Labour's pushing back against claims its election promises come with an 18-billion dollar hole. National says the party isn't detailing how it would fund major commitments, including restoring pay equity, and creating a Future Fund that could cost $13bn. Labour's finance spokesperson Barbara Edmonds told Mike Hosking that every party must front-up with the numbers, and Labour's confident it can deliver on every promise it makes. She says all their policies are costed - and their fiscal plan will be released later this year. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Patrick clashes with the first caller in a heated debate over Catholic exclusivity, blessings, and whether Catholics truly know how to pray or seek spiritual help. Accusations fly as the caller insists that lay Catholics are left spiritually wanting and critiques the refusal to seek blessings from non-Catholic ministers, while Patrick defends the Church’s distinct practices and the special authority granted to priests, dismissing broad generalizations as untrue. Patrick opens the hour with a very heated caller, Joseph, who claims Patick is promoting an exclusive Catholicism when it comes to blessings. (00:35) Jodi - I disagree with Joseph. Confession is absolutely something that is so good for the soul. It prepares our soul for the end of life. (12:27) Monica - No matter what parish I go to blessing has been easy for me. Joseph’s comment confuses me. At first this made me angry, but as the call continued, I felt like maybe he was hurting. (17:48) Sean - What does Matthew 16:18 mean about Peter the Rock? How can I understand? (19:48) Didier - I think it is a fallacy that Protestants are trying to convert Catholics. It's like saying people with other English accents don’t speak English. (29:36) Email – Everyone in heaven is a Catholic Richard – Did you say Catholics who leave the Church will not go to heaven? (37:29) Katherine - Do we keep our memories in heaven? Will our entire earthly experience still be present to us? (44:19) Barbara - We do have to be careful about Catholic chaplains being sidelined. US army recently cut down support systems that did affect Catholic chaplains. (47:41) Nader - In order to get to heaven, we have to receive the sacraments. What if I don't have access to a priest? SHORT TITLE OPTIONS Graham's Reckoning? South Carolina Showdown Corruption, Reform & Runoffs The GOP Civil War Begins Anybody But Lindsey? DESCRIPTION South Carolina politics takes center stage as fierce criticism of Senator Lindsey Graham collides with major campaign interviews from Attorney General candidate David Stumbo, anti-corruption challenger David Pascoe, and gubernatorial hopeful Alan Wilson. Accusations of establishment politics, judicial corruption, immigration failures, and the lingering fallout from Russiagate dominate a heated primary day discussion. Is South Carolina on the verge of political reform—or more of the same? EPISODE SUMMARY Today's episode dives deep into South Carolina's Republican primary battles, featuring sharp attacks against Senator Lindsey Graham and claims that his post-election political transformation could quickly disappear after securing another term. The conversation explores long-standing frustrations over immigration enforcement, judicial reform, government transparency, and legislative influence in Columbia. Attorney General candidate David Stumbo outlines plans to overhaul judicial selection and reduce reliance on politically connected law firms. David Pascoe presents himself as the anti-corruption candidate prepared to challenge the state's entrenched political establishment. When a newly divorced mother moved her daughters into a townhouse in western Michigan, the last thing she expected to worry about was a bathroom sink.At first, it seemed simple enough. Someone kept leaving the water running. The problem was nobody would admit doing it.Weeks turned into months. Accusations turned into arguments. And before long, even the girls were starting to feel uncomfortable around the small bathroom tucked beneath the staircase. The sink kept turning on. Nobody claimed responsibility. And eventually the family began asking themselves a question they never expected: What if nobody was lying?#RealGhostStories #ParanormalPodcast #GhostStories #HauntedHouse #TrueGhostStory #PoltergeistActivity #UnexplainedMystery #HauntedBathroom #ParanormalEncounter #TheBathroomGhost #Ghosts #ParanormalActivityLove real ghost stories? Watch as Democrats turn a serious congressional hearing into a complete circus by obsessing over Marco Rubio's shoes. This is peak Washington dysfunction. In this jaw-dropping clip, Secretary of State Marco Rubio gets grilled by a Democrat congresswoman who bizarrely brings up a pair of Florsheim shoes gifted by President Trump. Instead of focusing on foreign policy or national security, she uses the shoes as “evidence” that Rubio “can't admit facts.” Rubio's confused reaction and strong pushback perfectly highlight how unhinged and out of touch the radical Left has become. This isn't governance — it's political theater designed to embarrass conservatives while America faces real crises. Republicans understand what's really happening here: desperate Democrats attacking common-sense leaders like Marco Rubio because they have no real arguments left. We also cover: President Trump CONFIRMS phone call with Bibi. Ukrainian drone HITS St. Petersburg, Russia. Joe Biden CRASHES Dr. Jill Biden's book tour. Support for same-sex marriage flattened in the U.S. Markwayne Mullin clashes with Al Green. If you're tired of the liberal media ignoring these embarrassing moments and the nonstop circus in Washington, this video is for you. Rubio handles it with class and strength, reminding us why strong conservative leadership matters now more than ever. What do you think? Was this the most ridiculous line of questioning you've ever seen, or have Democrats gone even lower? “We choose our defence spending and no one else,” the Prime Minister says as the United States continues to pressure other nations, including New Zealand, to increase military spending. Speaking with Heather du Plessis-Allan on Newstalk ZB's Mike Hosking