A weekly podcast about the video game industry. The hottest game chat, every Wednesday.
The podcast is back after our winter break! We've need a reset after nearly 20 hours of game of the year discussions, but it's time to get going with more new games, with another big year of games to come. Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana isn't technically new, but it is a new release, and both Lyle and Adam have been playing that with its new-era release. Elsewhere, Mick and Steve have been playing early access survival game ALOFT, but it seems to have quite a gimmick going for it. Lastly on the first episode of 2025, Adam and Mick have been finally playing the first Citizen Sleeper game and... well, they're rather blown away. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! Day five of the GodisaGeek Game of the Year 2024 deliberations is here, and it's the big one, with our top ten of the year. Before we get to that, however, we do need to have a look forward to 2025. There are some very big games looming on the horizon, like Death Stranding 2, or even Metroid Prime 4. But as is tradition, before we get to our top ten games of 2024, we do have the small matter of a top five most anticipated of next year, to decide first. After that though, it's what everyone comes for: the Game of the Year 2024 top ten list. Will there be any shocks, or surprises? People have been beavering away to finish some games they think might be contenders, and personal lists have been tweaked and finalised (hopefully!). So that's all that's left, then: what's the top ten, and who is the winner? ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! Day four of the GodisaGeek Game of the Year 2024 deliberations is here, and it's another bumper episode. While not quite as long as the epic day four from 2023, the team start out being worried about there not being enough good stories in 2024, before slowly realising it's actually been a rather incredible year for stories in games. As usual, we can't talk about stories and moments without spoilers, so be warned. We do try to avoid it unless necessary, but it is necessary a lot: sorry! ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! It's time. It's finally time! Day one of the GodisaGeek Game of the Year 2024 deliberations is here, as the team of Adam, Chris H, Chris W, Mick, and Lyle with the now traditional bumper opening episode. Best re-release starts things off, and seems to be getting bigger and longer every year. Nicest surprise has a few moments that catch everyone out. Biggest disappointment... has gone for 2024. We decided to be positive and take the category we did in our bonus (Patreon Exclusive) day six episode from last year and use that as the third category on day one: welcome to Best DLC. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! On this episode of the podcast it's time to discuss one of the year's biggest games in the form of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, among others. It turns out that it takes time to play through games like Dragon Age: The Veilguard, so we kept our powder dry and waited for the expert, Chris Hyde, to be ready to speak about it, and now is that time; you lucky people. But somehow, that's not the only huge role-playing game we've been going hard at. Adam has been playing Mario & Luigi: Brothership for a while, and his feelings are all over the shop on it. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! On this week's episode of the podcast, it's time to talk about Super Mario Party Jamboree, and find out what everyone thinks of the long-running series. Adam has played it at preview, and now for review, and is a big fan. But can he convince Chris Hyde and Chris White to play Super Mario Party Jamboree with him online, actually shelling out hard-earned money for the game? It's also a good chance to check in with Chris White, as he played Silent Hill 2 for review, and now we can get to hear more of his thoughts on the game. But it's also time for Adam and Chris White to get nervous, as Chris Hyde has finally started Astro Bot. Could hearts be broken on the podcast, or does he like it, too? ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! The podcast returns and with it comes Lyle to chat lots about the latest Atlus RPG: Metaphor ReFantazio. Is it any good? Yes, probably. Adam has also seen Metaphor: ReFantazio through to credits, which means he and Lyle have had little time for much else, actually. Well no, that's not true, since both the duo have also been playing through Silent Hill 2. No, not the original game, the much awaited remake. Has it been worth the wait? Did Bloober Team manage to do it? Listen to find out. But also listen to find out what Lyle thinks of UFO 50, and if Adam has gotten through any more of the 50-strong list of games. Spoiler: Lyle likes it, and yes, he has. It might be the second time we've talked about UFO 50 on the podcast, but hey, it's 50 games and we've been playing Metaphor: ReFantazio, and lots of other things that are under embargo, so bare with us. