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. 20 For everyone that practiced evil things hateth the light, and cometh not unto the light, that his works be not reproved. 21 But who doeth the truth cometh unto the light, that his works be manifested that they have been wrought in God. [His fire] either comforts with warmth or burns to ashes; fire is of the Lord to bring us to righteous power or judgement. Luk 12:49 A fire came I to cast upon the earth; and what do I desire, if it is already kindled? The burning bush in Exodus, did not get consumed, nor did it harm Moses. Exo 3:2 And the angel of Jehovah appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. I felt that the Lord has revealed this to me how I can understand it. These are the very things God does not want in His Kingdom. (Pride, arrogance, religious spirits and so on). These were and are in myself! But we are to see ourselves sanctified and perfected in Christ already seated in Heavenly places! Gal 5:16-17 But I say, Walk in Spirit, and ye shall in no wise fulfill the lusts of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary one to another; that ye may not do what things ye would. We all are going through this process whether we are about to enter, or are already entered, or have had most of it cleansed. It is in this time [of the fiery trial] that we can see and understand. We have to have the faith to see the end in view and also to look back at what the Lord has already done! (Amen!) I Am With You Always Tiannah Fire - 11/18/22 (David's notes in red) I dreamt that I was hanging out with Jesus in the physical. He was so wonderful, sweet, and gentle; better than any words I could describe. He looked like a normal man; however, He was bright and wearing a glowing white garment. Extreme Joy, Peace, Love and so many other brilliant feelings that I can't describe, were radiating from Him. I felt complete, absolute freedom and the ability to praise Him in full. I felt more Joy than I have ever felt before. It was Pure and Holy, and I felt so much Love for Him and every other soul. I wanted to share Him with everyone. I felt no evil feelings or thoughts that the enemy tries to trick us with in the flesh. It was all gone and there was complete freedom as if the Holy Spirit was manifesting through my flesh. I wanted everyone else to be with Him also and everyone to have His Love, Joy, and Peace. I was so excited for others to hang out with Him too. So, we went around together knocking on doors in the neighborhood. I was proclaiming His magnificence to the people and inviting them to hang out with us. I would talk about how wonderful He is even though He was standing right there next to me. I wanted each of the people we spoke to, to be with Him. No one else could see Him but I was speaking as if they could see Him. I wanted to share Him with everyone. I wanted everyone to have His Joy, Peace, Love and Grace and I told them that He is the best and nothing can compare to Him. Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To my disappointment for them, most of the people shut their door in our face, others would hear and listen to what I said about Jesus and His Word but didn't want to hang out with Him. There wasn't anyone in that neighborhood that wanted to hang out with Jesus and to partake in His Joy and Peace and Love. I could not understand why they didn't want to, and I grieved for them. Ezekiel 12:2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see, and see not, that have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house. Jesus led me over to a park with a playground that was in the center of the neighborhood we were in. He started swinging me on the grass, around in circles and we danced together in union. He was very playful and loving and I trusted Him and knew that He wouldn't let me go or let me fall. I was so happy and excited, like a young child, and I wanted others to share this Joy. I couldn't understand why others didn't want to dance with Jesus and be with Him. Jesus had come to spend a short time with me and then had to go back to our Father. I felt that He had things He wanted me to do here and that I was to go to other towns speaking about Him to those who would hear. (I believe this describes our initial salvation experience. Once we are stronger in our faith He tends to withdraw as we learn to walk by faith more and more in our assurance of our salvation. We are, after all, saved by faith and not by how we feel or human experience.) So, I was back alone on earth, but I was so filled with Joy and praise for our Father and King. I arrived at this city, and I was on a hill looking from above and could see everything. It was in the middle of the day; however everything was dark and there was no sun. Everything was black and it felt as if a blanket was covering this world. (This describes the curse of sin and death that covers the earth and those who are earthly.) I felt so much Joy and started singing, "I've longed to see again, The moving of His Spirit. To know The Glory that our Father talked about. These surely are the days of restoration, but our Lord has only just begun. He's just begun to move again in our generation. Although He's done so much, He still will do much more. So let your eyes take hold of a new vision. For our Lord has only just begun. The lame to walk, the deaf to hear, the blind to see. The voice of God is found through all the earth. These are the days of Glorious resurrection, but our Lord has only just begun. The Glory of The Lord shall surely fill the earth. He said just like the waters cover all the sea. REVIVAL COMES; WE LIVE IN EXPECTATION, but our Lord has only just begun. From east and west and north and south the people gather and only unto Him the gathering shall be. These are the days of mighty preparation. But our Lord has only just begun”. As I was singing and dancing to the Lord, I was being lifted higher and higher into the air, kind of like flying or floating above. I was maybe 1 mile up. (This represents being seated in heavenly places in Christ.) I could see so many people below me. I just kept singing and praising the Lord and I was moving forward, walking in the air across the city, proclaiming Him to everyone! I remember thinking, "This song is so awesome I need to share it with the brethren". When I was back on the ground, I was in the center part of the city and there started to be severe wind and everything started shaking and moving. Like a sudden hurricane and earthquake and more. I grabbed onto something and watched everything around me blowing away. Items were blowing everywhere, and walls were breaking and being thrown around and things were flying all around the air. Everything around me moved but I did not move. I felt peace and calm. (Jesus is the Rock that we are anchored on in the storms of life and in the judgements