At Sean "Diddy" Combs' October 10, 2024 hearing, he appeared in Manhattan federal court before Judge Arun Subramanian. The session mainly involved setting deadlines for both the defense and prosecution to file their legal arguments in preparation for the upcoming trial, which is expected to take place in May of 2025.Diddy remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His defense continues to push for his release on bail, which has been denied multiple times due to concerns about witness tampering and flight risk. His legal team had previously offered a $50 million bail package, which included home detention and electronic monitoring, but it was rejected as the court considered him a potential danger to the community.During Sean "Diddy" Combs' October 10, 2024, hearing, his legal team addressed concerns about potential media leaks related to evidence in his case. His attorneys requested that the court impose a gag order to prevent further leaks from law enforcement, which they claim have already influenced public perception and could affect the fairness of the trial. Diddy's team alleges that government agents leaked sensitive material, including a 2016 surveillance video, to the media, compromising his right to a fair trial. The judge has asked the sides to draw up acceptable language for the order. The charges against Diddy include sex trafficking and racketeering, with allegations dating back to 2008. Prosecutors claim that he ran a criminal enterprise, coercing women with the help of his associates and using violence, blackmail, and other forms of intimidation to silence victims. The court appearance also allowed for both sides to discuss procedural aspects, such as evidence handling, and outline the next steps leading up to the high-profile trial. In 2024, Duke has defied most expectations after losing head coach Mike Elko to the Texas A&M Aggies, off to a strong 5-1 start under new head coach Manny Diaz — a familiar face to the Seminoles who has managed to keep the Blue Devils rolling up until suffering their first loss of the season to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. While Duke wasn't given much credit for its 5-0 start, failing to crack the Top 25, the team still has a chance to snap the program's always-beaten streak against Florida State. Diaz has brought his signature defensive aggressiveness, with Duke's defense recording 18 sacks, 13 of which come from a deep defensive line led by Vincent Anthony Jr. and defensive tackles Aaron Hall and Kendy Charles. At quarterback, Texas transfer Maalik Murphy has logged thrown for multiple touchdowns in five of six games, while Star Thomas, a transfer from New Mexico State, has emerged as the lead back in a room capable of putting up yards against an FSU defense still trying to find consistency. This week on the Line of Scrimmage podcast, we connected with Donald Wine from the Duke Basketball Roundup to get the inside scoop on the Blue Devils, including: How Manny Diaz has kept things rolling so far in his first year at Duke An inside look at Murphy's game How Thomas rose up as the Blue Devil's lead back What to expect from Duke's offensive line against Florida State's defensive front The impact of Duke's three-headed linebacker attack featuring Alex Howard, Tre Freeman, and Ozzie Nicholas ...and more. In this episode we delve into the mounting allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs, a music mogul and cultural icon whose legacy is now marred by accusations of sexual assault, trafficking, and coercion. As the lawsuits pile up, other prominent figures have been named, revealing a much wider web of alleged abuse, complicity, and silence in the entertainment industry. We explore the detailed allegations against not just Diddy, but other key individuals drawn into the legal battles. Aaron Hall, a once-renowned R&B singer, allegedly assaulted a minor alongside Diddy in the 1990s. Harve Pierre, former president of Bad Boy Entertainment, faces allegations of trafficking and gang rape. Kristina Khorram, Diddy's chief of staff, is accused of enabling his alleged abuses, while Cuba Gooding Jr. has been implicated in a separate assault claim linked to Diddy's social circles. Even Diddy's sons, Justin Dior Combs and Christian Combs, are allegedly tied to illicit activities at their father's parties. High-profile jeweler Jacob Arabov, known as "Jacob the Jeweler," is also implicated in allegations of coercion at one of Diddy's notorious "White Parties." Joseph “Big Joe” Sherman, Diddy's former bodyguard, faces serious accusations from Thalia Graves, who claims both he and Diddy assaulted her in 2001. R&B star DeVante Swing is alleged to have witnessed and participated in some of these acts. As the cases continue to unfold, the accusations paint a troubling portrait of abuse, manipulation, and the unchecked power of one of music's most influential figures. The episode takes you through the intricate stories of each individual accused or implicated, exploring the alleged culture of silence and complicity that allowed this behavior to continue for decades. With each new revelation, the once-glamorous world of hip-hop is increasingly exposed for its darker undercurrents, leaving many to wonder how these allegations will ultimately reshape the legacies of those involved. For now, the accusers continue their fight for justice, while the outcome of these high-profile cases remains uncertain. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? The initial lawsuit was announced back in November against Diddy and singer, Aaron Hall. She accused the two of sexually assaulting her in 1990 when she was just 16 and highly intoxicated. In a now amended complaint, Gardner has added DeVanté Swing into the bunch as a co-defendant. She claims the R&B group member was present at Aaron Hall's home where she was allegedly assaulted. Not only was he at the home, but in the actual room when it happened, according to her. Gardner's claim is that Swing stood and watched without interruption as Diddy "forcefully" raped her after pulling her underwear aside.

Another lawsuit in December 2023 accused Combs and others of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl at his NYC recording studio after drugging her. These allegations came to light when Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a federal civil suit against him in November 2023, alleging rape and physical abuse spanning over a decade. The lawsuit was settled one day after it was filed. Additionally, in November 2023, Combs was accused of drugging, filming, and sexually assaulting a woman on a date in 1991. JLO's remarks in her 2024 documentary have also fueled speculation about past abusive relationships, with fans speculating she might be referring to Combs.

Sean Puffy Combs, Luther Campbell of 2 Live Crew fame, New Jack Swing/R&B pioneer Aaron Hall, and the latest to be named, and maybe the most outrageous is president of WWE wrestling Vince McMahon. If you haven't read any of the allegations against McMahon or watched any news regarding it, like this show today, it may not be safe for work. Per the court documents McMahon, while having a threesome, stopped, defecated on the head of one the participants, then went on to continue with the intercourse. Now a central theme in these cases is that the women involved didn't want to go as far as their more powerful male counterparts wanted to go, there were large age, fame and of course financial gaps in the relationships. On this Payday, Amber and Erika are discussing the explosive sexual misconduct lawsuits against some of today's most iconic celebrities, including Diddy, Jamie Foxx, Jimmy Iovine, Russell Simmons and Aaron Hall. Cassie, a singer and Diddy's former girlfriend, seemingly opened the floodgates with her lawsuit against Diddy and his related entities, alleging among other things, that she was repeatedly raped, drugged, beaten, and trafficked. We start by looking at the changes in the law that allowed these victims to come forward and pursue justice many years after the alleged offenses occurred. Next, we unpack the broken “ish” that enables systemic abuse to happen at such an egregious frequency. And finally, we discuss the importance of community accountability because abuse never happens without the assistance of enablers. Tune in to join the discussion!
Aaron Hall probably did it and Diddy needs to go wherever Russell Simmons went.