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! On the latest episode of the podcast it's time to talk about a brand new game: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Adam had previously played some for a preview, but he's finished The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom now, and has reviewed it, with plenty to say about it. We even have some listener correspondence directly about the game itself. Elsewhere, Lyle hasn't talked about Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition yet, but wants to, and who is gonna stop him? Likewise Chris Hyde is coming with a very on-brand game to chat about: Shapez 2. Factory management? That's unlike him, right? As mentioned, we've also got some listener correspondence to get through, including another question about Lyle's combat abilities. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! On the latest episode of the podcast, it's time to discuss a game that's been coming a very, very long time: UFO 50. UFO 50 was actually announced back in 2017, and some 7 years later, all 50 games of UFO 50 are here to play, and Adam has been going through them slowly. You see, while these may look like smaller games as part of a collection, he explains that these are pretty much all fully fledged titles in their own right, with some caveats. Elsewhere, another game that has been long on the "most wanted" list is here, in the form of The Plucky Squire. Can it deliver on more than looks? Does it live up to the expectations and hope of the team, who have all been dying to play it for what seems like forever? One thing is for sure, the whiplash between the colourful, bright, cheery aesthetic of The Plucky Squire and UFO 50 and the nature of Frostpunk 2 is something, for sure. Thankfully Chris White is here to talk us through what is a fantastic game, but one you'll need to be ready for. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! On this edition of the podcast it's time to talk about something a little bit new, something you may not have heard of, and something slightly older. Chris White is back again on this episode to discuss Star Wars Outlaws, a game which has had a lot of mixed opinion and almost feels as though it's come and gone in rapid style, despite it being a brand new Star Wars game from a huge publisher. Looking back a bit further, Chris Hyde has gone back to Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, a game the crew feel hasn't had enough love, and one that feels a lifetime ago, let alone from earlier this year. Out this week, Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines is a sequel to a game most will have missed, but it's ace regardless. And of course, there's time for some listener correspondence. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! What's that, a flying pig... no, it's actually a podcast about video games from us, and yes, we've got some explaining to do. While we've been away, so many games have come (and gone), but rather than make the first one back after a few months away a sixteen hour epic, we decided to talk about Astro Bot, which we're all loving. After that, it's time to see what Chris Hyde thinks of Visions of Mana, especially given the series contains one of his favourite games of all time. Lastly, it's time to see what choices we made in The Casting of Frank Stone, which we all seem to be falling in different places on, critique wise. Of course listener correspondence is back, too, and that's where we explain our two month absence. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! The Summer is here on the podcast, meaning everyone is everywhere, but also, we get to chat to Chris White about Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Both he and Adam have finished it, and have a lot of thoughts about it, some of which are quite complicated. Interesting... Elsewhere, Lyle had a chance to play Multiversus before it came back, and the gang are wondering how it'll do it today's market. Chris White has also been playing Hades 2, which, to everyone's absolute shock, is a very good game as well. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! After a bit of a hiatus, the podcast is back and the games we have to talk about are an eclectic bunch, really running the gamut. If you're a Patreon supporter and have been keeping up on things in our Discord, you'll know that Adam and Chris Hyde are hopelessly addicted to factory building game Foundry. The safe and nice, peril-free world has them utterly compelled to build forever and more. Could this truly be a Satisfactory beater? But on the other hand, Chris Hyde has also been banging his head against puzzle game Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, which Adam has also tried, and, well, has given up on, for now. Elsewhere, Animal Well is a new MetroidVania, and it's got zero combat, so of course Lyle has been all over that one. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! On this week's podcast it's time to talk about another massive JRPG, as Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is out, and we've been playing it. Adam has played it and seen credits, and has a lot to say, while Lyle is still looking forward to getting into it further after previewing it. Chris Hyde is back this week, and who'd have though it, but he has thoughts on the mathematics at play in the game. Elsewhere, Lyle and Adam are both rather smitten with the demo build they played of Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, but are also quite sad, since there's no release date, so they don't know how long until they can play more. Hydey has also played some of it, but what does he think? Yep, maths again! Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is also out now, and is yet another Metroidvania to add to the immense pile of them that seem to be coming out in 2024. It's story heavy, but it's still a lovely responsive fun time. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! On this week's podcast, it's time to welcome back Chris White as he is here to talk about Harold Halbut, because why not? Lyle and Adam have also been playing through Biomorph, with varying results of happiness from doing so. Elsewhere, Adam has played a little bit of The Rogue Prince of Persia, which isn't Dead Cells, but also sorta-kinda is. Of course, we make time for questions from the listeners, too, from our lovely Discord community via Patreon, especially since we had to cut the last episode short and not answer them all, so it's time to make good on that. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! This week's podcast sees the gang... well, talking about Dragon's Dogma 2 some more, since Chris Hyde is here to discuss his archery adventures. But all three of this week's hosts have also finished a game called Minishoot Adventures, which technically speak is called Minishoot' Adventures, though nobody seems to know why the apostrophe is there. Elsewhere, Adam wants to briefly talk about Princess Peach: Showtime! since he reviewed that a few weeks ago, and it was a lovely time. Well, you wait for massive games and then three come along at once and all need talking about on a podcast. Phew. And it's not exactly just the "size" of the games we're talking here, but the fact that they are just "big" names as well. Dragon's Dogma 2 is here, after over ten years of people wanting it, and most of us have played it. Do we like it? Was it worth the wait? Speaking of comebacks, Alone in the Dark has been sort-of soft-rebooted, with a brand new game that's more like Resident Evil than the original titles, but does it work? We also need to have a good chat about the latest PS5 exclusive, Rise of the Ronin, since we've got Mick here and he reviewed it, after all. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! It's podcast time, which means loads of games, including some absolutely massive RPGs that we've all been playing. Since we've been away we've been playing so many games, including Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which one of us has finished, the other is halfway through, and the other, despite it being his most wanted game of the year, hasn't even started. In fairness, that's likely because he's been hammering through Unicorn Overlord, while the rest of us just leisurely enjoy our space farming survival game, Lightyear Frontier. Oh and just in case you're worried, we won't be doing spoilers for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on this podcast, so you can listen without fear. The Thaumaturge is another game that's been released recently, so we have a chat about that, and why it's worth your time if you're on PC, or Steam Deck, etc. And yes, we finally get to the listener questions that have been outstanding for around a month. It's time for a podcast comeback, as we've been away for nearly a month. Will we explain? Probably not! What this all means, though, is a quick chat about four games we've been playing, and since we managed to wrangle Chris White for the podcast, he's gonna chat about some of his recently reviewed titles. First up we've got the Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake, which Chris adores, and Adam tries to remember. Next on the list, Pacific Drive is unlike anything we've really played before, and is all the better for it. Then it's time for a long overdue love-fest about Granblue Fantasy Relink, but not before a chat about Helldivers 2 and just how damn cool it is. On this week's podcast we're still playing lots of incredibly long role playing games, but also, Suicide Squad is out. Chris Hyde is slowly making his way through Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, while Adam is trying to finish Persona 3 Reload, a task which Lyle has already managed. It's not helping that Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now available, and we have some thoughts on that, as we've been playing for a few hours now. Of course, listener correspondence is an ever-present on the podcast, and it seems like people want us to be nice to each other. This week's podcast we can finally talk about those big games we've been playing, or a few of them, at least! Not only is it Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth time, it's also time for justice: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy time. As Lyle has been playing Capcom's trilogy for a while now, Adam has been having the time of his life in Hawaii, finishing off the latest in Ichiban and Kasuga's tale. Elsewhere, all three of the gang (Chris Hyde is back, finally!) have been playing a lovely indie called Lil' Guardsman which the whole team has been keeping an eye on for a while now. Does it live up to the hopes we had, and what on earth is it thinking releasing during the madness that is January in games? ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! As promised last week on the podcast, we've been playing some big games, but also some indies. So it's a mixture of both this week. Lyle and Adam have been playing Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, which is a lovely indie title that might have a bad name, but is worth your time. Meanwhile, Mick has been playing Welcome to ParadiZe for preview, and Adam has been testing out the No Return rogue-lite mode in The Last of Us Part II Remastered, while also checking on the new features. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! As the year cranks slowly into life, that can only mean one thing: it's time for a first podcast of 2024. The usual podcast catch-up has to happen, so we can find out what people have been playing over the Christmas period, but for Adam and Lyle that mostly involves Fortnite. That said, the pair have also been playing Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, a triple-A MetroidVania, which has enamoured pretty much the entire team, so let's chat about why, shall we, and perhaps discuss if more big studios and publishers should be doing games like this, and not just the usual first-person or third-person titles that seem to be all the rage these days. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! It all comes down to one final push for the GodisaGeek Game of the Year 2023 podcast. It's top ten time! But first up, we need to talk about next year. 2023 may have been one of the most incredible years in gaming in a very long time, but 2024 is shaping up pretty nicely already. We have to decide on whether games will definitely come out, and make a top five, then use all our previous week of deliberations after talking about best multiplayer, visuals, audio, re-releases, and everything else. So what is the top ten list, and what is the Game of the Year 2023? We're back with the third of the Game of the Year 2023 awards from GodisaGeek - and be warned, it's getting hot now. Best multiplayer is more stacked than we thought this year, and it's no shock we've been enjoying games like Remnant 2 as a team, but best new character? Corr, that's a spicy one. Well here we are again, with the first day of the Game of the Year 2023 awards from GodisaGeek - a plethora of hours of podcasts await you, listener. As is tradition on day one of the podcast, the first three awards up for debate for GOTY 2023 are best re-release (HD remaster, remakes, etc), nicest surprise (something that happened, or a game that came from left field somehow), and biggest disappointment (a more nebulous award, which can be a game we wanted to be good that was not, or something negative that happened in the gaming space in 2023). ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! This week's podcast sees the return of Chris White to talk all things Like a Dragon / Yakuza, after the release of the latest title, and ahead of 2024's turn-based RPG game. That said, Chris Hyde and Adam are pretty smitten with a smaller, indie SoulsVania (that's Mick's term, and we're using it!) that is addictive, but nobody seems aware of. Meanwhile, Adam gets to talk about Super Mario RPG, and the team get asked the burning question: What do they want from GTA6? We mention it on the podcast also, but it's worth noting we may not be exactly "weekly" now, while we prepare and eventually record our GOTY 2023 awards. While there are plenty of big games still coming out to chat about on the podcast, the team are back on Remnant 2, it seems. Chris Hyde and Adam have been playing the first DLC pack for it, The Awakened King adds loads more content, a new archetype, and new weapons and gear, and the duo apparently can't get enough of it. Meanwhile, Lyle has been beavering away at Persona 5 Tactica, to see if that is any good, but also dipping back into a game we covered in early access what feels like ages ago: now that Astral Ascent is hitting 1.0, has it delivered on what we hoped for back in September 2022, when Lyle said it “could be the next great Roguelike”? ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! Fit to burst with massive games, on this week's podcast it's time for Chris Hyde and Adam to discuss Alan Wake 2. We won't be spoiling it, but there's plenty to talk about given how long the team (or some of it!) has waited for the sequel from Remedy, that's for sure. But there's more, as Jusant has just been released (and is on Game Pass, so you can play it now), and WarioWare: Move It! is the long-wanted sequel we didn't know we wanted 'til we played it of Smooth Moves. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! Chris White is on the podcast for the second episode running, to talk about Marvel's Spider-Man 2. He and Adam have been playing it for the past few weeks, and have a lot to say about it from a story point of view, as well as how good it feels to be back in the Spider-shoes, game-wise, and even some thoughts on the technical aspects developer Insomniac Games has delivered on this time around. And that's not even it for the big games, out the same day, and also having been played for the past few weeks, Adam has 100% completed Super Mario Bros Wonder, and can deliver his podcast verdict, to go with the written and video review on the site and channel. Still being played this week, though, is Lords of the Fallen, which Chris Hyde has fallen for, and seems quite smitten with. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! Lyle has played the latest adventure from the Blue Blur, and is here to talk about Sonic Superstars. We did promise we'd try to not miss recording a podcast this week, and we've succeeded, though there have been casualties along the way. A mix of sickness, holiday, and other means that it's just Adam and Lyle here for your aural or visual pleasure on this week's podcast, or given how great they both are, perhaps we should this week's "show". Lyle has been playing Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, while Adam has too, meaning he's touched his first Disgaea game. Lyle has also been playing Max Payne-alike, El Paso, Elsewhere, and enjoyed it, with its throwback names and style. Adam has been in a Cocoon playing Cocoon, and likes that too. There are so many games to talk about on this week's podcast, not least the recent release of Resident Evil 4 DLC: Separate Ways. Thankfully, Chris White is here to talk about Mortal Kombat 1 with Adam (we didn't forget or miss it, we've just been too busy to talk until now), while the duo have also been playing EA Sports FC 24 for an unhealth amount of hours, but that's football for you. Chris is also here to talk about Cyberpunk 2077 and it's recent 2.0 update and DLC, Phantom Liberty, while Lyle has been playing 30XX, as well as the aforementioned Resident Evil 4 DLC: Separate Ways. So yeah, a bumper gaming podcast is lined up for you here, listener/watcher, so enjoy, and don't forget to join us live each week, as we usually do it live on a Thursday, but due to scheduling, it's live-live on Monday, that is, today! ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek and get a bonus exclusive pod! We're fully into "game season" now on the podcast, with Starfield already out, and Lies of P right behind it. Can the gang all agree that Starfield is or isn't amazing, and what about Lies of P... can a game really go for Bloodborne and succeed? If that wasn't enough big games, Adam has fallen for Eternights despite its flaws, and Lyle has been jumping around with a shotgun that's also an umbrella in Gunbrella. On this week's podcast, we chat about one of the biggest RPGs of the year. No, not Baldur's Gate 3, and not Starfield. It's Sea of Stars! All three of this week's pod-heroes have played through and completed Sea of Stars, and have varying things to say about it. But that's not all, as Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is also out, and Adam has played that, while Lyle has also been on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. What a podcast! ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
This week's podcast sees the gang well and truly in the thick of "games season". So if that's the case, why is Vampire Survivors on the list? Because it's on Switch, of course, and someone needs to eat humble pie. Mmm, pie. Mick has been really busy beavering away with many games, two of which he's reviewed and is here to talk about. Both he and Adam have played Blasphemous 2, however, Chris Hyde has also completed Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, so that's gonna be a fun podcast chat. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
This week's podcast sees the gang talk about one of the most anticipated RPGs of the year: Baldur's Gate 3. Mick Fraser joins us again as he's been all over that game since its release into early access two years ago, but how does the release version hold up? He's also been playing Atlas Fallen, which is a game that might be slipping under the radar for a lot of people. Not to be outdone, though in truth, being slightly outdone, Lyle returns to the fold to discuss Wrestlequest, and also Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. What are they like? Tune in to find out. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
He's back on the podcast, everyone. That's right, the long awaited return of Chris Hyde as guest, and not the host, is here. Oh and also Adam is back with tales of woe, and where he's been recently. So yeah, it's gonna be a bit of a catch up week. While he's been away, he's reviewed Pikmin 4, Disney Illusion Island, and even got to spend some time playing not-FIFA 24, because it's EA Sports FC 24 now. Yet somehow, he's still addicted to Remnant 2. I'm sure Lyle is there, too, I mean, why wouldn't he be? ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
Oxenfree 2 is out now, and Chris Hyde and Mick have been playing a lot of it to talk about it on this week's podcast. They've both actually been through it more than once, so you'd have to assume they like it, right? But there's more, as the gang have also been playing Remnant 2 a lot as well, since Mick reviewed it, and so that's on topic this week. Not enough big games for you? Well Mick has also played Jagged Alliance 3, so we can chat about that as well. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