of God. Col. 2:6-7 As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and builded up in him, and established in your faith, even as ye were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.) Suddenly, I looked up at the dark sky and I saw a little circular hole in the sky and a light peaked through. It wasn't like the sun, but it was like a man made light. It felt like a fake light pretending to be the sun (Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. This represents false light and false truth). (Here, again, we see the great deception that God will allow to deceive those who don't love the truth.) I saw something fly from the light through the sky and then down to me. (The alien invasion lies.) (This represents demonic principalities and powers in the heavenlies.) It came around me and these creatures got out of the UFO, and they were very dark. I couldn't see them clearly because they were hiding in the shadows. They were acting like they were "aliens" and they wanted to experiment on me. They were trying to convince me they were aliens, and from another planet and they are taking over the world. (This has been the DS plan for a long time. This will cause many lukewarm Christians to fall away because they are not rooted and grounded in the Word which is Christ.) I felt a hard prod or poke from them in my left rib area. I started having thoughts of fear and doubts about Jesus, but I rejected those thoughts and I said, "Aliens are just demons and we have all authority over them and Jesus IS the Truth", I then spoke, "The Blood of Jesus!” When I awoke, I still felt the feeling of having been prodded in my left rib area, but it quickly faded. Jesus Will be With Us Through the Water Vanessa Weeks - 2/28/23 (David's notes in red) While I was lying down and praying, I had a vision. I saw Jesus standing at the waters edge of a sea or ocean. I was standing to His right and a little behind Him. We were standing in the clear water and there were small ripples coming over our feet. Then Jesus took my hand with His right hand, and we started to walk further into the water. Later that night, the Lord was speaking to me, John 5:19 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner. When I told my husband this vision, he said it reminded him of Isa. 43:2. (In context 1-4), Isa 43:1 But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt as thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in thy stead. 4 Since thou hast been precious in my sight, and honorable, and I have loved thee; therefore, will I give men in thy stead, and peoples instead of thy life. While hearing "Man-Child Ministry Imparted to the Bride", I heard David read, Psa 85:13 Righteousness shall go before him, And shall make his footsteps a way to walk in. Thank you, Father, that Jesus will hold our hand and be with us during all we go through, as You bring your judgments on the earth. Also, cause us to clearly see your footsteps, so we will walk in them, in Jesus' name, amen. The Names of God in this message reveal Him as All-Powerful, Omnipotent and as a Gracious and Forgiving God...all found in Christ for our sake! Do you need this kind of God, Savior and Lord in your life? Check it out and share it!
0:00 - Intro 0:40 {Are Soul Ties Biblical?} What are “soul ties,” and are they biblical? 18:00 {Has Jesus Always Been God?} Our pastor said on Sunday that Jesus wasn’t God here on Earth until the baptism of John and descending of the Holy Spirit. It sounded really bad to my ears. Can you comment, please? 22:46 {Honoring God Regardless of Feelings} When I feel "good" I find myself doubting less, being more loving, and sinning less. How do I know if I'm growing in the spirit or if it's just my antidepressants making me nicer? 26:44 {Witnessing to Muslims} How do you convince a Muslim that Jesus is more than just a prophet? 30:31 {Did Jesus Overturn the Tables Twice?} Why is Jesus overturning the money tables in John 2 and not later when He enters Jerusalem (around John 11 or 12)? Did He do this 2 times and not just in His last week (Matthew 21:12; Mark 11:15)? 35:06 {Did God Foretell Something that Didn’t Happen?} In 1 Samuel 23:11-13 (ESV), the Lord says David will be handed over to Saul at Keilah, then David leaves town before Saul gets there, so he was not. Why did the Lord foretell a future event that didn't happen? 40:28 {About the Cruciform Hermeneutic} What are your thoughts on the cruciform hermeneutic or cruciform theology? 45:20 {Advice for a Tough Marital Situation} If my wife committed adultery against me and a child resulted from the affair, am I bound to care for the child? Why or why not, and how would I go about handling the situation after finding out? 46:48 {Should Couples Promise “Till Death Do Us Part”?} In many modern weddings, people promise before God "till death do us part,” or something similar. Doesn't that biblically preclude the option of even a biblical divorce? 50:16 {Why was the Cross Necessary if God is All-Powerful?} I have an agnostic friend who can’t accept that the cross was necessary. They believe God was not all powerful if He could not find another way of saving humanity without sacrificing Jesus. Thoughts? 52:59 {About Jacob’s Wrestle with God} How do you interpret Genesis 32, when Jacob wrestles with God? 58:50 {Having Insurance = Lack of Trust in God?} What are your thoughts on having insurance and medical aid? I've heard it said that these things are rooted in fear and keep us from truly trusting God. Is that a biblical/wise perspective to have? 1:01:25 {What Kind of Jokes Fall Under “Jesting”?} I'm confused about “eutrapelia” and I don’t know if it is just crude joking or all jokes that word speaks of in Ephesians 5:4. I use the KJV and it just says "jesting." 1:06:47 {Can We Rebuke the Enemy Ourselves?} Can we rebuke the enemy? 1:08:38 {Are Flashy Lights Inappropriate for a Church?} My church recently renovated our hall to be more upbeat and have flashy lights. I'm extremely disheartened by this. Do you have any advice? 1:13:25 {Slavery in the Old Covenant} How do we reconcile the treatment of foreigner slaves (not Israelite servitude) under the old covenant (bought as property, handed down to children, etc. – Leviticus 25:44-46)? 1:19:36 {Should we Only Have One Teacher?} Please, can you talk about what we should do when a spiritual leader wants you to only take advice from them and no one else, especially when the Bible says to have a “multitude of counselors”? 1:20:55 {Why did Some Men in the Bible Have Multiple Wives?} Most of the men in Bible had multiple wives. Can’t you then say they lived in sin their entire lives? Many people say that continual sin doesn’t equate to being a true Christian. 1:24:32 {Respectfully & Effectively Witnessing to a Boss} My boss is a leader in the LDS church. He is a good and friendly boss but calls himself a Christian.