Breakfast, Christoper Luxon has backed New Zealand's defence spending. Luxon denied New Zealand is “freeloading” off America after US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth fired comments at New Zealand over the weekend. “We choose our defence spending and no one else,” Luxon said. “I'm damn proud we're doubling [the budget] it's been run down over 30 years and it's a big job building it back.” He said spending 2.5% of the country's GDP on defence was “a start and a good place for us to get to” in wake of recent conflict. Luxon confirmed New Zealand is going to maintain its nuclear-free position. “It's [nuclear-free] one of the best things we've done. “I'm very proud and it isn't changing while I'm prime minister. Period.” Over the long weekend, US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth told the Shangri-La Dialogue defence and security conference that New Zealand was “freeloading” off the US military. The claim came in response to a question from Kiwi journalist Anna Fifield, after Hegseth said allies that “refuse to stand up and carry their weight for our collective defence will face a clear shift in how we do business”. At the Singapore conference, Hegseth said he expected allied governments to spend 3.5% of GDP on defence. Last week's Budget outlined how New Zealand will boost defence spending to just over 2% of GDP over eight years. Fifield asked Hegseth if that meant New Zealand was considered a “free rider”. Hegseth said 2% of GDP was not enough, so “2% is freeloading” – though he also said New Zealand and the US' relationship had been “a very fruitful one for a very long time”. Allies couldn't just say: “‘Oh, we've been friends for a long time, so let's work together',” Hegseth said. “It's: ‘We've been friends for a long time so you better have the same visibility as we do, because if we don't, our alliance is meaningless'.” Hegseth also said he didn't have anything against New Zealand and was looking forward to working with New Zealand's Defence Minister and ”enhancing capabilities". Defence Minister Chris Penk was in the audience. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The relationship between Jeffrey Epstein and Sarah Kellen Vickers has long been viewed by critics, survivors, and investigators as one of the clearest examples of how Epstein's operation depended on loyal and deeply embedded facilitators. Kellen was not described in allegations and civil litigation as some distant employee who occasionally answered phones. Instead, she was repeatedly portrayed as one of the key administrators inside Epstein's world, allegedly helping coordinate schedules, arrange massages, communicate with young women, and manage the daily logistics surrounding Epstein's homes and activities. Survivor accounts and court filings over the years consistently placed her near the center of the machinery that kept Epstein's operation running smoothly. Unlike casual acquaintances or peripheral staff members, Kellen allegedly occupied a position of trust and operational importance, functioning almost like a gatekeeper within Epstein's inner circle. Critics argue that her proximity to Epstein over such a long period makes claims of ignorance extremely difficult to accept, especially given the sheer number of allegations, lawsuits, and witness statements that repeatedly tied her to the broader structure surrounding Epstein's abuse network. What continues to fuel outrage is that despite being named repeatedly in litigation and public accusations, Kellen never faced criminal prosecution alongside Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell. Much of that protection stemmed from the infamous 2007–2008 non-prosecution agreement in Florida, which controversially extended immunity to unnamed co-conspirators connected to Epstein. Over time, Kellen and her defenders have attempted to frame her primarily as another victim of Epstein's manipulation and control, but many critics remain deeply skeptical of that narrative. They point to the allegations describing her as an active participant in maintaining the operation's structure rather than someone trapped helplessly inside it. For many observers, Sarah Kellen Vickers represents one of the clearest symbols of the accountability gap at the heart of the Epstein scandal: a figure repeatedly accused of helping facilitate Epstein's activities who nevertheless avoided the kind of scrutiny, prosecution, and public reckoning that eventually reached Maxwell.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com
National Review Senior Editor Charles C.W. Cooke, who also hosts the Charles C.W. Cooke Podcast, fills in for Jim on Wednesday's 3 Martini Lunch. Join Charlie and Greg as they dig into the heinous allegations against Israel by New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristoff, Biden Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas regretting not acting sooner to secure the border, California Democrat Xavier Becerra's pathetic plea for only a few tough questions from the media, and more.First, Charlie and Greg slam Kristof's column accusing Israel of horrific abuses against Palestinian prisoners, including claims involving trained dogs. They contrast those allegations with newly detailed reports documenting the brutal atrocities committed by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 terrorist attacks on Israel.Next, they roll their eyes as former DHS Sec. Mayorkas admits the Biden administration should have acted sooner to control the border. But he still ultimately blames Congress and says he is very proud of the executive orders Biden issued in the summer of 2024 to reduce the chaos. Charlie shreds Mayorkas' argument and explains how the border crisis was intentional. Then, they laugh at California gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra asking a reporter to limit the number of difficult questions. Charlie explains why the moment perfectly captures the modern left's expectations of media coverage. Finally, they react to the winner of the Democratic U.S. Senate primary in Nebraska planning to drop out of the race and endorse the "independent" candidate. Please visit our great sponsors:QuoMoney is on the line.