It's been a while since the podcast has been all about that RPG life, but Master Detective Archives: Rain Code is here to fix that. Both Adam and Chris have been playing Rain Code and have a lot to say about it: some good, some bad. But hey, being a detective (a good one) takes time, right? Meanwhile Lyle has been catching up on Jack Jeanne, and likes it a lot, and Chris Hyde only went and bought Dave the Diver, didn't he! Nice one, Chris: add that pile of GOTY contenders! ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
On this week's podcast, both Lyle and Adam have been deep-sea diving, all in aid of finding sushi for their restaurant. No, they've not had a career change, instead they've both been enjoying the delights of Dave the Diver, a game that had some buzz during early access, but has now been released fully with it's 1.0 launch. Keeping with the feeling of being quite small in a bigger universe, Lyle has also been playing Pikmin 1 and 2 HD, while Adam previewed Pikmin 4, and the demo is also available now as well. Chris Hyde, not to be outdone, has gone BIG by playing Final Fantasy 16, so it'll be interesting to see if his initial impressions of the demo have continued into the full adventure. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
It just keeps getting bigger and better on the podcast, with not one, but two massive games to talk about. Final Fantasy 16 is here, and you can rest assured we won't be spoiling anything here. That said, that's not all everyone is excited about, as Chris Hyde is a big fan of Escape Academy, and new DLC for that just dropped. Then there's the alien in the room... get it? Mick is back for this week to discuss Aliens: Dark Descent, which he loved, and regaled Adam with stories of his pants being messed every other level. Why wouldn't you stick around to hear about that? Soiled kecks, ffs! ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
It's a weird time for us all on the podcast right now, because it's halfway between the biggest games of the year, and the biggest news cycle of the year, with a Summer of Games on the way. That said, maybe we can find out why Chris Hyde and Lyle were both absent during the same week after all. Maybe the rumours are true and they secretly get on really well? Anyway, Chris has played some Street Fighter 6, and if you're reading this and it hasn't changed, so has Lyle: praise be! Lyle has also been playing We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie and Bleak Sword DX, but really all anyone wants to discuss is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
This week's podcast is a two-man show, with Adam and Chris White not taking holiday, and instead talking games. Adam has been playing Diablo 4 and has a lot to say about it, as he has complicated feelings. Chris White also has complicated feelings about The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which has gone on to be one of the lowest rated games of the year, and even caused the developer to apologise on social media to fans. However, while the pair have brought games only they have played, they have both together got thoughts on Street Fighter 6. What a game that is, apparently! ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
On this week's podcast, everyone else has been playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so it's time to find out if both Chris Hyde and Lyle Carr (yes, he who didn't much care for Breath of the Wild) are enjoying it, so far, and understand why Adam called it one of the best games he's ever played. Of course, there are other games, too, and Chris has also been playing puzzler, Humanity, and Adam has had a little bit of a go on LEGO 2K Drive, so if you really don't want to hear more Zelda talk (and if so, why?), there's that for you to enjoy. ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
On this week's podcast, Adam has played over 70 hours of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and rather likes it, as you could see from his review. He goes to great pains NOT to spoil anything, and even risks the wrath of Chris Hyde for not writing guides, because he doesn't want to be the one to ruin even a small moment for people. Elsewhere, Street Fighter 6 is a game we had a chance to play a few weeks back, and we wanted to give that it's due, in a preview sense. Speaking of previews, Lyle has played the "first year" of Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg ► Join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EGQUs9d9 ► Support us via Patreon: http://Patreon.com/GodisaGeek SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=GodisaGeek
It might be time for some humble pie on this week's podcast, as Adam had a lot to say about Redfall at preview stage, and has now played the full game. Just how did this happen, exactly? Meanwhile, Chris Hyde has been all over Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and has a lot to say about that, while Lyle has been delving into the world of FMV games with Mia and the Dragon Princess, and also OTXO, which he'll have to tell us how to pronounce. Listener correspondence this week has a callback to last episode, but what will it be?