There are times when you and I must answer a phone call, open an envelope, or encounter a headline from a breaking news story that leaves us holding our breath. In these moments, fear feels powerful until we remember that we have an All-Powerful, All-Knowing, All-Present God. Jade Wales - August 20 2022The All Powerful PowerlessBased on 1 Corinthians 1:27“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”This message focuses on Peter the bold cowering in the shadows of the judgement hall as Jesus is pronounced His death sentence.None of us have ‘strong points' we only have varying degrees of weak points. Our weakness is to show us our human limitations, that we might renounce all of our strength in ourselves and rest in the power of the Almighty, it is then that we realise God's strength is made perfect in our weakness.Peter rose from the ashes of denial in true repentance to then lead a church to Pentecost. The All Powerful gives power to the powerless.
“This is how you are to pray: Our Father who art in heaven…” Matthew 6:9The following is an excerpt from the My Catholic Worship! book, Chapter Eleven, on the Lord's Prayer:The Lord's Prayer is indeed a summary of the entire Gospel. It is called “The Lord's Prayer” in that Jesus Himself gave it to us as a way of teaching us to pray. In this prayer, we find seven petitions to God. Within those seven petitions we will find every human longing and every expression of faith found within the Scriptures. Everything we need to know about life and prayer is contained in this wonderful prayer.Jesus Himself gave us this prayer as the model of all prayer. It is good that we repeat the words of the Lord's Prayer regularly in vocal prayer. This is also done in the various sacraments and liturgical worship. However, saying this prayer is not enough. The goal is to internalize each and every aspect of this prayer so that it becomes a model of our personal petition to God and an entrustment of our entire life to Him.The Foundation of PrayerThe Lord's Prayer begins not with a petition; rather, it begins with us acknowledging our identity as children of the Father. This is a key foundation for the Lord's Prayer to be prayed properly. It also reveals the foundational approach we must take in all prayer and in the entire Christian life. The opening statement preceding the seven petitions is as follows: “Our Father who art in Heaven.” Let's take a look at what is contained in this opening statement of the Lord's Prayer.Filial Boldness: At Mass, the priest invites the people to pray the Lord's Prayer by saying, “At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching we dare to say…” This “daring” on our part comes from the foundational understanding that God is our Father. Each Christian is to see the Father as my Father. We must see ourselves as God's children and approach Him with the confidence of a child. A child with a loving parent is not afraid of that parent. Rather, children have the greatest trust that their parents love them no matter what. Even when they sin, children know they are still loved. This must be our fundamental starting point for all prayer. We must start with an understanding that God loves us no matter what. With this understanding of God we will have all the confidence we need to call on Him.Abba: Calling God “Father” or, more specifically, “Abba” means we cry out to God in the most personal and intimate of ways. “Abba” is a term of endearment for the Father. This shows that God is not just the Almighty or the All-Powerful. God is so much more. God is my loving Father and I am the Father's beloved son or daughter.“Our” Father: To call God “our” Father expresses an entirely new relationship as a result of the New Covenant that was established in the blood of Christ Jesus. This new relationship is one in which we are now God's people and He is our God. It's an exchange of persons and, therefore, deeply personal. This new relationship is nothing other than a gift from God to which we have no right. We have no right to be able to call God our Father. It's a grace and a gift. This grace also reveals our profound unity to Jesus as the Son of God. We can only call God “Father” in so far as we are one with Jesus. His humanity unites us to Him and we now share in a deep bond with Him.Calling God “our” Father also reveals the union we share with one another. All who call God their Father in this intimate way are brothers and sisters in Christ. We, therefore, are not only deeply connected together; we also are enabled to worship God together. In this case, individualism is left behind in exchange for fraternal unity. We are members of this one divine family as a glorious gift of God.Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2022 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. Used with permission via RSS feed.
